Two attorneys general known for attacking high profile Republicans joined forces in Michigan over the weekend to campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris and Democrats.

“We all need to step outside our comfort zones to support pro-democracy and pro-choice candidates in this crucial election,” Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel posted to X on Saturday. “Whether it’s phone banking, knocking on doors, or writing postcards, every effort counts.

The stop in Southfield was among others with New York Attorney General Letitia James, who led a civil lawsuit against the Trump Organization that continues on appeal. That case started with a promise from James during her 2018 campaign for AG to investigate the 45th POTUS.

CNN anchor Jim Acosta flipped when his contributor David Urban challenged the media narrative that former President Donald Trump was to blame for the chaos surrounding Jan. 6.

During the panel discussion that aired recently, people died as a result of the riot.

However, Urban pushed back, saying, “The only person that died on Jan 6 was Ashli Babbitt, who was murdered.”

This remark did not go down well with Jim Acosta, who said the situation could have been avoided if “Trump had just been a man and accepted the election results.”

Hollywood icon Jon Voight is rallying voters ahead of the last days of the 2024 election, calling it a critical moment for the future of the United States.

Voight urged Americans to vote for Donald Trump, describing him as America’s only hope to prevent the impending downfall of the nation under a potential Kamala Harris presidency.

“My fellow Americans, we’re now in a time of the darkest plague ever, and our chance, our only chance, is this November, to vote for the president of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump for 2024,” Voight stated.

The actor then addressed the Hollywood elite, who are pushing for a Harris presidency.

“There are a lot of my peers putting out videos trying to brainwash the American people to do the most dangerous vote ever,” he said.

“Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. They both are the lowest and most vile choice that you can trust with your life, your children’s life. They will destroy the American dream.”

Voight then warned of the consequences of electing Harris or Walz

“They are corrupt, and my fellow Americans, they will turn the beauty that once was thriving into a prison of darkness with criminals killing and stealing,” Voight said.

2.7 million non-citizens could cast votes in the 2024 election in November, according to a new study which adds weight to growing concerns that the Biden-Harris “open border” was part of a broader strategy to keep Democrats in power and ignore the will of the American people.

Nonprofit research institute, Just Facts, found that around “10% to 27% of non-citizen adults in the U.S. are now illegally registered to vote.”

It continues, “The U.S. Census recorded more than 19 million adult non-citizens living in the U.S. during 2022.“

“Given their voter registration rates, this means that about two million to five million of them are illegally registered to vote. These figures are potentially high enough to overturn the will of the American people in major elections, including congressional seats and the presidency.”

A 2014 study revealed that 81% of non-citizens cast votes for Democrats in the 2008 presidential election.

In the 2020 election, 70% of all votes cast were done by mail or early.

Without basic exit polling for the majority of votes, questions were raised about how voter fraud could be detected.

Just Facts study author James Agresti said non-citizens can register to vote relatively easily.

“In no state in the nation are they required to provide proof of U.S. citizenship in order to register to vote,” Agresti told The Washington Stand.

“And if you look at the federal voter registration form, it says you can submit all different forms of I.D. to register. That could be a Social Security number, it could be a driver’s license number, or it could just be a utility bill.”

“I mean, these are things that anyone can get by living here. They do not prove you’re a U.S. citizen.”

“And more than that, a lot of non-citizens have faked Social Security numbers, especially illegal immigrants,” he added. “That’s what they do to work.”

The Social Security Administration estimated that “tallied 2.5 million non-citizens who had Social Security numbers gained by using fake birth certificates or stealing those numbers from somebody else,” Agresti noted.

The Heritage Foundation’s Election Law Reform Initiative manager, Hans von Spakovsky, also highlighted the Just Facts study during testimony before Congress in May this year.

“This new study not only affirms the conclusions of the 2014 report but, based on an analysis of the more recent data, estimates that 10 to 27% of all aliens currently in the U.S. are registered to vote and that 5 to 13% of them will illegally vote in the 2024 presidential and congressional elections,” he said.

Meanwhile, Kerri Toloczko, executive director of the Election Integrity Network, said the number of non-citizens voting today is even higher than in the last election.

“A 2014 academic journal found that 6.4% of non-citizens voted in 2008,” Toloczko said. “There are about 24 million non-citizens in the U.S. right now. If they voted only at the same rate of 6.4% this year as they did in 2008, they would account for 1.5 million votes.”

“Based on the increased non-citizen activity at state DMVs, and the work of left-wing voter registration activists, this 6.4% could be much higher than it was in 2008,” she added. “We could be looking at over two million unlawful non-citizen votes.”

A Republican National Committee lawsuit against Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson resulted in new guidance on signature verification following issues in Warren during the August primary. The RNC sued Benson in September after incomplete guidance from her office resulted in thousands of absent voter ballots tabulated in Warren during the Aug. 6 primary “despite the complete absence of a statement by the clerk on the corresponding return envelope that the absent voter ballot is approved for tabulation as expressly required” under Michigan law, the lawsuit read.

“The clerk must verify that the signature on a returned absent voter ballot envelope matches the voter’s signature on file,” according to the updated guidance cited by The Federalist. “Approval can be expressed by completing and initialing the portion of the ‘clerk section’ indicating that the signature was verified.”

Guidance issued by Benson in February 2024 did not inform clerks of the requirement to include “a statement by the city or township clerk that the absent voter ballot is approved for verification” once the voter’s signature is verified, as required by law. Without that verification, the law states “the clerk shall reject the absent voter ballot and provide the elector with notice of the opportunity to cure the deficiency.”

“In response to our lawsuit, Secretary Benson has updated her guidance to require proof that signatures have been verified before ballots are counted,” according to a RNC statement.

Family bands can go one of two ways. Generally, they’re very, very good, or they’re very, very embarrassing. 

Take the Von Trapp family made famous in The Sound of Music. The film has loomed so large that many people, especially younger ones, have forgotten, or never knew, that this was a real family. They did escape from Austria to evade the Nazis, and they came to America where they performed as a touring music group until 1957. As your faithful correspondent writes this, many of them are making their living just up the road from this writer’s house in Vermont. In fact, I sold my last house through the Von Trapp realty firm. 

Or take the Petersen family, a modern American family musical group. They’re not only technically good (skilled vocals, sweet and close harmonies) enough to sell out Branson, Missouri, for years, but they’re generally well-liked. Why? First, because they’re good, but second, because they sing songs with universal themes. They cover well-known hits that speak of love, despair, disappointment and triumph. In a word, they don’t beat listeners over the head with partisan politics. 

But then there are family singing groups like the Marsh Family from the UK. It’s not that they’re technically bad, although the track you’re going to hear below has a corny synthesized musical accompaniment. They can sing well enough. 

It’s what they sing. Here’s a sample, sung by Matriarch Marsh:

Yes. Really. When you have to add an extra syllable to “constitution” to make it fit the melodic meter, you may be too focused on partisan politics and not enough making good music. 

There’s more. These very white Brits sound like they’re trying to get a favored spot under Kam Kam’s coconut tree by singing in a faux-Jamaican accent and style. Here’s another line, but you really have to hear it to take in the full horror.

Last week, former U.S. Ambassador Joseph Cella warned about dangers the Chinese Communist Party-linked Gotion battery plant pose to national security, particularly the Camp Grayling National Guard base used to train Taiwanese soldiers.

On Wednesday, federal prosecutors charged five University of Michigan graduates from China with spying on the military base as it conducted Northern Strike, one of the largest National Guard exercises in the nation that also involved the Taiwanese military, The Detroit News reports.

“Camp Grayling is the hub of the National All-Domain Warfighting Center, which trains our troops and those of our allies, including Taiwan, in strategic and tactical battle operations,” Cella told the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability during a hearing on the CCP last week, according to the Taipei Times.

FBI Special Agent Caroline Julee Colpoys wrote in a criminal complaint filed Wednesday that five Chinese nationals were found with cameras at Camp Grayling during Northern Strike on Aug. 13, 2023, when they were caught by a Utah National Guard sergeant major taking photos just feet from military vehicles, tents and communications equipment.

Though it took the media several suspicious days to notice, most Americans now know that huge portions of the southeast have been destroyed by Hurricane Helene. Television shows us dramatic images of the wind destruction, but it’s the water that can truly destroy towns and cities. 

This storm was one of the worst to hit the American south in decades. Even places far in-land, such as Western North Carolina, took the kind of direct hit that most of us associate with living right on the ocean. Whole towns in the foothills of mountains have been wiped off the map. The rain dump was so fast and furious that even mountainside dwellers—the lucky ones—are stuck behind impassable downed trees and roads that don’t exist anymore. 

The woman who wants to be our next President sprang into action. From her flying office, Kamala Harris let scared Americans know she was on the job by sharing a picture of her airliner suite. Here she is “taking notes” on what appears to be blank paper, while “listening to a phone call” while her earbuds are not plugged in to the phone. 

On October 2, Harris made a stop in hurricane-ravaged Augusta, Georgia, to announce the federal government’s generosity. Every person with an immediate need can get up to—wait for it—$750. That’s right, a whole $750. What can you get with that? Not much. It’s not enough to replace all four brakes on the average car. It’s less than one month’s rent in most areas for a studio-efficiency apartment. 

Funny how illegal border crossers—criminals by definition—get a whole lot more just for showing up. They don’t even have to lose their home, they don’t have to be sitting on a tree stump praying that a rescue truck can get up the mountain. All they have to do is break into the country, and New York City, for example, will give them a loaded debit card with twice the money that Americans in New York get for monthly food stamps. 

As you would expect, social media users were a bit put off. 

Remember the devastating Lahaina wildfire that killed hundreds in Hawaii? The internet does. 

Remember when a freight train derailed in Ohio and sent a plume of toxic gas into the air, and nobody from the White House bothered to show up or say anything for weeks? The internet does.
