Judge Rules Target Must Face Lawsuit Following Pride 2023 Backlash for Deceiving Shareholders

A Florida judge has denied Target’s attempt to dismiss a lawsuit alleging that the retailer misled shareholders about the risks associated with its LGBTQ-themed Pride Month merchandise, which faced backlash and a customer boycott.

Publicly traded corporations are required to disclose all potential risk factors in their financial reports, regardless of how unlikely or minuscule they may be.

U.S. District Judge John Badalamenti in Fort Myers ruled that the plaintiffs had presented sufficient information to proceed with claims that Target failed to properly account for social and political risks in its public disclosures.

The lawsuit, filed by investor Brian Craig, accuses Target’s board of prioritizing calls for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives from activist groups while neglecting the potential for negative reactions to its 2023 Pride campaign.

The controversy arose after Target introduced LGBTQ-themed merchandise for Pride Month in May 2023, which led to confrontations between shoppers and employees, as well as incidents of products being vandalized or thrown to the floor. In response, the retailer removed some items from stores, citing safety concerns amid a nationwide boycott.

Target had urged the court to dismiss the case, arguing that the allegations were unsupported, that it had warned investors about possible backlash related to its DEI policies, and that the lawsuit stemmed from the plaintiff’s disagreement with Target’s business choices.

However, in a ruling on Wednesday, Dec. 4, Judge Badalamenti noted that the plaintiffs had alleged “numerous Federal securities law violations”, and that the case should be heard in court.

Many on social media highlighted that Target was facing the adage of “go woke, go broke”.

Others noted a shift in the social discourse following last month’s presidential election.

Ana Navarro Defends Claim Woodrow Wilson Pardoned Fictional Relative Through ChatGPT

Ana Navarro made a bizarre claim to support her widely mocked claim that that a fictional relative of Woodrow Wilson was pardoned in the wake of the Hunter Biden scandal.

On Monday, Dec. 2, Navarro posted on X outlining her support for the President’s decision. “Woodrow Wilson pardoned his brother-in-law, Hunter deButts. Bill Clinton pardoned his brother, Roger. Donald Trump pardoned his daughter’s father-in-law, Charlie Kushner. And just appointed him Ambassador to France. But tell me again how Joe Biden ‘is setting precedent’?” she wrote on the site, accompanied by two laughing emojis.

The name Hunter deButts sounds made up – though there actually are people named that – but her claim was 100% made up. Woodrow Wilson did not have a brother named Hunter deButts.

Additionally, Clinton’s pardon of his brother Roger was in January 2001 – for a 1985 cocaine possession and drug-trafficking conviction that he had already served time in federal prison for.

Notably, liberal pundit and Occupy Democrats editor Grant Stern made similarly dubious claims without bothering to do even a quick Google search.

Responses were spectacular, with some sharing clips of Navarro previously praising Biden for his initial reluctance to pardon his son. The goalposts certainly have been moved.

The backlash clearly irked the broadcaster, who, some 22 hours later, posted “evidence” of her claims with a screenshot of ChatGPT – admitting that she asked the AI platform for help and then copy and pasted from it without checking whether or not the claims were true.

As the community note highlighted, “ChatGPT and other large language models (LLMs) are prone to “hallucinating” details, wherein false or misleading information is presented as fact. Given the unreliability of LLMs, they should not be relied on for fact-checking.”

for example, disgraced lawyer Michael Cohen was caught relying on AI in a court case because the program cited fictional cases in a filing submitted to a judge.

This “evidence” also surprised many who responded accordingly.

Others called Navarro’s fact-checking “lazy”.

Democrat Michigan Attorney General Suggests Playing Music Outside to Discourage Porch Pirates

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is fighting against porch pirates with Christmas lights and holiday music. The top cop in the Great Lakes State offered advice to Michiganders on Wednesday to help them avoid package thefts in the leadup to Christmas, one element of a Holiday Scams Campaign run by her Consumer Protection Team that launched on Black Friday.

“Whether it’s a package or a piece of mail, unattended deliveries are easy targets for porch pirates,” Nessel said in a statement. “By planning ahead and taking security measures, you can make sure your sell-deserved gifts and packages reach you safely while keeping thieves from stealing your holiday cheer.”

Much of the advice from the AG includes obvious anti-theft measures, such as shipping packages to secure locations like Amazon Lockers, FedEx offices, and workplaces. Porch cameras, motion detectors, and keeping porches well lit are also good ideas, according to Nessel’s office. But there’s also nuggets of sage advice that will help residents “create the illusion of presence.” “Even when you’re not home, make it look like someone is present by leaving lights or music on,” the AG suggests.

Fetterman’s Remark About DeSantis Vote Sets Internet Ablaze

Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman couldn’t resist poking fun at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis after reports surfaced that President-elect Donald Trump is considering DeSantis as a potential pick for Secretary of Defense.

The buzz comes amid claims that Trump’s team might ditch their earlier choice, former Fox News host Pete Hegseth, due to hurdles in securing his Senate confirmation. According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump casually floated DeSantis’ name during a recent chat at Mar-a-Lago, as reported by MSN.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Fetterman weighed in with his signature mix of humor and snark. “I’ll consider a YES on him if he finally admits to his boots with 4″ lifts,” the senator quipped, referring to a popular internet conspiracy about DeSantis allegedly wearing height-boosting insoles.

The online theory, which gained traction during DeSantis’ brief presidential bid, scrutinized the peculiar shape of his boots. Social media sleuths speculated that the governor might have used lifts to appear taller—a potential edge when standing next to Trump, who towers at 6’3”.

Fetterman’s jab resonated with many of his followers, who reveled in the lighthearted commentary.

The speculation surrounding Trump’s Cabinet picks remains a hot topic, but the spotlight on DeSantis comes with an extra dose of drama. If nominated, DeSantis would have to navigate a confirmation process that could expose both allies and detractors within the Senate. Meanwhile, Fetterman’s playful post ensures the online conversation keeps buzzing.

“Hello. How are you? It’s very nice to see you,” Barron says, shaking White’s hand with an air of formality. His deep voice, resonating with the cadence of his father, drew immediate comparisons online.

The quip elicited laughter from the room, but Barron, shaking his head, seemed to have no plans for stepping into the octagon.

ESPN’s Stephen A Smith Torches Biden And The Dems: “You’re Full Of It”

ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith delivered a fiery critique of Joe Biden’s decision to pardon his son, Hunter Biden.

Smith accused the outgoing president of dishonesty and political maneuvering after Biden announced the controversial pardon just days before leaving office.

Joe Biden issued a statement on Sunday explaining his decision to pardon Hunter Biden, who was convicted earlier this year on federal gun charges and tax evasion charges.

Hunter was scheduled to be sentenced on December 12 and December 16 for the respective charges.

Biden described his son’s prosecution as “unfair” and claimed that political motivations had influenced the legal proceedings.

“I believe in the justice system, but as I have wrestled with this, I also believe raw politics has infected this process, and it led to a miscarriage of justice — and once I made this decision this weekend, there was no sense in delaying it further,” Biden said in the statement. “I hope Americans will understand why a father and a President would come to this decision.”

Smith, however, did not hold back in his criticism, accusing Biden of being disingenuous in his explanation.

“Respectfully, to the president of the United States, specifically as it pertains to that statement, you’re full of it,” Smith said. “I’m going to look right here, over the national airwaves, and look the president of the United States in the face and say, ‘You’re full of it.’”

Smith acknowledged the personal nature of Biden’s decision as a father but took issue with the Biden’s lengthy justification.

“I said weeks ago, you’re damn right you should let him off. He’s your son, and he’s a recovering addict, and he’s battled those demons for years,” Smith said.

“The fact that you let your son off, I totally understand. Donald Trump would have let his son off. Anybody would have, or at least most people. I understand that. That’s not the issue, sir.”

The commentator added that Biden could have made his case simply by standing by his son without providing an elaborate explanation.

“All you had to say was, ‘That’s my son. I have the power to pardon him, to grant him clemency, whatever. That’s what I’m doing. You all kick rocks.’ That would have been good enough for me,” Smith stated. “But what’s all of that other stuff you said about him?”

Smith further criticized the timing of the pardon, noting that Biden issued it only after the election and as President-elect Donald Trump prepares to take office.

“You didn’t talk about this then. As a matter of fact, you specifically said you wouldn’t pardon your son … before the election. You’re announcing it now that we know Donald Trump is coming in and about to be sworn in as the 47th president,” Smith said. “You were intending to do this all along, which again is no problem. But it doesn’t make you any less full of it.”

Smith argued that Biden’s reversal damaged the credibility of the Democratic Party, which had spent years criticizing Trump over legal issues.

“Because when you look at Donald Trump and how the Democrats went after him … you do understand the Democrats are no longer in a position to say anything, right? You can talk till the cows come home. You’re whistling into the wind. Nobody wants to hear what you have to say right now,” Smith said.

He concluded by saying Biden’s actions undermined trust in the presidency and harmed the American people.

“All you had to do was say, ‘He’s my son. I can’t let him go to jail,’” Smith said. “What’s the matter with y’all?”

Biden’s decision to pardon Hunter has sparked criticism from both sides of the political spectrum, with many questioning the implications of his actions for public trust and accountability.

Earlier this month, Patel announced the “massive declassification” of troves of information ranging from the Jeffrey Epstein files to the “P Diddy” list.

Patel told Conservative podcast host Benny Johnson that releasing documents that implicate the Department of Justice and FBI for their illegal surveillance of over 250,000 Americans.

“When we go back to the DOJ and FBI, we still don’t have all the lists, all the FISA documents, all of the things they did to 275,000 Americans illegally in one year,” Patel said.

“We need to put that out there. I’m not saying we reveal the exact methods, but we can keep the hood on the engine while showing the American people how their rights were violated.

“To me, what you mentioned is the most important part: restoring trust in our agencies and departments. And the way to do that isn’t to treat them like a piñata, hoping for something good to pop out,” he added.

“The way to do it is by giving the American people the truth. And that’s what they feared about Donald Trump,” Patel continued.

“He’s going to come in there and might just give them the Epstein list, the ‘Diddy list,’ and everything else they’re terrified of being exposed.”

Mysterious Drone Activity Detected Near Trump’s Golf Courses Prompts FAA Airspace Restriction

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued two flight restrictions on Tuesday after suspicious drone activity was detected over President-elect Donald Trump‘s Bedminster golf club in New Jersey.

The drone activity was first reported within Morris County, the border two miles north of Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in Somerset County.

The agency issued two “temporary flight restrictions” (TFR) following requests from “the state’s federal security partners.”

However, the strange drone sightings have continued into this week in Central New Jersey.

One TFR applies to an area near Solberg-Hunterdon County Airport with airspace near Trump Bedminster.

Flights are also banned banned Picatinny Arsenal, a major U.S. Army hub in Dover, New Jersey.

The ban will remain in place throughout the rest of the week, and restrictions on the Picatinny Arsenal will remain until December 26, 2024.

“Safely integrating drones into the National Airspace System is a key priority for the FAA,” the agency said in a statement Tuesday.

“We look into all reports of unauthorized drone operations and investigate when appropriate,” the statement added.

The FBI issued a joint statement with the New Jersey State Police and the State Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness requesting information related to “the recent sightings of possible drones flying in several areas along the Raritan River.”

“Witnesses have spotted the cluster of what look to be drones and a possible fixed-wing aircraft,” FBI spokesperson Amy Thoreson said.

“We have reports from the public and law enforcement dating back several weeks.”

The bureau is also investigating several sightings of “fixed-wing aircraft” over central New Jersey.

Morris County Sheriff James Gannon said h there is “no advisable immediate danger to the public at this time” and asked the public for clear photos of the drones.

Meanwhile, drones have been sighted over British-American joint bases in the United Kingdom.

Fox News reported that “Swarms of small drones” have been seen over Royal Air Force (RAF) Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall, RAF Fairford, and RAF Feltwell in England.

According to a Pentagon spokesman, the drones did not have any adverse effect on the base’s buildings, personnel or assets

Additional security assets have been dispatched around the bases in response to the sightings.

Woman Calling Herself a Man Will Tell SCOTUS to Allow Child Sex Changes

The issue of child sex-changes is finally coming before the Supreme Court. Of course, you’ve probably not heard the procedure described that way. There’s a reason for that: Doesn’t “gender-affirming care” sound nicer? That’s what transgender activists think, and that’s why they’ve chosen a euphemism to disguise the chemical and surgical castration of minor children.

The case before the high court is called U.S. v Skrmetti, and the court will hear oral arguments on December 4. At issue is a law in Tennessee banning so-called “gender-affirming care” for minors. The U.S. federal government is suing Tennessee. That’s right: The Biden administration wants to allow this extreme child abuse, as it has been completely captured by obviously mentally unstable activists who believe that there are children born in the wrong sex’s body.

One of the most dangerous of these activists is a woman who calls herself “Chase Strangio” (birth name: Kate Strangio). She is a slight, thin woman who has taken hormones to give herself what she believes is the appearance of being a man. Strangio is the lead transgender lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union. The ACLU, once a free-speech organization, has been defending this kind of abuse against children for years.

As X/Twitter commentator Brad Polumbo points out, Strangio’s extreme ideology is in fact mainstream. This is not the fringe we’re talking about. The dominant, socially acceptable position in American public life is that not only is it OK to practice chemical and genital mutilation on children, but it’s a moral imperative. Why, these children will kill themselves if they’re not allowed to become their “true gender,” according to activists.

You have to see and hear Chase Strangio in her own words to believe them. During this spot on CNN before her upcoming argument before the court, Strangio says that children as young as two years old know “exactly who they are.” Yes, she means that actual toddlers can “know” that they’re born in the wrong body. Can they also know that they are dinosaurs or robots?

“These are not doctors being forced to provide this medication,” Strangio said. “These are doctors who are wanting to treat their patients in the best way that they know how, based on the best available evidence to us. And these are young people who may have known since they were two years old exactly who they are, who suffered for six or seven years before they had any relief.”

Give it a watch below:

Let’s see if social media users are buying what Strangio plans to sell the court.

How did this user figure out that Strangio is a woman? Was it the female voice coupled with the woke valley girl accent?

This one gets right to the heart of it:

The View Co-Host Sunny Hostin Forced to Read Another Embarrassing Legal Correction

ABC’s The View was forced yet again to issue another legal note regarding the panel’s recent comments about President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for defense secretary, Pete Hegseth.

On Monday, co-host Sunny Hostin issued a statement after co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin commented on a private email sent by Hegseth’s mother.

The email detailed a family dispute in which Hegseth’s mother accused him of mistreating his ex-wife.

However, Hegseth’s mom has since apologized for the statement, stating she made the comments while in an emotional state.

“It is not true. It has never been true,” she said

“I know my son. He is a good father, husband.”

She also slammed the left-wing outlet for releasing the private email, calling it “disgusting.”

While discussing the Trump cabinet picks, Hostin began with by saying, “I have a very quick statement.”

“It’s not gonna be that quick,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg interjected.

“Pete Hegseth has denied any wrongdoing, his lawyers said he paid the woman in 2023 to head off the threat of a baseless lawsuit,” host Hostin said with a stone cold expression on her face.

“No charges were ever brought.”

The legal notes came just a week after the show issued another “legal note” on Matt Gaetz regarding allegations against him.

During a discussion of the Cabinet picks, Hostin said:

“Matt Gaetz has long denied all allegations, calling the claims ‘invented’, and saying in a statement to ABC News that this false smear, following a three-year criminal investigation, should be viewed with great skepticism.”

“The DOJ investigation was closed with no charges being brought.”
