Biden Treasury Secretary Claims National Debt In a “Reasonable Place”

For decades both parties have opted to kick the can down the road indefinitely when it came to the national debt problem, only ever pretending to care about it – but now the Biden-Harris administration is denying that there is one at all.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, who infamously described Bidenflation as “transitory” (and then had to apologize for it) is out with some even more questionable economic arguments.

According to CNBC: “Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the swelling national debt is manageable as long as it stays around where it is relative to the rest of the economy. ‘If the debt is stabilized relative to the size of the economy, we’re in a reasonable place,’ she told CNBC’s Andrew Ross Sorkin. ‘The way I look at it is that we should be looking at the real interest cost of the debt. That’s really what the burden is.'”

The public share of the national debt as a share of GDP is running at about 97% but is expected to soon top 100% at current spending rates. In other words, the national debt is on track to eclipse the size of the entire U.S. economy’s annual output.

Just this fiscal year alone (starting October 1, 2023), interest costs on the national debt have exceeded $600 billion, which is more than the government spent on healthcare of defense, and four times its education expenditures. In the entirety of the 2023 fiscal year, interest costs were $659 billion.

With the exception of the beginning of the pandemic and other years of the Biden presidency, the prior all-time-high for interest spending on the national debt was $468 billion in 1996 (in inflation adjusted 2024 dollars). Nearly 80% of personal income tax revenue is now going towards servicing interest on the national debt.

Yellen touted President Joe Biden’s plans to supposedly manage the situation he exacerbated by biblical proportions. “In the budget the president presented for this coming fiscal year he proposes $3 trillion of deficit reduction over the next decade,” she said. “That’s sufficient to basically keep the debt to income ratio stable, and this interest burden would be stabilized.”

The budget deficit for 2024 is running at $1.2 trillion with four months left in the fiscal year. In 2023, the shortfall totaled $1.7 trillion.

Hilariously, Biden has claimed to reduce the deficit.

While you probably don’t need to be reminded; anytime anyone hears the words “Biden” and “deficit reduction” they should be skeptical. Two years into the Biden presidency the national debt has surged by $4 trillion – yet if you listened to Biden you’d be believing that it went down by $1.7 trillion, a bogus claim he’s repeated on numerous occasions.

There is an appearance of truth to the claim if one doesn’t dive deeper into the figures; the budget deficit fell from $2.8 trillion to $1.4 trillion from fiscal year 2021-2022 for instance, accounting for most of the claimed $1.7 trillion reduction. However, in that same time period there was a $1.45 trillion drop in spending (104% of the deficit reduction) due to COVID programs either shrinking or expiring. And those are programs that would shrink or expire even if Trump were still in office, so it’s hardly anything Biden can take credit for, as he didn’t actually do anything.

Similarly, the Biden administration has pointed to the deficit of $2.8 trillion in fiscal year 2021 as being $360 billion lower than the $3.1 trillion deficit in Trump’s last year in office. But again, the deficit was supposed to decline by more if Biden had done nothing. The Congressional Budget Office estimated the deficit would’ve declined by $870 billion if the Biden administration didn’t implement any new policies and Trump’s remained in place. Or in other words, Biden contributed a disguised net $510 billion to the deficit that year.

Every single time the Biden administration has made claims about reducing the debt or deficit they’ve been lying with statistics – and it seems unlikely they’d start telling the truth now.

British Justice Secretary Promises 500 Prison Spaces for Right-Wing Protesters Despite Previous Overcrowding Fears

Speaking from experience, the United Kingdom is a desperate place at the moment.

The hope and optimism after the election of a new Labour government on July 4 has quickly faded away. Just one month after the polls closed, the country has witnessed riots not seen on British streets for 13 years.

It’s sad, more than anything else. Few people watch the news to become so infuriated that they decide to take their anger out on a pastry shop. Instead, they are saddened that the actions of politicians and the mainstream media has fueled the fan of frustrations among vocal minorities on either side of the political spectrum.

Just days after his electoral victory, Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced plans to release prisoners 40% of the way through their sentence (assuming, of course, they were eligible for parole). He deemed this to be a necessary step given “overcrowding” within the British prison system.

Yet, as the political elite have changed to a “tough on crime” stance to bring an end to the protests against mass immigration and migrant crime, prison spaces are suddenly becoming available.

On social media, Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood shared a Guadian article stating an extra 500 prison places would become available to accommodate convicted rioters.

The political approach of finding solutions only in times of exceptional – or selective demand is incredibly frustrating. It only raises questions as to why reducing minimum prison sentences, thus potentially releasing murderers, rapists, and pedophiles early, was initially prioritized over creating additional prison spaces.

Of course, threats from politicians can only infuriate further. It’s a dangerous route…

…one which some will deem Orwellian.

The Guardian Newspaper Says “Two-Tier Policing” Is a Myth Following Years of Making That Exact Claim

The riots in the United Kingdom have brought the concept of two-tier policing into the limelight once again as the government seems more concerned in targeting those protesting against the consequences of mass immigration than actual criminals.

As we reported earlier, U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has promised a crackdown on rioters with “standing armies” of police officers and 24-hour turnarounds in the courts. His focus, however, on right-wing rioters has leant itself to the nickname “two-tier Keir.”

When it was Brits rioting over the death of George Floyd, a man who didn’t even live on the same continent as them, Starmer said “Like you, I was shocked and angered at the killing of George Floyd, and the response of President Trump and the US authorities to the peaceful protesters, to people rightly demanding justice, has been an affront to humanity. This week has shined a spotlight on the racism, discrimination and the injustice experienced by those from black and minority ethnic communities in the US, the UK, and across the world. Martin Luther King said ‘injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

Yet when it was Brits protesting the violent consequences of mass migration, he sung a completely different tune, stating; “I utterly condemn the far-right thuggery we’ve seen this weekend. Be in no doubt, those that have participated in this violence will face the full force of the law. The police will be making arrests. Individuals will be held on remand, charges will follow, and convictions will follow. I guarantee you will regret taking part in this disorder, whether directly, or those whipping up this action online and then running away themselves. This is not a protest, it is organized, violent thuggery, and it has no place on our streets or online.

One of the U.K.’s most left-wing newspapers, the Guardian, recently published an article in which claimed this “two-tier policing” against right-wing protesters was a “myth.” Thanks to the power of X, the article was soon “community noted” with articles from their own publication arguing that there’s two-tiered policing in the world.

“The Guardian have [sic] been telling people about two-tier policing based on race and sexuality for decades,” the note said.

One article included in the note, from January 2024, reported claims by a senior figure that policing was “institutionally racist” in the UK.

Another article from a month prior noted a study which “supports the idea that the patterns of ethnic disproportionality evident in the UK Home Office statistics cannot be explained solely or even primarily at the level of individual officer behavior or psychology because they are an outcome of an interaction between structural and institutional racism.”

A third article discusses a 300-page report claiming to find institutional misogyny, racism and homophobia persist within the London Metropolitan police.

In other words, they’re fine with the concept of two-tiered policing, but only when they can try to claim it’s in a way that serves their political ideology.

Others questioned the reliability of using the Guardian as a source.

Former Harry Potter Fan And Leftist Posts Best Self-Own You’ll See This Week

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has become the anti-Christ to the far left since advocating her support for women’s rights.

A vocal critic of transgenderism, Rowling has long defended the right for women to enjoy freedoms and liberties without men “identifying” as women interfering.

It’s quite obvious that those who have taken issue with her common sense stances aren’t the most normal bunch.

Earlier this week, one Twitter/X user took to the platform to celebrate completely blacking out a series of Harry Potter tattoos she got when she was younger, citing Rowling’s views on trans issues as the catalyst. “After years spent finding the perfect artist, scheduling session after session, and spending thousands of dollars, my Harry Potter sleeve is finally completely blacked out,” she wrote. Adding “fuck JK Rowling and every transphobe and TERF [trans-exclusionary radical feminist] on the planet.”

Take X user @glitterwitchx, who decided to “black out” her Harry Potter sleeve tattoo.

One user trolled her, writing “Wait, so in your youth you made a permanent change to your body that you grew to regret???”

She didn’t realize she was being mocked, and admitted “yes it’s amazing how right my dad was about the whole thing.”

Despite her efforts to delete the post, it was soon shared widely on social media.

In times of turbulence, it gave many users on X a much-needed chuckle.

Amazingly, when presented with the question or whether or not children should be able to get get either tattoos or puberty blockers, they say no to the former and yes to the latter.

Here’s the U.K. Prime Minister Talking About Black Lives Matter vs. Anti-Immigration Riots – Can You Notice the Difference?

Political nicknames are nothing new, even if the world leader in question is.

“Crooked Hillary”, “Sleepy Joe”, and “Rocketman” Kim Jong-Un are all familiar to Americans by now, largely thanks to personality overtaking policy in U.S. politics.

It’s no different across the pond in the U.K., where new Prime Minister Keir Starmer is coming under heavy criticism for his handling of the ongoing riots.

A large riot took place in Leeds on Friday, July 18, in a predominantly migrant area called Harehills. Later that month, the stabbing of three children in Southport prompted rioting across the country, with left and right-wing extremists facing off in violent clashes for more than a week.

The large condemnation of right-wing protesters, in spite of what many see as little-to-no criticism of the far left, has only boiled the existing frustrations. Conflicting coverage between the media and social network sites as to who is to blame has also not eased tension.

With no end to the rioting in sight, Prime Minister Starmer has promised a crackdown on rioters with “standing armies” of police officers and 24-hour turnarounds in the courts.

You can watch the side by side of his comments below:

The scale of the riots has seen commenters in the U.S. respond to the events, including X CEO Elon Musk.

There have also been attacks on journalists…

…while many have wondered why illegal immigration has not seen a similar policing response.

Quite simply, the population has had enough…

…and this post sums it up perfectly.

Historical Moment As Catholics And Protestants March Together In Belfast to Protest Mass Immigration

A Belfast march demanding an end to mass immigration has gone viral amid large-scale protests across the United Kingdom.

The U.K. has witnessed violent scenes following a victory for the Labour Party in July 4’s general election. Rioting by pro-Palestinian activists followed in Leeds, signaling the start of a turbulent period for the country.

After three children were murdered in Southport, England, on Tuesday, July 30, right-wing protesters have taken to the streets demanding the newly elected government take action. These protests have spread across the country, resulting in arrests and criminal damage on a nightly basis.

However, one of the more surprising scenes took place in Northern Ireland, where, in a historic moment, Catholics and Protestants marched side by side in a protest against mass immigration.

Many on social media noted the significance of the march.

Others wondered why mainstream media outlets had not covered the events in a region closely associated with President Joe Biden.

Some, for sure, were confused.

Catholics and Protestants have long been divided over the situation in Northern Ireland; the former are strongly in favor of unification with the Republic of Ireland, while Protestants have historically favored its existing status under British rule.

So much were the differences that the country saw a prolonged period of violence known as The Troubles. Militant groups both loyal and opposed to the British government engaged in a 27-year guerrilla campaign, with civilian infrastructure and landmarks of military significance regularly targeted by both sides. Even today, some three decades after The Troubles ended, the two sides strongly disagree over the status of Northern Ireland.

To see both united on a single issue is quite simply extraordinary.

76% of Your Income Taxes Are Now Going Towards Interest on The National Debt

When it comes to the money the government is siphoning off you through income taxes, most of it is literally going up in smoke.

The most recent Treasury data showed that as the federal government surpasses a record $35 trillion national debt, $1.1 trillion will be spent on interest payments alone this fiscal year.

According to reports: Interest payments on the federal debt now account for 76% of all personal income taxes collected. This means that for every dollar Americans pay in income tax, about 76 cents go towards paying interest on the national debt.

Roughly 45%, or nearly half of the federal government’s revenue is from personal income taxes.

The “76%” statistic is from the latest data from June, which showed that the U.S. government spent $140 billion on interest for Treasury debt securities and collected $185 billion in individual income taxes the same month.

At the turn of 21st century, the national government debt was $5.77 trillion, and by 2010 it had more than doubled to $12.77 trillion. The debt reached $23.22 trillion at the beginning of 2020. And only a few years later on Biden’s watch, it now surpasses $35 trillion.

At this rate, we’ll eventually reach a point where we don’t even bring in enough income tax to cover the interest payments on the debt – also known as bankruptcy.

In the last fiscal year of the Trump presidency, annual interest on the debt were at $521 billion, which was $44 billion (15%) higher than the $454 billion the government was spending the year before he took office. By contrast the government’s annual interest expense under Biden increased by a whopping $619 billion from what he inherited, a 114% increase.

Phrased differently: Biden screwed up America’s finances so badly that the federal government’s annual interest expense under Trump was closer to zero than it is to Biden’s.

Republican Sen. Launches Investigation Into Google Following Election Interference Allegations

A Republican Senator has launched an investigation amid concerns over censorship and bias on Google’s search engine.

Sen. Dr. Roger Marshall of Kansas launched the investigation, accusing the technological giant of “constricting the free flow of information.”

“Google, the largest Search Engine Operator in the world, has become a propaganda wing of the Left,” he wrote on the social media platform X. “No more hiding behind your algorithm – your time is up.”

The controversy began at the end of July when social media users noticed that certain search terms related to the attempted assassination of Donald Trump were omitted from the recommended autofill options. In addition, searches such as “Trump rally” would instead direct readers to news about presidential rival Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Google’s failure to provide suggestions related to the assassination attempt against President Trump on July 13, 2024, as part of its search function is yet another example of censorship against conservative voices and violates the intent of Section 230,” Sen. Marshall wrote in a letter to Google CEO Sundar Pichai. “Omitting suggestions to the most obvious and recent victim of an assassination attempt shows a willful discrimination against President Trump and users of your search engine.”

“Google advertises itself as a search engine and aggregator, not a censor,” he continued. “If Google wishes to become to a publishing firm or editor, Congress could then regulate accordingly by removing the sacred Section 230 protections your firm has long used to silence conservative voices.”

Many on social media were supportive of Sen. Marshall’s investigation.

Others were more critical in their stance on Google.

Texas High School Reverses “Unconstitutional” Removal Of Donald Trump Parking Lot Murals

A North Texas high school was slammed by conservatives online after two pro-Donald Trump slogans decorated in the parking lot were forcibly removed.

Keller High School’s senior students hold an annual tradition of painting murals in their parking spots. Two students, who have not been named, each opted to paint messages of support for the former president.

One mural featured Trump donning sunglasses and a bandanna, while another simply read 45/47 in reference to the Republican’s previous and possible next term as president.

In a since deleted policy, Keller maintained “the right to paint over, confiscate, and re-sell spaces that include content determined to be inappropriate by the administration, including but not limited to controversial, offensive, or obscene material.”

However, the Keller Independent School District later changed course. On Wednesday, July 31, Dr. Charles Randklev, the school board’s president, issued a statement on Facebook.

“You may have heard about a parking lot controversy at Keller High School where students were required to paint over the parking spots in the attached photo,” he wrote on the social media platform.

“Let me be clear. There is nothing offensive or controversial about respectfully painting or honoring a current or former President for the United States of America. We will take action and make it clear that the students can honor President Trump as the 45th, and soon-to-be 47th President of the United States, as they wish.”

Conservative backlash spread quickly when news of the removal was shared – which helped lead to the reversal.

Others alleged the move was unconstitutional.

And they were right.

Google Exposed For Omitting Donald Trump From Search Results

Search engine giant Google is under heavy fire for omitting a number of search terms relating to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

The California-based organization and most-used search engine worldwide hides recommended searches relating to the former president.

Social media users on X first noticed the omissions when searching “assassination attempt on Trump” on Google. Despite the shooting in Butler, PA, being one of the most shocking moments in recent political history, the search engine did not provide an autofill option for users to easily find out more about the day’s events, instead prioritizing the attempt on Harry Truman’s life in 1950.

Upon further investigation, it transpired that it was not just attempts to assassinate Trump which were being hidden. The term “President Donald Trump” did not yield any autofill search results when tested by the Libs of TikTok account.

The ludicrous omissions caught the attention of X CEO Elon Musk. When the business magnate and Trump-supporter attempted to search “President Donald”, he was greeted with alternative suggestions “President Donald Duck” and “President Donald Regan.”

So, what happens when you do search “President Donald Trump”? Yes, you guessed it: you receive (positive) news about Vice President Kamala Harris!

Among Congressional circles, Sen. Ted Cruz noted the omissions, describing Google’s acts as “insane.”

“They are gas-lighting the American people & trying to erase the attempted assassination of Trump,” he wrote on X.

It’s not the first time Google has come under fire this year following the news of a “scenic route” option being banned on its Maps service out of concerns it would lead to more people visiting majority-white towns.
