Rand Paul Warns Denver Mayor: Defying Trump’s Deportation Efforts Is “A Form of Insurrection”

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has warned that Denver Mayor Mike Johnston’s open defiance of President Donald Trump‘s deportation plans could result in his removal from office.

During an appearance on Face the Nation, Paul expressed support for Trump’s plans to deport murderers and rapists back to their home country, despite warnings against the optics of using the military to do so.

“You know, I’m 100% supportive of going after the 15,000 murderers, the 13,000 sexual assault perpetrators, rapists—let’s send them on their way to prison or back home to another prison,” Paul asserted.

“We’ve had a long-standing distrust of putting the Army into our streets,” Paul explained.

“The police understand the Fourth Amendment. They go to judges, get warrants, and ensure specificity. So, I’m for removing these people, but through the normal process of domestic policing.”

Paul described the Mayor’s actions as a “form of insurrection,” which could have legal consequences.

“The mayor of Denver, if he’s going to resist federal law, which is a long-standing history of the supremacy of federal law, if he’s going to resist that, it will go all the way to the Supreme Court,” said Paul.

“I would suspect that he would be removed from office. I don’t know whether or not there’d be a criminal prosecution for someone resisting federal law, but he will lose. People need to realize that what he is offering is a form of insurrection where the states resist the federal government.”

“Most people objected to that and rejected that long ago. So think the Mayor of Denver is on the wrong side of history, and really, I think, will face legal ramifications if he doesn’t obey the federal law,” he added.

Johnston recently vowed to transform Denver into a so-called “fortress of resistance,” declaring his city a sanctuary for illegal immigrants, including those with criminal records.

Johnston’s strategy involves mobilizing Denver police officers to obstruct federal authorities from carrying out Trump’s deportations.

However, Johnston later walked back the remark following severe backlash.

9NEWS Reporter Marc Sallinger asked Johnston about his willingness to participate in civil disobedience against the deportation.

“If I believe that our residents are having their rights violated, if I think things are happening that are illegal or immoral or un-American in our city, I would certainly protest it, and I would expect other residents would do the same,” Johnston said.

The Denver Mayor was also asked about Trump’s border Czar’s recent warning that those obstructing the deportation efforts could face jail time.

“Yeah, I’m not afraid of that. I’m also not seeking that,” Johnston responded.

“I think the goal is we want to be able to negotiate with reasonable people on how to solve hard problems. Republican and Democratic presidents in the past have all tried to find solutions to these problems.’

“President Reagan helped people get access to work so they could stay and support themselves. Biden and Harris worked on restricting entry at the border to close it down. There are a lot of ways to approach this problem. We don’t think it has to come to this.

Antony Blinken Mocked for Holding TDS-Fueled “Cry Sessions” After Trump Victory

Secretary of State Antony Blinken has been receiving a major pummeling online after reports emerged that he held therapy cry sessions for White House employees following President-elect Donald Trump‘s election victory.

The therapy sessions the State Department held for employees dealing with election fallout.

An internal State Department email titled “Managing stress during change” encourages employees to attend a one-hour session to discuss their feelings about the election results.

In other words, White House staff experiencing a major flare ups of TDS symptoms can come and have a group cry together at the expense of the American taxpayer.

“Change is a constant in our lives, but it can often bring about stress and uncertainty,” the email said.

“Join us for an insightful webinar where we delve into effective stress management techniques to help you navigate these challenging times.”

“This session will provide tips and practical strategies for managing stress and maintaining your well being.”

Rep. Darell Issa (R-CA), a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, mocked the sessions, calling them “unacceptable” for the State Department to tolerate this.

“It is disturbing that ostensibly nonpartisan government officials would suffer a personal meltdown over the results of a free and fair election, something the United States champions around the world,” Issa wrote in a letter to Blinken.

“It is unacceptable that the Department accommodates this behavior and subsidizes it with taxpayer dollars.”

“The mental health of our foreign service personnel is important, but the Department has no obligation to indulge and promote the leftist political predilections of its employees and soothe their frayed nerves because of the good-faith votes of—and at the personal expense of—the American taxpayers,” he continued.

Issa took it further: “The mere fact that the Department is hosting these sessions raises significant questions about the willingness of its personnel to implement the lawful policy priorities that the American people elected President Trump to pursue and implement,” the letter said.

“The Trump Administration has a mandate for wholesale change in the foreign policy arena, and if foreign service officers cannot follow through on the American people’s preferences, they should resign and seek a political appointment in the next Democrat administration.”

Detroit Pastor’s Family Still Awaiting Answers on Illegal Immigrant Released After Fatal Crash

Teri Singleton is still waiting for answers. It’s been nearly three weeks since her husband, beloved 72-year-old Detroit-area pastor Stephen Singleton, was struck and killed by an illegal immigrant motorist as he crossed Rochester Road in Rochester Hills. A “gravely injured” Singleton, who was wearing a lighted reflective vest and using a crosswalk at the time, was rushed to the hospital. The illegal immigrant behind the wheel of the 2013 Ford Focus that sent him there was questioned by police, then released. “I had to sit and watch my husband of 53 years die in front of me and then to know that the person who did this is walking around is very difficult to deal with,” Teri Singleton told WJBK.

For several days, the Singleton family was left with little more than time to reflect on the pastor’s dedication to serving his community and others in need. Among the memories are the former medic’s efforts to search for survivors and offer spiritual guidance in New York City in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, mission trips to Africa, and driving supplies to survivors of Hurricane Katrina and a deadly Alabama tornado.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office told WXYZ the driver of the vehicle is an illegal immigrant from Columbia who held a valid foreign driver’s license that’s recognized in Michigan. Officials did not release the immigrant’s name, but said neither speed nor alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash, which occurred in a commercial area with a 45 mph speed limit. U.S. Customs and Border Protection confirmed the 28-year-old driver is in the country illegally, and is now free while awaiting a federal court date, WJBK reports. “He’s dead and they’re walking around,” Teri Singleton said. “That’s bothering me.”

MSNBC Panel Flips Out Over Trump’s “Dangerous” AG Pick Pam Bondi

Just when the liberals over at MSNBC thought they could breathe a sigh of relief following Matt Gaetz’s sudden withdrawal as U.S. attorney general, the news of President-elect Donald Trump‘s new AG pick has them up in arms once again.

During an episode of “The Ari Melber Show” on Thursday, Jason Johnson, an associate professor of politics and journalism at Morgan State University, warned that Trump’s new pick, former Florida attorney general Pam Bondi, is both “effective” and “dangerous.”

“Pam Bondi is exactly what I was saying in the last segment that we should all fear because she’s competent,” Johnson said.

“We may not agree with her ideologically, but she actually knows how to do this job. So if anyone on the Democratic side or anyone who cared about liberty or justice was thinking, well, maybe Matt Gaetz will screw this up and that’ll give us some time.”

“She knows what she’s doing about immigration. Remember, Florida is one of those states that’s been very aggressive about migrants and deportation and moving people to different states and everything else like that,” Johnson said.

Johnson recalled how Bondi fiercely supported Gov. Ron DeSantis’s effort to purge state-funded schools of “woke” curriculum, warning that her stance could be an omen of what’s to come.

“Florida has enacted all sorts of rules and laws to curtail students and what they can do on campuses and finding legal justifications for manipulating education money,’ Johnson added.

“She is a dangerous and effective pick, and that’s, frankly, worse than what we would have got with Matt Gaetz, even with the deplorable moral background that he has,” Johnson said.

President-elect Trump praised Bondi as an effective prosecutor who will “refocus” the Justice Department away from the weaponization of political opponents.

Trump also noted Bondi’s immaculate track record:

I am proud to announce former Attorney General of the Great State of Florida, Pam Bondi, as our next Attorney General of the United States.

Pam was a prosecutor for nearly 20 years, where she was very tough on Violent Criminals, and made the streets safe for Florida Families.

Then, as Florida’s first female Attorney General, she worked to stop the trafficking of deadly drugs, and reduce the tragedy of Fentanyl Overdose Deaths, which have destroyed many families across our Country.

She did such an incredible job, that I asked her to serve on our Opioid and Drug Abuse Commission during my first Term — We saved many lives!

For too long, the partisan Department of Justice has been weaponized against me and other Republicans – Not anymore.

Pam will refocus the DOJ to its intended purpose of fighting Crime, and Making America Safe Again. I have known Pam for many years — She is smart and tough, and is an AMERICA FIRST Fighter, who will do a terrific job as Attorney General!”

Elon Musk Fires Back at British Govt After “Summons” to “Disinformation” Hearing

X owner Elon Musk responded to British MPs declaring they will “summon” him to their parliament to address allegations he is spreading “‘”disinformation.”

An inquiry in the House of Commons is set to investigate the rise of “harmful” AI content, calling for a probe into the “spread of content that can mislead and harm.”

Labour’s select committee chairwoman, MP Chi Onwurah specially called on Musk to explain the “promotion of pure disinformation” on his platform.

Musk was not fazed by the British politician’s remarks, firing back that British MPs “will be summoned to the United States of America to explain their censorship and threats to American citizens.’”

Musk, a staunch critic of the leftwing British government, recently called them out for arresting and even imprisoning citizens for sharing posts and memes following the unrest in the wake of the Southport massacre.

“I don’t think anyone should go to the UK when they’re releasing convicted pedophiles in order to imprison people for social media posts!” Musk said in a recent post.

Musk accused the UK of going “full Stalin” with regards to slapping farmers with fresh taxes that they already cannot afford.

British Prime Minister Kier Starmer was asked to comment on Musk’s tweets but avoided the question.

However, what’s more interesting is that Musk is now more popular with the British public than Starmer, according to a new poll.

The Daily Mail reported: The JL Partners poll, which surveyed 2,024 adults on November 13 and November 14, revealed that Sir Keir is less liked than all the other major political party leaders, including Kemi Badenoch and Ed Davey – who are both on -1 – and Nigel Farage on -10.

Trump FCC Nominee Brendan Carr Will Fight Silicon Valley Censorship

Brendan Carr’s nomination  for Federal Communications Commission chair by President-elect Donald Trump resurfaces old fights over speech, regulation of communications providers, and net neutrality, but with a catch. Carr says he will take the fight to its proper battlefield: Silicon Valley.  The intangible nature of the FCC’s regulation of broadcast airwaves and other means by which Americans communicate — the internet chief among them — obscures from debates over such issues as net neutrality the more serious threats Americans have faced in exercising their rights to free speech. That threat has come in the form of censorship from major tech platforms such as Apple, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, and before Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter, that platform as well.

Those platforms enjoy, functionally, monopolistic dominance, and both massive license and protection from the government that shield platforms from liability for content users publish. That dynamic has crystallized over the past four years as it became apparent major tech platforms  also served as its de facto censorship arm. Carr has already notified tech companies the fight is coming to their door.

The litany of banned content and users being booted from major tech platforms have had grave downstream implications: Facebook’s suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story likely changed the outcome of the 2020 election.  The Covid pandemic spawned a new era of censorship as platforms quelled dissent over lockdowns and vaccine mandates.  Spotify very nearly stands alone among major streaming and publishing platforms in the COVID era for allowing dissenting views on both the origins of the virus and safety of mRNA vaccines in continuing to stream Joe Rogan’s popular podcast, which now dwarfs cable news audiences. Rogan interviewed leading doctors and scientists who questioned dominant Covid narratives.

DOGECast: Vivek Says He And Elon Will Be “Lifting The Curtain” With New Podcast

Vivek Ramaswamy announced a temporary pause of his weekly “Truth” podcast as he shifts his focus to a new collaborative project with Elon Musk.

The initiative, described as a series of “Doge casts,” aims to provide unprecedented transparency into government waste, fraud, and abuse while actively working to address these issues.

Ramaswamy shared the news in a statement, expressing his gratitude to listeners for their support throughout the podcast’s run. “As part of that process, I’m now all in. I’m focused on making sure that we actually accomplish the goal, rather than just talking about it. So to that end, for the next little bit, I’m going to put a pause on the weekly truth podcasts,” he said.

Ramaswamy reflected on the experience of hosting the podcast and the insights he gained along the way. “I’ve enjoyed doing it this year. It’s been incredibly fun and entertaining. I’ve learned from a lot of the guests, and I’ve enjoyed communicating with all of you. We’re going to put that on pause for a little bit,” he added.

The upcoming Doge casts will be a key part of the joint effort between Ramaswamy and Musk, aiming to shed light on the inefficiencies and corruption within government operations. “As you may have heard, Elon and I are going to start a separate track of Doge casts that explain exactly what we’re doing to the public to provide transparency,” Ramaswamy said.

Describing the project as “once in a generation,” Ramaswamy emphasized the importance of bringing the public along in their mission. “We want to bring the public along with us, to lift the curtain, to take us behind the scenes of what actually that waste, fraud, and abuse in government looks like. However bad you think it is, it’s probably worse,” he stated.

Ramaswamy also stressed the proactive nature of the initiative. “But we don’t want to do this to just expose the problem. We want to do it to solve the problem,” he said, underscoring their commitment to actionable solutions.

The first details about the Doge casts will be announced soon, according to Ramaswamy, who acknowledged the urgency of their mission as the January 20 transition date approaches. “We are neck deep right now and transitioning to the new dawn on January 20,” he said.

Ramaswamy concluded with gratitude and optimism, thanking his audience for their engagement with the podcast. “I thank all of you for your journey this year, for joining us. I’ve loved doing the truth, and we’re just going to put it on pause for a little bit to hopefully embark on this new chapter of saving our republic,” he stated. “Stay tuned for further details, and we’ll be in touch.”

Senator John Kennedy Hilariously Wrecks Biden Judicial Nominee With His Own Words

Republican Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana confronted Benjamin J. Cheeks, a nominee for the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, over his past writings on controversial topics during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

Cheeks, currently a U.S. Magistrate Judge and criminal defense attorney, was nominated by President Joe Biden on October 23.

Kennedy questioned Cheeks about his past commentary on topics such as Black Lives Matter and the police.

During the hearing, Kennedy noted that Cheeks claimed earlier to Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois that he avoided taking positions in his writings.

“I see you’re quite a prolific writer and … you said you don’t — you don’t take a position in these articles,” Kennedy stated. Cheeks responded, “I said I tried not to take a position in most of my articles.”

Kennedy then referenced specific articles by Cheeks, including one written in the wake of George Floyd’s death. Quoting from one article, Kennedy read, “‘Needless to say I have a guarded opinion about the police. How do I teach my sons to respect them and fear them at the same time? There can be no question that police officers have some of these same internal or external biases.’” Kennedy emphasized Cheeks’ statement, “There can be no question that police officers, not some police, all police officers have some of these same internal or external biases.”

After reading the quote, Kennedy asked, “Did I read that correctly?” Cheeks confirmed he had.

Kennedy then shifted to a 2018 article in which Cheeks commented on the Trump administration’s “zero tolerance” policy for illegal entry into the United States.

Quoting from the article, Kennedy read, “‘Technically the law was broken, but these particular defendants, poor, hungry, hard-working and not dangerous, deserve a pass from prosecution.’”

Kennedy pressed Cheeks, asking, “Saying that illegal immigration should not be criminalized is a position, is it not?” Cheeks acknowledged that it was, but added, “Everything that I wrote, I wrote while I was an advocate, not a sitting judge.”

Cheeks emphasized that his role as a sitting magistrate judge required impartiality. “I no longer advocate,” he said.

Kennedy questioned Cheeks’ ability to separate his advocacy from his judicial role. “So you’re — so — so you — you don’t tell the truth when you’re an advocate, but you do when you’re not? Is it OK to lie if you’re an advocate?” Kennedy asked. Cheeks replied that he didn’t understand the question.

“I think it’s pretty clear and I think you follow it,” Kennedy said. He concluded the exchange by stating, “You’ve taken a lot of radical positions judge, and you can’t make this cat walk backwards. Now you can’t make this cat walk backwards.”

The View’s Sunny Hostin Forced to Fact Check Herself Due to Legal Action

ABC’s “The View,” co-host and ABC News Senior Legal Correspondent and Analyst Sunny Hostin issued a “legal note” after Attorney General nominee Matt Gaetz issued a statement to the network regarding allegations against him.

During a discussion of the Cabinet picks, Hostin said: “Matt Gaetz has long denied all allegations, calling the claims ‘invented’, and saying in a statement to ABC News that this false smear, following a three-year criminal investigation, should be viewed with great skepticism.”

“The DOJ investigation was closed with no charges being brought.”

We don’t know what was better, the statement or the expression on Hostin’s face.

Watch:

Regardless of what anyone thinks about Gaetz, he is entitled to the presumption of innocence.

It’s worth noting that the FBI and DOJ spent years investigating the allegations against Gatez but never found anything.

Gaetz has long asserted there was a conspiracy against him, and that was proven correct.

In 2021, Stephen Alford was indicted for attempting to extort Gaetz’s father in a scheme related to the sex-trafficking allegations.

“A Florida developer and fraud convict was arrested Tuesday on a charge that he tried to extort $25 million from the father of Rep. Matt Gaetz in exchange for a presidential pardon that would shut down a high-profile, criminal sex-trafficking investigation into the Republican congressman.

Stephen Alford, 62, of Fort Walton Beach, was indicted on charges of wire fraud and destruction of property subject to a seizure warrant.”

The DOJ investigation has now ended, meaning any pointed claims that Gaetz did what Hostin said could be defamatory.

The “The View” legal team obviously realized their mistake and wrote a correction to be read on-air, citing a statement provided by Gaetz.

The best thing about this was that Hostin was visibly upset by having to read it.

Family-Friendly Economic Policies Promised By Sen. Steve Scalise

House Majority leader Steve Scalise joined “Washington Watch with Tony Perkins” shortly after the Nov. election to discuss his projections for the upcoming 119th Congress.

“[W]e’ve got a very unique opportunity with unified government,” Scalise told Perkins. “Doesn’t happen often. … [W]e’re going to make the most of it by going and fighting for those families who are struggling. We ran on a very strong agenda of getting our economy back on track, of securing America’s border, standing up for our allies around the world, getting rid of these crazy regulations, promoting more American energy. We’re going to be focused on doing those things in the first 100 days.” (READ: Trump’s Promises To America: How To Hold Him Accountable)

“When you think about literally starting in January, the first 100 days— delivering on some really big things and getting the economy moving again, lowering costs at the grocery store, at the gas pump — I think you’re going to see this economy turn around quickly. Look, the day after the election, the stock market took off like something we hadn’t seen since 2022, because people are optimistic and excited again, because the Marxists, the communists, were defeated. This direction they were trying to take our country — we couldn’t sustain the spending, the radical policies, the open border, all the things they were doing. And now we’re going to finally have an opportunity to turn around. We’re not going to blow this opportunity,” he continued.

No Tax Increase

“One of the first things we do is make sure we don’t have a tax increase,” Scalise noted. “President Trump was very clear about this. … [W]e will all be on the same page. We don’t have the luxury of spending a few months trying to figure it out. We are going to start bullish on day one with a bold conservative agenda. Keep tax rates low … no taxes on tips and no taxes on overtime.” (READ: YouTube/Google Censors Biden’s Hateful Words Pre-Election)

“Democrats, unfortunately, walked away in 2017 from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Not a single Democrat voted to cut taxes. Of course, it turned our economy around. It was great for the American people, but the Democratic Party just doesn’t believe in giving you more of your money back. We do as Republicans. … [W]e’re going to be working with a small majority, but we’re still going to be a focused majority working with President Trump to deliver some big wins for those hard-working families who are struggling,” he added.

Trump To Clean House?

“Donald Trump’s going to clean house,” Scalise seemed to promise. “He’s going to get rid of all the dirty cops. And it needs to happen because I think people really want … a restored faith, and they deserve a restored faith in these agencies that we used to trust. With law enforcement agencies at the federal level that used to stand for law and order, that started focusing on their political enemies [instead of] keeping Americans safe — that has to change. I think that’s going to be front and center in the things President Trump does when he appoints an attorney general and other people in those positions. It’s going to be critical who he picks, because he’s going to need to bring in tough people who want to clean house.”
