Judge Appointed by Biden Strikes Down Citizenship Checks in Voting Safeguard Blow [WATCH]

A federal judge appointed by former President Joe Biden has ruled against a Trump administration effort to strengthen voter eligibility verification using federal citizenship records, as reported by Townhall.

U.S. District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan issued a decision blocking an election integrity initiative that would have allowed citizenship verification through data maintained by the Social Security Administration.

The policy was being pursued by the Department of Homeland Security as part of a broader effort to update election security procedures.

The initiative centered on expanding the use of the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements, commonly known as the SAVE system.

Under the proposal, election officials would have access to a searchable citizenship verification database linked to Social Security records, allowing them to confirm citizenship status when evaluating voter eligibility.

Supporters of the measure argued that the system would provide election administrators with an additional tool to verify that only eligible citizens are registered to vote.

The proposal was part of a wider election integrity agenda pursued by the Trump administration.

Sooknanan, however, concluded that the policy violated privacy protections for American citizens.

In her ruling, the judge wrote, “All in all, the federal government has knowingly trampled on the privacy rights of American citizens in a manner that threatens the sacred right to vote. This Court cannot stand idly by while that happens.”

The decision immediately drew criticism from administration officials and supporters of the election integrity proposal.

White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller responded to the ruling on social media, writing, “Judge Sparkle decrees that America belongs to any random alien on planet earth, just like our founders intended.”

The ruling marks the latest high-profile case involving Sooknanan and the Trump administration’s immigration and election policies.

Sooknanan was born in Trinidad and Tobago and later became a federal judge after being nominated by then-President Joe Biden.

Biden announced her nomination in February 2024, and the Senate confirmed her later that year by a 50-48 vote.

The judge previously ruled against a Trump administration immigration policy in September 2025 involving the removal of Guatemalan illegal immigrants.

That decision, along with the latest ruling on voter verification procedures, has drawn attention from critics who argue that federal courts have increasingly become involved in disputes over immigration enforcement and election administration.

The SAVE system has long been used by government agencies to verify immigration and citizenship status for various public benefits and programs.

The Trump administration’s proposal would have expanded its application to election-related verification efforts through coordination with Social Security records.

The court’s decision leaves the future of the initiative uncertain and could lead to further legal challenges as administration officials evaluate potential next steps.

The ruling also adds another chapter to the ongoing debate over election security, voter eligibility verification, and privacy protections.

While supporters of the administration’s proposal contend that citizenship verification is a necessary safeguard for election integrity, opponents have argued that expanded access to federal databases raises privacy concerns.

For now, the federal court’s ruling prevents implementation of the citizenship verification plan, setting up another legal and political battle over election administration as the debate over voter eligibility requirements continues nationwide.

Vance Says Iran’s Billions Still Frozen Unless Progress Seen, Eyes Way to Help American Farmers [WATCH]

Vice President JD Vance made it clear Monday that despite whispers of a thaw in U.S. relations with Iran, the regime will not have free access to its frozen assets unless the White House sees tangible progress.

Vance confirmed that discussions are ongoing about allowing some of those funds to be directed toward the purchase of American soybeans, potentially through an oversight process involving Qatar.

When reporters pressed him on whether Iran had already secured an agreement to buy soybeans, Vance did not mince words.

“Yeah, that was something that came up yesterday,” he said.

“We actually asked the Qataris to help us set up the mechanism so that we could ensure that the money goes where we want it to go. And they agreed to do that.”

Vance described the arrangement as one that would benefit both nations, though he made clear that the priority remains ensuring the funds are controlled.

“We have a good relationship, obviously, with them and a good operational oversight mechanism in place,” he explained.

“But even with that said, even with the caveat that it’s going to benefit American farmers and obviously benefit the people of Iran, we want both. But fundamentally, that money is not going to be unfrozen unless we continue to see progress. And that will obviously be a big part of the negotiation in the days to come.”

WATCH:

The remarks came in the wake of a Memorandum of Understanding recently released between the United States and Iran.

The document, confirmed by the White House after being shared with reporters, outlines a tentative framework for cooperation touching on sanctions, Iran’s nuclear ambitions, and ongoing negotiations meant to prevent Tehran from escalating its regional aggression.

According to the memorandum, the U.S. agreed that it would “make fully available for use” Iran’s frozen or restricted funds after the implementation of the agreement.

It also clarified that both countries would decide together how to release those funds, which could then be used for transactions “to any ultimate beneficiary” designated by the Central Bank of Iran.

That clause, while couched in diplomacy, raised eyebrows across Washington.

Critics on Capitol Hill are wary that any “good faith” commitments by Iran could quickly unravel once the money starts to flow.

For decades, American administrations have learned the hard way that Tehran is far better at making promises than keeping them.

Still, Vance seemed eager to highlight the administration’s intent to use economic leverage creatively.

The possibility that Iran might spend part of its unfrozen assets on American soybeans could be marketed as a small win for U.S. farmers.

Yet many conservatives see the dynamic differently, arguing that selling products to a regime known for funding terror networks is hardly a victory for the United States.

The Biden administration’s history with Iran has left conservatives deeply skeptical that any safeguards or “oversight mechanisms” will actually restrain the regime.

From the Obama-era Iran Deal to the secretive transfers of cash pallets to Tehran, Americans have seen what happens when Democratic administrations try to bargain with mullahs.

The results have rarely favored the interests of the United States or its allies.

For Vance, the balancing act is delicate.

The administration is trying to boast about its “accountability measures” while simultaneously negotiating with one of the most deceptive governments in the world.

As he pointed out, progress is still the determining factor, meaning Tehran will have to show compliance before any dollar becomes available.

Yet the definition of “progress” often changes depending on which side sits behind the Resolute Desk.

Among farmers, there may be some cautious optimism. Soybean producers who have faced trade headwinds over the last several years could see exports rise if a deal ever materializes.

The catch, of course, is that the same funds would be coming from accounts frozen because of Iran’s own misconduct.

It hardly feels like wholesome economic development when the buyer is a regime with a long record of proxy wars and regional destabilization.

The inclusion of Qatar as a sort of financial middleman reflects ongoing Gulf diplomacy that has played both sides of the fence.

Doha maintains a working relationship with Tehran, which often puts it at odds with Washington’s supposed hardline posture.

However, Vance’s remarks seem to suggest that the administration views the Qatari channel as a way to maintain supervision without direct exposure.

Even so, conservative lawmakers will likely demand transparency as negotiations proceed.

Congress will want to know precisely how any transaction is tracked, who authorizes each payment, and what guarantees exist to prevent Iran from diverting funds toward its Revolutionary Guard or militant affiliates.

These are not minor details but national security imperatives.

Vance’s approach reflects growing pressure within the administration to show results from months of foreign diplomacy.

Whether those results amount to meaningful security gains for the American people or just another international handshake remains to be seen.

If recent history is any guide, Iran knows how to milk the carrot and dodge the stick every single time.

Elon Musk Fires Back After Democrat Ro Khanna Threatens Investigation Over USAID Cuts [WATCH]

Democrats just cannot resist turning every wealthy American who refuses to bow to their big government agenda into a villain.

This week it is Representative Ro Khanna of California who decided to wage a personal crusade against Elon Musk.

The tech billionaire has long been a favorite punching bag for progressives, but now Khanna is taking the obsession to a whole new level.

Khanna recently claimed that if the government confiscated five percent of Musk’s wealth, it could fund universal childcare or pay off student loans.

That is the typical leftist fantasy that government should pick winners and losers while ignoring basic economics.

If Washington ever seized the fortunes of innovators like Musk, the money would vanish into an endless bureaucracy and never reach the people they claim to help.

Musk was not about to let that slide.

Calling Khanna an “evil liar,” he reminded everyone that the congressman himself is a multimillionaire.

Musk’s response hit a nerve because it exposed the truth that Khanna and his colleagues love to virtue signal with other people’s money while hoarding their own.

Then Khanna pushed things into absurd territory by suggesting that Musk should be subpoenaed and investigated for allegedly “sentencing millions of children to death” because of cuts to the United States Agency for International Development.

According to Khanna, Musk’s supposed involvement in reorganizing or limiting USAID through the Department of Government Efficiency amounted to a humanitarian crime.

This is the sort of delusional rhetoric that defines today’s Democratic Party.

Khanna told his followers, “Once we take power, there has to be accountability. There needs to be accountability for Elon Musk.”

He went on to claim that while Musk created 4,400 millionaires, he simultaneously condemned 4.5 million children by dismantling USAID programs.

He said Musk “needs to be subpoenaed” and “face investigation” for his role.

For good measure, Khanna also promised investigations into actions taken by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and American military strikes against cartels and hostile foreign regimes.

WATCH:

It was an unhinged manifesto framed as a plan for “accountability.”

What Khanna really revealed was the left’s obsession with punishing anyone who disrupts their government-first worldview.

He accused Musk of obstructing the global aid machine, but offered no facts beyond wild speculation.

It is another example of Democrat theatrics designed to intimidate rather than inform.

Ironically, while Khanna paints himself as a champion of the poor, his own wealth and elite connections tell a different story.

Conservatives rightly view this attack as outrageous.

The truth is that USAID has long operated with questionable motives overseas.

Senator Marco Rubio publicly noted that in some cases, the agency worked at cross purposes with American embassies and even interfered in political affairs of foreign nations.

Rubio said this behavior undermined both our national interest and the credibility of the United States abroad.

If there is anything in the aid bureaucracy that deserves investigation, it is that kind of mismanagement, not Musk’s efforts to save taxpayer money.

Musk, unlike most of Washington, actually builds things, creates jobs, and drives innovation.

He has powered hundreds of thousands of new careers through companies like SpaceX and Tesla.

Democrats who despise success simply cannot stand that a private citizen accomplishes more for humanity than their endless committees and spending bills ever will.

The deeper issue here is that Khanna and his allies see private enterprise as a threat to their control.

They do not celebrate independence; they demand submission to government authority. From student loans to global aid, their solution is always the same: take from the productive to fund more bureaucracy.

What frightens them about Musk is not his wealth but his refusal to play along.

Now reports suggest that Musk could be preparing legal steps of his own as Khanna’s threats grow louder.

While details remain private, sources close to Musk indicate he will not allow politically motivated attacks to smear his record or his companies.

If that happens, Khanna might learn the hard way that using government power to harass political enemies has consequences.

Republican lawmakers are already rallying behind Musk, pointing out the absurdity of calling cost-cutting at USAID a crime.

They argue that trimming waste at overseas agencies aligns with efforts to protect taxpayers and focus on America’s real priorities.

This reaction has only further enraged Democrats who view every attempt to reduce spending as sabotage.

The battle over USAID highlights the fundamental divide between conservatives and progressives.

One side believes in efficient, accountable government and the freedom of individuals to innovate.

The other side sees the state as an all-powerful moral authority entitled to punish dissenters.

Ro Khanna’s tirade is simply the latest example of what happens when ideology replaces reason.

Elon Musk has made clear he is not intimidated. Whether it is space travel, electric cars, or reforming bloated agencies, he continues to move ahead while his critics rage on social media.

The rest of America is watching, and the contrast could not be sharper.

One man is building the future, and the other is making threats in the name of politics.

Letitia James Praises Trump DNI Nominee Jay Clayton, Raising Eyebrows [WATCH]

New York Attorney General Letitia James has publicly expressed support for Jay Clayton, President Donald Trump’s nominee for Director of National Intelligence, during a recent MSNBC interview.

During the interview, James criticized Acting Director of National Intelligence Bill Pulte and argued that the Senate should back Clayton’s nomination.

She described Clayton as a professional who understands the law and said he had earned her respect, as reported by the Gateway Pundit.

The remarks quickly drew attention because of James’ long-standing legal and political battles with Trump.

The New York attorney general campaigned on investigating Trump and later pursued civil fraud cases against him, making her one of the president’s most prominent political opponents.

Because of that history, her support for a Trump administration nominee has generated discussion among many of the president’s supporters.

The endorsement comes amid ongoing scrutiny surrounding James herself.

Investigative reports published by Joel Gilbert in The Gateway Pundit alleged that James engaged in a pattern of mortgage and real estate fraud spanning decades.

Gilbert reported that James listed her father as her husband on a loan document in connection with a property purchase.

Gilbert also alleged that James made false representations regarding the number of units in a Brooklyn apartment building she owned.

According to the reports, the property was variously represented as containing one, four, or five units in mortgage and property records over a period of roughly two decades.

Gilbert argued that those representations were used to secure refinancing terms, lines of credit, and government benefits.

According to the article, the reporting contributed to referrals involving James to the Department of Justice and ultimately resulted in mortgage-fraud-related charges in the Eastern District of Virginia concerning a property in Virginia.

The focus of the article then shifted to Clayton and the significance of his nomination.

Many Trump supporters have argued that federal intelligence and law enforcement agencies require substantial reform, increased transparency, and greater accountability.

The article highlighted the tenure of former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, crediting her with a series of initiatives that included declassification efforts, investigations into government activities, reductions within the intelligence bureaucracy, and the revocation of security clearances for dozens of officials.

Because of those efforts, supporters of the administration are closely examining potential successors to determine whether they would continue similar reforms or pursue a different approach.

Clayton brings a lengthy background in law, finance, and government service. He spent nearly two decades as a partner at Sullivan & Cromwell, where he represented major financial institutions, investment firms, and public corporations.

He later served as chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from 2017 to 2020 before returning to private practice. Clayton also served as U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York.

The article argued that Clayton’s background places him firmly within established legal and regulatory institutions, prompting questions among some Trump supporters about how he would approach the role of Director of National Intelligence.

Among the questions raised were why James chose to publicly support Clayton, what qualities prompted her endorsement, and whether she views him as someone who would preserve existing institutional structures rather than pursue significant reforms.

As Director of National Intelligence, Clayton would oversee agencies responsible for intelligence collection, classification decisions, national security assessments, and the distribution of intelligence information to policymakers.

The article concluded that Clayton’s confirmation process may require him to explain both his plans for the intelligence community and the reasons one of Trump’s most outspoken political opponents publicly endorsed his nomination.

According to the article, supporters of the president are expected to closely examine whether Clayton intends to continue reforms associated with the Trump administration and Gabbard’s tenure or take a different approach.

House GOP Threatens Contempt Against ActBlue in Explosive Foreign Donation Scandal

House Republicans are done playing nice with ActBlue.

After more than a year of stonewalling, selective document dumps, and questionable privilege claims, the Democrat fundraising giant now faces a contempt threat that could expose how deep its alleged foreign donation scandal truly goes.

Three powerful committee chairs, Jim Jordan of the Judiciary Committee, Bryan Steil of the House Administration Committee, and James Comer of the Oversight Committee, have put ActBlue on notice: comply by June 26 or be held in contempt of Congress.

The move follows months of refusal by ActBlue to provide documents requested under subpoena as part of an ongoing investigation into illegal foreign contributions and alleged retaliation against internal whistleblowers.

In a sharply worded letter to ActBlue CEO Regina Wallace Jones, the Republican leaders accused the organization of obstructing a legitimate congressional investigation into its “fundamentally unserious approach to fraud prevention.”

They say ActBlue has hidden behind bogus legal privilege claims while the evidence points toward major misconduct involving foreign cash finding its way into America’s election machinery.

The controversy began after multiple whistleblowers inside ActBlue raised red flags about incoming donations that they believed originated from foreign sources.

These alerts were allegedly ignored or covered up by executives who did not want to derail the party’s main fundraising engine.

Soon afterward, internal legal and compliance officials resigned or were pushed out, fueling suspicions of a deeper scandal.

When Congress issued subpoenas in July of last year demanding communications and documents tied to these whistleblowers and resignations, ActBlue initially promised cooperation.

That promise evaporated as the committee pressed for internal correspondence, and the group began claiming everything was privileged.

By October, ActBlue declared that it had already turned over all “non privileged” material, an assertion Republicans now describe as laughable.

Then came the bombshell report from the New York Times in April revealing documents that had never been given to Congress.

Those documents included the resignation letter from former Interim General Counsel Aaron Ting and a message from former Legal Counsel Zain Ahmad, who said he faced retaliation after reporting internal misconduct.

Somehow the Times obtained these files, but congressional investigators were denied access.

Republicans were furious. A public statement from the House Judiciary GOP spelled it out bluntly: “Add it all up, and the story is simple. ActBlue accepted illegal foreign donations, misrepresented its fraud prevention practices to Congress, and withheld documents responsive to the Committees’ subpoenas. All three of those are federal crimes.”

In April the committees renewed demands for full compliance.

When ActBlue finally produced a privilege log in June, it listed 422 withheld documents, covering everything from the Ting resignation letter to internal chat messages.

The committees immediately challenged the privilege assertion, saying there is no legal basis for ActBlue to claim secrecy over routine internal correspondence, particularly those that were never written by attorneys.

Their latest June 18 letter calls out the company’s sweeping claims as implausible.

The committees noted that ActBlue’s excuses look more like an effort to shield damaging information than a genuine legal defense.

They emphasized that the withheld documents are “essential” to efforts to strengthen election integrity and prevent foreign interference.

ActBlue’s CEO did little to reassure anyone when she appeared before the House Administration Committee earlier this month. Regina Wallace Jones invoked her Fifth Amendment right more than twenty times, refusing to answer straightforward questions about foreign donations or her communication with Congress.

WATCH:

Her silence likely did not help her case, and it gave Republicans more ammunition to move toward contempt.

Among the key pieces of evidence are the Ting resignation letter and Ahmad’s internal message.

Ting’s letter reportedly outlined serious concerns about ActBlue’s past handling of foreign political donations and its inaccurate statements to Congress.

Ahmad wrote that he faced retaliation after bringing those same issues to leadership.

Legal experts note that such internal communications do not qualify as attorney client material and that ActBlue’s privilege arguments are weak at best.

The broader privilege claim is equally suspect.

Republicans point out that courts have long held that the mere presence of legal staff on a document chain does not make the entire chain privileged.

If ActBlue used its lawyers to bury damaging information, that strategy could now backfire under congressional scrutiny.

For years, ActBlue has served as the financial lifeline for the Democratic Party.

It processes millions in small dollar donations from liberal donors who proudly claim to be “grassroots.”

But this scandal has ripped apart that pristine image.

WATCH:

If foreign money infiltrated its system, Democrats could face one of the most significant campaign finance crises in modern political history.

Now all eyes are on the looming June 26 deadline.

If ActBlue fails to comply, the committees are ready to move swiftly toward contempt proceedings, setting up a historic showdown between Congress and the Democrats’ most powerful fundraising engine.

Republicans say it is about transparency and protecting American elections. ActBlue’s continued silence only reinforces their point.

Gunman Ambushes Police in Montreal: Officer and Civilian Dead in Jewish Neighborhood Attack [WATCH]

A horrifying attack in Montreal has left one police officer and a bystander dead after a gunman opened fire in a heavily Jewish neighborhood.

Authorities are calling the ambush one of the city’s most shocking acts of violence in decades, rattling residents and renewing questions about public safety and policing in urban centers.

The violence erupted in the Côte des Neiges neighborhood, a diverse section of Montreal that includes a large Jewish community and several prominent Jewish institutions.

Witnesses said the shooter appeared out of nowhere, armed with what looked like a semi-automatic rifle, and began firing before officers could react.

Local police quickly issued a shelter in place order around 12:30 in the afternoon after the suspect was spotted near a grocery store.

Videos from witnesses captured chaotic moments as officers exchanged gunfire with the rifle-wielding attacker dressed in camouflage.

A mountain of gunfire followed.

Some witnesses said they heard as many as 30 rounds erupting through the busy street.

In the footage, one officer could be seen collapsing to the pavement, apparently struck by the attacker’s bullets, as panicked bystanders scrambled for cover.

WATCH:

“It’s a tragedy. It’s a nightmare,” said Montreal police Chief Fady Dagher, his voice heavy as he briefed reporters after the shooting.

The department later confirmed that one of the two responding officers had been killed in the attack, while a second officer was injured but is expected to recover.

“It is with immense sadness that we confirm the death of one of our police officers in the line of duty,” the police department said in an official statement.

They did not immediately release the officer’s name pending notification of family members.

The female officer who was wounded is now in stable condition, according to Chief Dagher.

WATCH:

He also made clear that earlier rumors about a possible second suspect were false.

The gunman acted alone and was fatally shot by police during the confrontation.

The tragic loss marks the first time in 24 years that a Montreal officer has died in the line of duty.

The last instance occurred in 2002 when Officer Benoit L’Ecuyer was killed during a traffic stop.

The new attack has reopened painful memories for the city’s law enforcement community and added to growing concern over rising violent incidents in Canada’s once relatively calm urban hubs.

The neighborhood where the ambush occurred is home to numerous kosher establishments, Chabad centers, Jewish schools, and other community institutions.

For those on the ground, the day was chaos. “We heard gunshots and people were screaming,” said one witness identified only as Samuel.

“It looked like something you would see in a movie, not in our quiet neighborhood.”

WATCH:

Residents described sirens blaring and heavily armed tactical units moving through the area as police cleared nearby streets.

Authorities asked anyone in the vicinity to remain inside their homes until the shooter was confirmed dead.

Quebec Premier Christine Fréchette condemned the attack, calling it “a heinous act that has no place in our society.”

She praised the fallen officer as a hero who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect others.

“Such acts have no place here,” she said, as provincial and national leaders offered their condolences.

WATCH:

Across Canada, many law enforcement leaders say they are seeing a disturbing trend of increased aggression toward police officers.

While the country prides itself on lower crime rates than the United States, recent years have seen more brazen acts of violence, often caught on camera and shared widely online.

Montreal residents gathered near the scene later in the day to lay flowers and pay respect to the slain officer.

Many expressed frustration that such violence could erupt in broad daylight in an area known for its tight-knit community and low crime record.

Authorities have not yet released any details about the shooter’s identity, background, or possible motives.

Investigators are combing through evidence and surveillance footage to piece together the timeline of events leading up to the deadly encounter.

The police department pledged transparency as the investigation proceeds.

For now, Montreal is in mourning, struggling to understand how a quiet weekday afternoon turned into a deadly shootout that will not soon be forgotten.

Report: Tragic Twist in Nancy Guthrie Case as Ransom Note Claims Her Death Was ‘Accidental’ [WATCH]

A newly reported ransom message connected to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie allegedly included an apology for her death and marked a significant turning point in the investigation into the missing Arizona woman, as reported by the New York Post.

According to a report from Air Mail, one of several messages sent to Guthrie’s family and media outlets after her disappearance claimed that the 84-year-old had died accidentally after being abducted from her Tucson home.

Guthrie, the mother of NBC “Today” host Savannah Guthrie, has been missing since Feb. 1.

Kidnapping Alert Near Missing Mom Nancy Guthrie’s Arizona Home as Career Criminal Wanted

Investigators believe she was kidnapped from her residence, and authorities have spent months pursuing leads while reviewing numerous communications claiming knowledge of her whereabouts.

The report states that a Feb. 6 email sent to TMZ originated from the same IP address as previous ransom and blackmail messages that investigators considered potentially credible.

Sources familiar with the case told Air Mail that earlier communications contained detailed information about the night Guthrie disappeared, including descriptions of what she was wearing when she was allegedly taken from her home.

One message sent on Feb. 2 reportedly demanded $4 million in bitcoin and described Guthrie as “safe but scared.”

The note also outlined terms for a potential exchange, leading investigators to believe the communication may have come from individuals with direct knowledge of the case rather than internet hoaxers.

However, according to the report, a second message sent four days later took a dramatically different tone.

Sources told the outlet that the Feb. 6 communication opened with a lengthy apology that claimed Guthrie had died accidentally.

The message allegedly went on to suggest that her body could be returned to the family in exchange for payment, though it did not specify a dollar amount.

The communication reportedly caused investigators to shift their focus from a kidnapping investigation toward a potential homicide case.

The report also indicates the message prompted a public response from Guthrie’s family.

The day after the note was received, Savannah Guthrie and her siblings posted a brief video message on Instagram.

In the video, they stated they had “received your message, and we understand.”

Savannah Guthrie later issued a direct plea to the person responsible for her mother’s disappearance.

She asked that the individual “return our mother to us,” adding that her return is “very valuable to us” and that “we will pay.”

Since Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, investigators have reportedly received a large number of messages claiming to contain information about the case.

According to sources cited by Air Mail, authorities categorized the communications into three groups described as “the good, the bad, and the ugly.”

Messages containing information not publicly known about Guthrie were reportedly classified as “good,” while the communication discussing her alleged death was labeled “bad.”

Savannah Guthrie previously acknowledged during a “Today” interview that many of the messages received by her family were likely fraudulent.

Despite that assessment, she indicated that two specific communications appeared more credible than the others.

“I believe the two notes that we received that we responded to, I tend to believe those are real,” she said.

More than four months after Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, investigators continue to pursue leads and examine evidence connected to the case.

Authorities have not announced any arrests, and no significant new breakthroughs have been publicly disclosed as the search and investigation remain ongoing.

Joy Reid Sneers at Independence Day, Calls July 4th a Celebration of Slaveholders [WATCH]

Joy Reid is back in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. The former MSNBC host, best known for her constant race-focused rants, recently declared that the Fourth of July is nothing more than a celebration of “slaveholders” who wanted to avoid taxes, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

With America’s 250th birthday just around the corner, Reid’s disdain for the nation that gave her the freedom to complain on television seems as loud as ever.

Speaking with fellow MSNBC castoff Alex Wagner, Reid launched into another anti-American lecture, claiming Independence Day is not a unifying holiday because of the Founding Fathers’ flaws.

According to Reid, “nobody black I know is really excited about the Fourth of July.” She went on to describe it as a commemoration of “slaveholders who freed themselves from having to pay taxes to the Crown for their slave empire.”

Her comments spread quickly across social media, and it didn’t take long for proud Americans of every background to push back.

One X user who identified as black slammed Reid’s statement, writing, “I’m black. And I’m thrilled to celebrate our 250th anniversary on the Fourth of July!”

She added that only miserable, anti-white activists like Reid and her circle could possibly see America’s birthday through such a bitter lens.

Reid tried to couch her rant in half-hearted humor, claiming she still enjoys barbecues on the day off. “We will barbecue because we’re off,” she said, almost sneering at the idea of celebrating the nation’s freedom.

But her real message was clear: Independence Day, in her eyes, is not something black Americans should feel proud of.

The irony of Reid’s outrage is impossible to miss. Born in Brooklyn to immigrant parents from Congo and Guyana, she has benefited from the very freedoms and opportunities that the United States uniquely offers.

Yet she never misses a chance to ridicule its founding ideals while pretending to speak on behalf of an entire race. The arrogance would be breathtaking if it were not so predictable.

Reid’s hostility toward patriotic tradition fits neatly into the modern left’s war on American history.

For years, she has used her platform to smear conservatives and divide Americans by color and class, repeating the tired narrative that the country is irredeemably racist.

For people like Reid, unity is a threat because it breaks the victimhood narrative that keeps radical pundits relevant.

Of course, the facts contradict her rhetoric. Millions of black Americans proudly fly the Stars and Stripes every Independence Day.

They gather at parades, light fireworks, and grill out with friends and family, not as slaves to some colonial legacy but as proud citizens of the greatest experiment in freedom the world has ever seen.

From Crispus Attucks in the Revolution to the Buffalo Soldiers to modern-day servicemen and women, black Americans have fought and sacrificed to defend this country since its inception.

Even the historical figures Reid invokes expose the weakness of her argument. Frederick Douglass himself, after earlier condemning slavery, later praised the Constitution as a “glorious liberty document.”

He recognized what Reid refuses to: that America’s founding principles contain the moral seed that ultimately destroyed slavery, expanded civil rights, and continues to protect liberty for all.

The Constitution and Declaration of Independence, far from being symbols of oppression, provided the framework for abolition, civil rights, and justice.

The true story of America is one of progress sparked by those documents, not in spite of them. That truth seems to bother modern progressives more than anything.

MSNBC and its alumni like Reid thrive on outrage, and their audience wants to be angry rather than informed. Instead of celebrating how far this nation has come, they dig for bitterness in every corner of history.

To them, patriotism is a scandal, and pride in the flag is somehow suspect. America-hating commentary may play well in newsroom echo chambers, but out in real communities, across all races, people are busy planning cookouts and fireworks, not pity parties.

Reid’s constant ungratefulness reveals why so many Americans have tuned out mainstream media lecturing. Ordinary citizens know that love of country is not defined by politicians or pundits.

They live it every day through hard work, service, faith, and family. And on the Fourth of July, they celebrate the blessings of liberty that allow even someone as privileged as Joy Reid to say whatever outrageous thing she pleases.

That freedom, despite her attempts to smear it, is exactly what Independence Day represents.

Drunk Airline Passenger Attacks Police Officer Mid-Flight as Passengers Watch in Horror

A Ryanair passenger was taken into custody after allegedly punching a police officer during an arrest following an international flight from the United Kingdom to Spain, according to witness accounts and video from the incident, as reported by The New York Post.

The disturbance reportedly occurred on June 16 aboard a Ryanair flight traveling from Edinburgh, Scotland, to Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

Passenger Ritchie Denholm, who recorded part of the confrontation, told Jam Press that the incident began before the aircraft even departed.

According to Denholm, a couple involved in the altercation appeared heavily intoxicated before boarding the flight.

“They were very drunk before leaving Edinburgh, lover’s tiff, and it all started,” the Edinburgh resident said.

Denholm said an argument between the pair escalated during the flight and eventually required intervention from multiple members of the cabin crew. Staff members were reportedly able to calm the situation temporarily.

However, according to the witness, tensions flared again when the couple realized authorities would be waiting for them after the aircraft landed in Spain.

Video captured aboard the plane shows officers walking down the aisle toward the disruptive passengers after landing.

As officers attempted to remove one of the passengers from the aircraft, the situation quickly escalated.

According to reports, one of the officers grabbed the passenger while attempting to escort him off the plane. The passenger then allegedly struck the officer in the face.

The footage shows officers moving to restrain the individual as a struggle unfolded in the aisle. Authorities eventually gained control of the suspect and completed the arrest.

No information regarding potential charges or injuries was immediately released.

The confrontation unfolded in full view of other travelers on board and reportedly caused concern among passengers who witnessed the incident.

Denholm said many people aboard the aircraft were left shaken by what they saw.

The witness also argued that airlines should do more to prevent heavily intoxicated passengers from boarding aircraft in the first place.

“No one should put anyone at risk on a flight considering things that have happened on flights in the past,” Denholm said.

“There should be more security on flights to stop anyone intoxicated getting on.”

The incident is the latest in a series of alcohol-related disruptions reported aboard commercial flights.

Airlines across Europe and elsewhere have faced recurring problems involving unruly passengers, particularly on routes associated with vacation destinations.

Industry groups and airlines have repeatedly called for stricter enforcement and stronger penalties for disruptive behavior on aircraft.

A similar incident involving a Ryanair flight occurred in February when a passenger allegedly refused to stop using a cellphone while the aircraft was taxiing for departure.

According to reports, the passenger continued speaking on the phone despite instructions from crew members. The situation delayed the flight for approximately two hours.

The captain ultimately elected to return the aircraft to the gate, where authorities boarded the plane and removed the passenger.

The June 16 incident remains under review by authorities as officials continue examining the events that led to the confrontation aboard the Edinburgh-to-Palma de Mallorca flight.

Tragedy Deepens as Three More Instructors Arrested in Fatal Bungee Jump Horror in Brazil

Brazilian authorities have arrested six people in connection with the death of a 21-year-old student who died during a bungee jumping event after allegedly being sent from a bridge without being connected to a safety cord, as reported by The New York Post.

Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas died on June 13 after an incident at an abandoned bridge in Brazil known locally as the “Skeleton Bridge.”

Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the event, which was captured on video and later circulated on social media.

According to reports, three additional suspects were recently arrested, bringing the total number of arrests in the case to six.

The latest arrests include a 29-year-old woman from Rio de Janeiro, a 25-year-old man from Limeira, and a 27-year-old man from Indaiatuba.

CNN Brazil reported that investigators believe the three individuals were involved in planning and carrying out the jump. Authorities have not publicly clarified the exact dates of the latest arrests.

Earlier, on June 14, authorities arrested Luis Felipe Feliciano Egoroff, 32, Vitor de Freitas Goncalves, 27, and Maicon Fernandes Cintra, 42. The three were charged with homicide with eventual intent.

Local courts have also authorized search warrants for the homes of all six suspects as investigators continue gathering evidence.

Video of the incident reportedly shows Rodrigues de Freitas being carried by staff members before the jump. A witness recording the event can be heard shouting, “Guys, the rope!” while pointing toward a cord that remained on the bridge.

The bridge where the incident occurred is scheduled to be demolished in an effort to prevent similar tragedies in the future, according to authorities.

Investigators are also attempting to locate a GoPro camera that Rodrigues de Freitas reportedly paid extra to wear during the jump.

Witnesses have alleged that an employee removed the camera after the incident, raising concerns that potential evidence may have been lost or destroyed.

“I remember … seeing one of the employees taking the [camera] handle off the neck, from the body that was already on the floor, the GoPro camera,” witness Rafael Goulard told Brazilian television station EPTV.

Brazilian police said the camera remains a key piece of evidence in reconstructing what happened.

“The Civil Police are continuing their investigations to fully clarify the dynamics of the events, identify all criminal responsibilities, and locate the camera used by the victim at the time of the jump, considered an important element for reconstructing what happened,” Brazil’s Public Security Secretariat said in a statement.

Investigators have also questioned the three instructors initially arrested in the case. According to reports, Egoroff, Goncalves, and Cintra told authorities they could not remember who was responsible for attaching the safety cord.

“Either it’s me or [Cintra] who does it. So I went ahead first, and after that it’s all erased from my mind… I don’t remember,” Egoroff told EPTV.

Authorities said the three men attempted to flee following the incident and were later located with assistance from a military helicopter.

The investigation has also drawn attention to a video recorded years earlier involving some of the instructors.

Reports indicate that Egoroff and others filmed a video in September 2022 titled “Hiding the body,” which showed a black bag being thrown from the same bridge.

Authorities have not indicated whether anyone involved in that video had a role in the June 13 incident beyond those already identified in the investigation.

Police said the investigation remains active as officials continue collecting evidence and determining the criminal responsibility of those involved.
