Newly released court footage and 911 recordings reveal the terrifying moments that led to the shocking murder of high school athlete Austin Metcalf by fellow student Karmelo Anthony during a Texas track meet.

The crime, captured by surveillance and police body cameras, shows a chilling sequence: a brief argument, a single fatal stab, and the suspect bolting from the scene.

The Collin County Court made the evidence public following Anthony’s conviction for first-degree murder earlier this month.

The release includes multiple surveillance angles, crime scene photos, and the emergency call that documented the frantic attempts to save Metcalf’s life on April 2, 2025, at Memorial High School in Frisco, Texas.

One clip shows Anthony darting out from under the team tent, sprinting through the stands, and across the track after stabbing Metcalf.

Another video captures him casually walking by tents before the confrontation.

Minutes later, body camera footage shows police apprehending a visibly shaken Anthony, who tells officers, “He put his hands on me. I told him not to. He put his hands on me.”

Photographs from prosecutors display a blood-soaked jacket, the knife used in the fatal attack, and bloody bleachers where desperate teammates and an Army veteran tried to stop Metcalf’s bleeding.

The murder weapon, a three-and-a-half-inch folding Ozark Trail multi-tool, was not costly or sophisticated but proved deadly when wielded in anger.

Audio from the 911 call paints a chaotic scene.

A witness tells the operator that an athlete has been stabbed, adding that a veteran is applying pressure to the wound as people scream in the background.

The caller says, “There’s a lot of blood. He’s not breathing,” before reporting that the boy began gasping for air again. In the distance, a man can be heard shouting, “Stay with me, Austin! Fight through, Austin!”

Prosecutors said the stabbing happened after Metcalf and his brother spoke with Anthony at their team’s tent.

Anthony admitted to the stabbing but insisted he acted in self defense, claiming he felt physically threatened.

The jury did not buy it.

They found him guilty and Judge John Roach sentenced him to 35 years in prison.

He will not be eligible for parole until he serves at least half that time.

More images released by the court show Anthony’s hands cuffed behind his back as he sits inside a police vehicle with what looks like blood smeared across his left hand.

Another photo displays the deep chest wound that ended Metcalf’s life, measured by investigators with a forensic ruler.

Judge Roach explained that his decision to release the evidence was rooted in transparency now that the trial has concluded.

“The overwhelming focus on my ruling regarding the media in the courtroom was to protect the process, witnesses, and jury. Now that the trial is over, it is important to provide transparency,” he told Fox News Digital.

Metcalf’s father, Jeff Metcalf, had viewed the video evidence before the trial.

He told Fox News Digital that the footage reveals the truth many refused to accept.

“The video clearly shows the conversation lasted less than 10 seconds. That’s it. There was no four on one,” he said.

“He wasn’t jumped. There was no four on one. He wasn’t surrounded. Look at the video. There’s a shove and there’s a stab, and it’s over and he runs away. That’s it.”

Despite overwhelming evidence and eyewitness testimony, Anthony’s supporters continue to cry foul, claiming bias among jurors.

The outcry has done little to change the facts: an innocent teenager is dead, a convicted killer admitted what he did, and a community is left reeling from senseless violence.

Investigators say Anthony pulled the cheap knife from his backpack during the brief confrontation, plunging it once into Metcalf’s chest before running from the tent.

Police arrested him minutes later after witnesses identified him.

On the bodycam footage, one officer can be heard saying to another, “This is the alleged suspect.”

A voice that seems to be Anthony’s responds off camera, “I know how it goes. I’m not alleged. I did it.”

The case has stirred deep emotions across Collin County, particularly among parents who demand stricter supervision and better safety measures at school events.

Many are asking how a student could bring a knife onto school grounds and use it without detection.

The once powerful activist group GetUp is watching its empire crumble even as it doubles down on political warfare.

The left-wing outfit that used to brag about shaping elections is now staring down financial ruin while launching a fresh attack on One Nation.

Instead of confronting its own internal chaos and cratering donations, GetUp is apparently betting that yet another anti-conservative crusade will save it.

GetUp’s latest stunt was straight out of the activist handbook.

During Senator Pauline Hanson’s National Press Club address this week, protesters interrupted the live event, unfurling a banner that accused her of hypocrisy on worker pay.

The senator, never one to be intimidated, finished her address without flinching.

But while the activists celebrated the disruption online, the liberal political outfit behind it was quietly drowning in red ink.

Financial records obtained by The Australian show GetUp’s funding collapse has been dramatic.

Donations fell from almost 6 million dollars last year to just over 4 million this year.

That figure is a far cry from the 12.4 million dollars the group pulled before the 2019 federal election when it was at the height of its influence.

Cash reserves have nearly vanished.

At the end of June 2025, GetUp was sitting on only 104,427 dollars compared to almost 4 million just three years earlier.

The shrinking wallet has been followed by shrinking staff.

Once employing more than 70 people, the group is now down to roughly a dozen workers after repeated redundancies.

The activist machine that once flooded electorates with glossy campaign ads against conservative MPs has been reduced to a skeleton crew.

Even its top brass are on their way out, with interim chief Paul Ferris announcing he will soon return to Stockholm.

This leadership vacuum is not new.

The group has gone through multiple shakeups since the exit of former chief executive Larissa Baldwin Roberts.

Insiders admit morale is at rock bottom, with staff passing a vote of no confidence in both the chair and deputy chair over the direction of the organization.

None of GetUp’s directors have even managed to survive longer than four years on the board, a clear sign of how much internal turmoil now defines the outfit.

Once a close ally of Labor aligned unions, GetUp has shifted entirely toward far left ideology.

Environmental and social justice activists now dominate leadership, and it shows in their priorities.

Even Labor MPs are over it. As one Labor figure bluntly told The Australian, “They’ve been overrun by activists.”

That kind of comment says plenty about just how far GetUp has drifted from being a serious political player to just another protest club.

Despite the financial freefall, GetUp insists it is ramping up operations again.

The group recently launched what it calls the “Fightback Fund,” which it claims will bankroll research, digital ads, and billboards targeting One Nation supporters.

The irony is hard to miss.

A broke activist network losing donors by the day now wants to fight a populist party that is actually growing in support.

At the heart of its new campaign is a push for sweeping “media reform.”

The plan includes abolishing the Australian Press Council and installing a new authority to “keep the press in line.”

The push is being led by David Sharaz, husband of former Liberal staffer Brittany Higgins.

Sharaz joined GetUp recently and is already spearheading the organization’s flagship crusade against what it calls “media bias.”

GetUp’s eagerness to meddle in elections has not faded either.

The group spent an estimated 600,000 dollars during the Farrer by election trying to stop One Nation candidate David Farley through an advertising blitz.

The campaign flopped.

But that has not stopped GetUp from bragging about taking on Pauline Hanson’s party as it gains ground in national polling.

One Nation did not mince words either.

A party spokesperson blasted GetUp as “Labor’s union funded attack dog against those on the conservative side of politics.”

For years, anyone suggesting a lab leak was derided as a conspiracy theorist while corporate media obediently carried water for Fauci and the political establishment. Now, Gabbard’s release throws a wrench into that narrative.

Former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino sharply disputed claims made by Joe Kent regarding the investigation into Thomas Crooks and the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, accusing Kent of misrepresenting what investigators were told and what evidence was examined.

Bongino addressed Kent’s comments during a lengthy response in which he said he wanted to set the record straight regarding allegations that federal agencies failed to fully investigate potential foreign connections or withheld information from other officials.

“I just want this on the record, in case something happens. This is what happened yesterday,” Bongino said.

Bongino said he had known Kent professionally and had previously worked with him while Kent served in national security roles.

“This was Joe Kent, who was a friend of mine at one point. This is really sad to see the former NCTC National Counterterrorism Center director, I had worked with Joe Kent many times,” Bongino said.

According to Bongino, he personally offered Kent multiple opportunities to receive briefings regarding the investigation.

“I personally showed up at NCTC headquarters and told you I’d give you a full briefing, and your people do not lie,” Bongino said.

Kent, however, argued that questions remained unanswered about Crooks’ digital footprint and possible foreign connections.

“Tucker was talking about in that clip that he came across through an investigative journalist that was working for Tucker. He came across Thomas Crook’s online profile,” Kent said.

Kent said concerns arose because investigators had initially characterized Crooks as having a limited online presence.

“That’s significant, because for quite some time, almost a year, we were told that Crooks was kind of an enigma. He didn’t have much of an online persona,” Kent said.

Kent explained that after returning to government service, he sought access to Crooks’ electronic devices to determine whether any foreign connections existed.

“When I asked the FBI, in my official capacity, when we came back into the administration. I said, ‘Hey, can we get our hands on crooks’ phones, computers, et cetera, because we want to see if there was any foreign linkage,” Kent said.

Kent said he was initially told investigators could not access the devices.

“I was told at the time initially that we couldn’t get into Crooks’ devices,” Kent said.

According to Kent, investigators later reported that they had successfully accessed the devices but found nothing significant.

“And then the FBI came back and said, actually, we got into them, and there’s just nothing there,” Kent said.

Kent argued that intelligence officials should still have been allowed to independently review the material.

“I said, ‘Okay, well, if there’s nothing there, you should still let us see what’s inside them, so that we can determine if there is any foreign nexus here.’ We were, we didn’t get access to them,” Kent said.

Bongino forcefully rejected that account.

“Okay, everything he said there about what he was allowed into and what what he was not allowed into is just completely fabricated bullshit,” Bongino said.

Kent responded, “It’s a data point.”

Bongino said investigators had already reviewed the matters Kent raised and had offered to brief him.

“Of course, it’s a data point. We had already looked at that stuff. I was at NCTC headquarters with him in his conference room,” Bongino said.

“There were multiple witnesses to this, where I told you we’ll brief you on every single question you just brought up, the Norwegian, the devices, the alleged foreign connections,” Bongino added.

Kent also claimed the Department of Homeland Security Inspector General encountered obstacles while investigating the Butler incident.

“The DHS Inspector General started looking into a lot of the details of what took place on the ground, he himself was also blocked,” Kent said.

Bongino disputed that assertion as well.

“The DHS IG office was blocked. They were in my office, in the Deputy Director Conference Room, in the management floor, in JH J Edgar Hoover, the Hoover Building, they actually showed up for a briefing and said no such thing,” Bongino said.

Bongino maintained that all available devices were examined and that investigators found no foreign links connected to Crooks.

“This was all investigated, everything he’s saying, the digital files, all of it. There were no devices we did not look at. We did not find a foreign connection in the phone. We have all the phones in the digital devices,” Bongino said.

He concluded by calling the allegations baseless and accusing critics of advancing a false narrative.

“These allegations are total nonsense,” Bongino said.

“And again, this is something that, if we don’t stop now, it’s going to be my daughter and daughters across the country who are going to be going to public schools wearing burkas, and that’s the kind of stuff that we want to stop,” Gill said.

According to Gill, conservatives should focus on preserving the values and institutions that shaped the country and the society they grew up in.

“We want to recognize that our job is to protect and preserve, conserve as conservatives. We should want to conserve the America that we got to grow up in,” Gill said.

Gill said he believes immigration policy should take into account cultural differences and whether incoming populations share similar views on fundamental civic principles.

“And you do not do that by bringing in cultures who have very different ideas about freedom of speech, religion, separation of church and state, the dignity of women, the role of women in public life,” Gill said.

He added that differing views on social and religious issues can have significant consequences for a society.

“Who have very different conceptions about how Muslims and non-Muslims interact, and those different ideas matter,” Gill said.

Gill argued that debates about immigration and assimilation are ultimately debates about the future character of the country and the values that will guide future generations.

Throughout his remarks, Gill emphasized the importance of protecting what he sees as foundational American principles, including free speech, religious liberty, the separation of church and state, and the role of women in public life. He said those principles should remain central considerations as the nation addresses immigration and cultural issues in the years ahead.

“And that this is a good example of that,” Gill said.

Questions surrounding the finances of California Gov. Gavin Newsom and his wife, Jennifer Newsom, continue to draw attention as federal investigators reportedly examine matters connected to the governor’s financial affairs.

During an interview, Katie Pavlich spoke with journalist Josh Boswell about his investigation into Jennifer Newsom’s charity and the financial questions that led him to examine the organization more closely.

“What made you look into Newsom’s wife in the first place, and what did you find?” Pavlich asked.

Boswell said longstanding questions surrounding the Newsoms’ finances prompted his review.

“Well, there are just always a lot of questions that seem to be swirling around the nuisance, and their finances have been for years, and so I thought, you know, this is a man who clearly is going to be running for president. This is worth looking at, you know, what their finances are, what the shape of them are,” Boswell said.

According to Boswell, his review of Jennifer Newsom’s charitable organization revealed compensation levels that stood out compared with similar nonprofits.

“And so when I had a look at Jennifer Newsom’s charity, I found that she was paying herself since 2012 $3.7 million and this is a lot of money when you look at the amount that the charity brings in, it’s sort of one to 1.7 million a year, and she’s paying up to a third of that to herself and her own company $300,000 a year,” Boswell said.

Boswell said he compared the compensation figures to other charities of similar size and found the payments ranked unusually high.

“Now that is, I did a bit of data analysis, looking at what charities that size usually pay their executives, and she was in the top 5% of all charities in the nation for pay,” Boswell said.

Pavlich then turned to the reported Department of Justice investigation, noting that officials have not publicly discussed specific details.

“So, DOJ, of course, Triton doesn’t comment on the specifics of this, we’ve really only heard from Gavin Newsom claiming this investigation is targeting them, even though, as we mentioned, it started in 2022 in his orbit. Do you think that the charity is the reason DOJ might be investigating her?” Pavlich asked.

Boswell said there are several areas that investigators could potentially examine.

“There’s a whole bunch of reasons, potentially. There are a lot of questions around their finances, so the charity could be one of them,” Boswell said.

He noted that nonprofit executives can legally receive substantial compensation but suggested donor relationships could draw scrutiny.

“Now it is legal for a charity to pay whatever they want to their executives, but one of the issues they might be looking at is who are the donors to the charity that are financing that pay. What kind of relationships do they have with the California government that Newsom is in charge of?” Boswell said.

Boswell also pointed to what he described as discrepancies between reported income and expenses.

“There’s also, if you look at his income, and he’s released at least partly to journalists in closed-door viewing sessions, his tax returns, and if you look at that, his income, it’s about 1.2 to 1.4 million a year, and it just doesn’t add up for all of his expenses,” Boswell said.

He cited mortgage payments and living expenses as examples.

“He’s got massive mortgages, $625,000 in mortgage payments, and he’s got at least a million dollars in living expenses, and the two just don’t add up. I would be interested in that if I were an IRS investigator,” Boswell said.

Boswell also highlighted questions involving a Sacramento property purchase.

“One other thing to look at here is the way that his property transactions are structured lead to a lot of questions. When he bought his $3.7 million Sacramento estate, it was done through an LLC, but that LLC doesn’t seem to have appeared on his tax returns,” Boswell said.

According to Boswell, the structure of the transaction raises additional questions that have yet to be fully addressed.

“There’s all kinds of questions why he would do it that way, and he hasn’t answered those satisfactorily. So, if I’m IRS, I’m looking at that too, thinking maybe there’s an issue here. We’ve yet to see what the actual details are, of course,” Boswell said.

Vice President J.D. Vance said the Trump administration is intensifying its efforts to combat government fraud, arguing that taxpayer dollars have too often been diverted away from their intended purposes and into the hands of bad actors.

Speaking about the administration’s anti-fraud initiative, Vance said the federal government has long struggled with fraud and abuse, a problem he believes has been enabled by elected officials and government leaders.

“Your government, your leadership, and too many, your congressmen have allowed the government to rip you off and give your money to fraudsters,” Vance said.

Vance, who leads the administration’s fraud task force, said identifying fraud is not difficult, though eliminating it remains a major challenge.

“Just yesterday, we announced something. You know, I’m the leader of the fraud task force, and I.. and people ask me, is it hard to find fraud, and I’ll tell them it’s not hard to find fraud in the US federal government. Unfortunately, it’s hard to root it out, it’s hard to fight against it, but it is not hard to find fraud,” Vance said.

As an example, Vance pointed to a recently announced Department of Justice lawsuit involving New York’s Medicaid program.

“Just yesterday we announced a Department of Justice lawsuit against the state Medicaid director of this state?” Vance said.

According to Vance, the lawsuit alleges that a bidding process was manipulated in a way that allowed fraudulent actors to access taxpayer funds.

“So, here’s what the state Medicaid director in New York would do: facilitated fraud by using a sham bidding process. This person was actually inviting fraudulent bidders to come in and take advantage of your tax dollars, so that we could send it to fraudsters instead of you, and that’s disgraceful,” Vance said.

Vance argued that government officials should focus on preventing fraud rather than enabling it.

“You do not want your government facilitating fraud, you want your government fighting against fraud,” Vance said.

Vance also praised Michael Petrie, saying the two share a commitment to protecting taxpayer dollars and improving government accountability.

“And one of the things, and one of the things that I love about Michael Petrie is that he cares about this fraud issue just as much as I do,” Vance said.

Vance described that approach as rooted in a traditional view of government responsibility.

“He happens to believe in an old-fashioned good government concept that when you pay your taxes, it ought to go to the services and the national security needs that it’s meant to go towards,” Vance said.

Vance repeatedly stressed that public funds should serve citizens in need rather than enrich individuals who exploit government programs.

“It shouldn’t go to fraudsters. It shouldn’t go to fraudsters who take advantage of your tax dollars. It shouldn’t go to fraudsters who will literally steal money out of the Medicaid fund in order to enrich themselves. It shouldn’t go to people who would steal food out of the mouths of poor children. It should go to the people who need it,” Vance said.

The vice president also emphasized what he described as the generosity of the American people and their willingness to support those facing hardship.

“One of the things I love about our country, ladies and gentlemen, is that we are generous people,” Vance said.

“When we see a kid who can’t afford food, sometimes my family growing up would benefit from these programs. When we see a kid who can’t afford food, we say, you know what, we’re going to help you. When we see a person who has a treatable illness but can’t afford medical care, you say, you wouldn’t. You know what, we’re going to help you,” Vance said.

Vance argued that fraudsters abuse that generosity by diverting resources intended for vulnerable Americans.

“Whether it’s the Medicaid program or a local charity, you know what these fraudsters are doing. They are taking advantage of American generosity to enrich themselves,” Vance said.

He concluded by saying the administration intends to continue prosecuting those involved in fraud and protecting taxpayer funds.

“And we need somebody who’s going to put them in jail and protect your money, and that’s exactly what we’re doing under the administration,” Vance said.

A senior Labor Department official said the Trump administration is pursuing aggressive anti-fraud measures after what he described as one of the largest thefts of taxpayer money in American history involving unemployment insurance payments distributed during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The comments came during an exchange between Benny Johnson and Deputy Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling, who discussed the scale of unemployment insurance fraud and the administration’s efforts to prevent similar abuses in the future.

“Employment insurance fraud, massive vector of fraud in the country. How are you going to be solving this?” Johnson asked.

Sonderling began by highlighting President Donald Trump’s creation of a federal anti-fraud initiative and Vice President J.D. Vance’s leadership role in the effort.

“Yeah, well, let’s take a step back. And first, we need to thank President Trump for establishing the task force on fraud at the White House and appointing our great Vice President JD Vance to leading it,” Sonderling said.

According to Sonderling, the administration has coordinated efforts across federal agencies to identify fraud and protect taxpayer dollars.

“They’ve put such tremendous efforts across all agencies to really root out fraud and root out fraud, particularly in government programs that gives out your hard-earned taxpayers dollars to individuals,” Sonderling said.

Sonderling said the Labor Department’s focus centers on unemployment insurance programs that expanded dramatically during the pandemic.

“So, the Department of Labor’s role in this is related to unemployment insurance, and with unemployment insurance, we need to take a step back. During COVID, $900 billion was given out to help people get back on their feet, to help people deal with some of the job losses related to COVID,” Sonderling said.

However, he said a significant portion of those funds was lost to fraud during the Biden administration.

“But during the Biden administration, 135 billion of that money was stolen by fraud. So, think about the scale of that. 135 billion is one of the largest taxpayer thefts in history,” Sonderling said.

He described widespread abuse involving payments issued to individuals who did not qualify for benefits.

“And when you look about that, how rampant the fraud was across the country. It was related to paying people who were in prison, who obviously aren’t able to work, paying people who were under 14, three year olds, seven year olds getting unemployment insurance,” Sonderling said.

Sonderling questioned how such payments were able to occur and attributed the problem to inadequate safeguards and oversight.

“And you know, how did that happen? It was a lack of controls, it was states just turning a blind eye and letting this money flow,” Sonderling said.

According to Sonderling, the administration’s anti-fraud task force is now focused on preventing a repeat of those problems by implementing stronger protections throughout the system.

“So, with the Vice President’s task force, it’s really making sure that never happens again,” Sonderling said.

He added that the administration is pursuing substantial reforms aimed at protecting taxpayer funds and strengthening oversight of federal benefit programs.

“And we’re taking some really extraordinary measures to ensure that never happens,” Sonderling said.

Vice President JD Vance came out swinging this week, firing a direct shot at Israeli officials who have been openly critical of President Trump and his Iran memorandum of understanding.

“You don’t have to knock down an apartment house every time you’re looking for somebody because there are a lot of people in those apartment houses, and they’re not all Hezbollah, that I can tell you,” Trump said while condemning the reckless military actions.

Trump added that he was furious when Israel attacked Beirut only two hours before the agreement was set to be signed.

“It wasn’t like in the southern side, and you know, it was in Beirut. I did not like that. I let him know that I didn’t like it, not at all,” he said, noting that this kind of aggression puts everything on the line.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, the media circus was quick to pounce on the Trump administration, feeding talking points that painted the deal as a sellout to Iran and Hezbollah.

Not surprisingly, liberal networks and Israeli outlets sympathetic to Netanyahu went into a frenzy.

One Channel 14 host even hurled an antisemitic insult at Trump’s envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, accusing them of financial betrayal.

It was the sort of cheap media stunt that is par for the course these days.

Even some conservative pundits chimed in with criticism, including Fox News host Mark Levin, who blasted the idea that Israel should stay tied to the deal.

He accused Trump of caving to Iran, missing the bigger picture that Trump’s diplomacy has been strengthening America’s influence, not weakening it.

Vance, however, was not going to let that kind of talk go unchallenged.

Responding to a question from The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson, he made a fiery defense of both Trump and American generosity toward Israel.

A Denver teacher is out of a job after allegedly pushing students into kissing one another during language class skits.

The teacher, 50 year old Jennifer Honka, was formally dismissed after an internal investigation by the district and an independent review found that she pressured female students to engage in same sex kisses as part of graded classroom performances.

The scandal erupted inside Northeast Early College, a school within the Denver Public Schools system, where Honka taught French Language and Culture for eight years.

Known for previously receiving top teaching evaluations, she is now accused of ignoring professional boundaries in pursuit of woke classroom theatrics that made students uncomfortable.

According to the independent review, which CBS Colorado obtained, Honka designed “skits” with kissing scenes and insisted students participate as written.

One student described being “very uncomfortable and did not know what to do,” yet said she went along with the direction and kissed another student.

Those assigned to act out the scenes were almost always of the same sex, raising obvious concerns among parents and colleagues.

Board members voted unanimously to fire Honka during a closed door meeting on May 20.

Their decision was final, with no public debate and no dissenting votes.

The official justification for her dismissal cited “incompetence and neglect of duty,” though the true nature of the case went far beyond paperwork.

The review found that Honka pushed certain themes inside her classroom that had nothing to do with the French language lessons she was supposed to teach.

Students told investigators that Honka often used class time to talk about her LGBTQ activism and identity.

One student said she was given a failing grade when she declined to take part in a kissing scene.

The class assignments themselves carried suggestive titles like “The Neighbors Saw Everything” and “The Boring Kiss,” each containing three separate kiss cues.

A chilling account from one student described a posted rule that read, “The answer is always yes,” a slogan Honka allegedly emphasized repeatedly to steer students toward compliance.

Colleagues were disturbed when multiple students approached them to share what was happening behind Honka’s classroom door.

An English teacher reported that one female student appeared “upset and defeated” after being told she had to kiss three girls during class skits.

It was only after that teacher went to the administration that police and district officials became involved.

Despite the overwhelming number of complaints, Honka tried to defend herself by saying students had “options.”

She claimed she permitted “blowing kisses” or “fist bumps” if pupils were uncomfortable.

Yet multiple students insisted that those so called options never affected grades.

Several stated clearly that refusing to participate resulted in lower scores, creating pressure to go along.

The district referred the incident to police, though investigators have not yet filed criminal charges.

Parents, however, are demanding to know why it took so long for the district to respond and why such inappropriate material found its way into a middle school class in the first place.

Denver Public Schools has provided few details beyond confirming the vote and the firing.

Many parents see this as yet another example of how liberal ideology and activist instruction have replaced solid academics in public education.

Instead of teaching grammar and vocabulary, students were being roped into behavior that would get any adult fired instantly in any other environment.

Classroom activism disguised as “cultural education” has no place in American schools, and conservative parents across the country are taking note.

Adding to the disgust, this is not the first time a teacher has crossed that line.

Only months earlier in Las Vegas, another teacher named Rasheda Rose faced two felony child abuse charges after encouraging middle schoolers to kiss during a classroom game.

The fact that such incidents are becoming more common points to a deeper cultural and moral problem inside public education systems dominated by progressive ideology.

The district appears eager to move past the story, but the community should not. Children are owed real education, not indoctrination.

Parents have every right to demand transparency, accountability, and common sense from public officials.

When teachers forget their role and begin engaging in social experimentation, it is up to school boards to act swiftly.

In this case, the board made the right choice by showing Honka the door, though that decision came far too late to erase what students were subjected to.

It should not take viral news coverage for school systems to recognize boundaries.

The uncomfortable truth is that today’s public schools are becoming ground zero for cultural politics at the expense of children.

Denver’s latest scandal is proof that the trust between parents and public education has been severely tested, and unless schools return to traditional teaching values, it may not recover.
