Newly declassified White House records have pulled back the curtain on another jaw dropping chapter from the Russia saga, and once again the facts do not flatter the permanent bureaucracy that spent years treating President Donald Trump like the enemy.

The FBI opened a secret criminal investigation into Trump just days after he fired former Director James Comey in 2017, according to records released by the White House Government Transparency Task Force.

The bureau was not merely asking routine questions, it was exploring whether the sitting president of the United States might have been acting as an agent of Russia.

The case was given the codename “Oxferd Comma” and was formally opened on May 16, 2017, just one week after Comey was removed.

For Americans who remember the media frenzy that followed, the newly released paperwork reads less like sober law enforcement and more like the machinery of Washington panic kicking into gear.

“The FBI is opening a full investigation based on an articulable factual basis that reasonably indicates that President Donald J. Trump may be or has been, wittingly or unwittingly, involved in activities for or on behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation which may constitute violations of federal criminal law or threats to the national security of the United States,” the document states.

That language is extraordinary on its face.

The FBI was not investigating some obscure campaign aide in a back office, it was investigating the president himself under a theory that sounded ripped from the fever dreams of cable news panels.

“The goal of the investigation is to determine if President Trump is or was directed by, controlled by, and/or coordinated activities with, the Russian Federation in a manner constituting a threat to the national security of the United States and/or a violation of federal criminal statutes,” it added.

“In addition, this investigation will also seek to determine whether President Trump and others yet to be named obstructed and/or conspiracy to obstruct any associated FBI investigation.”

The memo was prepared inside the FBI counterintelligence division and approved by former General Counsel James Baker and former Assistant Director for Counterintelligence William Priestap.

In plain English, this was not some stray idea scribbled on a napkin by a junior agent.

Investigators cited Trump’s public comments about Comey’s firing as part of the justification for opening the case.

“This alternative explanation can be reasonably read to imply that the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation was a factor in President Trump’s decision to terminate Comey,” the memo states.

That is the kind of reasoning that should make every American pause, especially those who still believe federal power should answer to elected authority and not the other way around.

A president fired an FBI director, which presidents have constitutional authority to do, and the bureau responded by probing whether he was secretly serving Moscow.

The records also show former Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein were told the investigation had been opened.

The FBI labeled the matter a “sensitive investigative matter” and described it as “the least intrusive method” available, which is a rather polished phrase for an investigation that helped engulf a presidency.

Rosenstein appointed Special Counsel Robert Mueller shortly afterward, unleashing a probe that hovered over the early Trump White House for nearly two years.

After all the leaks, breathless headlines, and liberal wish casting, Mueller did not establish a criminal conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Years later, Special Counsel John Durham concluded that the FBI lacked sufficient grounds to open the original Crossfire Hurricane investigation into alleged Trump Russia collusion.

That finding landed with far less media hysteria than the original accusations, naturally, because corrections never get the same prime placement when Trump is the target.

The newly released records show that Oxferd Comma was closed on April 9, 2019, shortly after Mueller completed his work.

“The Special Counsel provided the Attorney General with a confidential report explaining his prosecution and declination decisions,” the closing memo states.

The declassification arrives as federal prosecutors in Fort Pierce, Florida, are reportedly examining whether officials at the FBI, Department of Justice, and intelligence agencies participated in a broader effort to violate the civil rights of Trump and his supporters through investigations allegedly lacking evidence.

If that probe moves forward, Washington may have to answer questions it has dodged for years.

The documents also reveal that investigators explored whether Trump could have been acting as an asset of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

That premise had already drawn doubt from within the FBI itself, including from former Deputy Assistant Director Pete Strzok.

“I hesitate in part because of my gut sense and concern there’s no big there there,” Strzok wrote to FBI special counsel Lisa Page on May 19, 2017.

That one line may end up being the most revealing sentence in the entire saga.

Even inside the bureau, there was concern that the whole thing lacked substance, yet the machine rolled on anyway, leaving Trump and millions of his voters to wonder just how far powerful agencies were willing to go.

Sen. John Fetterman is once again saying the quiet part out loud, and this time his target is the growing socialist and communist wing inside his own Democrat Party.

The Pennsylvania Democrat sounded the alarm after a slate of far left candidates scored major wins in Michigan primaries, giving the party another reminder that its activist base is not drifting left so much as sprinting there with a red flag in hand.

In Michigan’s 13th Congressional District, Democratic Socialists of America backed Donavan McKinney narrowly defeated incumbent Rep. Shri Thanedar.

Progressive Abdul El Sayed won the Democrat nomination for U.S. Senate, while progressive William Lawrence also claimed victory in the seventh District.

That kind of primary result is exactly what has conservatives warning that Democrats are no longer merely flirting with socialism.

They are handing it the microphone, the donor list, and apparently the campaign stage.

Speaking with Fox News Digital, Fetterman did not hide his concern about where the party is heading.

He singled out socialist streamer Hasan Piker, a loud online figure who has become popular among the Democrat left and influential among younger activists.

“I would never try to elevate … a communist just because [Piker] has followers on some, on Twitch, whatever that is. But overall, if you identify with a communist who praises Mao and Cuba and for these places, that should be foreign to any Democrat. Without a doubt, that’s having an impact,” Fetterman told Fox News Digital on the sidelines of the Israel on Campus Coalition conference Tuesday.

That is not exactly complicated.

If a political party is taking cues from people who praise Mao Zedong and excuse communist regimes, it has a problem bigger than messaging.

Piker has become a favorite voice among socialists in Democrat politics.

He has backed socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and campaigned alongside Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El Sayed as progressive candidates chase his massive online following.

The irony is rich, of course. The party that claims to defend democracy keeps finding room for figures who swoon over regimes that crush dissent, silence opposition, and leave ordinary citizens poorer and less free.

Fetterman made his remarks after addressing the Israel on Campus Coalition National Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C.

He described the direction of the Democrat Party as “troubling” and pointed to Tuesday’s primary results as another sign that the progressive flank is gaining serious influence.

That influence is showing up most clearly in the party’s increasingly hostile posture toward Israel.

Fetterman noted that activists “have turned Israel as to the ultimate litmus” and warned that major Democrats are now saying things they know are not true.

He specifically called out California Gov. Gavin Newsom, saying, “When you have Gov. Newsom describing Israel as an apartheid state. He knows better, that that’s not true.”

That is a sharp rebuke from a Democrat senator against a governor widely viewed as a future presidential hopeful.

Fetterman also said Democrats should not “pander to the fringe.”

In a sane political world, that would be obvious, but the modern Democrat Party appears to need a reminder every primary season.

This is not the first time Fetterman has ripped into the party’s radical figures.

During a CNN interview, he warned, “And a lot of the things that he has done and said during the primary were going to come back to haunt, like campaigning with a guy that loves Hamas and is very proud to stand with communist regimes.”

Democrats can pretend these are just energetic young progressives, but voters can see the banners, hear the rhetoric, and recognize the hostility toward America’s allies.

The general election will be the real test.

Socialist candidates can survive in deep blue primaries where activists dominate, but facing Republican voters and independents is a very different ballgame.

For conservatives, the spectacle is both alarming and politically revealing.

The Democrat establishment spent years insisting that socialism was just a Republican scare word, only to watch its own candidates campaign with communist sympathizers and anti Israel agitators.

Fetterman deserves credit for refusing to play along with the usual party script.

When even a Democrat senator is warning that communists and Hamas apologists are gaining influence, the country should pay attention.

The question now is whether Democrat leaders will take his warning seriously or keep pretending the fringe is just another harmless coalition partner.

Based on recent primary results, the radicals are not waiting for permission.

Michigan’s Senate race has gone from routine partisan brawl to a glaring test of how far Democrats are willing to march toward the radical edge.

Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers is making clear that voters now face a choice between sanity and the sort of left-wing agenda that usually hides behind campus slogans.

Rogers unloaded on Democrat Abdul El Sayed after El Sayed won his Michigan primary, warning that the state is being handed another dose of ideological madness.

In his view, this is not just another election about party labels or campaign ads.

Rogers described the contrast as “common sense or complete insanity,” a line that neatly captures what many Michigan voters have watched unfold under Democrat leadership.

After more than twenty years of Democrat control and influence, he argued, the state has been dragged backward while working families foot the bill.

“They’ve dropped our schools to 45th in the nation. They’ve saddled families with the highest utility rates in the Midwest. Working people are paying more, earning less, and getting left behind,” Rogers wrote.

That is the backdrop Democrats are apparently proud to run on, because their voters just elevated El Sayed over establishment Democrat Haley Stevens.

If the party wanted to reassure normal Michiganders, nominating a socialist backed by the loudest radicals in national politics was certainly an odd strategy.

Rogers did not bother pretending El Sayed is some mild mannered progressive with a few quirky ideas.

“Abdul isn’t just another liberal. He’s an extremist,” he warned, putting a bright spotlight on the record Democrats would rather decorate with soft focus campaign language.

The Republican accused El Sayed of backing policies that would make communities less safe and life more expensive.

“He wants to empty prisons and put murderers and sex offenders back on our streets,” Rogers said, while also accusing him of aligning with the Muslim Brotherhood and supporting a historic tax hike on families already stretched thin.

Rogers also said El Sayed is not offering a serious plan for Michigan’s future. “Abdul doesn’t represent a vision for the future. He’s leading a movement grounded in ideological fanaticism,” he said.

The national security angle is especially personal for Rogers, who spent years in intelligence work.

“I spent years hunting terrorists and bringing Osama bin Laden to justice. Never in a million years did I think that I would be running against someone who believes America deserved 9/11.”

That charge centers on El Sayed’s embrace of support from Hasan Piker, a left wing online personality who said, “America deserved 9/11.”

Rather than simply condemn the remark like any normal candidate seeking statewide office might do, El Sayed claimed Piker’s comments needed to be viewed in “context.”

Context is apparently the magic word Democrats use when the radical fringe says something vile and the candidate still wants the endorsement.

Michigan voters may not be as eager as the online socialist crowd to play that game.

Rogers framed the race as bigger than one Senate seat.

He warned that Michigan must decide whether it wants a future rooted in common sense or whether it will hand power to some of the most extreme voices in American politics.

El Sayed’s win also exposes a major crack inside the Democrat Party.

Socialists such as Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez of New York lined up behind him, while many backers of Stevens appear less than thrilled about the party’s sharp left turn.

Recent polling cited in the original report found that only 57 percent of Stevens supporters said they would back El Sayed in November.

That is a serious warning sign for Democrats, even if their activist base prefers chanting about revolution to doing basic political math.

Rogers previously told Breitbart News that El Sayed’s rise reflects a wider fight inside the Democrat Party.

“They believe that they can move the state and the country, by the way, to be more accepting of this socialism,” Rogers said.

Michigan voters are now staring at a clear choice.

They can choose Rogers and a message centered on public safety, affordability, and national security, or they can gamble on a socialist movement that seems determined to prove every conservative warning correct.

Former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino and Australian broadcaster Erin Molan discussed what they described as a growing alliance between elements of the political left and Islamist extremists, arguing that both movements ultimately pursue power rather than individual liberty despite holding conflicting views on many social issues.

During the conversation, Bongino said he is frequently asked how progressive activist groups, including members of the LGBTQ community, can support or align with governments and organizations that openly oppose their rights.

He said he believes the answer was best explained by conservative author David Horowitz.

“I talk about this unholy alliance all the time. Big hat tip to David Horowitz. He wrote a book about it,” Bongino said.

He explained that many people struggle to understand what he sees as an unlikely political partnership.

“How I get this question? You probably get it yourself. Like I don’t get it. How is it that the LGBTQIA2+ whatever they keep adding on? How is it that they align with the Iranian regime, the Islamo-fanatics, and the Islamo-Nazis out there, like they would throw them off the roof.”

According to Bongino, Horowitz argued that both movements share a common objective.

“And Horowitz explains very simply: they both have one goal, which is tyranny and power. And to get that tyranny or power, they have to get something out of the way. And that something is you, people who believe in anti-tyranny and believe in individual liberty.”

Bongino said he believes the alliance is driven by a pursuit of political power rather than shared values.

“They-that’s the only reason this is all about power. But it’s very dangerous.”

Molan agreed, pointing to examples she believes demonstrate the contradiction between progressive activism and support for Islamist causes.

“Oh, it’s-it’s super dangerous,” she said.

She referenced New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani’s campaign appearances in LGBTQ venues, saying she believes the policies he supports conflict with the interests of many of those voters.

“And even you know when Mamdani was campaigning in gay strip clubs, and I’m watching, going, what he wants to introduce would not tolerate you for a nanosecond.”

Molan also discussed violent incidents in Europe, arguing that some activists continue calling for unity despite attacks they attribute to Islamist extremists.

“It’s the same as what we’re seeing in Berlin, and we’re seeing an Islamist terrorist driving a car into a parade, and then you’re seeing the organizers of the LGBTQ, etc. etc. etc. coming out and saying, ‘Now don’t let this divide us, and don’t let this make you hate them.'”

She questioned what it would take for supporters of those causes to reconsider the alliances they have formed.

“Well, sorry, but if that is not enough to to wake them up, what is?”

Molan also referenced demonstrations supporting Gaza, arguing that many participants overlook the treatment of LGBTQ individuals by the governments they support.

“Because I kept thinking, watching this, you know, gays for Gaza, and and just the greatest fools on planet Earth running cover for a regime that hangs them from cranes.”

She said she believes those alliances are ultimately self-destructive.

“It will take something disastrous for them to wake up and realize that the movement they’re aligning themselves with doesn’t want them.”

According to Molan, both movements are united primarily by their pursuit of political power.

“They actually don’t care. They don’t care if it ends in their own destruction. They will do anything for power. They have the same shared goal.”

She added that, in her view, those alliances would eventually collapse once one faction no longer needed the other.

“They just don’t realize that once this mob is done with the other mob, the mutual mob they hate, this mob is going to kill them too.”

Bongino agreed, saying he believes Islamist extremist organizations have never concealed their intentions.

“You know, obviously you’re correct. That’s why I enjoy your content so much,” Bongino said.

“It’s not like the Islamo fanatics are in any way cryptic about what they’re going to do to the infidels. I mean, they they openly advertise it all the time.”

He then argued that political movements focused solely on power inevitably begin targeting members of their own coalition.

“This idea that when your only end game is is power and not the advancement of individual liberty, the idea of a representative democracy and any of that, eventually you have to turn on people who you perceive to be in your own tent.”

As an example, Bongino pointed to the cancellation of individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic, saying that criticism eventually extended beyond conservatives.

“What started to happen is even any leftist that spoke out and did not, you know, toe the company line was canceled too because they all have to cling to their power. They’re not interested in truth; they’re interested in power.”

Bongino predicted that the groups he discussed would ultimately discover their interests are incompatible.

“I think you’re right. That’s what’s going to wind up happening. Is if they do win, the LGBTQ plus and DEI folks are going to find out the hard way that their bedfellows are not fellows at all?”

Molan concluded by citing Dearborn, Michigan, and Iran as additional examples, arguing that the alliance she described cannot endure because the underlying ideologies are fundamentally incompatible.

“It won’t be. They cannot coexist. It doesn’t work,” she said.

“It is self-destruction. We are the architects of our own demise.”

She argued that the issue extends beyond political rhetoric because she believes people are embracing the ideas being promoted.

“It’s just dumb. It’s so dumb, but it’s dangerous, and that’s the issue. And that’s why voices like ours are needed, because the issue is that we can’t just say let’s put them in a box and laugh at them. People actually buy into it, and they start to believe it. And we’ve seen what can actually happen when they get too much power.”

Wheeler opened the discussion by asking, “Explain to me what you mean when you say that these are indications that President Trump is resetting the world order and the implication of that.”

Beck responded by arguing that Trump’s policies are interconnected and aimed at restructuring both the American economy and the international system.

“Donald Trump is changing the new world order entirely, and it won’t be fully understood for probably another five to 10 years,” Beck said.

He pointed to the administration’s efforts to encourage domestic investment and manufacturing, saying those initiatives are central to Trump’s long-term economic vision.

“That, on top of the, he says it’s over $20 trillion of investment. Let’s just say it’s 10 trillion, $10 trillion in building new factories here at home. So we are making things again with AI, with the rebuilding of factories, with the dominance of energy and oil.”

Beck also emphasized what he views as the importance of traditional energy production, arguing that oil and natural gas remain essential to the global economy.

“I’m sorry, gang, but the world doesn’t work without real energy, without gas, LP, and oil, with controlling the choke points, getting out of the Middle East.”

According to Beck, if those policies achieve their intended goals, they could have a historic impact on both the United States and the rest of the world.

“Hopefully, if this works, he’s completely redesigned the entire world. He has made a bigger impact than any other president, maybe since Lincoln. He becomes one of the most impactful presidents of all time.”

Beck acknowledged that the ultimate outcome remains uncertain.

“If it works, that jury is still out. But if it works, he changes the entire course of the world.”

He argued that Trump’s decisions have consistently reflected an “America First” philosophy and said he believes many news organizations fail to present the broader strategy behind those actions.

“Everything that he has done is 100% America first. The problem is nobody in the media will explain it.”

Instead, Beck said, individual policy decisions are often evaluated separately rather than as part of a larger plan.

“Nobody, everybody wants to look at everything he does as a one-off.”

Beck said his own perspective changed after spending time traveling with Trump during the presidential campaign.

“And you know what? If I hadn’t been traveling with him during the election, I don’t know if I would have seen it as quickly as I did.”

He rejected portrayals of Trump as lacking a coherent strategy.

“This guy has been thinking this through forever. People try to make him look like a bumbling idiot, and they don’t realize there is genius behind this. There is real strategy.”

According to Beck, Trump’s objective is not simply to improve short-term economic conditions but to address what he views as structural problems affecting the United States.

“He tried to fix America’s economy. What happened? The next guy comes in, destroys it all.”

Beck said Trump is attempting to solve broader issues involving international institutions, trade agreements and tariffs in an effort to create lasting economic change.

“He’s trying to fix it. So by fixing the bigger problems, the structural problems that start overseas with the WEF and all of our trade agreements and tariffs and everything else. By fixing those, he believes I can fix the economy long term.”

He concluded that success in those efforts would extend beyond the United States.

“If you can get there, we save the world, not just the nation. We save the world.”

Wheeler then asked why she believes many people fail to recognize the strategy Beck described.

“Why do you think that people don’t see the strategy?”

Beck replied that political opponents have become too focused on viewing Trump as the central adversary rather than evaluating policy on its merits.

“They’ve fallen into the trap. The enemy is Donald Trump. The enemy is the pedophile government. Whatever the enemy is, and if you make if you if you just say that’s the enemy, you can get all of these people who believe all these different things to stand together.”

He argued that supporters of the country should focus on rebuilding rather than dwelling on political grievances.

“And it’s imperative that for those of us who actually believe in the country, we don’t engage in the grievance. We engage instead on we hold these truths to be self-evident. This is what we need to fix and rebuild, not what we’re going to destroy. What we’re going to rebuild.”

Medicaid or Money Laundering? Personal Care ‘Jobs Program’ Exposed as Massive Fraud Machine [WATCH]

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz said the United States is facing a growing crisis involving personal care services and Medicaid fraud, pointing to federal data that he said shows unusual billing trends in Pennsylvania and other states.

Speaking during a presentation on healthcare fraud, Oz said the rapid growth in personal care services has raised concerns nationwide and prompted officials to closely examine enrollment figures and Medicaid spending.

“Now we’re facing a personal care services crisis around the country,” Oz said.

“The surge in enrollment of individuals in these in programs is stunning, so shocking. We have to double check our numbers. We don’t think it’s possible it is happening, but it is.”

Oz said the personal care industry has become one of the largest employment sectors in several states.

“In California, New York, the number one job in the entire state is personal care services,” he said.

“Guess what? It’s good to be home because it’s true in Pennsylvania too. 50% dramatic more people serving in the personal care services space-that’s home care-that is in retail. That’s where Pennsylvanians are going. It’s becoming a jobs program.”

According to Oz, the increase in spending has also been accompanied by significant Medicaid fraud that harms both taxpayers and patients.

“Medicaid fraud in the state is costing taxpayers for care that was never delivered, or even worse, harmful,” Oz said.

“It’s costing patients their health, their trust in a system-a system that was built in a high-trust environment, a place we all thought that we would be able to be safe.”

He questioned why anyone would exploit vulnerable Americans who depend on Medicaid services.

“Because who would steal from the poor?” Oz asked.

“As Colin outlined, many people unfortunately are doing just that, and we’re coming after them.”

Oz described the alleged fraud as a serious breach of trust between caregivers and patients.

“What we’re exposing today is a diabolical breach of trust, a violation of the sacred bond between patient and caregiver,” he said.

“It is a catastrophe that can only be dealt with in the way we’ll be outlining for the rest of this presentation.”

He then outlined several examples from cases announced that day, saying investigators uncovered instances in which Medicaid was billed for services that could not have been provided.

“Today’s defendants included an aide who billed Medicaid for care claimed to be delivered while they were in jail, or while they were being arrested, or while they weren’t in the country,” Oz said.

“The list goes on and on, one more disbelievable than the next.”

Oz also referenced allegations involving a home care agency.

“And it’s not just individuals. There’s a home care agency, two owners who are charged with billing Medicaid hundreds of fabricated clock-ins. Again, care that was never delivered at all, and we have evidence of that.”

He said CMS is focused on ensuring Medicaid dollars reach the intended recipients.

“CMS’s job is to make sure this money reaches the people who actually need it,” Oz said.

“That’s the grandmother who desperately needs this money to stay out of a long-term care facility. It could be a vet who relies on this to get help because he’s stuck in bed. All these individuals deserve our love and support, not the criminals who have hurt them.”

Oz then cited federal data that he said shows Pennsylvania stands out nationally in several Medicaid spending categories.

“We’ve reviewed Pennsylvania’s personal care billing trends. I’m going to give these numbers to you slowly because they’re really important,” he said.

“This is the federal government’s data on Pennsylvania.”

According to Oz, “Pennsylvania ranks fifth nationally in average monthly payments, both per beneficiary and per provider. That is way out there. Be number five in both those categories. More expensive that is in 45 states.”

He also pointed to the state’s billing descriptions.

“Over 96% of personal care claims here are illness unspecified. That’s how they’re titled. So we can’t track them. It doesn’t help if the U.S. attorney or the attorney general can’t possibly find the fraud because people aren’t actually telling us what they’re really doing.”

Oz said the reporting system must change to improve oversight.

“We have to change that that that history that’s evolved here into the norm.”

He added that Pennsylvania’s average payment per beneficiary exceeds $50,000.

“And finally, average payments per beneficiary more than $50,000. Think about that: 50,000 per person getting home care in the state, on average, far above what you’d ever expect. All this points to fraud.”

Oz said those findings demonstrate why cooperation across multiple government agencies is necessary.

“The cases like these are exactly why a whole government approach is so critical, and why we have to develop best practices of how to evolve this system.”

He said Medicaid Director Dan Bilman would also discuss autism care services in Pennsylvania, which Oz said have experienced unusually high spending.

“He’s going to touch on another problem that’s a big one in Pennsylvania, which is autism care services, and why they’re again not only are they off the chart in Pennsylvania, but the rest of the country.”

Oz said CMS is providing states with tools to identify suspicious billing practices and distinguish legitimate claims from fraudulent ones.

“But we are actually here to help. We’re giving you a toolkit that will allow the state to be able to tell what’s good, what’s not, what’s foul, what’s fair, so we can identify the best use of our funds.”

He concluded by linking the increase in healthcare fraud to changes that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Yesterday, I was in Maine. We’re investigating home support services, just like you’re seeing here for adults in that case who have autism,” Oz said.

“Medicaid spending the top 10 providers there has dramatically increased over the last six years.”

“In fact, across the board, if you look at fraud in healthcare, all gone up in the last six years. What happened in 2020 that has catalyzed this? What has allowed this corruption to be weaponized? It’s COVID. COVID appears to have unleashed massive fraud through grifters because criminals knew the federal government would not follow up on the money that was spending out. We we told the world we were open for fraud, and they could start harpooning us with their spears.”

Wisconsin Democrat Francesca Hong is making it painfully clear what kind of governor she would be if voters hand her the keys in November.

Her message on immigration is not subtle, not moderate, and not remotely reassuring for anyone who believes laws should actually be enforced.

Hong has vowed to block ICE from operating in Wisconsin, which would effectively turn the state into another magnet for illegal aliens. That means more pressure on taxpayers, more strain on communities, and more danger for citizens who expect their leaders to protect them first.

Then came the line that should make every voter sit up straight. Hong did not merely promise to oppose federal immigration enforcement through policy or legal channels.

“And I assure you, I will be fighting to protect every single Wisconsinite because I’m the only candidate in this race who will meet ICE with the force and fury required to keep us all safe,” Hong said.

When a candidate talks about meeting federal law enforcement with “force and fury,” people are allowed to ask exactly what she means and just how far she is willing to go.

ICE agents are not roaming villains from some left wing fever dream.

They are federal officers tasked with enforcing immigration law, removing illegal aliens, and dealing with criminal offenders who should not be in the country in the first place.

For years, Democrats have tried to turn ICE into a cartoon enemy because the agency represents something the left increasingly despises, consequences.

The open borders crowd does not want immigration law enforced because enforcement wrecks the whole sanctuary fantasy.

Hong is leaning hard into that same radical script.

She is not presenting herself as someone who wants a careful debate over state and federal authority.

She is presenting herself as someone ready to confront ICE with the kind of rhetoric that sounds more like agitation than governance.

Wisconsin voters should understand what comes with this posture.

A sanctuary state does not just send a symbolic message to Washington.

It sends a very real signal to illegal aliens, criminal networks, and activist groups that the governor has their back against federal immigration officers.

Meanwhile, ordinary families are expected to pretend this is compassion.

The same political class that lectures everyone about public safety now cheers candidates who want to obstruct the people removing dangerous illegal aliens from American communities.

This is the modern Democratic immigration position stripped of all the consultant polish.

They want the benefits of lawlessness while dodging responsibility for the consequences.

If crime rises, they blame Republicans.

If schools and hospitals are overwhelmed, they demand more money.

If ICE tries to do its job, they scream about oppression.

Hong may attempt to soften her words as the campaign heats up.

That is how these things usually go once the clip starts traveling beyond the activist bubble.

First comes the applause line, then comes the clean up operation.

But voters should believe what they heard the first time.

Candidates reveal themselves when they are speaking to friendly crowds, and Hong made clear that her enemy is not illegal immigration.

Her enemy is the federal agency trying to stop it.

The deeper problem is that this attitude is no longer fringe inside the Democratic Party.

From city councils to statehouses, the left keeps pushing the idea that immigration enforcement is illegitimate while expecting citizens to accept whatever chaos follows.

That hostility toward law enforcement does not stop with ICE.

Once politicians convince their supporters that certain officers are enemies, threats and obstruction become easier to justify.

We have seen this pattern before, and it never ends with more order or more safety.

Conservatives should not let the left hide behind vague language about community protection.

Protecting Wisconsin means protecting the citizens, workers, families, and lawful residents who live there.

It does not mean turning the state into a shield for people who broke immigration law.

Hong’s remarks are a warning flare. Wisconsin can choose a governor who respects law enforcement and public safety, or it can gamble on a candidate promising “force and fury” against ICE.

That should not be a hard call for anyone still living in reality.

Democratic congressional candidate Kirill Basin was arrested Saturday following an altercation at Keawakapu Beach in South Kihei, Hawaii, resulting in multiple felony charges and a $1 million bail.

Basin, 40, is running for Congress in Hawaii against incumbent U.S. Rep. Jill Tokuda.

The incident occurred at Keawakapu Beach in South Kihei, a census-designated place in Maui County located on the leeward, or south, side of Maui between Maʻalaea and Wailea.

Video of the confrontation circulated online following the incident, showing Basin engaged in a heated exchange with a group of people on the beach.

During the encounter, Basin can be heard repeatedly challenging those around him.

“What you gonna do? What you gonna do?” Basin said.

The confrontation escalated moments later when another man struck Basin with a single punch, knocking him unconscious.

The video shows Basin collapsing to the sand after the blow.

Authorities later arrested Basin in connection with the incident.

According to the information provided, Basin was charged with two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening.

Following his arrest, bail was set at $1 million.

The charges come as Basin campaigns for Hawaii’s congressional seat currently held by Democratic Rep. Jill Tokuda.

The incident unfolded at Keawakapu Beach, a popular shoreline that stretches between Kihei and Wailea on the island of Maui.

South Kihei is known as a residential and resort community along Maui’s southern coastline.

Basin’s arrest immediately drew attention because it involved an active congressional candidate during an election cycle.

Video recordings of the altercation quickly spread online, with viewers focusing on the verbal confrontation that preceded the physical exchange.

The footage captures Basin confronting individuals on the beach before repeatedly asking, “What you gonna do? What you gonna do?”

Moments later, another individual responded with a single punch that ended the confrontation.

Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois took to the Senate floor this week to deliver a full blown tribute to Anthony Fauci, even after Fauci pleaded the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times before a Senate panel.

Durbin portrayed Fauci as a national treasure who has been mistreated by Republicans, a familiar routine from Democrats whenever one of their favored bureaucrats faces actual questions.

“Dr. Fauci is an example of American excellence, a brilliant scientific mind, and yet the Republican Party has chosen to make this doctor, who saved countless lives, a political target,” Durbin said.

That glowing defense came after Fauci appeared before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, where he refused to answer questions about his role during the pandemic, his public statements, and contradictions found in his personal diary.

The diary, released by Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, has raised fresh scrutiny because it reportedly showed Fauci acknowledging that scientists believed the virus likely came from a lab leak, even as that possibility was publicly mocked and dismissed.

Durbin, however, chose to focus not on Fauci’s silence under questioning, but on the supposedly cruel treatment of a longtime Washington medical power broker.

“Last week, the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs subpoenaed Dr. Fauci in front of Congress for a hearing, with the express goal of humiliating and vilifying him,” Durbin complained.

The Democrat then accused Republicans of mistreating Fauci during the hearing, framing basic accountability as some sort of grave Senate offense.

“For nearly three hours, my Republican colleagues berated, cursed, and insulted a man who has dedicated his life to protecting the health of American families. This behavior is below the dignity of the Senate,” he said.

That is rich coming from the party that spent years lecturing Americans, shutting down dissent, and treating parents, workers, and small business owners like public health criminals for daring to ask questions.

Durbin also claimed the hearing was a political spectacle rather than a serious inquiry, even though Fauci’s pandemic record remains one of the most consequential and disputed chapters in recent American government.

“Put simply, it was an embarrassment,” Durbin said, before accusing Republicans of chasing what he called “COVID conspiracy theories.”

The problem for Durbin is that many of the questions once dismissed as fringe are now part of the public record, including serious concerns about the origins of the virus and the shifting guidance that defined the pandemic years.

Durbin insisted Republicans were trying to “try and tear down a man who’s devoted his entire life to lifting others up,” and added that Fauci “deserves an apology for the way he was treated by my colleagues.”

“And the American people deserve better than the pitiful display we saw in the Senate last Wednesday,” Durbin added.

Republicans see it very differently, especially after Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment repeatedly despite receiving a pardon that Chairman Rand Paul said removed the basis for such a refusal.

“The chairman has denied your assertion of privilege and directed you to answer, but you nonetheless refuse and stand on privilege despite the existence of the pardon,” Paul said during the hearing.

“The committee will have to consider after this hearing what appropriate action should be taken against you for the failure to testify after being directed to do so,” Paul added.

Paul has now announced that the committee will vote Thursday morning on a resolution to hold Fauci in contempt of Congress.

“Dr. Fauci appeared under subpoena and invoked the Fifth Amendment to refuse answering questions,” Paul said in a statement.

“During the hearing, I ruled that the Fifth Amendment did not apply because of the pardon, and that Fauci had waived any remaining privilege by giving opening testimony. I ordered him to answer and warned him about contempt, yet he still refused.”

Paul’s conclusion was blunt and direct.

“That is obstruction of a congressional investigation. The Committee will act accordingly.”

For Democrats, Fauci remains a secular saint of the pandemic era, shielded from scrutiny no matter how many questions pile up around his statements, his emails, his diary, and his testimony.

For millions of Americans who lived through mandates, closures, censorship, and endless lectures from experts who kept changing their story, Durbin’s demand for an apology lands like another insult from Washington’s protected class.

Sebastian Gorka said U.S. counterterrorism efforts should be centered on what he described as the country’s current security threats rather than political considerations, arguing that federal authorities must adapt to the changing landscape of domestic and international violence.

Speaking about national security priorities, Gorka said his approach is to remove politics from counterterrorism policy and instead concentrate resources on organizations and individuals he believes present the greatest danger today.

“So we’re taking politics out of counterterrorism, and what we are focusing on is real threats, cartels under Stephen Miller, jihadists under our directorate, and then the anti-left-wing threat,” Gorka said.

He argued that recent research supports his assessment, pointing to a report published by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Gorka emphasized that he does not view the organization as politically aligned with the conservative movement.

“Because sadly, CSIS, the Center for Security and International Studies, it’s not a MAGA outfit. Okay, that is a Democrat think tank, and they literally just published an extensive report saying the empirical facts are pretty clear.”

According to Gorka, the report concluded that while right-wing terrorism continues to exist, left-wing terrorism has become the more significant form of political violence in the United States.

“We may have some right-wing terrorists in America, but left-wing terrorism is the ascendant form of violence,” he said.

Gorka then pointed to several high-profile attacks that he believes illustrate the current threat environment.

Referring to President Donald Trump, he argued that multiple attempts have been made on the president’s life.

“How many left-wing terrorists have tried to kill my boss, President Trump?” Gorka asked.

He also cited the 2017 shooting that seriously wounded then-House Majority Whip Steve Scalise during a congressional baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia.

“Look at Steve Scalise, almost killed, shot in the hip by a Bernie Sanders campaign volunteer at a baseball game not far from where we’re sitting,” Gorka said.

Gorka also referenced the death of Charlie Kirk, describing it as another example of what he believes is the current trend in politically motivated violence.

“Or our friend, my friend Charlie Kirk, killed live on camera by somebody who likewise was a left-wing terrorist.”

Throughout his remarks, Gorka argued that counterterrorism priorities should evolve over time rather than remain fixed on threats that were more prominent decades ago.

He contrasted today’s security environment with that of the 1990s, when he said right-wing militia groups were viewed as a more pressing concern by law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

“If we were back in the 1990s and I was the terrorism chief for for the present back then, yeah, I’d be concentrating on militias. I’d be looking at right wing potential terrorists,” Gorka said.

He maintained, however, that the security landscape has changed significantly and requires a different strategy.

“But we’re not in the 1990 s. It’s 2026, and I have to look at the real threat.”

Gorka concluded by reiterating what he believes should be the three primary areas of focus for U.S. counterterrorism efforts moving forward.

“The real threat is jihadis, cartels, and left wing violence.”
