Three civilian aircraft violated restricted airspace over Palm Beach, Florida, near President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, prompting North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) to scramble F-16 fighter jets, according to Newsmax host Todd Starnes.
The incidents occurred at 11:05 a.m., 12:10 p.m., and 12:50 p.m., based on Starnes’ reporting.
During two of the interceptions, the fighter jets deployed flares as part of their protocol to warn and direct the civilian aircraft. All three planes were escorted safely out of the restricted airspace.
