Focus Groups Slam Democrats: “Complacent, Elitist, And Out of Touch”

In the wake of their 2024 election loss, Democrats are grappling with sharp criticism from focus groups that highlight voter discontent with the party’s perceived detachment, ineffectiveness, and focus on issues deemed irrelevant to their everyday lives.

The findings, gathered by progressive organization Navigator Research and shared with POLITICO, shed light on the growing divide between Democratic leadership and the electorate.

Navigator Research conducted focus groups with swing voters and former Democrats who supported Donald Trump in 2024 after backing Joe Biden in 2020.

The results painted a picture of a party viewed as complacent, elitist, and disconnected from working-class concerns.

When asked to associate the Democratic Party with an animal, one participant compared it to an ostrich, saying, “They’ve got their heads in the sand and are absolutely committed to their own ideas, even when they’re failing.”

Another likened the party to a koala, critiquing Democrats as “complacent and lazy about getting policy wins that we really need.”

Another participant was more direct, stating, “Democrats are not a friend of the working class anymore.”

A Georgia man who switched his vote to Trump in 2024 noted the party’s focus on social progressivism.

“I think what the Democratic elites and their politicians believe is often very different from what the average Democratic voter is. The elites that run the Democratic Party — I think they’re way too obsessed with appealing to this very far-left social progressivism that’s very popular on college campuses.”

Economic issues like inflation and tariffs revealed additional voter frustration.

Some participants admitted limited understanding of policy implications, while others expressed mixed feelings.

A Wisconsin man stated, “Obviously, I wouldn’t want stuff to go up, but at the same time, in the long run, would it be better off for America and maybe having more stuff made here?”

Rachael Russell, director of polling and analytics at Navigator Research, described the feedback as “a pretty scathing rebuke” of the Democratic Party’s image.

“This weakness they see — [Democrats] not getting things done, not being able to actually fight for people — is something that needs to be figured out. It might not be the message, it might be the policy. It might be something a little bit deeper that has to be addressed by the party.”

Russell suggested Trump’s current popularity reflects a “honeymoon” period, but she predicted a potential shift once he assumes office.

“Once things start happening, it’s going to take a turn, and so it’s going to rely really heavily on the actions in the first 100 days to see how we go from here,” she said.

Focus group participants also expressed doubts about Kamala Harris, the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee.

Descriptions of Harris included terms such as “inauthentic,” “very dishonest,” and “did not seem competent.”

An Arizona man criticized a comment she made during a Detroit speech, “You better thank a union member,” calling it “very disingenuous to me because I didn’t see an honest person that could be president.”

Another former Biden voter who backed Trump in 2024 explained, “It seemed like a lot of what [Harris] came out and said wasn’t really off-the-cuff, wasn’t coming from her. It was planned out and never genuine to her thoughts, whereas Trump, even though you never really knew what he was going to say, it was always him and genuine to what he thought.”

The Trump campaign’s controversial use of a 2019 clip of Harris supporting gender-affirming surgery for prison inmates was also discussed.

The ad’s tagline, “Kamala is for they/them. President Trump is for you,” resonated with some voters.

A Wisconsin woman noted her concerns with the party’s approach to societal norms, including transgender issues. “I think there needs to be some parameters on what’s accepted in society and what isn’t. Some of the societal norms, and I think that the Democrats have tried to open that up a little too much,” she said.

The focus group findings underscore the challenges Democrats face in reconnecting with a broad base of voters, many of whom feel alienated by the party’s current direction.

Trump’s Incoming FCC Chair Issues Warning to Disney CEO

President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming Federal Communications Commission, Brendan Carr, fired off a warning letter to Disney CEO Bob Iger telling him he planned to hold news networks — like the Disney-owned ABC News — accountable.

Carr highlighted in the letter that the American people have largely lost trust in the national media. “Dear Mr. Iger, Americans no longer trust the national news media to report fully, accurately, and fairly,” Carr’s letter began.

He then noted ABC’s recent $15 million settlement with Trump. “ABC’s own conduct has certainly contributed to this erosion in public trust,” Carr wrote.

“For instance, ABC News recently agreed to pay $15 million to President Trump’s future presidential foundation and museum and an additional $1 million in attorney fees to settle a defamation case.”

Anchor George Stephanopoulos, a former Democratic strategist, said on a number of occasions that Trump had been “found liable for rape” in the E. Jean Carroll case.

Stephanopoulos had been warned against using the word “rape” prior to the broadcast, but failed to heed those warnings.

Carr suggested that the company was only deepening the public’s mistrust by prioritizing Disney’s paid streaming services over content that might be made available to more trusted affiliates.

“The fact that a massive trust divide has emerged between local news outlets and national programmers like ABC only increases the importance of retransmission consent revenues remaining available for local broadcast TV stations to invest in their local news operations and content that serves their communities,” he added.

Last week, Disney began rolling back LGBTQ-infused shows after reports the entertainment behemoth scrapped its transgender storyline in Pixar’s forthcoming animated series’ Win or Lose.’

The report was later confirmed by a Disney spokesperson, who helped remove the plotline, citing the preferences of worried parents as the reason for the decision.

“When it comes to animated content for a younger audience, we recognize that many parents would prefer to discuss certain subjects with their children on their own terms and timeline,” the spokesperson said.

Hillary Clinton: Republicans Taking Orders from the “World’s Richest Man” Elon Musk

Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton claimed that Republicans were “taking orders from the world’s richest man,” Elon Musk, regarding the failed continuing resolution (CR).

Clinton accused Republicans of being “on course to shut down the government over the holidays.”

“If you’re just catching up: the Republican Party, taking orders from the world’s richest man, is on course to shut down the government over the holidays, stopping paychecks for our troops and nutrition benefits for low-income families just in time for Christmas,” Clinton wrote in her post.

Clinton’s remarks came after Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) called for Musk to serve as House Speaker in the wake of growing criticisms regarding House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) reading the CR.

The Speaker of the House need not be a member of Congress . . .” Sen. Paul began.

“Nothing would disrupt the swamp more than electing Elon Musk.”

“Think about it . . . nothing’s impossible. (not to mention the joy at seeing the collective establishment, aka ‘uniparty,’ lose their ever-lovin’ minds),” the post concluded.

Musk placed tremendous pressure on Republican House leadership to scrap Wednesday’s spending measure in a series of X posts.

“The Speaker did a good job here, given the circumstances,” Musk wrote in one post on X, regarding the news that Johnson was “rolling” out a “third plan to keep the government” from heading toward a shutdown.

“It went from a bill that weighed pounds to a bill that weighed ounces. Ball should now be in the Dem court.”

Rand Paul Backs Elon Musk For House Speaker Amid Funding Row

Republican Sen. Rand Paul has suggested Elon Musk to become Speaker of the House of Representatives amid an ongoing battle over federal funding.

The Kentucky Sen. voiced his support for electing the business magnate as House Speaker. He noted that the Speaker does not need to be elected to the House – invoking memories of Matt Gaetz’s proposal for Donald Trump to assume the role in 2023. On X, Paul wrote:

The Speaker of the House need not be a member of Congress . . .   Nothing would disrupt the swamp more than electing Elon Musk . . . think about it .  . . nothing’s impossible. (not to mention the joy at seeing the collective establishment, aka ‘uniparty,’ lose their ever-lovin’ minds).

Musk could theoretically become House Speaker, although questions remain as to whether he would amass support from the GOP’s 2019 Representatives. Nevertheless, as calls grow – including Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene – for Speaker Mike Johnson’s removal, some on social media pondered the idea.

Others called for Vivek Ramaswamy instead.

Some, meanwhile, were skeptical of the legality.

Harris Camp Panicking As New Polling Shows Trump Leading In Key Swing States

Former President Donald Trump is gaining ground in three key swing states ahead of the 2024 election, according to a new poll from The New York Times and Siena College.

The poll, conducted between September 17 and 21, surveyed 2,077 likely voters across the three states.

In Arizona, Trump leads Harris by five points, with a 50%-45% margin.

In Georgia, he holds a similar lead at 49%-45%.

The race is tighter in North Carolina, where Trump leads by a narrow 49%-47%.

This swing toward Trump is significant, particularly in Arizona and Georgia, both of which Joe Biden “won” in 2020.

Arizona’s shift is especially noteworthy, as a New York Times poll in August showed Harris leading by five points in the state.

Several factors could have influenced this change, including the Democratic National Convention, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s endorsement of Trump after dropping out of the race, and the endorsement of Harris by former Vice President Dick Cheney and former Congresswoman Liz Cheney.

Additionally, a second assassination attempt on Trump occurred during the polling period, potentially affecting voter opinions.

People Identifying as Non-Citizens Are Still Being Registered to Vote by the DMV

Non-citizens being added to state voter rolls through motor vehicle departments has become a significant issue.

J. Christian Adams, President of the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF), has raised concerns about non-citizens registering to vote, even after explicitly stating their non-citizen status.

This issue spans several states, with many non-citizens being added to voter rolls through the motor voter process, typically handled by Departments of Motor Vehicles (DMV). According to Adams, even legal residents have been inadvertently swept into the system.

He explained that 90-95% of those registered through this process are legal residents, such as green card holders, who unknowingly become part of the voter rolls.

In Pennsylvania, Adams revealed that non-citizens had been registered to vote for decades, a problem admitted by the state itself. He shared that PILF has been fighting to obtain records that show the extent of this issue, but Pennsylvania has been stonewalling them for seven years.

In 2017, Pennsylvania’s then-Secretary of State Al Schmidt acknowledged that over 100,000 matches between voter registration records and state driver’s licenses had been found, raising concerns about a “potentially very significant number” of non-citizens on the voter rolls.

The issue has come to light in other states as well, including Arizona, Texas, and Ohio.

For example, Arizona’s Secretary of State Adrian Fontes recently admitted that nearly 100,000 voters had been mistakenly registered due to errors in the state’s system. In Texas, Governor Greg Abbott announced the removal of over one million ineligible voters, including thousands of non-citizens. Ohio, too, has started removing non-citizens from its voter rolls after identifying hundreds who had admitted their non-citizen status.

Across the country, non-citizens are being caught in a flawed system, raising serious concerns about the integrity of U.S. elections.

White House Vax Censor Now Helping Elect Kam-Kam Harris

You won’t be surprised to learn what LibsOfTikTok has brought to our attention: apparently one of the main White House employees who ordered Facebook to censor news coverage unflattering to the Democratic agenda is now the deputy campaign manager for Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.

You really have to see what Rob Flaherty wrote to Facebook in April, 2021. While the email from Flaherty has redacted the name of the recipient, it does show that the message was sent to an employee at “fb.com.” What’s remarkable is the dictatorial tone Flaherty takes in talking to Facebook; it’s the tone an angry boss might use toward an employee who didn’t do her job. Except the White House is allegedly full of public servants who work for Americans, not the other way around.

Flaherty writes:

“. . .the top post about vaccines today is tucker (sic) Carlson saying they don’t work. Yesterday was (conservative commentator) Tomi Lehren saying she won’t take one. This is exactly why I want to know what ‘Reduction’ actually looks like. . “

He sounds awfully bossy, no? Clearly, Facebook was talking to the White House and making promises to ban or de-boost any conservative voices who expressed any skepticism at all about the Covid vaccines.

Remember when you could get banned from social media, fired from your job, and “canceled” by your friends and family for refusing to take a hastily produced vaccine? Millions of Americans said no to the government and employers who tried to force them to inject the unproven mixture, and many paid a big price by losing their livelihoods and family connections. What left heads spinning was how rapidly—almost overnight—so many Americans accepted this kind of sinister authoritarianism from the government and their loved ones.

But now in 2024, even the New York Times, which is nothing but a mouthpiece for liberal left, is admitting that citizens around the country who think they were sickened by the jab are being ignored.

Kam-Kam’s deputy campaign manager Rob Flaherty is in the spotlight after Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted in a letter to the House Judiciary Committee that the White House pressured his company to silence skeptical Americans. While he claims to be sorry about buckling under, the damage is already done.

People on social media are not in a forgiving mood. Here are some of the reactions to the news that the censorious Flaherty is now working to elect Cacklin’ Kamala:

This user’s comment is right on the money: the Communists don’t hide anymore because they don’t have to in America.

We’ll live you with some grim humor.

Joe Biden Accused Of Packing The Court Amid Supreme Court Reform Ambitions

President Joe Biden has been accused of packing the Supreme Court as he attempts to introduce term limits on justices.

With his days in office numbered following his decision not to stand for re-election, Biden is pushing an extreme reform of the Supreme Court in a bid to remove conservative influence from the highest judicial body in the land.

Conservatives currently control SCOTUS with a 6-3 majority. Although the court is not limited on the number of justices it can have, it has traditionally been set at nine since 1869.

Packing the Supreme Court is a controversial move, as critics see it as a way for lawmakers, including the President, to exert influence over an otherwise apolitical judicial policy.

To circumvent this, Biden wants to introduce 18-year term limits for Supreme Court justice. “Why 18?” you may wonder. Well, such a move would automatically disqualify conservative justices John Roberts, Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito, thus meaning Biden could appoint three liberal justices in their place.

In other words, this would change the composition of the court from a 6-3 conservative court to a 6-3 liberal court.

Fortunately, social media users have quickly caught on to the President’s intentions.

Others agreed with the need for term limits, but disagreed with Biden’s desperation. There were also questions over whether the Supreme Court was the right target.

Sen. Chuck Schumer Announces Kamala Harris Endorsement, Awkwardness Ensues

In a desperate attempt to drum up support for the recently crowned presumptive nominee Kamala Harris, Democratic Senate Leader Chuck Schumer gave his most convincing performance of enthusiasm to a less-than-interested audience. Speaking during a joint press conference held on Tuesday with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Schumer read a pre-prepared statement about the vice president’s candidacy for president.

The press conference also came after both men held off from announcing their support for Harris. Both were rumored to be considering other options as DNC operatives worked their magic behind the scenes. While Schumer’s words were positive, though, his actions didn’t come across as authentic. Slightly raising his voice, Schumer said that America was beginning its “next chapter” and that it will be the “best yet.” He also proclaimed that Vice President Kamala Harris will “beat Donald Trump” in November.

Jeffries echoed his colleague’s comments, describing Kamala as a capable leader who is “ready” and “willing” to lead the country into the future.

Schumer noticed the lack of response from the crowd, and even encouraged them to applaud in a moment reminiscent of Jeb Bush’s “please clap” moment. But at least in the case of Jeb, he was trying to be funny. Regardless, they still didn’t chat. Watching the clip below, it’s hard not to notice the robotic nature of Schumer’s own cheers and applause.

Videos of the interaction immediately went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Regardless of whether the endorsement is genuine, though, Harris secured a huge win by gaining their support. Not only does she have the support of Biden’s delegates – at least for the most part – but she also has the support of the biggest names in the party. It makes Harris the presumptive nominee without even a single ballot being cast and is certain to raise questions among Democrat voters about transparency within the party.

Democrat voters still haven’t forgotten about what the DNC did to Bernie Sanders.

Reports reveal that Schumer spoke with Harris over the phone ahead of his announcement. Confirming the call, Schumer said that he had held off from endorsing her because Harris wanted to win the nomination “on her own” and “from the grassroots.”

Do you think this was a grassroots campaign?

Anti-Israel Congresswoman’s Extraordinary Ties To Palestinian Terrorist Exposed

California Rep. Sara Jacobs holds a peculiar position on the Israel-Hamas war.

Despite her Jewish faith, Rep. Jacobs is prominently anti-Israel when it comes to the conflict. She previously called upon the United States government to withdraw arms funding for the Benjamin Netanyahu’s forces, and her remarks often focus on the impact on Palestinian civilians rather than the atrocities of the Hamas-led regime.

This seemingly conflicted viewpoint was emphasized once again on Thursday, July 24, when she announced she would not be attending the Israeli Prime Minister’s speech to Congress.

However, it was the response by one social media user which really raised eyebrows.

As some sleuthing from Ariel Sterman uncovered, a few simple Google searches reveal that her fiancé is Palestinian.

Now, that wouldn’t be damning on it’s own. After all, surely she’s more likely to sympathize with the Palestinians if she’s going to be married to one.

But the rabbit hole goes far deeper than that. Her Palestinian husband is the grandson of Abu Youssef, a member of the terrorist and far-left Palestine Liberation Organization, and key planner of the 1972 Munich massacre, which killed 11 Israelis. Seven months later, Youssef and his wife were killed in an Israeli raid on their Beirut apartment while their children were home.

In 1965, while working in Kuwait, Abu Youssef co-founded Fatah with Yasser Arafat and other exiled Palestinians.

Youssef’s grandson Ammar Campa-Najjar is also involved in U.S. Democrat politics, and worked as a regional field director for Barack Obama’s 2012 presidential campaign. He was also a White House intern during the Obama administration, and worked in the Labor department. He’s also unsuccessfully run for Congress twice.

Commenters reacted with shock at the response.
