Alleged Bravo Star Triggered, Tells Trump Supporters to Take Their Fat A**es to Cracker Barrel
Former Bravo reality television personality Jennifer Welch is facing backlash after calling for supporters of President Donald Trump to be barred from dining at Mexican, Chinese, and Indian restaurants in the United States.
Welch made the remarks on her “I’ve Had It” podcast in a profanity-filled episode targeting white voters who back Trump’s border and immigration policies.
“I’ve had it with white people that triple Trumped that have the nerve and the audacity to walk into a Mexican restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, an Indian restaurant, go to a gay hairdresser,” Welch said during the episode.
The phrase “triple Trump,” as used by Welch, refers to individuals who support what critics allege are the president’s positions against immigration, diversity, and LGBTQ rights.
“If you want to triple Trump, if you want to brow beat DEI, if you want to brow beat gay people, you want to brow beat black people as you have been doing for hundreds of years… White people that triple Trumped should be boycotted, banned from enjoying the best thing that America has to offer, which is multiculturalism,” Welch continued.
She then took aim at their dining preferences. “Get your fat asses out of the Mexican restaurant. Get your fat asses over at a Cracker Barrel because nobody wants to see your f–ing smug ass, teeny weeny pink arm, big gut around,” she said.
“Nobody wants to see that sh-t, no one,” she added.
The comments prompted swift criticism online, with social media users accusing Welch of hypocrisy and intolerance. Clips of her remarks spread quickly across multiple platforms, with many saying her statements revealed the same kind of discrimination she claimed to oppose.
“It’s always the most intolerant and hateful pretending to love everyone,” one user commented.
“What a pompous, arrogant thing to say,” another wrote.
“She is what’s wrong with this country,” a third person stated.
Others responded with sarcasm. “Uber Karen. I voted for Trump and I’m having a burrito with chorizo and spinach dip for lunch today,” one commenter posted.
Welch, a mother of two, gained national attention as the star of Bravo’s reality series “Sweet Home,” which followed her work as the owner of a luxury interior design business. Since her time on television, she has continued to work in the design industry while co-hosting her podcast.
Her recent remarks, however, have drawn widespread condemnation, with critics pointing to her singling out of Trump supporters for exclusion from certain restaurants as an example of political division spilling into daily life.
The controversy surrounding Welch’s comments underscores the ongoing tensions over politics, culture, and public discourse in the United States, particularly when celebrity figures take public positions on contentious issues.
