Dems’ J6 Committee Caught Collecting 30 Million Phone Records Targeting Trump Allies

Congressional investigators obtained an estimated 30 million lines of telephone metadata during the Democrat-led January 6 Select Committee’s probe into the 2021 Capitol riot, according to documents and testimony recently disclosed to federal investigators.

The large-scale data collection effort—revealed in an FBI memo from December 2023—has prompted new scrutiny over Congress’s ability to collect private communications records without judicial oversight.

Former Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger, one of two Republicans appointed by Democrats to serve on the committee, told the FBI that the data had been collected by former Rep. Denver Riggleman, a one-time Republican and senior technical adviser to the panel.

The memo, reviewed by Just the News, indicates that Kinzinger offered the full cache to the FBI without a warrant shortly before the 2024 presidential election.

“Kinzinger noted that he did not conduct the analysis himself but that Riggleman had identified certain telephone connections between numbers identified as being associated with the White House and certain individuals,” FBI agents wrote in their summary of the conversation.

The memo also stated that Riggleman “had a contact and was able to obtain toll information including for White House root or switchboard numbers via congressional subpoena.”

The offer to the FBI was made after the Jan. 6 committee had formally disbanded and months after Kinzinger had left Congress.

The scale of the data collection—described as roughly 30 million lines—was significantly larger than the 18 million lines previously disclosed by investigators in public statements and publications.

In a statement posted to his Substack on Wednesday, Kinzinger confirmed that he discussed the records with FBI agents in December 2023 but insisted that the data had been lawfully obtained in 2021 through congressional subpoenas.

“Congress used lawful subpoenas to obtain phone metadata in 2021. It was routine. It was reported. It was discussed openly,” Kinzinger wrote.

“In 2023, I had a brief discussion with members of the FBI reminding them of this data if they needed it in their investigation. Regardless, they didn’t seem interested and that was that.”

Although the committee’s subpoenas were public, they did not disclose the total amount of data collected or the decision to share the material with the FBI.

It remains unclear whether the bureau accepted or reviewed the information offered by Kinzinger.

The new revelations follow earlier reports that Special Counsel Jack Smith and the FBI obtained private phone records from multiple Republican lawmakers during investigations tied to the January 6 events.

According to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, those records included call metadata for eight Republican senators and one House member, collected between January 4 and January 7, 2021.

Grassley’s office also revealed that the FBI’s “Arctic Frost” investigation targeted dozens of GOP officials and organizations, including campaign groups linked to President Donald Trump.

Grassley said the FBI data collection included the phone records of Sens. Ron Johnson, Lindsey Graham, Josh Hawley, Tommy Tuberville, and others.

“This document shows the Biden FBI spied on eight of my Republican Senate colleagues during its Arctic Frost investigation,” Grassley said in a statement.

“BIDEN FBI WEAPONIZATION = WORSE THAN WATERGATE.”

Kash Patel, the current FBI Director, confirmed that the memo documenting Kinzinger’s offer to the bureau was uncovered as part of an internal review.

Patel described the Jan. 6 committee’s massive collection as “baseless monitoring of members of Congress.”

He added that the bureau has since “terminated employees, abolished the weaponized CR-15 squad, and initiated an ongoing investigation with more accountability measures ahead.”

Former Senate Judiciary Committee lawyer Mike Davis, who now leads the Article 3 Project, said the scale of the congressional data collection could trigger a legal challenge over congressional immunity under the Constitution’s Speech and Debate Clause.

“This episode will test the limits of congressional immunity and whether it affords protection to activity that constitutes a criminal conspiracy to violate Americans’ civil rights,” Davis said.

Mike Howell, president of the Oversight Project, described the January 6 Committee’s actions as “an absolute violation of civil rights that far exceeded anything it ever purported to be investigating.”

Riggleman, who left Congress in 2021, has previously described the committee’s data analysis in his 2022 book The Breach: The Untold Story of the Investigation into January 6th.

In the book, he wrote that his team “analyzed phone numbers that belonged to those in the Trump family, rallygoers, rally planners, influencers like Flynn, Stone, and Bannon; and many others,” and used subpoenaed call records to identify White House-linked numbers and other communications.

After leaving the committee, Riggleman became a data consultant for Hunter Biden’s legal team in 2023, helping analyze materials related to the Biden laptop controversy.

The newly surfaced FBI memo documenting Kinzinger’s contact adds to concerns about the extent of congressional surveillance powers and their use in politically charged investigations.

Grassley has requested information from telecommunications companies and multiple federal agencies to determine the full scope of data shared with federal investigators during the January 6 probe.

Armed Citizens Stop Far More Active Shooters Than the FBI Said, New Report Reveals

A decade-long review by the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) said armed citizens have stopped active shootings at least 10 times more often than reflected in commonly cited federal tallies, arguing that defensive actions by private individuals are significantly undercounted in official and media summaries.

In an update released Monday and shared with Washington Secrets, the center reported that good Samaritans halted 36% to 62% of active-shooter incidents from 2014 through 2024, compared with 3.7% in the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s published reports.

The CPRC attributed the gap to definitional limits and classification choices in federal data.

The group said the FBI’s approach excludes situations where an armed citizen displays a firearm but does not fire, even when the display stops an attack.

The center also said certain cases were categorized as being stopped by “professionals” when the individuals were unpaid or volunteer security, which the CPRC counted as armed citizens.

“The FBI defines an active shooter as one or more individuals actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a public place, not involving gang violence or some other crime such as robbery. Such an incident could be something as minor as one person being shot at and missed up to a mass public shooting. While the FBI includes cases where civilians stop active shooters, the news media frequently relies on the limited number of these cases to argue that such interventions are rare,” said the report.

“Evidence compiled by the Crime Prevention Research Center shows that the sources the media relied on undercounted the number of instances in which armed citizens have thwarted such attacks by an order of more than ten, saving untold numbers of lives.

Of course, law-abiding citizens stopping these attacks are not rare.

What is rare is national news coverage of those incidents,” added Lott’s report, shared Monday with Washington Secrets.

John R. Lott Jr., the center’s president, said the new findings expand on a 2022 analysis and were compiled from incidents that met federal criteria for active-shooter events over the ten-year period.

According to the CPRC, there were at least 561 active-shooter cases between 2014 and 2024. In those, the center said, armed citizens stopped 202 incidents.

By comparison, the FBI listed 374 active-shooter incidents in the period and reported that 14, or 3.7%, were stopped by an armed citizen.

The CPRC said its audit identified 42 active-shooter incidents the FBI overlooked and 145 others it said were missed.

The organization wrote that its intent was to present a fuller accounting of defensive interventions by civilians rather than to criticize federal officials, and it urged a wider discussion of how such encounters are categorized.

The report also addressed concerns frequently raised about permitting more civilians to carry firearms.

“News outlets often raise concerns that allowing concealed handgun carry will result in innocent bystanders being shot or in police accidentally shooting permit holders,” said the report.

For example, it added, “All the experts interviewed by the Washington Post and New York Times argue that stopping these attacks should be left to the police.”

Lott’s update cited a PoliceOne survey indicating that 86% of law enforcement officers disagreed with the premise that more legally armed citizens are inherently dangerous in these situations.

The report said that while police are responsible for responding to active-shooter incidents, response times can leave gaps that civilians sometimes fill when violence begins.

To that point, the report quoted firearms trainer and author Massad Ayoob: “When a life-threatening crisis strikes and seconds count, the real first responders are the citizens present.”

The CPRC’s findings arrive amid continuing debate over how to measure and present data on active-shooter incidents.

The center and federal law enforcement use similar base definitions for an “active shooter,” but the CPRC argued that differing inclusion rules can change outcomes, especially when a would-be attacker is deterred without shots being fired or when volunteers rather than sworn officers intervene.

The report said it reviewed cases across the country and included events in public places that met the FBI’s criteria and were not tied to other crimes such as robberies or gang-related violence.

The CPRC said its upper-range estimate of 62% reflects incidents in which an armed citizen was present in venues where civilian carry was allowed, while the lower bound reflects overall incidents nationwide.

The organization argued that both figures suggest private defensive actions play a larger role in ending attacks than previously reported.

The findings are expected to factor into policy discussions over concealed carry, venue security, and training for both civilians and law enforcement.

The report stated that its analysis is intended to inform those debates by documenting instances in which civilians acted and by clarifying why some cases may not appear in official summaries.

According to the CPRC, better harmonization of definitions and classifications would allow for more consistent tracking of how active-shooter incidents end and who stops them.

As the discussion continues, the CPRC’s update presents a contrasting view to federal summaries on the frequency of civilian defensive interventions and calls attention to how methodological choices can shape public understanding of active-shooter responses over the past decade.

How Woke Was This Year’s Super Bowl?

Super Bowl LIX saw the Philadelphia Eagles thrash the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 on Sunday, 9th Feb.

The Eagles took an overwhelming 34-point lead, with a Chiefs resurgence in the final quarter proving to be a day late and a dollar short.

However, as America reflects on the end of another NFL season, there’s one question you may be wondering: just how woke was this year’s Super Bowl?

The night got off to a bad start as the NFL permitted a rendition of “Lift Every Voice And Sing”. Often referred to as the “Black National Anthem” given its origins as a poem by NAACP leader James Weldon Johnson, the airing raised questions as to whether it should have been sung at all given the divisive sentiment behind it.

However, wokeness objectors were soon thrilled to see Donald Trump to become the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl, with loud cheers ringing out when his appearance was revealed to the crowd in New Orleans.

(On a side note, Trump was apparently less than impressed with the game itself, taking time to announce a new policy on Truth Social).

As the nation sat down to watch the half-time ads, it was a less-woke-than-usual airing. One particular ad proved popular with conservatives on social media…

… while another was less well-received.

There was, however, a rather memorable moment when pro-Democrat Taylor Swift was loudly booed by the paying audience (in fairness, took it well!)

Nevada Has More Registered Republicans Than Democrats For The First Time In 18 Years

The swing state of Nevada has flipped Red in terms of voter registration numbers, according to new data. Alas, registered Republicans now outnumber Democrats by 187 in the state which Donald Trump won by 3.11 percentage points in November 2024.

A total of 8,186 registered Democrats ditched their party affiliation in January 2025. While the GOP also saw losses, they were less than half of that of their Democratic counterparts (-3,832).

The number of Republicans (618,538) in the state is not far from the Election Day 2020 figure of 602,302. It also marks an increase of 7,000 since the most recent presidential election.

On the other hand, the Democrats – once 689,025-strong in Nevada – are now down to 618,352. Despite January’s large-scale losses, the Democrats have only lost 91 registered voters since Kamala Harris’ electoral defeat last November.

As a result, Republicans now lead Democrats in voter registration numbers for the first time in 18 years.

It’s not clear how many voters have flipped from blue to red, but the large increases for other parties suggest many are seeking third-party or independent alternatives. Non-GOP/Democrat registered voters make up 854,313 of the 2.1 million with active party registration – an increase of 280,000 from November 2020.

Conservatives on social media celebrated the news.

Others argued that the flip from blue to red highlighted a surge in momentum for the GOP.

Poll Finds That The Democrats Are More Unpopular Than Ever Before

The Democratic Party recorded its lowest ever favorability rating in a new poll from Quinnipiac University.

The survey found that only 31% of respondents had a favorable opinion of the Democrats, compared to 57% who did not. Interestingly, 15% of Democrat respondents held an unfavorable view of their own party, as did 59% of independents. Women (39%) were more likely to have a favorable view of the Democratic Party than men (22%).

“This is the highest percentage of voters having an unfavorable opinion of the Democratic Party since the Quinnipiac University Poll began asking this question,” said the poll’s authors, who have produced the survey since 2008.

The GOP fared better once the usual split along party lines was factored out. Independents generally held a more favorable view (36%) of the Republicans than the Democrats, with less than half (48%) holding an unfavorable opinion. Men (48%) were more likely to hold a positive view than women (37%), but the GOP performed better than the Democrats in both demographics.

While Democrats are polling at its lowest, the GOP is viewed more favorably than it ever has been.

And they did it all to themselves.

Some on social media said they thought the party’s standing was only going to get worse.

Others were not surprised by the poll’s results.

Scott Jennings Dismantles CNN Panel In Row Over Musk, Deportations And DOJ

Scott Jennings is a shining light in the dark hellhole known as CNN.

The Republican political strategist and writer is one of the few conservative voices permitted on the network, and regularly offers a sensible alternative to what is otherwise a left-wing propaganda tool. His recent appearance on Newsnight was no exception.

Despite the best efforts of his liberal colleagues, Jennings tore apart each and every argument thrown his way. His first victim was Maria Cardona, who went into a bizarre outburst on how the Department of Justice “does not work for the President,” despite, as Jennings pointed out, the DoJ being within the Executive Branch.

Ashley Allison stepped in as the discussion moved on to using the judicial system to target political opponents.

“By your logic, if you apply it to the last administration, which I don’t think is the case, if Joe Biden wanted to go after Donald Trump, the Attorney General should be able to do it,” Allison said.

“They did go after Donald Trump, because Joe Biden did want to do it,” laughed Jennings as Allison tried to amend her statement.

The conversation then moved onto illegal immigration, with one pundit arguing that voters had not realized to the full extent what the President’s mass deportations would truly entail.

“The assertion that all American voters did not know exactly what Donald Trump is going to do…is totally false,” Jennings replied. “There was mass amount of polling during the campaign. Hispanic Americans supported deportations by majority. You and I debated this many times. You claimed it wasn’t true. And then what did they do, they went and voted for Donald Trump.”

He added, “There is no buyer’s remorse. The people who followed our laws and came here legally are more than happy to see the laws enforced.”

Cardona responded with a suggestion of mass amnesty, arguing that the way to “get rid of all those illegals” was “to give them a pathway to citizenship.”

The highlight of the night, however, came when Catherine Rampell accused Elon Musk of performing a “second Sieg Heil”. When Jennings told the Washington Post columnist to “lawyer up”, Rampell suffered a fullblown meltdown, demanding Jennings “do it on TV right now” while slamming the desk.

Leftists Resort To Boycotts And In-Store Protests As Target Scraps DEI Policies

Target’s revocation of DEI policies has prompted calls for a boycott from a number of left-wing figures including a Minneapolis City Council member where the retailer is headquartered.

Interestingly enough, Target practically pioneered the corporate DEI trend in 2016 when they backed a transgender bathroom policy, and ignored conservative groups who suggested they add a gender neutral/single stall bathroom to their stores (which many already had) instead of allowing grown men in the women’s room.

On Friday, Jan. 24, the retailer announced it would scaling back many of its DEI policies. In a statement, Target announced a conclusion to “three-year diversity, equity and inclusion goals” as well as the “Racial Equity Action and Change initiatives” as previously announced.

Furthermore, it removed wokeism from employee resource groups while also pledging to cease participation in diversity-focused surveys such as the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index.

Anti-DEI crusader Robby Starbuck also shared the news, which follows his efforts as part of what is now a monumental campaign to remove DEI policies at companies such as Tractor SupplyHarley-DavidsonCaterpillarToyota, and Boeing, – all of which have withdrawn from the Corporate Equality Index. Some, like John DeereLowe’s, and Ford, have also withdrawn sponsorship of Pride events, while others such as Molson Coors and Walmart have removed diversity quotas for suppliers.

However, the death of DEI at Target has prompted a boycott from the leftist organization “Strike for All,” who announced a boycott commencing Saturday, Feb. 1.

Target’s DEI revocation also caught the attention of Minneapolis City Council member Jason Chavez. He said, “It’s disappointing that Target Corporation, based in Minneapolis, decided to roll back and ultimately conclude its diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. I urge everyone to consider supporting small businesses and family-owned grocery stores in our community instead.”

Some protests have already begun, including one man who said he “can’t work here” during a vocal rant in a Target store.

“I Really Don’t Care, Margaret”: J.D. Vance Destroys CBS News Reporter In Row Over Refugees

J.D. Vance owned broadcaster Margaret Brennan in an interview with CBS News on Sunday, Jan. 26.

Appearing on “Face the Nation” in his first sit-down interview as Vice President, Vance discussed the issue of vetting refugees to the United States. He expressed doubt that a thorough screening process had taken place for all refugees, adding that his “primary concern is to look after the American people” as Vice President.

“Now that we know that we have vetting problems with a lot of these refugee programs, we absolutely cannot unleash thousands of unvetted people into our country,” he said.

Brennan interjected, arguing that “these people are vetted”.

However, an undeterred Vance struck back, and said, “Just like the guy who planned a terrorist attack in Oklahoma a few months ago? He was allegedly properly vetted, and many people in the media and the Democratic Party said that he was properly vetted. Clearly, he wasn’t.”

As the Brennan tried to interrupt once again, Vance continued, “I don’t want my children to share a neighborhood with people who are not properly vetted, and because I don’t want it for my kids, I’m not going to force any other American citizens kids’ to do that either.”

The CBS broadcaster argued that the Afghan national arrested for conspiring to conduct an Election Day terrorist attack on behalf of ISIS was “a very particular case,” adding, “It wasn’t clear if he was radicalized when he got here or while he was living here.”

“I don’t really care, Margaret,” responded Vance, “I don’t want that person in my country, and I think most Americans agree with me.”

Many were highly praiseful of Vance’s conduct during the interview.

Others were more critical of Brennan’s performance.

Donald Trump’s First Week Back In Office In 300 Words

It was a historic week in the United States as Donald Trump became the second person to return to the presidency after a four-year absence.

After months of speculation about a second Trump term following his landslide victory over Kamala Harris in November last year, the world finally caught a glimpse of what to expect over the next four years.

Trump was officially inaugurated at 12pm EST, and tore apart the previous administration in front of their very own eyes.

While speeches and formal events took up most of the day’s agenda, Trump wasted no time in signing scores of executive orders in the Oval Office. The sight of a president taking reporter questions without preparation felt alien after four years of Joe Biden.

Tuesday began with a traditional inauguration prayer service, but controversy erupted when Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde urged the President to “have mercy” on immigrants and transgender children.

Pretty soon, however, attention turned back to business at hand. The President held a lengthy press conference following a landmark announcement regarding investment into AI…

… while later signing an executive order banning DEI programs within federal agencies.

By the middle of the week, attention turned to the war in Ukraine, with the President threatening further sanctions against Russia if they refused to halt the “ridiculous” conflict.

His attention on the rest of the world didn’t stop there, with a virtual address to the World Economic Forum in Davos on Thursday.

On Friday, Trump visited California to see firsthand the impact of the devastating wildfires, before a trip to Nevada over the weekend.

And that’s just week one!

Former Illegal Alien Rhode Island Judge Resigns Hours After FBI Raid on His Office

A judge widely described as the first “formerly undocumented judge” in Rhode Island has resigned following a raid by the FBI on his law office on Thursday, Jan. 23.

Central Falls Municipal Court Judge Joseph Molina Flynn was the subject of a raid at his downtown Providence office on Thursday afternoon. Footage shared widely on social media revealed FBI and Homeland Security officers conducting the investigation hours, while police cruisers were seen outside.

Flynn, who was born in Colombia and lived in the U.S. for 15 years before obtaining a lawful permanent residency permit and later citizenship, describes himself as a specialist in immigration, family and criminal matters. He is also a professor at the Roger Williams University Law School where he teaches “Crimmigration.”

No criminal charges have been filed, but Flynn has been accused of defrauding his clients, and it’s reasonable to speculate that he was helping illegals skirt immigration law.

Hours later, Flynn resigned from his position at Central Falls Municipal Court. He was also removed from the RWU faculty page.
