“So if you were the governor, or you were in charge in any way during that time, how do you explain where all the money went, and then still become president, because it’s so obvious that there’s either massive incompetence, maybe, or just theft, or both,” he said.

Adams then described Newsom’s proposal to keep the project alive by reducing its size rather than canceling it outright.

“So here’s what Newsom has proposed, that instead of canceling the project because they don’t have any money, and they have no way to get that money back, and there’s it would cost five times more than they thought to build it,” Adams said.

“So there’s no real possibility of building the thing they have funded for just none.”

He said Newsom’s approach was intended to avoid returning the federal funds.

“But instead of canceling the project, he’s trying to extend it and make it a smaller project, something that you could imagine, and probably only in your imagination, they could actually build,” Adams said.

“And the reason that he would want to keep it alive is that if he builds nothing, and he says, I’m not going to build anything, he has to give back the money, or at least he has to give back what maybe was left.”

Adams said Newsom’s plan was designed to keep the funds from being returned.

“So in order to not have to give back any money, he’s going to pretend that there’s still a live project, and it’s just much smaller, Holy f**king sh*t,” Adams said.

“You know, it’s probably legal. You know, it’s more of a weasel legal thing to do.”

Adams questioned how such actions would not disqualify Newsom from national political ambitions.

“But how in the world can you do something like this and still become considered to be a presidential candidate?” Adams said.

He suggested the issue would not reach or influence voters who might support Newsom.

“The only way is if, is if people like me know about it, but I wasn’t going to vote for him,” Adams said.

“And the people who might like him and might vote for him will never hear this story. They will never hear this story.”

Adams said even if the issue were raised publicly, he doubted it would change Democratic voters’ views.

“And even if you brought it up and people heard it for the first time,” Adams said.

“Let’s say, let’s say his competition brought it up at a debate or something. It’s sort of technical, and, you know, I’m not sure it would make any difference to a Democrat.”

He said Newsom could dismiss the issue by framing it as a policy difference rather than wrongdoing.

“And if he has some excuse, like, I don’t know what they’re talking about, we just need a train between these two places, and we have the money. Why wouldn’t we build it?” Adams said.

“So the Democrats could easily be convinced that there’s no real problem here.”

Adams said Newsom could argue there was no criminal conduct involved.

“And he would say, am I indicted for anything? No, is it a crime? No, we’re just doing things differently than Republicans would do them. There’s no crime in that,” Adams said.

He concluded by expressing disbelief that the issue would receive little scrutiny.

“So he could probably, very easily dismiss it in a debate, the news will probably let him have a pass, and it’s just unfrecking believable,” Adams said.

She further claimed that the language used by progressive activists and media figures was developed to divert attention from the economic harm she says immigration policies caused to American workers.

“The whole woke vocabulary was developed as a smoke screen for the mass fleecing of the American working class.”

Chris Sammon, a Staten Island native and avid fisherman, said he noticed the unusual package while exploring newly exposed areas of the reservoir.

“You can see somebody had bundled something up and taped it to this rock with like a mile of tape, which piqued my interest about it,” Sammon said.

Sammon said his initial concern was that the package could contain remains of an animal.

“I figured it was probably either somebody’s pet that they had given some kind of weird water burial to, or it was probably a weapon of some sort,” he told The Post.

“So I was a little concerned that it was going to be some decomposed animal, but luckily it was not.”

Instead, Sammon discovered a pistol and a pair of brass knuckles wrapped together.

He said he immediately turned the items over to a nearby police officer, noting the possibility that the weapons could be tied to a long-unsolved crime.

“I would’ve kept the brass knuckles,” Sammon said, explaining why he chose to alert authorities instead.

The find was one of several unusual discoveries following the significant drop in water levels at Silver Lake.

According to city data, the reservoir held 239.5 million gallons of water as of Dec. 17, well below its roughly 400-million-gallon capacity.

That figure represents a steep decline from 361.5 million gallons recorded in October of the previous year, equating to an 8.5-foot reduction in depth.

“That I can remember, that’s definitely the lowest. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it getting close to that level. Every year it seems to go low, but not like that,” Sammon said.

The city’s New York City Department of Environmental Protection stopped refilling the reservoir during a summer heat wave, citing concerns about drinking water supplies amid conditions that mirrored last year’s historic drought.

While New York City ultimately avoided a formal drought declaration, 20 other counties in the state, including Nassau and Suffolk, were placed under drought watch.

As of Dec. 24, state reservoirs were reported to be at 74.5 percent capacity, more than 13 percent below normal levels.

“From the Cannonsville Reservoir far upstate to the southernmost tip of Staten Island, DEP carefully manages the city’s reserves of drinking water,” a DEP spokesperson said in a statement.

“DEP’s top priority is conserving as much water as possible in our upstate reservoirs to ensure this valuable supply is available when needed.”

The agency added, “For that reason, we do not plan to refill Silver Lake immediately, as its purpose is purely aesthetic.”

Despite warnings that Silver Lake is off-limits, residents have continued to explore the newly exposed shoreline.

In addition to the weapon cache, visitors have reported finding discarded phones, golf balls believed to have come from a nearby course, and large amounts of trash.

A pipe normally hidden underwater has also become visible, which DEP officials said is “part of the reservoir’s infrastructure.”

While no timeline has been set to restore water levels, DEP officials indicated refilling could occur if upstate reservoirs are replenished through rainfall or snowpack.

Until then, authorities continue to caution the public against entering restricted areas around the reservoir.

Authorities said witnesses at the scene reported that a man threatened the girl with a knife and forced her into a pickup truck. Investigators were provided with a description of the vehicle involved in the abduction.

Using tracking data available through the parental control features on his daughter’s phone, the father traced her location to a secluded area nearly two miles from where the kidnapping occurred.

When he arrived at the location, the father found his daughter and her dog inside a maroon-colored pickup truck along with a partially nude adult male.

The father removed his daughter from the vehicle and immediately provided the information to law enforcement, allowing deputies to begin searching for the suspect and the truck.

Based on witness descriptions and the information provided by the father, Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies located the vehicle and arrested 23-year-old Giovanni Rosales-Espinoza without incident.

Authorities said Rosales-Espinoza has been charged with Aggravated Kidnapping and Indecency with a Child. He is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Jail, according to officials.

A preliminary investigation determined that the suspect threatened the girl with a knife before abducting her from the street. Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit are continuing to investigate the case.

Montgomery County Sheriff Wesley Doolittle addressed the incident in a statement, emphasizing the seriousness of the crime and the response by law enforcement.

“Christmas is a day meant for joy, but this man chose to shatter that joy by targeting a child,” Doolittle said.

“I am incredibly proud of our deputies and detectives who worked tirelessly to ensure this dangerous predator was swiftly apprehended and is now off our streets.

Rest assured that your Sheriff’s Office remains vigilant every hour of every day to keep your families safe.”

Doolittle said the investigation remains active and that no additional information will be released at this time.

Presler’s description focused on the state’s long-standing “vouching” provision, which allows certain voters to attest to the residency of others who lack qualifying documentation at the polls.

Dhillon, who serves as assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice, shared Presler’s post and added her own comment.

“This is corrupt AF,” Dhillon wrote.

Presler responded by thanking Dhillon for drawing attention to the issue.

The vouching process cited by Presler is publicly described on the Minnesota Secretary of State’s official website under the section titled “Register on Election Day.”

The site lists vouching as one of the acceptable methods for proving residence when registering to vote at a polling place.

“Registered voter who can confirm your address,” the website states.

“A registered voter from your precinct can go with you to the polling place to sign an oath confirming your address. This is known as ‘vouching.’

A registered voter can vouch for up to eight voters. You cannot vouch for others if someone vouched for you.”

Minnesota is one of several states that permit Election Day registration, and the vouching option has been part of state election law for years.

State officials have maintained that the system is designed to ensure eligible voters are not prevented from voting due to paperwork issues.

While there has been no official determination of widespread fraud tied to the vouching process, critics have pointed to past cases and structural concerns.

The Heritage Foundation’s Voter Fraud Map and Election Fraud Database documents a 2017 case involving Zameahia J. Ismail, a non-citizen who voted in Minneapolis after an acquaintance vouched for her address during same-day registration without identification.

Election Integrity Watch, a conservative election watchdog group, has previously raised concerns about Minnesota’s election framework.

The group has stated that the “combination of no ID requirements, no provisional balloting, Election Day registration and ‘vouching’ makes Minnesota’s election system ripe for abuse.”

State Republicans have also questioned aspects of Minnesota’s election system in recent years, including automatic voter registration, the vouching provision, and procedures used to verify citizenship.

Dhillon’s criticism of the Minnesota system comes amid broader legal actions by the Department of Justice related to election administration.

The DOJ has filed lawsuits against Minnesota and other states over voter roll maintenance and compliance with federal election laws.

“States are required to safeguard American elections by complying with our federal elections laws,” Dhillon said.

“Clean voter rolls protect American citizens from voting fraud and abuse, and restore their confidence that their states’ elections are conducted properly, with integrity, and in compliance with the law.”

The DOJ has not announced any specific enforcement action tied directly to Minnesota’s vouching policy following Dhillon’s comment. State election officials have not indicated that changes to the system are imminent.

Minnesota’s vouching provision remains in effect and is listed as an approved proof-of-residence option for Election Day registration ahead of future elections.

Elon Musk and Ted Cruz discussed entitlement fraud, illegal immigration, and national election outcomes in an exchange focused on Democratic policy concerns and the potential political impact of halting fraudulent government payments.

The discussion centered on Musk’s claim that Democrats are primarily concerned about the possibility that large-scale entitlement payments to illegal aliens could be stopped, which he described as the core issue driving political resistance.

Musk said Democrats fear the end of what he described as fraudulent entitlement payments involving multiple federal programs.

He said those programs include Social Security, Medicare, unemployment benefits, disability programs, and Small Business Administration loans.

According to Musk, the concern is that these payments could be cut off to illegal aliens, which he described as the central issue behind political opposition.

“And the single biggest thing that they’re that they’re worried about is that Doge is going to turn off fraudulent payments of entitlements. I mean, everything from Social Security, Medicare, you know, unemployment, disability, Small Business Administration, loans turn them off to illegals. This is the crux of the matter. This is the thing that why they really hate my guts, want me to die,” Musk said.

Cruz asked Musk to quantify the scale of the alleged entitlement fraud, specifically questioning whether the amounts involved reached into the billions or hundreds of billions of dollars.

“And do you think that’s billions, hundreds of billions? What do you think the scale is of that?” Cruz asked.

Musk responded by estimating the national total at between $100 billion and $200 billion.

He said this estimate reflects what he described as widespread entitlement fraud used to attract and retain large numbers of illegal aliens across the country.

“I think across the country, it’s, it’s in its wellness of 100 billion, maybe 200 billion. So by, by using entitlements fraud, the Democrats have been able to attract and retain vast numbers of illegal immigrants,” Musk said.

Cruz then interjected with a brief follow-up that framed the issue in electoral terms.

“And buy voters,” Cruz said.

Musk agreed with that characterization and expanded on how he believes the strategy affects elections, particularly in closely contested states.

He repeated his estimate of $100 billion to $200 billion and said that even small shifts in voter numbers can permanently alter political outcomes in swing states.

“And buy voters. Exactly I think across the country, it’s, it’s in its wellness of 100 billion, maybe 200 billion. So by, by using entitlements fraud, the Democrats have been able to attract and retain vast numbers of illegal immigrants,” Musk said.

Musk said it does not take a large number of votes to flip swing states, noting that some are decided by margins of 10,000 to 20,000 votes. He argued that bringing in significantly more illegal aliens than the voter margin in those states could eliminate their status as swing states over time.

“It doesn’t take much to turn the swing states blue. I mean, often a swing state be won by 10-20,000 votes. So the Dems can bring in 200,000 illegals, and over time, get them legalized,” Musk said.

Musk also addressed election integrity, stating that even without considering wrongdoing, the scale of immigration alone could reshape elections.

“Not, not counting any cheating that takes place, because there is some cheating. But even without cheating, if you make, if you have, if you bring in illegals that are 10x the voter differential in a swing state, it will no longer be a swing state,” he said.

Musk said this process would eventually result in Democrats winning all swing states, leading to permanent control of national institutions.

“And the dance will win all the swing states, just a matter of time, and America will be permanent, Deep Blue, socialist state, the House, the Senate, the presidency and the Supreme Court will all go hardcore Dem,” Musk said.

He continued by stating that such control would allow Democrats to further expand immigration, making political change impossible through elections alone.

“They will then further cement that by by bringing in even more aliens. So you just you can’t vote your way out of it,” Musk said.

Musk concluded by comparing the outcome to California, arguing that the situation would be worse because relocation would no longer be an option.

“One party socialist state, and it’ll be much worse than California, because at least California is mitigated by the fact that someone can leave California and go to Texas. Make everywhere California. But worse,” Musk said.
