At a press conference this week, Wasserman Schultz called the Supreme Court decision allowing the Trump administration to end TPS amnesty for Haitian and Syrian migrants “disgusting.”

The Supreme Court, in a 6 to 3 ruling, made clear that Congress gave the executive branch the authority to decide when and how Temporary Protected Status ends.

In other words, the law actually means what it says.

The Florida Democrat, however, painted a picture of chaos and cruelty.

She claimed American families would pay “even higher prices for groceries, health care, housing, and childcare” if Haitians under TPS were deported.

She then insisted that the country now faces a moral emergency that requires giving these migrants a pathway to permanent legal status.

Wasserman Schultz continued her habitual moral scolding by insisting that the Trump administration created a “culture of fear” among migrants.

She claimed this atmosphere prevented any TPS recipients from joining her at the press event, saying, “When I have done a press conference around TPS, I’m nearly always able to get a TPS recipient to join me. The culture of fear that Donald Trump has created understandably prevented anyone from having the ability to join us this morning.”

Her remarks are exactly what one might expect from a party that refuses to acknowledge that Temporary Protected Status was never meant to become a permanent immigration loophole.

TPS was created by Congress in 1990 for short term humanitarian relief for aliens who could not safely return home.

The Court also clearly said the law blocks any judicial review of those decisions.

Their wording was unambiguous: “The TPS statute plainly bars consideration of respondents’ non constitutional claims. It allows no judicial review of any determination with respect to the termination of a TPS designation.”

That is legal simplicity, not malice, something the left refuses to grasp.

Despite this clarity, Wasserman Schultz and fellow Democrats refused to take the ruling as lawful or final.

Instead, they reverted to the usual emotional theatrics. Rep. Rob Menendez accused the Trump administration of wanting “to create the largest undocumented population that it possibly can.”

Rep. Melanie Stansbury and Rep. Pete Aguilar echoed that hysteria, claiming the policy was essentially designed to “inflict pain” on immigrants.

For years, Democrats have treated immigration enforcement as a moral crime.

They use phrases like “law abiding neighbors” to describe people who entered under a temporary program designed for emergencies, not permanent resettlement.

A quiet Monday morning at a Kentucky Fried Chicken in Florissant, Missouri turned violent when an armed criminal stormed the restaurant and demanded cash from terrified employees.

What the thug did not expect was a 21-year-old cook who refused to be a victim.

Markell Hitchings was prepping food for the day when he spotted a man dressed in black walking into the restaurant.

Hitchings at first thought the man was just using the restroom, but something about the stranger’s behavior set off alarms in his mind.

He told KSDK-TV, “I had it back in my mind that he was going to try to do something.”

His gut feeling turned out to be absolutely right.

The suspect soon barged behind the counter and demanded the manager hand over the cash.

Hitchings said the manager dropped to the floor in shock as the man brandished a gun. Hitchings told her to comply to avoid getting hurt.

The thief grabbed the money and sprinted out the front door, but he did not get far.

As fate would have it, Hitchings had stepped out behind the restaurant near the drive through area.

The armed robber came around the back and locked eyes with the young cook.

He then demanded Hitchings’ cell phone.

That was one demand too many.

Hitchings flatly refused, and the two began to fight.

“He asked me for my cell phone, and I didn’t give him my phone, and we got to tussling around in back by the drive thru,” Hitchings said.

The attacker tried to maintain control as his gun flew from his hands during the scuffle.

The fight turned brutal and desperate as Hitchings called for help while adrenaline began to fade.

“I was screaming for help because I was losing adrenaline,” he said, but he did not back down.

The cook summoned more strength, wrestling the criminal to the ground.

“Once I had him in a chokehold, I’m on his back.

He grabbed rocks and tried to smash them over my head, but it didn’t work,” Hitchings recalled.

His determination stopped a violent robbery from turning into a tragedy.

Employees in a nearby business called 911 as Hitchings held the suspect down until police arrived.

When officers reached the scene, they found a stolen firearm used in the robbery along with the stolen cash.

The suspect, identified as Tamon Sleet, learned the hard way that not all working Americans are helpless in the face of criminal threats.

Authorities later revealed that Sleet was already suspected of attacking a ride share driver in north St. Louis County just days earlier, a disturbing trend of escalating violence before his KFC rampage.

Thankfully, thanks to Hitchings’ courage, he was stopped before he could hurt anyone else.

For Hitchings, the experience was a blur of danger and adrenaline, but his perspective afterward reflected faith and gratitude.

“It all just happened so fast. I know it was dangerous. I wouldn’t advise anyone to do that. I was never afraid at all. Honestly, I thank God that it all played out the way it did,” he said.

Police charged Sleet with multiple offenses including assault, armed criminal action, and vehicle hijacking related to the ride share attack.

“Folks, they love to go to war with objective truth,” Bongino said.

He argued that Democrats reject fixed definitions because they view them as obstacles to expanding government authority.

“The Democrats can never stick to a predefined set of rules or laws, because why it limits them,” Bongino said.

According to Bongino, that approach extends beyond legislation to the meanings of words themselves.

“So, you’ll see them changing the definition of words, telling you two plus two equals seven, because they think all knowledge is made up by white men, and that knowledge is a construct of their power. So, you should dispute everything that is what critical theory is,” Bongino said.

Bongino then turned to what he described as a significant day for the Trump administration before the Supreme Court.

“Why am I bringing this up? There were a bunch of Supreme Court wins yesterday for President Trump. Huge, you had the Supreme Court ruling on asylum, you had the Supreme Court ruling on temporary protection status for Haitians, Syrians, and others. You had a Supreme Court ruling about the Second Amendment. It was huge,” Bongino said.

He said he found it unusual that one of the immigration cases was litigated despite what he considered to be straightforward statutory language.

“It was a big day yesterday, but what was bizarre yesterday is that these cases are in court at all,” Bongino said.

Discussing Temporary Protected Status, Bongino referenced the law enacted in 1990.

“One of the cases about temporary protected status is very simply this: there was a was a 1990 law that said, due to a crisis, I think it was in South America, El Salvador, that we can bring some of these people here under temporary protected status for a limited period of time, was subject to like an 18 month or so review, and then after that they were either going to be sent back, or we would extend it again,” Bongino said.

He argued that the statutory language leaves little room for interpretation.

“But the word in there, TPS stands for what, Justin, temporary,” Bongino said.

Bongino emphasized that the word “temporary” carries an ordinary meaning.

“Now temporary to the non-imbecile class, i.e. the liberals and the media, wondering why, wondering why the United States is winning, and how we aren’t more puzzled by it, like you are the word temporary has a meaning,” Bongino said.

He added, “Let me define it by what it word temporary means, not permanent. This is not hard when you grant TPS, or temporary protected status. When they wrote the law in 1990 they meant it was temporary because they called it temporary protected status.”

Bongino also cited language in the statute that, according to him, limits judicial involvement.

“When the law was written to give temporary protected status to some of these folks from other countries to bring them here for a temporary amount of time, they specifically wrote in the law… that there is no judicial review of any determination with respect to the designation or termination or extension of a designation of a foreign state,” Bongino said.

He argued that this language means courts are not authorized to review those determinations.

“So, when they wrote in the law, no judicial review, that means no court action, that means you couldn’t bring it to the court,” Bongino said.

Turning to the Court’s asylum ruling, Bongino argued that the relevant statute likewise uses plain language.

“There was another Supreme Court case yesterday… written in the law, you have to arrive in the United States to claim asylum,” Bongino said.

He used a hypothetical example to illustrate his interpretation.

“Now, if I were to say to anyone who’s not a moron or a liberal in this case, you know, if I were going to claim my party favor by arriving at the party, it would mean you would have to arrive at the party where the party is. It doesn’t mean you can claim your party favor outside of the party, you’d have to arrive in the party,” Bongino said.

Bongino said the Court concluded that asylum applicants must first arrive in the United States before seeking asylum.

“So, Supreme Court ruled in a six three decision… that you do not automatically get asylum at the border, and what they, what Sam Alito said, is you have to arrive in the United States to get asylum, you can’t claim it from Mexico,” Bongino said.

He concluded by arguing that these disputes reflect a broader effort to reinterpret laws and language for political purposes.

“Folks. This is intentional. Yes, there are useful idiots, and a lot of them in this subsection of the Democrat party that wants America destroyed and is troubled by the United States’ success in the World Cup, they hate it. They want us to lose to Iran, they want us to lose to Turkey in the World Cup. They hate you, they hate this country and everything about it. They have shown their ass to you 1000 times,” Bongino said.
