A Massachusetts judge declared a mistrial Friday in the murder case against Lindsay Clancy after jurors failed to reach a unanimous verdict in the deaths of her three young children.

Justice Dalila Argaez Wendlandt denied the request, allowing Sullivan to formally close the trial without a conviction or an acquittal.

The final days featured a bitter fight over what defense attorneys described as an 11 to 1 split.

Attorney Kevin Reddington accused a lone male juror of refusing to properly follow the court’s reasonable doubt instructions despite allegedly expressing doubt about the prosecution’s case.

Outside the courthouse, Reddington sharply criticized the unidentified juror and said the remaining panel members appeared crushed by the outcome.

“So, I hope that guy can sleep well at night,” he told reporters after the mistrial was declared.

Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz turned attention back toward the victims, 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan.

“It is our job to make sure the victims are not invisible,” Cruz said.

Cruz also spoke about the grief surrounding a case that has devastated an entire family.

“I am a father and a grandfather, and I cannot imagine the hell this entire family has lived through.”

Clancy was charged with first degree murder after her children were strangled with exercise bands inside the family’s Duxbury home in January 2023.

Authorities said her husband, Patrick Clancy, discovered her seriously injured outside after returning from errands.

Investigators found the three children inside the house.

Cora and Dawson died that night, while Callan was transported to a hospital and died several days later from his injuries.

Clancy survived after jumping from a second story window, but her injuries left her paralyzed and using a wheelchair.

The central question at trial was not whether she caused the deaths, but whether she could legally be held criminally responsible for her conduct.

Her attorneys argued that postpartum psychosis and severe mental illness prevented her from understanding the wrongfulness of her actions or controlling her behavior.

Under Massachusetts law, prosecutors were required to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she remained criminally responsible once that defense was properly raised.

Prosecutors countered with evidence they said demonstrated planning, awareness and purposeful conduct before, during and after the killings.

They argued that Clancy deliberately arranged an opportunity to be alone with the children while Patrick left to buy children’s medicine and pick up dinner.

The defense contended that Clancy heard a male voice ordering her to kill the children.

Forensic psychiatrist Dr. Phillip Resnick testified that she described losing control of her own body, saying, “It was almost like she was a puppet, and someone else was pulling the strings.”

Prosecution expert Gregory Saathoff challenged that account as “very unusual.”

He testified that Clancy had never previously reported hearing voices to psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physicians, emergency department workers or staff members at McLean Hospital.

Saathoff also questioned why the alleged voice reportedly stopped after the youngest child was strangled.

Prosecutors presented that detail as another reason jurors should reject the defense account and find that Clancy acted with conscious intent.

Jurors heard extensive testimony about Clancy’s anxiety, depression, insomnia, psychiatric treatment and prescription medications before the killings.

Family members said they had become deeply concerned about her condition during the closing months of 2022, though they also described her as a nurturing mother.

In one October 2022 message to her mother, Clancy pleaded for someone to stay with her because she felt sick, frightened and unable to face the day alone.

The defense used those communications to argue that her psychiatric decline had been visible months before the children died.

The mistrial leaves prosecutors free to bring the case before another jury.

Cruz has not yet announced whether his office will pursue a second trial, but Sullivan said he wants the case retried “sooner rather than later.”

Clancy is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 29 for a status hearing, possible trial assignment and consideration of a defense Rule 25 motion.

For now, the case remains unresolved, and three murdered children remain at the center of a courtroom battle that produced no final verdict.

Flight 618 was traveling from Dallas to Newark when chaos erupted at roughly 10:15 p.m., according to the report.

The man reportedly launched into a heated religious rant aimed at his seatmate, with the fire and brimstone performance quickly spiraling into slurs and physical aggression.

A Black flight attendant stepped in as the confrontation worsened, only to become another target of the passenger’s abuse.

The man allegedly directed a vile racial slur and anti gay insults at the attendant, displaying the sort of cabin conduct that makes ordinary bad manners look downright civilized.

Video recorded inside the cabin showed the disruptive traveler strapped tightly to his seat after passengers and crew finally brought the mayhem under control.

His hands, head, and torso appeared restrained, leaving him looking more like a wrapped package than a functioning airline customer.

The confrontation reportedly became physical before the man was subdued.

He allegedly struck his seatmate and smashed the person’s computer, adding property damage and assaultive behavior to an already disgraceful display thousands of feet above the ground.

A female passenger tried to assist the person seated beside the unruly man, but the aggressor allegedly shoved her backward.

That proved to be enough for three male passengers, who moved in and helped contain him using duct tape and zip ties.

WATCH:

Those passengers deserve credit for acting when the situation became dangerous, rather than standing around and recording another spectacle for social media.

Air travelers should not need to moonlight as security personnel, but this crew and cabin clearly had little time for debate.

American Airlines told The Post that the flight was rerouted to Baltimore “due to a disruptive customer.”

The carrier also said that after the aircraft arrived, “law enforcement met the aircraft and assisted with deplaning the customer before the flight continued to its destination.”

Once officers removed the restrained passenger, Flight 618 was able to resume its trip to Newark.

The diversion still forced everyone else aboard to endure delays and disruption because one grown man apparently could not meet the basic standard of sitting down and behaving himself.

The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that the episode is now under investigation.

The agency also reported that there have been more than “1,160 unruly passenger incidents so far in 2026.”

That figure offers a grim reminder that cabin disturbances are hardly isolated events.

Crews are expected to handle safety procedures, medical emergencies, and difficult travel conditions, yet they are increasingly forced to deal with passengers who treat commercial aircraft like personal combat arenas.

An FBI spokesperson said Maryland Transportation Police arrested the man and booked him on state charges.

Federal investigators are also working with the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland to decide whether the conduct warrants federal prosecution.

“The FBI is currently conducting interviews to gather the facts and will consult with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland to determine if federal charges will be filed,” the bureau said.

Investigators will likely examine witness accounts, cabin footage, and the reported physical attacks.

The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland declined a request for comment.

Maryland Transportation Police also did not immediately respond to a request seeking additional information about the arrest or the specific state charges filed.

For the other passengers, the episode was an ugly reminder that one person’s tantrum can hijack an entire flight and place innocent people at risk.

A California college student is earning well-deserved praise after springing into action during a frightening disturbance at an In-N-Out restaurant.

Instead of recording the chaos from a comfortable distance, he entered the restaurant and confronted a woman allegedly threatening workers with a sharpened wooden stick.

Twenty year old Luca Opperman was waiting for his food at the Lake Elsinore location early Wednesday morning when loud banging erupted inside.

According to KTLA, he looked through the window and saw a 53 year old woman striking the counter with a large branch shaped object.

The wooden stick had broken at one end, creating a jagged point that Opperman believed could cause serious harm.

Employees reportedly retreated into a back room as the woman continued smashing property and creating panic throughout the restaurant.

Plenty of people might have locked their vehicle doors, pulled out a phone, and waited for someone else to handle the danger.

Opperman chose a much different course, proving that courage still exists when ordinary people refuse to remain spectators.

He jumped from his vehicle and launched himself feet first through the drive through window.

Witnesses compared the athletic maneuver to something from an action movie, with one describing it as a “Jackie Chan move.”

That remarkable entrance was not simply blind luck.

Opperman is a college student, former parkour instructor, and freestyle trampolining participant, a background that apparently prepared him for one of the wildest restaurant rescues imaginable.

After landing in the kitchen, Opperman searched for anything that could serve as a defensive tool.

The first useful object he spotted was a metal spatula, hardly standard security equipment, but apparently good enough when courage is doing most of the work.

“I’m holding the spatula, wielding my spatula and yelling at her, ‘Get out of here! Get out of here!’” Opperman recalled.

The bizarre confrontation placed a college student armed with kitchen equipment against a woman allegedly swinging a pointed wooden stick.

The woman reportedly continued swinging the object toward Opperman rather than following his command to leave.

He then lowered his shoulder, rushed forward, and wrestled the stick away from her before anyone was injured.

A witness said the rampage began because the woman believed her food was taking too long to prepare.

Imagine allegedly terrorizing restaurant employees over a delayed hamburger, only to have a young man fly through the window and deliver spatula justice.

Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies later found the woman outside the restaurant and detained her without further incident.

Authorities identified the suspect as Antonieta Sanchez, 53, of Redlands, according to reporting from the Los Angeles Times.

Sanchez was booked into the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of felony vandalism and brandishing a weapon.

No injuries were reported, an outcome that appears especially fortunate given the jagged stick and the employees trapped inside during the disturbance.

In N Out Chief Operating Officer Denny Warnick praised Opperman for his quick thinking and selfless response.

Warnick said the company had personally thanked the student for stepping forward when its workers were facing an unpredictable and potentially dangerous situation.

The episode offers a refreshing reminder that real bravery rarely arrives with a camera crew, a rehearsed speech, or permission from some committee.

Sometimes it arrives through a drive through window, feet first, with a metal spatula in hand and no patience for violent nonsense.

Opperman could have waited for law enforcement while the employees remained in danger, and few would have blamed him for making that safer choice.

Roughly 900 separate donations reflect repeated political participation from someone entrusted with applying the law without the appearance of partisan preference.

Judges are expected to protect confidence in the courts, particularly when politically charged disputes land before them.

The case reached the state Supreme Court, which issued its disciplinary order in July.

Jebreal made the remark while appearing on leftist commentator Wajahat Ali’s podcast, “The Left Hook.”

The discussion centered on Jeffries, a New York Democrat, his support for Israel, and his relationship with the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee.

The journalist began by invoking the meaning of Jeffries’ first name before accusing him of dividing people.

“His name is Hakeem. ‘Hakeem’ is an Arabic name which means ‘healer.’ He’s not a healer; he’s a divider,” Jebreal raged.

Her rhetoric then took a far uglier turn. “He is a bought and paid by AIPAC monkey,” she declared while accusing the House Democratic leader of carrying out the organization’s wishes.

Jebreal immediately insisted that she did not mean the insult in a racist fashion, as though a disclaimer could magically erase the words that had just left her mouth.

She continued her attack by saying, “He is just basically an errand boy, and we’re done and tired.”

Ali recognized the obvious problem with using that term against a Black man.

He noted that the word has “terrible racial connotations … but I think you caught yourself and said you didn’t mean it with any racial animosity.”

Rather than plainly retracting the comment, Jebreal offered an explanation involving the familiar image of three monkeys who cannot hear, see, or speak.

That clarification failed to persuade critics who saw the remark as a straightforward racial insult wrapped in activist outrage.

The Congressional Black Caucus quickly rejected Jebreal’s excuse.

The group said there was no acceptable or nonracist way to call Jeffries, a Black man, either a monkey or an errand boy.

The caucus also criticized Ali for allowing such rhetoric to appear on his platform.

In its statement, the group warned that weak standards for public discourse create an environment where “people get comfortable being openly bigoted.”

Members of the caucus called for an end to promoting and spreading racism against Black Americans, regardless of whether it comes from the political right or the left.

That last part is likely to make some progressive activists squirm, since ideological allies do not usually receive equal scrutiny.

Representative Ritchie Torres, another New York Democrat and a vocal supporter of Israel, delivered an equally blunt response. “calling a Black man a ‘monkey’ is racist. Full stop,” Torres wrote on X.

Torres also pointed directly at the ideological double standard surrounding the episode.

“If Wajahat Ali and Rula Jebreal were on the far right, no one on the far left would have any trouble condemning them for dehumanizing a Black man in racist terms,” he wrote.

“The silence is deafening,” Torres added.

His criticism highlighted how quickly some progressive voices denounce offensive rhetoric from conservatives, only to discover nuance, context, and convenient confusion when the offender emerges from their own political camp.

Jebreal later posted what amounted to a backhanded apology on X, beginning with another attack on Jeffries and AIPAC.

“I am disgusted and horrified that Hakeem Jeffries is taking money from AIPAC amidst Israel’s genocide in Palestine,” she wrote.

She then acknowledged that her language crossed the line.

“That said, a term that I used to describe him was inappropriate and offensive and should never have been used.”

The statement stopped short of offering Jeffries a direct and unqualified apology, instead preserving the political accusation that fueled the original rant.

It was the familiar progressive formula of expressing regret for wording while loudly reaffirming the grievance behind it.

Jeffries’ office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The controversy nevertheless left Democratic lawmakers confronting a familiar problem, inflammatory rhetoric from the activist left that becomes harder to excuse once it targets one of their own leaders.

It also gives Republicans another clear view of a Democratic Party being pulled leftward by activists hostile to Israel.

That internal rebellion has grown into a serious problem ahead of the midterm elections, with Democratic Socialists and other far left groups targeting Democrats they consider insufficiently critical of Israel.

The purity tests are getting nastier, and the party leadership looks increasingly unable to contain them.

California congressional candidate Scott Wiener, a gay Jewish Democrat, recently said he was driven from a march supporting transgender rights because he defended Israel’s sovereignty.

Wiener told CNN that people in the crowd invoked his “Israeli handlers,” language rooted in one of the oldest antisemitic smears.

The same split landed on the House floor when Rep. Josh Gottheimer of New Jersey helped lead the bill even as Jeffries and his top deputies opposed it.

Gottheimer’s stance put him among a small bloc of Democrats willing to confront the boycott movement directly.

Gottheimer said, “The goal of the BDS movement is the destruction of the democratic State of Israel, America’s critical ally in the global fight against terror.

BDS has no place on college campuses or anywhere in our country.

At a time when our Jewish students are facing death threats, being physically assaulted, and blocked from going to class simply for who they are, we must do everything possible to ensure they can learn safely, speak freely, and get the education they deserve.”

Progressives lined up against the proposal, including Rep. Jerry Nadler of New York, who said he opposes the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement.

Nadler nevertheless argued that protecting constitutional speech must include views he considers foolish and morally offensive.

“The First Amendment right to free speech does not apply only to agreeable speech. No matter how much I may disagree with BDS, and find it strategically stupid and morally repugnant, I will always fight to protect Americans’ right to speech with which I disagree,” Nadler said in a statement.

House Rules Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx of North Carolina defended the legislation as a response to campus policies that marginalize Jewish students.

She argued that the government has a duty to protect equal rights when federally supported schools permit discriminatory and hostile environments to take root.

“They are discriminating against people of the Jewish faith,” Foxx said. “Now is not the time for talk. It is the time for action.”

Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan offered the progressive counterattack, asserting that Jewish students are often leaders in campus BDS campaigns.

Her remarks went far beyond a narrow constitutional objection and instead accused supporters of the bill of shielding Israel from moral accountability.

“This is an attack on free speech and academic freedom, all in the name of defending a genocidal apartheid state,” Tlaib said.

“A vote for this bill is a betrayal of those promising young students…because they want to save lives, no matter their faith or ethnicity.”

The vote left Jeffries firmly aligned with the party majority, but 33 Democrats refused to follow him into opposition.

For Republicans, the result was both a legislative victory and fresh evidence that the Democratic coalition remains badly fractured whenever Israel and the radical left collide.

The Senate candidate’s fixation has become a political spectacle, and the Vance family clearly has no intention of pretending the behavior is normal.

The attacks have looked less like serious policy criticism and more like schoolyard needling aimed at a spouse and children.

That is a strange lane for a man seeking an open Senate seat, especially when voters might reasonably expect him to discuss Michigan and the issues facing its families.

JD Vance has already answered sharply, describing El Sayed as “a very, very evil” person and warning him to “keep my wife’s name the hell outta your mouth.”

Usha Vance responded differently, speaking with warmth about her husband’s relatives and emphasizing how deeply she loves the family they have built.

Now Beverly Vance Aikins, the vice president’s mother, has joined the fight, and she sounds considerably less interested in polite restraint.

During a Wednesday appearance on the Fox Nation program Tomi Lahren is Fearless, Aikins was asked about the Democrat’s repeated focus on her son’s home life.

El Sayed previously invoked Usha and the Vance children while attacking the vice president.

On an April podcast, he called the children “brown kids” and suggested they could eventually confront their father about his political views, a comment that predictably landed with all the grace of a brick through a window.

Aikins did not bother dressing up her reaction in consultant approved language.

“I think that man’s an idiot,” she told Lahren, before adding the simple reminder that explains why a grandmother would bristle at a politician dragging children into campaign rhetoric: “Those are my babies.”

Her defense also extended directly to the second lady.

Aikins said, “I love Usha as if she were my own daughter,” making clear that attacks against Usha are not some abstract political game to the family members who know and cherish her.

Aikins then offered a blunt explanation for El Sayed’s preoccupation.

Her son is 42, serves as vice president, has “a beautiful wife” and four children, she observed, before concluding, “Jealousy is the only thing I can think of,” a diagnosis many Americans may find difficult to dismiss.

Asked whether the rhetoric made her angry, Aikins answered without hesitation.

“It makes me mad, honestly,” she said, while noting that El Sayed does not know JD Vance and has no real basis for judging his character as a husband or father.

Then came the line that mothers and grandmothers everywhere immediately understood.

“I’m not gonna do anything about it,” Aikins said, before continuing, “I mean, you know, I’d probably punch the guy if I’d ever seen him, and then that would get me in trouble.”

That was not a threat dressed up as policy.

It was a protective mother speaking plainly after watching a political candidate use her daughter in law and grandchildren as props, and the honesty was far more relatable than the usual fog of focus group talking points.

El Sayed has since tried to present himself as the restrained party, telling CNN that “he’d rather not talk about spouses at all.”

That claim would carry more weight if his own record did not include repeated references to another candidate’s wife and children, but consistency is apparently optional in campaign season.

“Look, I’d rather not talk about spouses at all,” El Sayed said.

“The truth of the matter is that Donald Trump, almost as soon as I was nominated, tweeted a picture of me and my wife relative to him and his wife, trying to highlight the fact that my wife wears a hijab, as if to make an argument that that’s somehow less American.”

His complaint about Trump does not erase his own choices.

If El Sayed genuinely wants spouses and children left outside the political scrum, the solution is remarkably easy: he can stop talking about the Vance family and start explaining what he would actually do for Michigan.

Until then, voters are free to view the sudden plea for boundaries as convenient damage control.

Aikins cut through that performance with the kind of plainspoken loyalty Washington rarely understands, and her message was unmistakable: leave her family alone, or at least do not expect Grandma to smile through the nonsense.

Fox News offered viewers little more than polished corporate fog when it announced that Maria Bartiromo was leaving after more than 12 years with the network.

New reporting now suggests her departure was not voluntary and was tied directly to a politically explosive election story.

“Effective today, Maria Bartiromo is no longer with Fox News Media,” the network said.

“We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 1/2 years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.”

That carefully scrubbed statement avoided explaining what happened, which naturally raised questions about what Fox executives preferred to keep behind the curtain.

Corporate farewell language rarely gets that vague unless lawyers, executives, or both are hovering nearby.

Dylan Byers of Puck News reported that Bartiromo wanted to investigate claims involving China and the 2020 presidential election.

The subject was reportedly considered especially sensitive because of the Dominion and Smartmatic lawsuits that have already created serious legal exposure for Fox.

“NEW: The Maria Bartiromo backstory, per multiple sources familiar…. Maria Bartiromo wanted to pursue a story related to China and 2020 election voting conspiracies… a major sensitivity for the network given its Dominion and Smartmatic lawsuits.”

Byers also reported that Fox fired Bartiromo on August 9 and that she retained prominent attorney Bryan Freedman.

Hiring a lawyer of that caliber certainly suggests this departure may involve more than a friendly disagreement over programming choices.

The dispute reportedly centered on claims President Donald Trump presented concerning Chinese involvement in the 2020 election.

Trump argued that China compromised voting machines, bribed American journalists, and operated a fraudulent ballot scheme intended to increase Joe Biden’s vote total.

Trump also alleged that the intelligence community possessed evidence before the election that interference was coming and later obtained proof that it occurred.

According to Trump, officials buried both sets of information rather than exposing what they knew to the American public.

Fox executives apparently had a much narrower vision for covering those allegations.

The network reportedly circulated written guidance directing senior employees to move coverage away from Trump’s claims, and most employees complied with the instruction.

Bartiromo reportedly did not simply shrug and move on when Trump or a White House aide asked why Fox was avoiding the story.

She allegedly explained that network leadership had blocked the coverage and forwarded an internal text message that supported her account.

According to Status, sharing that confidential message violated the terms of Bartiromo’s employment agreement.

Fox may point to contractual obligations, but viewers will reasonably wonder why the network was so determined to discourage scrutiny of claims involving China and the election.

The episode lands in the middle of a broader debate that Democrats and their media allies have spent years trying to shut down.

Questions about the 2020 election were treated as forbidden, even though Democrats openly disputed George W. Bush’s 2000 victory and Trump’s 2016 victory.

Republicans who questioned irregularities in key battleground states were branded enemies of democracy.

The approved media script declared 2020 the safest and most secure election in history, and anyone requesting closer examination was accused of threatening the republic.

The double standard becomes even more obvious because the Biden administration itself acknowledged foreign interference in the 2020 election.

Conveniently, the interference Democrats were willing to discuss was interference allegedly intended to benefit Trump, not Biden.

“The Biden administration targeted Russia with sweeping sanctions and diplomatic expulsions Thursday, punishing Moscow for its interference in the 2020 US election, its SolarWinds cyberattack and its ongoing occupation and ‘severe human rights abuses’ in Crimea,” CNN reported at the time.

The claim that Vladimir Putin was eager to help Trump was repeated endlessly, despite the lack of persuasive public evidence explaining why that relationship would make strategic sense.

China potentially preferring Biden, however, was treated by much of the press as a dangerous subject unworthy of serious investigation.

Fox has every right to protect confidential communications and consider legal risks, especially after expensive litigation.

Yet if Bartiromo was fired for resisting an internal effort to suppress a legitimate line of inquiry, the network will face difficult questions from the conservative audience that built its success.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris is trying to put a brave face on an uncomfortable political reality.

Democrats fighting for survival in red states and competitive districts increasingly view their former presidential nominee as baggage, not a campaign asset.

MS Now host Peter Alexander confronted Harris Thursday with a Politico headline reporting that red state Democrats want her to keep away from their midterm races.

The concern is simple: Her presence could remind voters why they rejected the Democratic ticket.

Alexander asked Harris how she viewed candidates distancing themselves from her in states President Donald Trump carried.

Harris answered, “Listen, Peter, we need to win, OK? Bottom line, we need to win.”

She then pointed to her experience running for local, statewide, and national office.

“I have run locally, I’ve run for statewide office and, obviously, nationally. And these candidates know what they need to do to win, and I would expect nothing less.”

That was a polished way of acknowledging that some Democrats believe winning requires keeping Harris outside the camera frame. Her response attempted to sound supportive, although the underlying message from vulnerable candidates was hardly flattering.

Harris continued, “I look forward to being on the trail and helping folks where I can be helpful, but we have got to put a check on this lawless administration and deliver what Americans need and deserve.”

She added, “Lower costs, affordable healthcare, affordable childcare, you name it. So, I support them in doing whatever they need to do to win.”

The answer lets Harris claim party loyalty while avoiding a public feud with candidates who consider her politically radioactive.

It also leaves her available for friendly districts, fundraising events, and carefully selected appearances where her national profile may do less damage.

Questions about another presidential campaign are already following Harris, despite her decisive 2024 defeat.

Asked whether she would campaign in 2028 as a candidate, she replied, “I’m focused on ’26,” before adding, “’28 doesn’t matter if we don’t win ’26.'”

The Politico report described rejection from several corners of the Democratic map.

Two prominent Iowa Democrats reportedly said they did not want Harris campaigning for them, while Alaska’s Democratic Senate nominee rejected a fundraising solicitation Harris sent for her campaign.

Democrat Rebecca Cooke, who is challenging Republican Representative Derrick Van Orden in western Wisconsin, emphasized that she received 9,000 more votes than Harris in 2024.

Cooke said she could build relationships with voters, including Republicans, without relying on national Democratic figures.

That declaration cuts directly against the image Harris is trying to preserve.

If congressional candidates believe they perform better without the former vice president, her possible future as a national party leader becomes much harder to sell.

Democratic consultant Julian Epstein said the episode reflects a party still struggling with division and poor self awareness.

Swing voters remain essential in competitive elections, yet the Democratic establishment continues promoting policies and personalities that many of those voters have already rejected.

Epstein offered a blunt assessment: “Moderate Democrats don’t want Kamala because they think she’s an empty suit who can’t answer tough questions. They also think she’s way too far left.”

He also criticized the party’s instinct to answer voter concerns by promising more government spending.

“When confronted, Democrats have this reflex of deflecting, saying what’s really important is doubling down on a bloated welfare state, the same welfare state expansionism that failed us during the Biden years.”

Former Republican National Committee spokesperson Elizabeth Pipko called Harris’ response weak and awkward, especially as Harris publicly toys with another presidential campaign.

Democrats asking a former vice president to remain away from their races is hardly a ringing endorsement of her political future.

Pipko noted that Harris dropped out of the 2020 Democratic presidential primary before voters cast a single ballot.

She later became Joe Biden’s running mate after he pledged to choose a woman, then inherited the 2024 nomination after Biden abandoned his campaign.

As Pipko put it, “Kamala Harris was never chosen by the American public to represent them nationally.

She was picked by Joe Biden in 2020 after he committed to picking a woman as his vice president.”

Harris says she supports Democrats doing whatever is necessary to win.

For some candidates, that apparently means smiling politely, declining her help, and hoping voters forget the party once tried to place her in the Oval Office.
