Tucker Carlson, Mike Benz Expose USAID’s Hidden Censorship Machine

On a recent episode of Tucker Carlson Tonight, Mike Benz revealed how USAID’s formal disinformation program is actively working to financially cripple media platforms deemed to be spreading “misinformation.”

Benz detailed how a 2021 USAID memo referenced advertisers 31 times, highlighting a coordinated effort to cut off revenue streams for independent media outlets and social media platforms that fail to align with government-approved narratives.

“USAID has a formal disinformation program focused on getting advertisers to cut off revenue to purveyors of misinformation,” Benz stated.

“They have this formally published. In fact, my organization, Foundation for Freedom Online, even published the formal disinformation primer in February 2021, one month after Biden took office, where, in a 97-page USAID disinformation program memo, 31 times they mentioned the word ‘advertisers’ as being necessary to kill the revenue to any social media site or independent web page that spreads misinformation.”

Benz explained that this strategy forces platforms to censor content or risk financial ruin.

“USAID is contorting the economics of the entire news industry to get platforms to censor lest they go economically bankrupt,” he said.

Benz pointed out that advertiser boycotts remain a major threat to Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter), forcing the platform to rely on subscription-based revenue models.

“This is why they had to turn to subscriptions, like $8 a month, $12 a month, because of all the ad boycotts,” he said.

He contrasted Musk’s resilience to censorship pressure with Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, who in 2019 initially resisted increasing censorship but was quickly forced to comply after an advertiser boycott wiped out $60 billion in Facebook’s market cap within 48 hours.

“Zuckerberg was making public speeches saying that he thought censorship had gone too far on Facebook. That was 2019,” Benz recalled.

“But then he got hit with a very interesting boycott called #ChangeTheTerms. It was economically coercing Facebook to change its terms of service—to ban Trump supporters, Brexit supporters, and anyone in Europe supporting a right-wing populist party. Facebook lost $60 billion in market cap in 48 hours, and Zuckerberg folded like a lawn chair.”

Tucker Carlson pressed Benz for answers on who was behind the campaign:

“Who paid for #ChangeTheTerms?” Carlson asked.

Benz responded, “Oh, that’s… how many hours do you have?”

Carlson urged him to sum it up: “How about 60 seconds? Bottom line it for us.”

“I mean, nominally, it was the ADL and Color of Change under this kind of hate speech idea, but it was joined by dozens of USAID-funded and State Department-funded NGOs and civil society institutions,” Benz revealed.

“The buffering substructure for it were all these U.S. government intermediaries in country after country, pushing censorship through government-funded media and NGOs.”

Benz emphasized how U.S. foreign policy directly influences domestic policy, with censorship tools being exported globally under the guise of diplomacy.

Benz detailed how the U.S. State Department actively pressures foreign countries to pass censorship laws, targeting right-wing populist movements worldwide.

“I’m going to say that again,” Benz stated.

“We have formal government programs at the State Department whose job is to lobby foreign countries and pressure them to pass censorship laws to stop the rise of domestic populist groups.”

He highlighted how American taxpayers unknowingly fund censorship abroad:

“You have truckers in America whose income tax is going to pay foreign governments to censor their citizens,” he added. “This is the schizophrenia of America right now.”

Carlson compared the U.S. government’s censorship strategy to Cold War-era Soviet tactics:

“We’re becoming the Soviet Union, which exported poison around the world for all those years,” Carlson said.

“I really felt like the United States was the bulwark against that. But whether that’s true or not, I don’t know. I’m trying to reassess. What is true now is we’re doing what they did. We’re sowing chaos and tyranny around the world. I am so heartbroken to see this.”

Benz agreed, explaining how NATO, the U.S. State Department, and the UK Foreign Office set up an entire censorship infrastructure after the 2016 election and Brexit to suppress political movements they opposed.

“They were very aware of what they were doing,” Benz said. “They knew they were doing exactly what they accused Russia and China of doing.”

Benz detailed how tens of millions of dollars from the U.S. State Department have funded:

  • Censorship ‘mercenary firms’ in the private sector
  • Civil society institutions and activist groups
  • University censorship programs
  • Government-funded media outlets pushing for more speech restrictions

Carlson pointed out how censorship efforts extend to mainstream media as well, asking, “I assume on cable television too. They’re everywhere, on all the channels.”

“Yes,” Benz confirmed.

“DHS actually onboards media organizations into its counter-disinformation work. Media is the fourth quadrant in this whole-society framework.”

Benz explained that there is no longer a distinction between U.S. foreign policy and domestic policy.

Carlson summed up the key takeaway:

“One of the things I’ve learned from you over the past couple of years—one big picture idea I didn’t fully appreciate until I listened to you carefully—was that our foreign policy drives our domestic policy.”

Benz responded:

“There’s no such thing as domestic policy. Every country’s domestic policy is another country’s foreign policy,” he said. “Everything that happens in this country is an outgrowth, a function of our management of the world.”

He pointed to the State Department’s Global Engagement Center, the primary driver of U.S. government-funded censorship efforts worldwide.

The center, founded by Rick Stengel, has actively worked to export censorship programs while calling for restrictions on the First Amendment at home.

Carlson did not mince words in his assessment of Stengel: “This is a very evil man, Rick Stengel,” he said.

Benz elaborated on how quickly U.S. government institutions abandoned free speech principles after Trump’s election.

“All it took was one election for 200 years of a First Amendment principle to be entirely discarded,” Benz said. “Because it was leading to the wrong kinds of people being elected.”

Benz’s revelations expose how the U.S. government, through USAID and the State Department, has been actively involved in global censorship efforts under the guise of combating “misinformation.”

From coercing advertisers to defund independent media to pressuring foreign governments to implement censorship laws, the infrastructure built to control speech abroad is now being used at home.

As Carlson and Benz made clear, this is not just about controlling narratives overseas—it’s about controlling free speech in America itself.

Joe Biden’s $5 Billion “Aid” Mystery: “The Government Has Been Robbing Us Blind”

Fox News host Jesse Watters took aim at the Biden administration during a recent segment of Fox News Primetime, calling out what he described as massive waste and corruption in the handling of taxpayer funds.

Watters detailed millions of dollars being spent on questionable foreign projects, arguing that the government is misallocating resources while ignoring problems at home.

“The government’s been robbing us blind,” Watters stated.

“We’ve been writing checks—6 million for tourism in Egypt. Like Egypt needs help with that. They have the pyramids. We should be spending money on cleaning up California so that tourists can vacation in California.”

He continued to list expenditures he deemed unnecessary, including $2 million for the BBC to promote diversity coverage in Libya, $20 million for Iraqi Sesame Street, and $1 million for an LGBTQ group in Armenia.

“We’re bribing the BBC to cover Libya better,” Watters said.

“Why a million for a gay group in Armenia? There it is. We paid 20 million for Iraqi Sesame Street. You paid for Bert and Ernie in Baghdad. Weren’t we just bombing these people? Now we’re paying for their Muppet shows. We’re sick. There is something sick with us. You also paid for an Irish DEI musical.”

Watters did not hold back in his criticism of USAID, the agency responsible for administering foreign aid.

He pointed to $2 million spent on transgender surgeries in Guatemala, questioning where the money actually went.

“This is a government theft ring,” Watters said.

“We spent $2 million for trans surgeries in Guatemala. I’m going to go out on a limb—one Guatemalan dude got breast implants, and we probably kicked back the rest of the cash to a crooked Guatemalan politician and the corrupt liberal CEO of the group they laundered the money through.”

Watters went further, arguing that such extravagant spending could have “turned the whole world trans” and questioning the true cost of projects like the $20 million allocated for Iraqi Sesame Street.

“You really think it costs 20 million to produce an episode of Sesame Street? You could hire Tom Cruise to play Oscar the Grouch for that money,” he quipped.

In addition to these projects, Watters accusedJoe Biden of sending $5 billion to unnamed foreign sources, suggesting the funds were being used for political bribes and left-wing subsidies.

“Check this—Biden paid nearly $5 billion to unnamed foreign sources,” Watters said.

“Whoever is getting our money is so shady our government can’t even put it in writing. They just call it aid.”

He speculated that much of this money was used to bribe foreign officials, secure business deals for American companies, or funnel resources into left-wing foundations.

“Most of the people getting money from these grants aren’t in the country. They pump it into overseas organizations and then we never see them,” he said. “Any liberal with an International Women’s Studies degree can launch a 501(c)(3), apply for a government grant, and spin it off into a left-wing piggy bank.”

Watters also took aim at USAID’s $235 million allocation to the National Democratic Institute (NDI), suggesting that much of the money was used for executive salaries rather than democracy programs.

“USAID paid $235 million to the National Democratic Institute. Well, that sounds benign. No. Millions of that money went to executive compensation—meaning salaries for all the Liberals with no skills,” Watters explained.

“I bet most of that money didn’t go to supporting democracy. It went to supporting liberal lifestyles.”

He accused Democrats of profiting off taxpayer dollars, claiming that the USAID system has been a financial pipeline for left-wing operatives for years.

“Democrats have been sucking off the teat of government for decades, and Trump caught them,” Watters said.

“As one Trump insider says, you bring USAID to heel and you end the Democrat gravy train.”

Watters suggested that USAID was just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to government waste, arguing that deeper investigations would uncover massive misallocation of funds across multiple agencies.

“USAID is just the beginning. You start peeling back at the layers of every agency, and all you find out is pork that winds up in the wrong people’s pockets,” he said.

Liberal Math: Michigan Gov. Whitmer Proposes Spending $39 Million to Save $4 Million

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s administration unveiled her proposed budget for 2026 on Wednesday, and already lawmakers are taking issue with the wonky “Democrat math.” Sen. Aric Nesbitt, R-Lawton, who is running to replace the term-limited Whitmer in 2026, took to X on Wednesday to call out at least one line item in Whitmer’s proposed budget that doesn’t seem to add up.

“Democrat math,” Nesbitt wrote. “In her budget recommendation, Gov. Whitmer says she needs to spend $39 million of your money to save $4 million of your money.” The post included a snapshot of Whitmer’s general fund request for “$39 million for Increasing Permitting Efficiency.” The funding would go to “digitizing and indexing the department’s extensive records to create a publicly accessible database, streamlining permitting, improving transparency, and saving taxpayers $4 million annually,” according to the description.

Michigan House Speaker Matt Hall, R-Richland Twp., noted Michigan’s government has increased spending by 43% under Whitmer’s leadership, and Wednesday’s budget proposal “continues that trend.”

Medicaid Work Requirement Could Be Coming Soon to Arkansas

Republican Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders sent a letter and waiver to President Donald Trump’s nominee for Health and Human Services (HHS) secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that, if signed, would allow the state to implement a work requirement for certain Medicaid recipients.

The Full Letter

Dear Mr. Kennedy,

President Trump declared it in his inaugural address: a new American golden age has begun. But our country cannot unleash unprecedented prosperity if able-bodied, childless adults sit on the sidelines. And we won’t slash our deficit if our welfare programs pay people to stay on the sidelines.

Today, I am submitting a waiver on behalf of the State of Arkansas to allow us to implement a work requirement for all able-bodied, working-age recipients of Arkansas’ Medicaid expansion program, ARHOME. Under the prior Trump Administration, Arkansas was successfully implementing a work requirement before federal litigation halted our progress. This new waiver reduces administrative hurdles and other issues for legitimate Medicaid expansion recipients while still achieving our policy goal: to have Medicaid serve as a safety net rather than a poverty trap.

Our goal is never to take services away from those who need it but to help people stand on their own two feet so they don’t have to count on the government.

There are 220,000 able-bodied, working-age adults in Arkansas receiving free healthcare courtesy of the taxpayer, costing us more than $2.2 billion each year – and growing. Of those recipients, estimates show nearly 90,000 have no job. Most Arkansans work hard to pay for their health insurance while these healthy adults do not work at all. That is a backward, broken system.

Work is more than just a steady paycheck. It is a way to build responsibility and learn skills. It is an escape from the compounding problems – crime, fatherlessness, hunger – facing our poorest communities. It is a way to get off the path to poverty and get on the path to prosperity. And with Arkansas’ record low unemployment rate, it’s not hard to find.

President Trump has laid out a clear vision for America: one of smaller government, greater prosperity, stronger families, and better communities. All Americans can contribute to that great future, but not if they are watching from the economic sidelines. I ask that you approve this waiver when you become Secretary and let us get to work.

Respectfully,
Sarah Huckabee Sanders
Governor of Arkansas

Poll: Surprising ICE Approval Rates, Including from Latinos as Trump Steps Up Deportations

Another proof that the Left is irredeemably out of touch with reality is a recent Economist/YouGov poll, showing that most American voters, including Latinos, approve of Trump’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Democrat leaders and celebrities have been crisscrossing the country and appearing on media to castigate Trump’s ICE for deporting illegal immigrants. Some pro-immigrant activists and legacy media also shared videos of desperate illegal aliens crying while being sent home – after having no sympathy whatsoever for the victims of illegal immigrants.

Nonetheless, it seems that the majority of American voters, most of whom disapproved of open borders and rejected Kamala Harris, have a different opinion.

According to a February the Economist/YouGov poll, 53 percent of “registered voters” approved of ICE, while over a third (37%) disapproved of the agency, and a tenth had no opinion. Overall, half of all American adults approved of ICE, while 35 percent disapproved, and 15 percent had no opinion.

Looking at the numbers, it seems that only roughly about a third of Americans disapprove of ICE. Yet, Democrats want to convince us that Trump’s deportations are extremely unpopular and will cause a national crisis. But it seems that American voters know better.

Genderwise, most men (57%) approve of ICE, while only 44% of women feel the same. Based on race, Trump’s ICE still performed well despite Democrats attempting to convince us that deportations were racist. Slightly more than half (51%) of white Americans and half (50%) of Hispanics approved of ICE, while just slightly below half (49%) of Black Americans perceived ICE positively.

Based on what some Black and Hispanic politicians have been saying, I expected single-digit numbers. However, it seems that Leftist politicians do not represent the interests of the ordinary American voter. Many Blue cities’ mayors have promised to fight the deportation of illegal aliens.

Another proof that Democratic voters are still drinking the Kool-Aid, only 36 percent of Harris voters approved of ICE, while over three-quarters (76%) of Trump voters did. Most voters who were concerned about border security voted for Trump, so this particular statistic is hardly surprising.

Even fewer (31%) Americans who describe themselves as “Liberal” approved of ICE, while half (50%) of moderates and almost three-quarters (74%) of Conservatives did, respectively. Nevertheless, it seems that some Democrats are embracing common sense because more Americans (39%) who vote blue approve of ICE. However, even more Independents (42%) and most (71%) Republicans approve of the federal agency.

On income, just slightly below half (47%) of people earning less than $50,000 approved of ICE, while over half (57%) of those earning between $50k and $100k and those whose income is over $100k approved of ICE. It seems that Democrats and the legacy media are wrong again and most Americans are tired of it.

Over 1,000 Federal Employees of the Notorious EPA Receive Immediate Termination Letters

Over 1,000 Environmental and Protection Agency (EPA) employees hired under the Biden administration have received emails stating they could be fired immediately, the New York Times reports.

Some of the employees were hired to implement Biden’s Marxist climate policies and the Trump administration’s American First government may not need them. Some of them were working on projects related to the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act, of which over $369 billion was earmarked for various green energy initiatives, including curbing greenhouse emissions, offering tax credits, and promoting green energy adoption.

According to EPA spokesperson Molly Vaseliou, the incoming Trump EPA administrator former Rep. Lee Zeldin wants to restore accountability and transparency.

“Our goal is to be transparent,” Vaseliou said, adding that Zeldin “engaged directly with career staff across EPA’s headquarters — spanning two city blocks in downtown DC — listening to their insights and perspectives.”

“Ultimately, the goal is to create a more effective and efficient federal government that serves all Americans,” she added.

Zeldin had stated that his priority was to get EPA employees back to office in person. Trump recently signed an executive order requiring all federal employees to end the Biden-era work policy allowing them to work from home. The EPA was among the most notorious offenders with a mere 8% of employees showing up daily to attend to Americans from Monday to Friday.

“Operationally, it’s important to get employees back into the office and working and collaborating,” Zeldin stated. “I’ve been told that the EPA building is often at about 20% capacity on any given day. I’ll be able to confirm that firsthand once I’m in the building.”

However, EPA’s executive director Michelle Roos described Zeldin’s attempt to get federal employees to report for duty in person as a “vindictive purge of public servants.”

Similarly, Marie Owens-Powell, who represents the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), was looking at legal avenues to prevent the termination of federal employees on probation who do not want to report to the office for their duties.

“Hybrid work has been so successful that many agencies have been working to consolidate unused office space and sell off properties that are costly to maintain,” said AFGE’s president Everett Kelley. EFGE has already filed a lawsuit to prevent employees from being easily fired.

It does not seem as if the EPA is running out of office space when only 8% of its employees regularly show up for work. Most Americans who pay EPA employees’ salaries do not have the privilege of working from home.

“If you exclude security guards & maintenance personnel, the number of government workers who show up in person and do 40 hours of work a week is closer to 1%!” Musk stated. “Almost no one.”

Similarly, a House Oversight and Government Reform report found American taxpayers were spending over $7 billion in renting office space, of which 17 of 25 federal agencies utilized less than a quarter.

Elon Must-led the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), also found that only between 9% and 49% of office building capacity was being utilized. Federal employees also demanded over $400,000 after falsely claiming they resided in Washington D.C., receiving an addition 33.9% pay for allegedly residing in the capital.

Nonetheless, excusing federal employees from regularly reporting to work was not the solution, when many Americans grapple with poor service delivery.

For example, remote work always results in poor communication, distractions at home, and technological issues when accessing company resources. It also has been linked to cybersecurity problems when remote employees use personal devices to access company resources.

Stephen Miller Suggests USAID “Funneled Money to Organizations that Traffic Children”

Former Trump senior adviser Stephen Miller criticized the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) for implementing policies that undermine border security, alleging that these policies have allowed child traffickers free rein under the Biden administration.

Miller asserted that President Donald Trump now has the authority to take action against USAID’s funding decisions.

“So he has plenary authority to carry out the foreign policy of the United States. Bureaucrats at USAID cannot interfere in the affairs of foreign countries to prop up regimes, thwart America’s interests, facilitate mass illegal immigration, or promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies that violate federal civil rights law,” Miller stated.

He further argued that USAID and other agencies have helped fund organizations that advocate for open borders.

“All of this violates federal civil rights law. The President is at the apex of authority here. Moreover, as you mentioned, Congress doesn’t dictate to these agencies how to spend the money. Agencies exercise discretion when awarding grants and contracts,” Miller explained.

He added that funds currently directed toward non-governmental organizations (NGOs) supporting open borders can now be redirected to strengthen border security efforts and deportations.

“For example, these NGOs that promote open borders receive tens of billions of dollars. Congress never passed a law giving those organizations that money. President Trump can pause all those funds,” he said.

Miller also emphasized that agencies have the power not only to halt funding but also to redirect it toward initiatives that enhance border enforcement.

“Not only can the agencies pause those funds, but they can also reallocate them to organizations that support border security, deport illegal aliens, track down criminal aliens, and provide detention for dangerous illegal immigrants in this country,” he said.

Stacey Abrams-Linked “Voting Rights” Group in Chaos After Massive Ethics Violation Fine

Fair Fight Action, the voting rights organization founded by Stacey Abrams, is facing major financial difficulties following a record-breaking fine imposed by the Georgia State Ethics Commission.

The financial strain has led to mass layoffs and internal restructuring as the group struggles to sustain its operations.

The crisis has also impacted the New Georgia Project (NGP), a grassroots organization launched by Abrams. More than 30 employees were laid off in two rounds between December and January, many with little notice.

According to a GoFundMe campaign launched Wednesday, the organization cited economic challenges and reduced fundraising as key reasons for the downsizing.

The layoffs began on December 27, when 19 staff members were dismissed with less than 12 hours’ notice. Another 12 employees were let go at the end of January, according to FOX5.

Stephanie Ali, NGP’s policy director, set up a crowdfunding campaign to assist those affected, attributing the situation to external financial pressures.

“The organization has stated these reductions in force (RIFs) are due to economic downturns, reductions in fundraising in an ‘off’ election year, and other contributing factors,” Ali wrote.

“No matter the reason, with this, over 30 of some of the most dedicated organizers, door knockers, and field tacticians who dedicated years of their lives to this work are now out of work – some whose insurance will lapse as soon as February 1.”

The financial turmoil follows a ruling from the Georgia State Ethics Commission, which imposed its largest-ever fine on NGP and its affiliated New Georgia Project Action Fund.

The groups admitted to 16 violations of state law, including improperly supporting Abrams’ 2018 gubernatorial campaign and failing to disclose millions in campaign contributions and expenditures.

NGP leadership stated that the layoffs were necessary to align staffing with available resources but maintained that the organization remains committed to voter registration and outreach efforts.

In 2024, NGP reported registering more than 55,000 Georgians, knocking on over 841,000 doors, and deploying more than 200 poll monitors.

“The volunteers, members, and staff of NGP are family, and reductions in staffing are never easy.

Nevertheless, NGP must meet its obligation to align its staffing plan with available resources to accomplish its mission,” the organization said in a statement to FOX5.

NGP, which Abrams founded in 2013, has faced increasing scrutiny over its financial and legal practices.

In January, the Georgia Ethics Commission fined NGP and the New Georgia Project Action Fund $300,000 for violations of state campaign finance laws related to the 2018 elections.

According to The Associated Press, the groups failed to register as independent campaign committees and did not properly report approximately $4.2 million in contributions and $3.2 million in expenditures.

These funds primarily supported Abrams’ gubernatorial campaign, marking one of the largest campaign finance penalties in Georgia history.

Investigators found that NGP engaged in electioneering activities such as canvassing and phone banking in support of Abrams without proper registration and transparency.

Additionally, in 2019, NGP failed to disclose $646,000 in contributions and $174,000 in expenditures related to a public transit referendum in Gwinnett County. Both Abrams and U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA), who previously served as chairman of NGP, have denied any involvement in the violations.

However, the fallout from the investigation and financial penalties has left the organization struggling to maintain operations amid mounting legal and ethical concerns.

Ilhan Omar Suffers Wild Meltdown Over “Dictator” Trump for Cutting Government Agency

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) had a meltdown on Monday, accusing President Donald Trump of being a “dictator” for cutting bloated government agencies and saving taxpayer money.

Omar argued that reducing unnecessary government spending was somehow the first step toward “dictatorship.”

“It is really, really a sad day in America,” Omar said. “We are witnessing a constitutional crisis. We talked about Trump wanting to be a dictator on day one, and here we are. This is what the beginning of dictatorship looks like.”

Omar claimed that government agencies like USAID are essential to America’s “soft power” abroad.

“What Trump, Elon, and all of their cronies are trying to do is take away the constitutional power of Congress,” she raged. “We get to decide where money is allocated.”

However, USAID and other government programs have faced criticism over their lack of oversight.

Omar also suggested that layoffs don’t actually save money since workers might still receive pay while at home.

“Do you want people at home getting a paycheck and not providing services to you?” she asked. “The answer is no.

Deep State in PANIC as Elon Musk Gains Access to Treasury Department’s Critical Payment System

Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is already sending shockwaves through the political establishment after gaining access to the Treasury Department’s critical payment system, which processes approximately $5 trillion in annual government disbursements.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent authorized DOGE’s access following the abrupt departure of longtime Treasury official David Lebryk, who had repeatedly blocked Musk’s attempts to gain control. Lebryk announced his retirement after being placed on administrative leave, marking a significant shift in Treasury operations.

The payment system handles essential government functions, including payments for Social Security and Medicare. Industry experts are now warning that any disruption could trigger widespread economic instability.

However, Musk defended the move on his social media platform, X.

The Tesla CEO revealed that his team had discovered “payment approval officers at Treasury were instructed to always approve payments, even to fraudulent or terrorist groups.”

Musk claimed these officers “literally never denied a payment in their entire career.”

In a farewell letter to Treasury employees, Lebryk emphasized the critical nature of their work:

“The Fiscal Service performs some of the most vital functions in government. Our work may be unknown to most of the public, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t exceptionally important.”

Treasury official Mark Mazur reinforced the system’s traditionally apolitical nature, stating, “This is a mechanical job—they pay Social Security benefits, they pay vendors, whatever.”

“It’s not one where there’s a role for nonmechanical things, at least from the career standpoint. Your whole job is to pay the bills as they’re due,” he added.

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR), the ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, warned that “officials associated with Musk may have intended to access these payment systems to illegally withhold payments to any number of programs.”

Wyden later questioned whether granting Musk access was appropriate.

Over the weekend, two senior officials at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) were placed on administrative leave after refusing DOGE access to their systems. Musk later took to social media, calling USAID “evil” and “a viper’s nest of radical-left Marxists who hate America.”
