White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller said he had mixed emotions following the Supreme Court’s 5-4 decision on birthright citizenship, calling the ruling a significant setback while praising several other recent victories for President Donald Trump before the nation’s highest court.

“Stephen Miller, so, Stephen, how did you feel when you saw the decision come down?” Watters asked.

“Well, I had two feelings. First, the fact that it was five four, so agonizingly close, just underscored that the legal community on the right and left has been so wrong for so many years, saying this is going to be a nine zero ruling against President Trump,” Miller said.

“The heartbreaking part of this is thinking about what it means for America over the long term. Well, the short term, in the long term,” Miller said.

“Look, President Trump won some massive, unprecedented victories with the Supreme Court, like the Haitian TPS ruling, the asylum ruling, the slaughter ruling, giving him unfettered authority to terminate federal bureaucrats,” Miller said.

Despite those rulings, Miller said he believes the birthright citizenship decision represents a serious blow.

“But this is absolutely a deep knife wound in the heart of the American Republic,” Miller said.

To explain his position, Miller used an analogy involving an airplane.

“Look, Jesse, I can step tomorrow onto the deck of a 747 It does not mean that I am the pilot of that plane, I’m qualified to fly it. Just physically being on US soil does not make you a citizen or qualified to carry on are capable of executing the inheritance of this country,” Miller said.

Miller argued that current interpretations of birthright citizenship allow foreigners to obtain U.S. citizenship in a manner he believes was never intended by the Constitution.

“We have people from all over the world, from third world nations, nations that on their own would have never invented the wheel, let alone modern technology, let alone medicine, let alone air travel, and they can just come into the country, have a baby at a hospital paid for by you and me, and then that baby is automatically a citizen,” Miller said.

He continued by describing what he sees as the long-term consequences of that policy.

“That baby can sit on a jury when he turns 18 and sit in judgment of you and sit in judgment of me and sit in judgment of our loved ones. Can decide who our mayors are, our governors are, our presidents are,” Miller said.

According to Miller, citizenship loses its significance if it is automatically granted under those circumstances.

“Citizenship means nothing if it is open to everyone,” Miller said.

Miller also offered another hypothetical example.

“The idea that you can have a cruise ship filled with foreigners and they just dock at a port for an hour and someone has a baby, Jesse, the baby is an American citizen, they can vote in every election for the rest of their lives, they can be living in a foreign country and cashing welfare checks from American citizens,” Miller said.

Miller criticized the constitutional reasoning behind the ruling, arguing that the 14th Amendment does not apply in the way he believes some justices have interpreted it.

“Look, I know that some of the justices who worked on this, they think that they’re so intelligent. There is no possible reading of the 14th Amendment that applies to foreigners with foreign loyalties, foreign citizenship, foreign obligations, foreign everything,” Miller said.

He also argued that constitutional interpretation should not produce outcomes he believes are harmful to the nation.

“And here’s another point. Here’s a pretty good clue your constitutional interpretation is wrong. If your ruling requires you to suicide your civilization, your reading of the Constitution is wrong,” Miller said.

Miller concluded by thanking President Trump for pursuing the issue and expressing confidence that additional action could eventually bring changes to birthright citizenship.

“President Grant and the congressman in the 19th century did not want to create an automatic third world citizenship requirement for America, it’s an abomination, but let’s thank President Trump, because of President Trump’s courage and leadership. We are now on the precipice. Yes, we were dealt a setback, but because of his courage alone, we’re on the precipice as a nation of being in a position to end this travesty once and for all, and that’s what you have to fight for,” Miller said.

Mamdani, who is as far from a moderate as they come, said Harris congratulated him on his endorsements and success in promoting socialist victories.

“The vice president reached out to have a conversation, and we’ve had a brief conversation,” Mamdani told SiriusXM’s “The Clay Cane Show.”

“We’ve been in touch over the last few months, and I really do appreciate her outreach.”

That “outreach” appears to be part of a broader effort by Harris to charm the radical wing that nearly torpedoed the Democratic ticket two years ago.

Another activist, Abbas Alawieh, co-founder of the Uncommitted Movement that protested Biden’s support for Israel, said Harris has been aggressively contacting him as well.

Alawieh bragged on X that he had “multiple phone calls” with Harris and met her in Detroit, claiming he told her about relatives supposedly killed in Gaza by Israeli airstrikes.

He also lectured her that “American tax dollars must never be used to target civilians and destroy entire communities.”

He later encouraged her to side with “peace-loving Americans against endless wars,” language that has become code for demanding Washington abandon Israel.

It is notable that Alawieh’s Michigan district includes Dearborn, where the mayor refused to endorse Harris in 2024 and Rep. Rashida Tlaib also withheld her support.

Michigan Democrats have long been divided over Israel, and Harris appears eager to shift further left to secure any possible votes she can find.

Harris also reportedly reached out to Democratic National Committee member James Zogby, another long standing Palestinian activist.

Clearly, this is not an accident or one off call.

The part the governor forgot to mention is that he conveniently left out inflation from his calculation.

When you factor in the inflation that exploded during Joe Biden’s presidency, Newsom’s so-called economic miracle becomes a lot less miraculous.

In “real dollars,” California’s growth was only about 17.6 percent since 2019, which is actually slightly behind the national average of 17.7 percent.

In other words, the “California boom” is little more than a talking point propped up by fuzzy accounting.

Meanwhile, those “less sophisticated” states the governor likes to sneer at, such as Texas and Florida, would leave California eating their dust if measured with the same phony math standard Newsom used for himself.

Texas’ growth rate under his metric would look like a roaring 55.7 percent, while Florida’s would soar past 65 percent.

If Ron DeSantis tossed his integrity aside and used Newsom’s creative calculator, he could brag about turning the Sunshine State into an economic powerhouse overnight.

Newsom’s video, now circulating on social media, perfectly captures his usual mix of confidence and cluelessness.

With slicked-back hair and the smirk of a man too enamored with his own reflection, he boldly declared, “We have no peers.”

In one sense, that is true.

Nobody lies with more style or delivers economic distortion with such conviction. Even hardened viewers struggled to watch the entire 26-second clip without rolling their eyes.

This is the same governor who presides over a state bleeding residents, businesses, and tax dollars faster than any other in the union.

Tens of thousands of Californians are trading $7 lattes and tent cities for clean streets and sane tax rates in Texas, Florida, and other freedom-friendly states.

You would think a man watching his people flee would have the humility to admit he might be doing something wrong.

But humility and Newsom have never shared the same room.

Let us remember that inflation has ravaged the country during the Biden years..

Prices have gone up around 30 percent across nearly every category, and the dollar has lost around a quarter of its value.

When Newsom brags about growth, he is comparing today’s devalued dollars to pre-inflation dollars as if they mean the same thing.

The only unstoppable thing about California these days is the exodus of taxpayers.

Businesses keep packing up for friendlier states, homeowners keep selling and fleeing, and even Hollywood has shifted big-budget projects to the South and Midwest.

The people voting with their feet are not fooled by slick math presentations and cherry-picked metrics.

So no, this is not Gavin Newsom’s biggest lie ever. It is simply his latest.

The man has built a career on projection and optics while his state crumbles beneath high costs and low trust.

When cornered, he always finds a new way to spin disaster into an accomplishment. But every time inflation creeps higher, every time another store closes in San Francisco, and every time another family moves out, the reality undercuts his narrative.

There is only one thing growing faster than California’s nominal GDP, and that is Gavin Newsom’s ego.

The rest of America is watching what unchecked Democratic leadership does to prosperity, and they are wise to it.

Another ugly scene in liberal Chicago has renewed fears about public safety after three men attacked a CBS News Chicago crew while they were preparing for a live broadcast near Adler Planetarium.

Police say the crew was setting up around 4:30 in the afternoon when a white tow truck rolled up and the men jumped out.

What began as verbal harassment rapidly escalated into open aggression. One of the suspects shouted racial slurs at a cameraman while ordering a dog to attack him.

Thankfully, the dog did not bite, but the intimidation tactics were obvious.

Witnesses reported that the attackers meant business from the start.

“It started racial with the cameraman because he’s an African American male,” one witness told CBS.

The same witness said the confrontation intensified after the cameraman tried to shield himself from the animal.

At that point, the two other men exited their truck and joined the verbal and physical confrontation.

Another witness described what looked like premeditated intimidation, saying, “I think he was trying to, again, intimidate him, make him scared by having the dog approach first.”

When the scare tactic failed, the suspects turned to property destruction instead, smashing the camera and using a traffic cone to shatter the windshield of the news van before fleeing the scene.

Photos later taken by CBS Chicago show a completely destroyed camera, broken glass scattered across the pavement, and police tape stretching across one of the city’s most recognizable tourist areas.

The assault happened in broad daylight, steps from where families and visitors gather, showing just how brazen criminals in Chicago have grown under local leadership that refuses to admit crime is out of control.

CBS News Chicago confirmed their reporter and photographer were shaken but unharmed.

“We are shocked and horrified by this crime and we are grateful that our journalists are safe,” the network said in a statement.

The story did not end at Adler Planetarium.

Police later spotted the same white tow truck involved in the attack miles away in Brighton Park after reports that the suspects inside had threatened several people with a firearm.

The suspects eventually crashed into a police vehicle and attempted to run on foot, but all three were quickly arrested.

Officers found a firearm inside the truck.

The outlet’s archived version of the story flatly stated that “Justice Samuel Alito, who wrote the Supreme Court’s opinion reversing Roe v. Wade, is retiring, the court announced Tuesday.”

Within minutes, the piece disappeared, leaving behind a single line of apology from NPR’s editorial team claiming the piece was published “erroneously.”

Journalists speculated that NPR might have accidentally published what’s called a “pre-write,” a prewritten story drafted for big events such as retirements or deaths.

But that theory didn’t hold up after NPR’s top brass later insisted it had simply been a “misunderstanding.”

Thomas Evans, NPR’s editor in chief, quickly pointed the finger at veteran correspondent Nina Totenberg, who has covered the Supreme Court for over fifty years and just happens to be one of the capital’s longest-tenured liberal reporters.

So, NPR’s most celebrated court reporter says she tanked her own reporting career because she missed the letter “s.”

Totenberg called it “the worst professional mistake of my more than 50 years in journalism.”

This is not Totenberg’s first brush with sloppy courtroom reporting.

Roberts later denied making any such request, leaving NPR red-faced and scrambling to walk back her story.

Some speculated NPR might have accidentally published a pre-approved story under embargo, intended for release if Alito ever did announce his retirement.

Rather than admit deep-rooted bias and professional failure, NPR is treating the ordeal like an honest slipup, as though no one there realizes the gravity of falsely announcing the retirement of a sitting Supreme Court justice.

NPR’s defenders may shrug off the episode, but every false report like this reinforces public distrust in corporate media.

Americans already know the establishment press has little interest in fair reporting, and NPR’s behavior only confirms why so many of us tune them out completely.

Totenberg may insist her ears failed her, but that excuse does nothing to restore credibility lost from a newsroom that routinely blurs the line between activism and journalism.

“On March 19, Sheridan went with friends to the lakefront in Chicago because they hoped they might see the northern lights,” she began, holding back tears.

“She never saw those lights. The man accused of murdering my daughter is Jose Medina, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela who should not have even been in this country.”

Gorman then delivered a line that froze the House chamber.

“The question before this committee is painfully simple. When did protecting our American citizens stop being your first priority? And even more important, why did protecting our American citizens stop being your first priority?”

Her raw plea cut through the usual political theater.

She spoke not as a polished advocate but as a heartbroken mother demanding accountability from a Congress more concerned with political points than public safety.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, Medina, the Venezuelan national accused of murdering Sheridan, illegally crossed the southern border in May 2023 at the start of the Biden administration’s migrant surge.

He was apprehended by Border Patrol but released into the United States pending immigration proceedings, the kind of disastrous catch-and-release policy the Biden team pretends is “humane.”

Later that year, Medina was arrested by Chicago police for shoplifting at Macy’s.

With local authorities refusing to cooperate with federal immigration officers under so-called sanctuary laws, he was again let go, free to walk the streets until he allegedly struck again.

This is what the radical open-borders crowd calls progress.

For parents like Jessica Gorman, that political choice became an unspeakable tragedy.

Her testimony revealed what many Americans already know in their gut, that Washington elites are far more interested in protecting illegal immigrants than their own citizens.

The same Democratic Party that demands endless taxpayer dollars for “migrant services” cannot muster a word of sympathy for Angel Families like Gorman’s.
