According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), Tom Artiom Alexandrovich, 38, head of the Technological Defense Division at Israel’s National Cyber Directorate, was arrested in Las Vegas during a multi-agency operation targeting child predators.

Authorities said he was caught attempting to solicit sex electronically from a minor.

He was booked into the Henderson Detention Center and released on $10,000 bail. State court records show the judge did not require Alexandrovich to turn over his passport, allowing him to board a flight and return to Israel two days later.

The Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force confirmed the operation involved LVMPD, the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations, Henderson Police, North Las Vegas Police, and the Nevada Attorney General’s Office.

In total, eight individuals were arrested and charged with felony counts of luring a child with a computer for sexual acts. The suspects included:

Ynet News reported that Alexandrovich returned to his hotel after questioning and then flew back to Israel. Israeli officials downplayed the incident, claiming it had “no political implications.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office released a statement denying Alexandrovich had been arrested, saying he was only “questioned by American authorities” and returned to Israel as scheduled.

The U.S. State Department disputed suggestions that the federal government intervened.

“The Department of State is aware that Tom Artiom Alexandrovich, an Israeli citizen, was arrested in Las Vegas and given a court date for charges related to soliciting sex electronically from a minor. He did not claim diplomatic immunity and was released by a state judge pending a court date. Any claims that the U.S. government intervened are false,” the department said.

Nevada Attorney General Sigal Chattah said U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi was furious over the case, blaming state authorities for mishandling Alexandrovich’s release.

“A liberal district attorney and state court judge in Nevada FAILED TO REQUIRE AN ALLEGED CHILD MOLESTER TO SURRENDER HIS PASSPORT, which allowed him to flee our country,” Chattah said.

“The Attorney General [Pam Bondi] just called me outraged and she also called the [FBI Director Kash Patel]. The individual who fled our country should have had his passport seized by the state authorities. He must be returned immediately to face justice.”

Federal officials have not said whether the United States will seek Alexandrovich’s extradition.

Fox host Charlie Hurt asked about the conversation. Trump revealed that Putin told him there had been no communication with the White House during the Biden administration.

“They had no communication with the White House for years as people died, years with Biden and his people, no communication. Putin told me, years, it was years that he didn’t speak to anybody from the White House, and it was a long time that he didn’t speak to anybody from Europe.”

Trump described the U.S.-Russia relationship under Biden as “fractured,” stressing the need for dialogue. “In this case, two to tango. They have to have somewhat of a relationship. Otherwise, we’re just wasting a lot of time,” he said.

The president also pointed to his recent meeting with Putin in Alaska as evidence of their working relationship.

“Despite the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax, which truly was a very dangerous thing for our country, I maintained a very good relationship. You saw that when he got off his plane, I got off my plane, there’s a warmth there … and it’s a good thing, not a bad thing.”

Trump explained that he informed the European leaders he would be contacting Putin after the summit.

“By the time I called him, it was one o’clock in the morning in Russia. We had a very good call, and I told them that we’re going to set up a meeting with President Zelensky, and you and he will meet, and then after that meeting, if everything works out, I’ll meet, and we’ll wrap it up,” Trump said.

He emphasized that his focus is to end the conflict and save lives.

“If I can save 7,000 people a week from being killed, I think that’s pretty— I want to try and get to heaven, if possible.”

The measure applies to students residing in Illinois who attend institutions overseen by the state, local governments, or public universities.

Villanueva’s office said the change “builds upon Villanueva’s long-standing advocacy for immigrant and first-generation students by creating a more consistent and inclusive pathway to accessing support.”

“If you live in Illinois and are pursuing higher education, you should have access to the same opportunities as your peers,” Villanueva said.

“Illinois invests in all of our students, and we’re committed to helping them succeed.”

The decision has fueled debate over the state’s financial priorities. A spokesperson for the Illinois Republican Party argued the law places an added burden on taxpayers.

“Once again, Governor Pritzker proves that he is prioritizing illegal immigrants at the expense of Illinois families,” the spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

“Illinois taxpayers should not have their hard-earned taxpayer dollars pay for benefits to illegal immigrants who shouldn’t be here in the first place.”

The law takes effect immediately and is expected to impact a broad group of students who were previously excluded from receiving state financial aid.

The Department of Justice will begin providing documents related to Jeffrey Epstein to the House Oversight Committee on Friday, according to an announcement made by Chairman James Comer (R-KY) on Monday, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

He said Swift’s music has been central to his family’s life for years.

“I’m in a family’s Switie group chat. I know all her music and I listen to it in my headphones when I cut the grass,” Comey said.

He added that his favorites include the 10-minute version of “All Too Well” and “Exile,” her duet with Bon Iver.

“Taylor Swift has grown up with my family and provided us a soundtrack, really, as we’ve grown ourselves and learned and adapted and dealt with adversity and celebration,” Comey said, noting that millions of families may feel the same way.

Comey explained that Swift’s career has offered lessons at every stage, which resonated with his children and also with him as a parent.

One of the ways her influence shapes his outlook, Comey said, is in how to deal with bullies.

“But I gotta be honest, it also leaves me with a strange feeling at times, because I don’t want us to become like Trump and his followers,” Comey said.

“There are far more decent, honest, kind people in America than there are mean jerks. And don’t get me wrong, we have our jerks, millions of them.”

He went on to accuse Republicans of exhibiting “stunning coarseness,” while arguing that it reflects a minority attitude in the country.

“I am not an advocate for weakness. Of course, we need to stand up to jerks and defend what matters, but I think we have to try to do that without becoming like them, which is what makes me think about Taylor Swift,” Comey said.

“She’s made clear that she sees Donald Trump for what he is. Last year, she urged Americans not to make the serious mistake of electing him.”

Comey continued by claiming, “Of course, we’re now living with the consequences of that mistake. But while our elderly makeup-covered president is posting about whether Taylor Swift is still hot and declaring that he can’t stand her, what’s she doing? Living her best life, producing great music and, as she urged all of us to do during the podcast, not giving the jerks power over her mind.”

He cited Swift’s advice to treat personal energy “like a luxury item” and pointed to research suggesting that rudeness can make people less happy.

“We can’t stop people from being jerks. What we can do is stop it from hurting us, from changing us,” he added.

She highlighted youth crime as a central problem, pointing out that violent crimes committed by teenagers are often routed to family courts under a system focused on rehabilitation.

“If I have a 17-year-old who shoots someone with a gun, but he doesn’t kill that person, I cannot… prosecute them, investigate them. It goes to the family court. The mission there is rehabilitation… and that just isn’t cutting it with me or anyone else who’s a law enforcement professional.”

Pirro argued that the justice system in D.C. is failing victims by prioritizing rehabilitation programs such as “yoga” and “ice cream socials” over accountability for offenders.

“For 30 years, I have fought the fight to make sure that we make criminals accountable and that we protect the victim. We are not doing enough to protect the victims in D.C.,” she said.

Taste of the City Lounge describes itself as a restaurant and nightlife venue serving American and Caribbean dishes, with a full bar, hookah, and DJs.

The business opened in 2022 and is located less than half a mile from the Brooklyn Museum.

The restaurant had closed at 3 a.m. Sunday, just minutes before the shooting occurred.

The NYPD has maintained a presence in the area as the investigation continues.

Detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are seeking information that may help identify the individual responsible.

Local authorities have urged anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact police.
