Merriam Webster Gets Offended by Definition of Woman

Most of us remember our parents telling us to take down the Merriam-Webster dictionary from the shelf when we wanted to know what a word meant. That sturdy hardback was the authoritative source on word usage.

The Merriam-Webster company wants to maintain that status in the digital age, but it’s eaten its own seed corn. Just like Anheuser Busch lost billions in market value when Bud Light teamed up with drag queen (oh, we’re sorry, “trans woman”) Dylan Mulvaney, a nellie gay man pretending to be a girl, Merriam-Webster has torched the very thing that made it credible: truth.

They’re still branding themselves as authoritative:

Let’s see how they define “female”:

Got it. Being female is only usually about being the female sex (do you see the circular definition problem?). Also, it can just mean having a “gender identity” that’s “opposite” to male. Translation: “Females are males who say they’re girls.”

Right. With that sorted, let’s see what Merriam Webster has been up to on social media lately.

On Twitter/X, the dictionary asked a question inside its wheelhouse:

OK. But then something strange happened.

That means MW locked down the post so that no one could reply to the question it was asking.

Then something even stranger happened.

Gee-what gives?

That’s right. This is the world you live in in year 2024. The “authoritative” dictionary shut down all discussion and retracted its question when sane, normal people told it that the word “woman” means what it means.

Why? If you’re not familiar with the full extent of the woke left derangement, this is now new normal. Companies of all kinds have been infiltrated by mostly young female leftists who see themselves first as activists. They will destroy companies, destroy reputations, and destroy the meaning of words simply to signal to the leftist world how very good and kind and inclusive they are.

And much mirth was had on this Twitter thread!

This one probably triggered whatever intern named KaiteLynne staffs the MW Twitter account.

Looks like Merriam Webster got BIG MAD at some users.

Got a new definition for an old word you’d like to submit to the dictionary? Tell us in the comments!

CNN Host Melts Down at Rep. Cory Mills Over Security Failures at Trump Rally

It may be cliché to point to CNN as the premiere example of a failed news organization, but there isn’t a better example of what happens to media when the emotions and political proclivities of its staff override journalistic integrity.

And there isn’t a better recent example than this exchange between CNN anchor Kate Bolduan and Republican House Rep. Cory Mills of Florida. Mills was brought on to discuss how the Secret Service handled security at Donald Trump’s July 13 rally at Butler, Pennsylvania. We can all see the result—20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks shot at the president, nearly putting a bullet in his brain while the crowd screamed in panic.

We’re now seeing video on social media with people claiming to have seen Crooks maneuvering to get on top of a nearby roof with a clear line of sight, begging police to do something about it, to no avail. Well, Rep. Mills is a former Army sniper and he’s displeased with the Secret Service, to put it mildly.

During the interview he listed numerous apparent failures, most obviously the fact that Crooks was able to get on top of the building roof with no one stopping him, and no agents stationed on that roof. Mills called it an “obvious” spot for a shooter to go for. He said he was left scratching his head about the Service’s decision-making process.

“I’m having a very difficult time not leaning myself toward . . .this was intentional as opposed to fecklessness.”

That’s when CNN anchor Bolduan began to lose it. Visibly agitated, she interrupted Mills and said with obvious emotion in her voice that he was “leaning toward” being a conspiracy theorist:

She interrupts him repeatedly like a scolding schoolteacher, clearly trying to get him to stop speculating about even the possibility that some of the security failures might have been intentional. Despite Mills trying to explain to her that he is pointing out why an investigation is necessary, Bolduan is clearly upset and alarmed that she cannot force him to stop speaking.

“Is it not dangerous? Is it not reckless to even be throwing around the word intentional?” she said, repeatedly moving her hand toward him in a “shush” gesture. You can see her clenching her jaw and sighing while squirming in her chair. “Mommy” was clearly upset. At one point, she even said, “I’m so uncomfortable right now.”

Are you feeling confident in your ability as an American to hear the news and information you need?

Twitter/X users were, in the main, not impressed with Bolduan.

Several users obviously wanted to hear more from the expert, Rep. Mills, and less from what some called the “blonde woman on CNN.”

It brings to mind the line from Don Henley’s famous song “Dirty Laundry”: “Bubble-headed bleach blonde comes on at five.”

How you rate CNN on this one? Tell us in the comments.

Black Lives Matter Chapter Slammed For Distasteful Posts In Wake Of Donald Trump Assassination Attempt

The Black Lives Matter chapter of Hartford, CT, has been slammed after a flurry of distasteful posts following the attempted assassination of former president Donald Trump.

For millions across the country, the shooting in Butler, PA, saw political divisions withdrawn as Republicans and Democrats rallied around the injured Trump. Miraculously, Trump survived relatively unscathed, while one attendee was tragically killed during the heinous attack, and others were wounded.

Meanwhile, the Black Lives Matter movement was as vicious as ever, deciding to publicly support violence, which is on brand for them.

Posting on their X account, the Hartford BLM chapter account posted shocking messages within minutes of the attempt on the former president’s life, with its initial reaction being an offer to pay the (now-deceased) shooter’s bond.

Hours later, the BLM account described the attack as a “flesh wound on a coke head,” adding that it was “extremely underwhelming” that the GOP nominee had survived.

The BLM chapter also suggested that Thomas Matthew Crooks, the would-be assassination who was slain by a counter sniper from Secret Service, had bought the rifle from Temu – a Chinese-owned site with a reputation from low-quality products.

On Sunday, July 14, the account continued to spout bile with a picture of a key chain featuring former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe and John F. Kennedy – both victims of assassination attempts – as well as Trump.

Since the weekend’s events, the account has continued to share conspiracy theories over the assassination while repeatedly criticizing Trump for allegedly playing golf – a claim which has been proven false.

When shared to a wider audience by @libsoftitkok, many condemned the account and the actions of BLM.

Others declared BLM to be a terrorist organization.

Pro-Life Groups Designated “Terrorist Organizations” In Fort Liberty Presentation

Pro-life organizations have reportedly been categorized alongside terror groups in an anti-terrorism briefing at Fort Liberty in North Carolina.

The presentation featured a slide focused on ISIS – the Middle East terror organization which has long sought to install a caliphate across Syria and Iraq, and then the rest of the world.

Following that slide, attendees were informed of “terrorist groups” largely centered on anti-abortion and pro-life organizations including Operation Rescue and National Right to Life.

Such groups may engage in “terrorist” activities including demonstrations and protest, life chains, and picketing. In addition, a potential enemy of the state may have a personalized number plate such as “IM4IT” while also objecting to Roe v Wade.

When X user @samosaur shared the presentation online, he noted that pro-life activists had been labeled “terrorist” organizations rather than the lesser “extremist”.

Social media commenters were critical of the Department of Defense for classifying pro-life groups as terrorist organizations.

Others were less than impressed with the presentation’s apparent lack of attention to detail.

One user who said he was an antiterrorism officer within the Army assured social media users that this was an isolated incident. Arguing a pro-life stance, Sean Lulofs said he was “seeing pushback” against the Department of Defense’s move to the left.

It is not the first time under Joe Biden’s administration that Fort Liberty has come under heavy scrutiny. The military installation was previously called Fort Bragg after Confederate General Braxton Bragg. However, since March 2022, nine U.S. Army installations have faced renaming due to their connection to Confederate figures.

Idaho Town Bans Crosses in Parade, Residents Disobey

Cast your mind back to the turn of the 21st century and you may remember the rise of a group called the “new atheists.” Led by evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins, this was an ad-hoc group of scientists, philosophers, and regular people who thought religion had crept too far into government. They seemed particularly concerned with the then-current effort to get so-called “intelligent design” (creationism) into school science classes, but their real goal was the complete irradiation of religion from society.

The war is likely to be rekindled in the courts with Louisiana recently passing a law requiring the 10 Commandments to be displayed in classrooms. Meanwhile, Oklahoma’s state schools superintendent has ordered public schools to teach the Bible.

Over the years, the hostility to religion in public life has gone much farther than even Dawkins might have wanted (as evidenced by recent comments from him praising “cultural Christianity” – and citing Christianity as a bulwark against Islam).

Exhibit A: Coeur D’Alene Idaho, of all places, banned crosses from its 2024 Independence Day Parade. No, we can’t figure out how the city government believed it had the power to overturn citizens’ First Amendment rights this way. Nor can we figure out why the government believed people would obey such an egregious diktat.

Happily, people did not obey. This video shows that for all its trouble, Coeur D’Alene city officials had to watch a parade chock full of Christian symbolism.

It was so epic even some of the non-religious approved of it.

A number of Christians have noted that America isn’t just neutral on faith anymore, it’s actively hostile to Christianity.

There’s always one leftist who goes hyperbolic over anything that’s not their personal favorite:

Tired of woke? Remember that if you say no loudly enough, the bullies cave.

Socialist Desperation Prevents Historic Majority For National Rally In French Parliamentary Elections

France’s snap election produced a shock result on Sunday, July 7, as the right-wing National Rally came third despite winning the popular vote by more than three million.

The country’s unique electoral system sees two rounds of voting over two consecutive weekends. Seats which are not won outright in the first round are subject to a run-off in the second between the highest polling candidates in each constituency.

In a desperate attempt to prevent a National Rally majority, socialists and centrist parties colluded to reduce the number of anti-right-wing candidates thus avoiding a split in the vote.

As a result, Marine Le Pen’s National Rally (and allies) only won 143 seats out of 577 (24.7%) despite winning 37% of the overall vote. In comparison, the socialist New Popular Front will take 182 seats (31.5%) having only achieved 25.8% of the vote, while Emmanuel Macron’s Ensemble coalition won 168 seats (29.1%) with a similar vote share.

With no political grouping taking an outright majority and coalitions looking unlikely given the vast ideological differences, one of the world’s most powerful nations is now in chaos.

France’s election has been fraught with anger, with left-wing extremists protesting at the possibility of a “far-right” group taking control of the country’s parliament just weeks after the European elections.

American commenters on X drew comparisons with the electoral system in the United States, where Democrats have ramped up efforts to prevent a second Donald Trump presidency.

Others highlighted similarities with the United Kingdom, where the left-wing Labour Party amassed 33.8% of the vote yet controls 63.2% of parliamentary seats after the General Election just two days earlier.

Left-wing parties now dominate national affairs in Western Europe, while the lack of correlation between popular vote and seats won is already raising questions over the effectiveness of democracy in the continent.

Liberal Claims Only Black Lives Matter Supporters Have The Right To Tan

Every summer, millions of Americans like to catch some UV rays to bronze up a little bit.

Some choose to sit on a beach and bask in the hot summer sun in a quest for tanned skin. Others choose to visit the tanning salon for a session on the sunbed or a spray in the booth.

There are many reasons why we like to tan. In fact, it’s scientifically proven to make you feel better! This is due to the release of endorphins – the same chemical which is released during exercise – when your body is exposed to UV rays.

As with everything according to left-wing extremists though, sun tanning has now been politicized. And in the “everything is racist” era, you know exactly how this one is going to go.

A liberal vlogger under the account name @allegra.leggie.legs on TikTok said white people must not tan if they are not a supporter of the left-wing Black Lives Matter group or an “ally” as she put it.

“If you’re a white person and you can’t wait to get super tanned, and you can’t say “Black Lives Matter”, she said, “and you’re not an ally, and you can’t stand for your black/brown/indigenous/people of color friends and family, then do everyone a favor – tanning is not for you!”

Yes, you read that right. If you can’t pledge your support for a neo-Marxist organization, then I’m afraid the tanning bed isn’t for you.

Fortunately, common sense prevailed when the video was shared on X by the @libsoftitkok account.

Furthermore, others noted that the nation’s presumptive presidential candidates would also be affected by the new anti-racist tanning proclamation.

Apparently You’re Racist If You Celebrate Independence Day

It’s official: Independence Day is now racist (according to the crazies).

That’s the view of one TikTok creator whose astonishing claim proves that some people just never want us to enjoy anything, ever.

For many, the 4th of July represents a day to celebrate liberty and freedom. On this day in 1776, the Founding Fathers ratified the Declaration of Independence to signify legal separation for the thirteen colonies from Great Britain and its then-monarch King George III.

One TikTok poster, however, sees it differently, arguing that Independence Day has “never included all Americans” as Black people were still enslaved at the time of the declaration:

Instead of celebrating with family, the creator encouraged people who want to live an “anti-racist” lifestyle should give money to Black people.

“Ask yourself: where am I benefitting from the labor of Black people, and what am I giving to them in return?” she said in the clip. “Whether its free labor, unpaid labor like social media, or whether its inequitable paid labor.”

“Usually if it’s for social media, you know we give you specific directions on what to do after you consume our content, so do that today,” she continued.

When the TikTok was shared on X by the account @libsoftiktok, many were critical of the poster’s victimization.

Others believed her views were racist.

Despite the creator’s pleas, many are set to celebrate in the traditional fashion instead.

How will you be celebrating this Independence Day? Be sure to let us know in the comments and, above anything, enjoy it!

Oh, the Humanity! WaPo Columnist Jen Rubin’s Crackpot History

Oh, Jennifer.

Jennifer Rubin, the Washington Post columnist, has managed the neat trick that a faction of politicians have. Despite spilling almost all of her ink on how terrible-horrible-no-good-very-bad Donald Trump is, she’s still referred to as a “conservative.” Of course, it’s perfectly possible to be a conservative who doesn’t like Donald Trump. But when one appears to make a full-time job out of it, it’s fair to ask which side of the bread the butter is really on.

Rubin really put her foot in it on Twitter/X recently, but let’s start with her branding and presentation.

“Dissenting” seems to be a trend among American women this past decade. They’re dissenting in pussy hats against “patriarchy,” they dissent while beatifying the late Supreme Court justice Ruth Ginsberg, they put on Dutch maid costumes and dissent against abortion laws, as depicted here in a scene from the Texas statehouse this week.

This week, Jennifer is dissenting about the Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity by lifting the histrionic line from Justice Sotomayor’s minority opinion.

Again, Rubin presents herself as a conservative for reasons unknown, but she’s plumping for the Biden-Harris ticket.

Ah, “our democracy.” The 2024 mating cry of middle-aged female leftists.

In one blast from the past, she got completely destroyed during an appearance on The O’Reilly Factor when she was pressed for evidence of her arguments by O’Reilly, leading to her flipping through pages of notes only to realize she had nothing of substance.

But this contribution on the Biden age issue takes the cake, where she attempts to make a Nazi analogy (how original) that backfired instantly due to people actually understanding history.

One almost feels bad for her (almost). Rubin is trying to mock those voting for Trump by making an analogy to the 1932 elections in Germany. But she has it backward—Germans voted for Hindenburg, not for Hitler, in 1932. She got “Community-noted” on Twitter—that’s when a number of people correct a misstatement. The correction appears along with the original tweet.

The fun is in the reactions.

You just knew someone would do this.

User KH wonders if Jennifer has had a tipple.

Children’s Television: Unsafe At Any Age

Things we never dreamed could even be imagined as satire are now part of “normal” in 21st century Western culture. We are to affirm that we believe men can be women. We are supposed to see the chemical and physical mutilation of children as “care.”

These are the most extreme expressions of our out-of-control narcissistic culture, but how did we get here? Slowly, drip by drip, so slowly that we barely noticed it as each step was taken.

Many of us remember watching Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood when they were new shows in the 70s. The brands became synonymous with the concept of wholesome, child-focused entertainment. And then came woke. Sesame Street introduced its first “non-binary” character (so-called “non-binary” people claim they are neither men nor women) and got glowing coverage for its efforts to confuse children.

Children’s show Blues Clues jumped on the woke train too, introducing the highly sexual ideas of “LGBTQ” to toddlers with a cartoon drag queen urging the kids to go march in parades.

It is no surprise, then, that children’s channel Nickelodeon is no longer safe for under 18s to watch – watch below to see it for yourself.

It’s now normal for a grossly obese man to put on Disney villainess makeup and croon to preschoolers about having “pride” about what “you are on the inside.” It shouldn’t be normal, but it is. And it’s no good saying, “Hey, I don’t think it’s normal!” Enough of society believes that blatant sexualized grooming of children on trusted children’s television is normal that that’s what we have every day.

Thankfully, a number of X/Twitter users don’t think it’s OK.

Paul asks a good question about the children’s network that has long been tainted by scandal.

Juanita shouldn’t have to say this, but thank goodness she did.

Adam reminds us that the worst thing that used to happen to kids on Nickelodeon was a bucket of green slime over the head on game shows.

Redwave Press thinks it’s about time Nickelodeon got the same comeuppance that Disney (another child grooming outlet) is starting to experience.

May Leisha’s prediction come true sooner rather than later.
