Tim Walz’s Wife Says She Kept The Windows Open During BLM Riots To “Smell The Burning Tires” – And Their Daughter Helped Tip Off Rioters

What would you do if rioting was ongoing outside your home?

Would you consider boarding up your windows? Perhaps arming yourself in case of intrusion? Or, like Gov. Tim Walz’s wife, would you open the windows and enjoy the fumes of tires burning.

In a truly bizarre clip shared on social media, Gwen Walz said she kept the windows open at their residence in Minnesota during the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots following the death of George Floyd.

“I could smell the burning tires, and that was a very real thing,” Walz said in the resurfaced clip. “I kept the windows open as long as I could because I felt like that was such a touchstone of what was happening.”

In other words – she wanted to smell the burning because she agreed what it was happening in the name of.

Social media users saw the funny side of the clip.

Others made reference to husband Tim’s remarks about opposite number J.D. Vance.

Aside from inhaling toxic fumes, Kamala Harris’ running mate’s response to the BLM riots has come under heavy scrutiny since his selection on Tuesday, August 6.

And it truly is a family affair. His daughter Hope Walz was busy tipping off rioters on X as to the National Guard’s movements by sharing confidential information with them.

“Could someone who actually has followers rely [sic] to the masses that have gotten ‘national guard’ trending that the guard WILL NOT be present tonight??” Hope wrote on the platform on May 28, 2020. “The guard can not [sic] be sent in within minutes.”
