A former researcher at OpenAI was found dead in his San Francisco apartment just months after he blew the whistle over alleged copyright violations by the company in developing its ChatGPT chatbot.

The San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said 26-year-old Suchir Balaji’s death has been ruled as a suicide.

Officers from the San Francisco Police Department conducted a welfare check at Balaji’s apartment on November 26.

Upon inspection, the officer discovered a deceased adult male but reported no signs of foul play in their preliminary findings.

A month earlier, an article published in the New York Times highlighted Balaji’s concerns about the impact of AI technologies like ChatGPT on the profitability of creators and organizations supplying the data used for AI training.

“If you believe what I believe, you have to just leave the company,” he told the outlet, adding that “this is not a sustainable model for the internet ecosystem as a whole.”

Balaji left the company over the concerns.

As Mercury News reported, Its public release in late 2022 spurred a torrent of lawsuits against OpenAI from authors, computer programmers and journalists, who say the company illegally stole their copyrighted material to train its program and elevate its value past $150 billion.

Balaji voiced concern about his assignment of gathering data from the internet for the company’s GPT-4 program, which analyzed text from nearly the entire internet to train its artificial intelligence program.

According to Balaji, the practice violated the country’s “fair use” laws, and he posted an analysis on his personal website arguing that point.

Balaji wrote that no known factors “seem to weigh in favor of ChatGPT being a fair use of its training data,”

“That being said, none of the arguments here are fundamentally specific to ChatGPT either, and similar arguments could be made for many generative AI products in a wide variety of domains.”

There are predators all around us. Human predators. We find it easy to recognize danger in wild animals like wolves and bears. Well, most of us do. If you’re looking for exceptions just scan the news for stories about wildlife encounters in Yellowstone National Park. Every year dozens of tourists (at least) seem to believe they’re at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone instead of the real thing. Human visitors try to get up close and personal with grizzlies and bison, and they pay the price.

But people have a much harder time recognizing predators of their own species. Despite our obsession with the true crime genre, the majority of everyday people seem largely unaware of when someone is wearing a “mask” of gentility and respectability. Predatory people try to blend in with “normies” for obvious reasons: it’s easier to snare a target who can’t see them coming. Serial rapist and killer Ted Bundy crafted his image with the use of props to appear unthreatening to his female targets; he drove a VW bug, which was supposed to make people think he was a “square” who liked sensible and economical cars. You know, like a professor. He also hobbled around on fake crutches, like a bird feigning a broken wing. 

Socially predatory people have found a boon in the modern transgender mania. Men who are up to no good figured out that they can fool plenty of people—particularly empathetic women—into believing they’re soft and gentle by wearing makeup and acting in a way that they think makes them appear feminine and non-dangerous. 

Take trans activist Jeffrey Marsh. He wears sparkly makeup and talks in a simpering, lispy falsetto when he records his seemingly endless social media messages about “trans rights” and what terrible bigots parents are who don’t accept their child’s declaration of being born in the wrong body. Indeed, he’s very, very keen to talk to such children alone without their parents’ knowledge. 

Marsh clearly believes that his sparkle-uncle-aunt-drag routine will lull the gullible into thinking of him as safe and warm, and he’s probably right. But there’s an important lesson here: if someone goes out of their way to present themselves as loving and cuddly, it may be a disguise for less savory motivations. 

It’s impossible to tell how many people are fooled by this act, but it’s clear that many are. Take a look at one of his latest videos where he encourages people to cut off their pro-Trump family members. Marsh is adept at what’s called the “narcissistic reversal.” That’s when someone who bullies or mistreats people presents himself as the actual victim. Marsh is a master, co-opting the sensible advice about how to protect yourself from abuse and bullying by presenting himself and people like him as the victims of social bullies.

Hollywood actor Daniel Baldwin claimed major injury elites are engaging in “bidding wars” for Sean “Diddy” Combs’ blackmail sex tapes filmed from his infamous freak-off parties.

During a recent PBD podcast appearance, Baldwin said that Diddy has “videos of the parties… I’ve heard from friends that are attorneys… there’s a bidding war going on right now.”

Baldwin continued: “They’re driving that price up because if you want your client and your famous actor to not be involved, a famous singer to not come out, here’s the price, and that they’re just selling to the individuals that are in those.”

“This is what I heard. They’re selling those videos,” he added, suggesting Hollywood elites are buying the tapes so they don’t go to jail.

Baldwin said Diddy has now become the Jeffrey Epstein of Hollywood.

As we reported earlier this year, Diddy’s former bodyguard revealed the rapper had compromising tapes of elite politicians engaging in disturbing sexual activities with children in what has been referred to as the “secret room.”

“You know who else they were doing an investigation on during that whole time period? It was the mayor and the politicians in New York City,” Gene Deal stated.

“They turned around, gave him the key to the city. All the mayor’s people that he brought in here in New York City are resigning. They all resigned.”

“People are not going to tie this together, but if you look at it, you have to say, because of Mayor Adams and his relationship with Diddy, it brought on the Southern District of New York to start investigating Diddy on civil lawsuits that were filed against him because the feds are going after all these politicians in New York City,” the former bodyguard also claimed.

As we reported earlier this year, jailed music executive Suge Knight warned that Diddy’s ‘life’s in danger’ because of the “secret room’ footage.

Meanwhile, a source close to Diddy said the rapper has “enough dirt to hang half of Hollywood,” with many high-profile film industry figures praying “he keeps his mouth shut.”

Combs is accused of abusing, threatening, and coercing women and others, sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice, among other crimes.

U.S. Senate Democrats have introduced legislation amending the constitution to establish term limits for Supreme Court justices — but with no term limits for Congress in sight.  Sens. Joe Manchin, I-W. Va., and Peter Welch, D-Vt., brought the bill forth this week limiting future Supreme Court appointees to 18-year terms. Manchin, along with Kyrsten Sinema, I-Az., recently angered Democrats’ left-most base in spoiling a Democrat-controlled National Labor Relations Board.

However, the proposed legislation may violate Article III of the Constitution. But what would happen if such a measure were taken up? The appointment of a new justice in the wake of a current justice’s rotation off the court might eventually inaugurate a cycle wherein a new justice was appointed every two years. 

In other words, court appointments will be directly indexed to the winning presidential ticket. Advocates have said such a move would lower the temperature of Senate confirmation hearings. Whether that would actually transpire is unclear, but it would surely raise the stakes in presidential campaigns. In any event, the legislation represents a guarantee of two appointments per term, increasing the stakes in controlling the executive branch, if not a technical increase in executive power.

FBI Director Christopher Wray announced his resignation on Wednesday, stating he would step down at the end of January.

The announcement marks the end of his tenure leading the bureau during a time of heightened scrutiny and controversy.

Former President Donald Trump quickly named his pick for Wray’s replacement, selecting Kash Patel, a known Trump ally with experience in the Department of Defense and as a senior advisor to the Director of National Intelligence.

While some welcomed Wray’s resignation, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and a vocal critic of Wray, made it clear that the FBI director’s departure does not absolve him of accountability.

Speaking to Fox News Digital, Jordan celebrated the news but reiterated his commitment to ongoing oversight of the bureau.

Jordan described Wray’s resignation as “great” news and criticized his tenure, pointing to what he called significant missteps.

“I mean, Chris Wray was, you know, investigating moms and dads who show up for school board meetings. He was putting out a memorandum on saying, ‘If you’re a pro-life Catholic, you’re an extremist.’ The FBI retaliated against whistleblowers who came and gave us that kind of information. We learned yesterday that they were spying on congressional staffers and their metadata. And of course, he raided President Trump’s home,” Jordan said.

The Ohio congressman has overseen multiple investigations into the FBI and Department of Justice through the Judiciary Committee, many of which have focused on allegations of political bias and misconduct under Wray’s leadership. Jordan emphasized that the work of holding the FBI accountable is far from over.

When asked whether his committee’s oversight of Wray’s handling of the bureau would continue, Jordan replied, “Oh, yeah.”

He added that additional reports from the inspector general could soon shed light on further issues within the FBI.

“And there’s, we think, reports coming that are going to, you know, shed even more light on what’s been going on down line from the inspector general,” Jordan told Fox News Digital.

Jordan’s comments come amid ongoing frustration among some pundits and observers over the perceived lack of consequences for alleged wrongdoing exposed by congressional investigations.

Critics argue that despite revelations of misconduct, little accountability has been enforced during the past several years.

The landscape of federal law enforcement and justice oversight could shift significantly if Donald Trump, who has announced his intention to seek another term in the White House, returns to office.

This marks the second time Trump has received the title, with the first being in 2016 following his victory over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Trump faced several criminal indictments, including 34 felony counts brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, charges related to classified documents stored at Mar-a-Lago, and allegations of attempting to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia and Washington, D.C.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis charged Trump under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.

Trump’s legal team filed a request on Dec. 4 to dismiss the Georgia charges, citing his upcoming presidential term.

Despite these legal hurdles, Trump became the first Republican nominee in 20 years to win the popular vote, flipping all seven battleground states and securing his path back to the White House.

The largest-ever surge in illegal immigration occurred under Joe Biden‘s watch, according to the left-leaning New York Times, which laid the blame directly on the senile president.

The conclusion was based on an analysis of government data and confirms what President-elect Donald Trump has been warning about for the past four years.

The report said that between 2021 and 2023, the total net migration into the U.S. was 2.4 million. Under Biden’s presidency, more than eight million people entered the country, which is more than the populations of at least 38 states. Moreover, that number is likely to be much higher, with estimates of a further two million referring to those who evade capture by border officials or “getaways” that are not included in official statistics.

According to NYT, the flood of illegal immigration has “caused the share of the U.S. population born in another country to reach a new high, 15.2 percent in 2023, up from 13.6 percent in 2020,” adding, “the previous high was 14.8 percent, in 1890.” This was all down to border policies, which the report says was the “biggest factor.”

The surge in illegal immigration means “wage growth for Americans who did not attend college will be lower than it otherwise would have been for the next few years,” the report notes.

Trump’s plans to enact a mass deportation program upon taking office are now supported by the majority of Americans, according to various polls.

YouGov conducted one such poll on behalf of CBS News, which surveyed 2,232 adults and found that 45 per cent of respondents said that Trump’s effort to “deport immigrants who are in the U.S. illegally” should be a “high priority.” Another 28 percent said that it should be “medium priority.” Meanwhile, just 27 percent said it should not be a priority.

With Biden still in office, Democrats are now demanding he get as many illegal immigrants into the country as possible before Trump takes office. Sens. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV), Ben Ray Luján (D-NM), and Alex Padilla (D-CA) demanded Biden ward large groups of illegal aliens with immigration benefits before he leaves office.

In a letter to Biden, the senators wrote:

“In addition to supporting strong border security, we are eager to ensure that DACA recipients, TPS holders, and other immigrants who are critical members of our communities and economies are not forgotten during this busy time.”

“What I take is what I hear from this incoming administration, they’re going to engage in mass deportation and nobody is safe,” Cortez Masto told MSNBC this week.

“That’s why I’m asking the administration to come in now to protect some of the immigrant communities — TPS recipients, DACA recipients.”

Outgoing Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell claimed that the “America First” slogan has similar similar to those used in the 1930s before World War Two.

McConnell told The Financial Times “We’re in a very, very dangerous world right now, reminiscent of before World War Two,” McConnell said. “Even the slogan is the same: ‘America First.’ That was what they said in the ’30s.”

“The cost of deterrence is considerably less than the cost of war,” he continued.

“To most American voters, I think the simple answer is, ‘Let’s stay out of it.’ That was the argument made in the ’30s and that just won’t work. Thanks to Reagan, we know what does work — not just saying peace through strength, but demonstrating it.”

McConnell went on to voice disagreement with Donald Trump’s assertion that the real enemy is not Russia and China but within the United States.

However, McConnell said he voted for Donald Trump and Republicans down ballot but refused to mention the president-elect by name.

“I supported the ticket,” he said. “The election’s over and we’re moving on.”

In the past, McConnell said he was appalled by the January 6 Capitol riot and called Trump a “despicable human being.”

The 82 year old also reportedly celebrated Joe Biden winning the election in 2020 despite widespread evidence of the election fraud.

“They’ve had just enough of the misrepresentations, the outright lies almost on a daily basis, and they fired him,” he was quoted as saying.

“And for a narcissist like him, that’s been really hard to take, and so his behavior since the election has been even worse, by far, than it was before, because he has no filter now at all.”

Earlier this week, McConnell was snapped being pushed around in the wheelchair by a member of his staff after falling at the GOP luncheon on Tuesday.

The photo has promoted calls for McConnell’s resignation and term limits.

The Biden administration’s EPA is boasting of a supposed pivotal milestone in its fight against “climate change”: the criminal prosecution of an “illegal greenhouse gases” importer.

In September, the Department of Justice convicted Michael Hart, 58, of illegally importing “potent greenhouse gases” from Mexico into the United States.

According to court documents, Hart and his accomplices imported banned hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) and sold them online for profit. “Once the orders were placed, Hart purchased the refrigerants in Mexico with the help of his conspirators and illegally imported them into the United States concealed in his vehicle,” the DOJ said in a press release.

“Thereafter, Hart illegally sold the refrigerants to others in the United States, profiting from the black market for such refrigerants in the United States.”

Smuggling banned gases into the United States attracts a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.

Meanwhile, the EPA attributed the arrest, prosecution, and conviction to “revitalized enforcement and compliance efforts,” which it fears might lose momentum when Trump takes office on January 21st. However, Trump has not indicated that he will open the floodgates of illegal environmental substances into the country.

Similarly, while Biden’s EPA celebrates stopping the flow of banned greenhouse gases into the country, the case is similar to others involving smuggling illegal and harmful products. However, such convictions rarely make grand political statements that Biden’s EPA can take credit for to advance the administration’s political climate agenda.

Nonetheless, Biden’s EPA carried out other enforcement actions, including imposing $1.7 billion in penalties, the highest amount since 2017. The agency also settled 1,851 civil cases and criminally charged another 121 defendants. The EPA says Hart’s conviction is just the beginning of more to come.

“The progress made under the Biden-Harris Administration has sent a clear signal that polluters will be held accountable and that protecting communities from harm is a top priority,” said David M. Uhlmann, assistant administrator for EPA’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance.

Biden’s EPA categorizes methane produced during routine dairy and oil production alongside banned industrial HFCs and HCFCs. 

In 2022, the administration proposed incentives for dairy farmers to capture and sell methane for energy production. However, climate change activists opposed the measure, saying it could incentivize large farms to produce more methane. 

Recently, the EPA finalized a rule imposing taxes on oil and gas sector facilities for failing to control their methane emissions at the rate of $900 per cubic meter in 2024, $1,200 in 2025, and $1,500 in 2026 and beyond.

Meanwhile, the EPA says it is trying to put the American Innovation and Manufacturing Act, which targets an 85% reduction in hydrofluorocarbons by 2036, into action. However, such ambitious incentives usually carry hidden costs that American consumers pay for without realizing corresponding environmental benefits.

President Trump’s EPA chief, Rep. Lee Zeldin, has promised to rein in the agency and undo some of the damage done by draconian anti-business regulations. Rep. Zeldin says some level of deregulation is crucial for stepping up gas and oil production, lowering pump prices, and reducing the cost of living.
