MSNBC’s Scarborough: Democrats Secretly Support Trump’s Federal Police Takeover

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said Tuesday that numerous Democrats have privately expressed support for President Donald Trump’s decision to assume federal control of the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C.

Speaking on “Morning Joe,” Scarborough said he has heard from “so many” Democrats in recent days who believe the federal government should have intervened in the city’s policing long ago.

“This is a fascinating story because so many people have been calling me over the past couple of days, going, you know, like Washington, should have gotten involved years ago. This place is dangerous, it’s a mess, it’s a wreck and whatever,” Scarborough said.

“And then they’ll go on Twitter and go ‘this is the worst outrage of all time.’ Which I understand, it’s like people need to express their concerns about Donald Trump going too far.”

Scarborough noted that some of the concerns stem from memories of the National Guard’s deployment in 2020.

He said, “We saw what happened back in 2020 with the National Guard, certainly can’t have any repeat of that. I don’t want the federalization of the entire city, but man, I don’t care what the crime statistics say, crime has been a problem in this city for the 32 years I’ve been living inside and outside of the city.”

The MSNBC host contrasted the safety perceptions between Washington, D.C., and New York City, saying that D.C. residents, including Democrats he has spoken with, have told him they avoid walking more than a few blocks at night.

“It’s just, even now, we, Mika and I, we’re talking to somebody who lives in the city, these are all Democrats who said, you know, our friends won’t walk more than three blocks in D.C. at night without feeling the complete opposite of New York City, where I’ll walk 40 or 50 blocks at night and not think twice about it,” Scarborough said.

“In New York City, in midtown downtown. I mean, New York is a safe, safe place. Washington D.C., man, it’s door to door.”

Trump announced the federal takeover of D.C.’s police force earlier this week, citing rising violent crime and a need to restore public safety.

The plan includes deploying National Guard troops and FBI agents to assist local law enforcement in addressing criminal activity in high-crime neighborhoods.

The move has sparked public criticism from several Democratic lawmakers, but Scarborough’s comments suggest that some within the party privately welcome the effort.

While these Democrats have not expressed such views publicly, Scarborough indicated that their concerns about crime in the capital are longstanding and bipartisan in nature.

The federal control initiative marks one of the most significant interventions in local D.C. policing in decades.

The Justice Department has said the goal is to supplement local resources, reduce violent crime, and improve safety for residents and visitors. The length of the federal oversight has not been specified.

Scarborough’s remarks add to the ongoing debate over crime and policing in Washington, which has become a focal point in national discussions about public safety and federal authority in the nation’s capital.

NYC Mayoral Candidate Zohran Mamdani’s Comments on Domestic Violence Spark Outrage from Abuse Survivors

Communist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani continues to receive backlash online, this time from victims of domestic violence. Recently, Mamdani provoked the ire of domestic violence victims by opposing police responding to domestic violence incidents.

According to the CDC, one in four women and one in ten men experience some form of domestic violence in their lifetime, ranging from stalking, mental abuse, to physical abuse, and life-threatening injuries involving knives and firearms. However, the Mamdani does not believe that armed police should respond to these situations.

“Police do not create safety… there are so many responsibilities we’ve given to police that, frankly, should have nothing to do with their departments… if somebody is jaywalking, if somebody is surviving, going through domestic violence—there are so many different, different situations that would be far better handled by people trained to deal with those specific situations, as opposed to an individual with a gun,” he said, according to the Washington Free Beacon.

It is highly unlikely, however, that marriage counselors are the best choice for first-time responders when a spouse is being held at gunpoint. According to Victims Rights Reform Council founder, Michelle Esquenazi, domestic violence is often a life and death situation. It remains unclear how mental health counselors and social workers would be able to respond to a spouse holding their partner captive at gunpoint or knifepoint – as Mamdani would want.

“There’s a lot of humans who are victims in the city of New York, and they need protection because sometimes it’s a matter of life and death,” Esquenazi told Fox News Digital. “They’re hiding in the bathroom with their children, and they need someone to come immediately.”

Esquenazi claims that Mamdani’s statements affect her personally, as the New York Police Department (NYPD) saved her life when her ex-husband attacked her while she was pregnant in 1993.

“I called 911, and they came running. They made sure that me and my children, and I was pregnant at the time, were safe. One of the officers took us to a back bedroom and made sure that we were calmed down and made sure that we had what we needed. They separated him from the situation immediately and essentially saved our lives,” she said.

Meanwhile, Mamdani’s comments align anti-police sentiments stoked by the George Floyd riots, resulting in calls for the defunding of entire law enforcement departments. Many deep blue cities have even changed their emergency response protocols for domestic violence, with some ending armed police response altogether.

Mamdani has repeatedly called for the defunding of the police, including proposals to delegate certain law enforcement responsibilities to the “Department of Community Safety.” However, in classic liberal subterfuge, Mr. Mamdani later denied pushing for the defunding of police, and even promised to work with them.

Joe Rogan Breaks Silence on Why He Finally Interviewed Trump

World-renowned podcaster Joe Rogan recently explained why he agreed to interview then-former president Donald J. Trump. Rogan was appearing on the ‘Ultimate Human’ podcast when he spilled the beans.

Trump’s “Joe Rogan Experience interview” shifted the support of a significant number of Americans, particularly younger voters, in the president’s favor. According to Trump, the idea of appearing on Joe Rogan was his youngest son Barron’s idea.

However, Rogan was not keen on interviewing Trump, who was then labeled the greatest threat to Western Democracy, and Trump did not even know the podcaster.

“My son Barron recommended me to go on Joe Rogan and all these podcasters,” Trump said. “He knew all the names. I said ‘who is that?’ He said ‘Dad, I can’t believe you don’t know who this is.”

Trump’s Rogan interview went on to become one of the most-watched videos worldwide, amassing nearly 60 million views on YouTube. It also exposed the hypocrisy of the left after Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris refused to appear for a similar interview.

To save face, Kamala blamed scheduling conflicts. However, Rogan disclosed that the Democratic candidate refused to accept his terms, which included having no campaign staff present during the interview.

It is highly unlikely that Kamala could candidly discuss serious issues like border security as Trump did without reading from a script. Sunny Hostin even admitted that she may have regretfully sabotaged Kamala Harris’s campaign by asking a basic question on Hostin’s show “The View” about which issues the former Vice President would handle differently from Biden.

Rogan talked about why he decided to finally interview Trump:

“Well, there was a bunch of things that happened,” Rogan said. “First of all, there was the lawfare. There was these lawsuits that they were trying to pin on him.”

Rogan explained that the blatant persecution of Trump, cheered on by the lynch mob, and based on made-up charges regarding a “bookkeeping error” that was past the statute of limitations, was not fair.

“They were trying to convict him and turn him into a felon, and they were doing it so blatantly and obviously. The case with the bookkeeping error or the bookkeeping, whatever it was. The misdemeanor that they had charged him with 34 felonies for, which isn’t even a felony. It’s a misdemeanor, and it’s also past the statute of limitations. None of it made any sense. And people were cheering it on. ‘He’s a convicted felon.’”

The attempted assassination of Trump at his Butler, Pennsylvania, rally also weighed heavily in Rogan’s decision to interview the then-former president. Leftist media bias further pushed Rogan to step up and offer a level playing field for all candidates.

“There’s no real conversations with him where you’re just treating him like a human being,” he added. “Like everything, he’s being grilled and then everything’s taken out of context and I’m seeing him being taken out of context on the campaign trail and like it was just gross. It was just so anti-American.”

Disastrous Dem-Aligned Poll Paints Grim Picture of Party’s Prospects

A recent survey has painted a grim picture of the party’s popularity among American voters. Conducted by Democratic super PAC “Unite the Country” between May and June 2025, the survey found that the liberal party’s credibility has tanked dramatically.

“The Democratic Party’s credibility with voters has plummeted even further since the 2024 election, raising alarm bells as the party looks to rebuild ahead of the midterms and the next presidential election, according to a poll obtained by The Hill,” the far-left media outlet reported.

According to The Hill, the survey found that most American voters said the Democratic Party was “out of touch,” “woke,” and “weak.”

Among White and Hispanic men, as well as working-class Americans across the board, support for the Democratic Party has tanked to under 35%. Gone are the days when the Democratic Party was considered the advocate for middle-class Americans. Instead, illegal immigrants from foreign countries enjoy more privileges than hard-working Americans who hit a rough patch after losing their jobs and require some assistance to get back on their feet.

Hardworking Americans end up homeless, living on the streets, or in their cars. Conversely, foreign nationals who break our laws by entering the country illegally are housed in luxury hotels, provided with hot meals and free healthcare.

“This is the reality of the perception of us as a party, and until we accept that, it’s going to be hard to move forward,” said Democratic Party’s strategist and Unite America super PAC’s senior advisor Rodell Mollineau. “There’s a perception out there, outside of Democratic elites, and it’s taken hold in not just the MAGA crowd but people that should be with us.”

Mollineau advised the Democratic Party to acknowledge this fact and improve, rather than prioritizing winning the next election. Despite this, the now radical party is more focused on opposing Trump rather than asking what Americans want.

Issues like ending men’s participation in women’s sports, putting a stop to the medical mutilation for minors, and the deportation of criminal illegal immigrants receive widespread support among American voters. However, the Democratic Party swims against the tide just to be in opposition to Trump’s polices. To the radical Dems, Trump is the biggest threat to our democracy, despite promoting policies that the majority of Americans support.

“An AP-NORC poll out in May revealed that only 35 percent of surveyed Democrats are optimistic about the party’s future, compared with 57 percent in July 2024,” The Hill also reported. “And there is an overwhelming sense that the party lacks strong leaders, the same poll showed.”

The outlet also reported that donors were reconsidering bankrolling the party due to its lack of support and enthusiasm. Ironically, Democrat leadership believes it can generate more enthusiasm for the party by supporting illegal immigrants and inconveniencing ordinary Americans by supporting anti-ICE riots.

Just recently, anti-ICE rioters were roundly villified for mocking and berating a black woman, who begged to be allowed to pass in order to avoid losing her job her ability to support her family.

The Democratic Party performed poorly in 21 battleground counties and 10 battleground states. According to Politico’s Political Editor Steve Shepard, Trump won all battleground states (archive), after flipping all that supposedly “voted against” him in 2020.

The Hill reported that the overall perception of voters toward the Democratic Party remains negative, casting a long shadow on its prospects for the future. Its attempts to recover from the 2024 presidential election and subsequent midterm losses have been thus far unsuccessful.

“Democrats have been searching for a way out of the wilderness since their devastating loss in November, when they not only lost the presidency once again to President Trump but also the House and Senate,” the Hill noted. “Since then, party officials have conducted a number of postmortems — including polls, focus groups and strategy sessions — as part of the party’s rebuilding effort.”

Only time will tell if they get the message that the American People are giving them.

Will Atlanta Prosecutors Go Bloodthirsty in Charging Teens Who Cut Up Pride Flag?

When will it end? A group of teen boys is facing years in prison for stealing a couple of “pride flags” from an Atlanta gay bar and cutting them up. Stealing private property and destroying it is vandalism, at least, and anyone who does it should be prepared to pay the price.

But people aren’t talking about charging these minor boys with vandalism or mischief. The media, at least, definitely hopes prosecutors will throw the book at them for “hate crime” charges. It’s almost too much to have to type those words, as the very idea of a “hate crime” is flatly unconstitutional, though many states keep prosecuting using these unusual punishments. Stealing a piece of cloth does not, actually, become a more heinous crime simply because it’s a “gay” item,” or a “black” item.

What’s more? It’s not illegal to “hate.” It’s unlikely in the extreme that everyone who objects to the queer rainbow-ification of America actually “hates” “minorities” the way the phrase suggests. Few people, annoyed though they may be with the antics of sexual minorities, actually want to hang them or murder them. The incident took place on June 24 in the wee hours of the morning. Allegedly, six teen boys were caught on surveillance cameras swiping the flags from local gay bars. They can be seen riding scooters around on top of the painted-on-the-road “rainbow crosswalk” while they cut the stolen flags with knives.

You can see the video in this tweet from Collin Rugg. It’s hard to look at this 24 seconds of tape and conclude that these teens ought to face years in prison. And that’s what would happen if prosecutors decided to use the (again, unconstitutional) “hate crime enhancement” on top of whatever crime they charge the boys with. A “hate crime enhancement” could add fines and up to 12 years in prison.

Fair minded people can only hope the local prosecutors aren’t overly zealous. But it looks like they’re getting ready to be harshly punitive. According to Fox News, the four face charges of obstruction, conspiracy, criminal damage to property, and prowling, along with “a pending charge of a hate crime.” Two of the suspects are 18 years old, one is 16, and the other is 17, according to news reports.

Here’s a sampling of public reaction on Twitter/X. Some seem to want these kids to be roughed up by the justice system as if they’d left a bleeding victim behind.

Thankfully, most people haven’t turned their brains off:

BOMBSHELL: Staffers Who Wielded Biden’s Autopen Identified, Subpoenas Incoming

House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has disclosed that his committee has identified staffers who unleashed Joe Biden’s autopen when he was clearly in a state of mental decline.

During that period, Biden issued thousands of clemencies and presidential pardons, including to his own family members and administration officials, at a rate never seen in recent history.

However, the use of his autopen extends deep into his presidency when he issued numerous executive orders, of which he was likely unaware.

In January 2024, current House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) recounted how the former President was unaware that he had canceled liquified natural gas (LNG) exports to Europe, suggesting that someone had misused his autopen to sign the order. “Sir, why did you pause LNG exports to Europe?” Johnson asked. “Liquefied natural gas is in great demand by our allies. Why would you do that?”

Surprisingly, Biden answered, “I didn’t do that.”

In March 2025, President Trump also highlighted the potentially unauthorized wielding of a sitting president’s autopen and declared Biden’s politically motivated pardons null and void.

“Joe Biden did not sign them but, more importantly, he did not know anything about them!” Trump wrote. “The necessary Pardoning Documents were not explained to, or approved by, Biden. He knew nothing about them, and the people that did may have committed a crime.”

On Saturday, March 17, 2025, Trump called an audio released by Special Counsel Robert Hur that was related to the autopen use a “major part” of the alleged crime.

Meanwhile, appearing on Fox News, Rep. Comer announced that his committee had identified staffers behind the alleged unauthorized use of Biden’s autopen. “You are going and looking at who is controlling this autopen, because Joe Biden—he’s demonstrating that he doesn’t have all the cognitive capabilities he once had,” Fox News host Jason Chaffetz said.

Rep. Comer agreed that Biden was “clearly … in significant mental decline,” raising “questions about who was actually making the decisions.”

He added that the autopen use was “not just with the pardons he issued, but many of the executive orders that the courts are now using to ‘Trump-proof’ the government.”

“Many of these executive orders, as well as the pardons—including those involving Biden’s entire family—as a result of our investigation, were all signed with the autopen.”

Comer added that “many, many months before the heavy use of the autopen,” Biden was incoherent and unable to make decisions. He also disclosed that his committee had identified shadowy figures behind the use of Biden’s autopen. “We think we’ve identified who the staffers are. Jason, you all have done great work with that over at Heritage Oversight.” The Oversight Project had identified that all of Biden’s pardons had the same autopen signature, raising suspicions about their authenticity.

He also disclosed that his committee would summon the individuals behind the heavy wielding of Biden’s autopen to give a written disposition, of which failure to comply would force the committee to issue subpoenas. “We’re going to bring everyone we believe was involved in any role in the use of the autopen. We’re going to invite them to come in for a transcribed interview. If they decline, they will receive a subpoena and face a full-blown deposition.”

With Your Host, George Soros: A Look at the 227 Radio Stations Coming Under Billionaire Activist’s Control

Billionaire George Soros’ controlling interest in 227 radio stations — a quarter of the radio stations in the country — appears to be on track, but for the watchful eye of incoming Federal Communications Commission chief Brendan Carr.  Soros, and a conglomeration of companies under his control, received unprecedented approval from the FCC for the acquisition of Audacy in the wake of the company’s bankruptcy filing this year. But approval for the leftist billionaire’s purchase of the radio stations, which span 45 media markets reaching 165 million Americans, wasn’t just fast-tracked.

The FCC’s move broke with precedent by skirting a rule that protects U.S. communications channels from foreign influence. The FCC’s expeditious approval of the deal sidestepped the fact that the Soros-controlled Audacy will be more than 25% foreign-owned, which requires additional scrutiny the FCC withheld from the process.  Meanwhile, Audacy, presumably under Soros’ auspices, has re-upped a deal with Bloomberg to distribute news content across the syndicate’s news/talk markets.

Carr, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for the role, criticized the decision back in September, and told Fox News before Thanksgiving he intends to give the authorization a second look. Democrats Plan to Establish Supreme Court Term Limits

U.S. Senate Democrats have introduced legislation amending the constitution to establish term limits for Supreme Court justices — but with no term limits for Congress in sight.  Sens. Joe Manchin, I-W. Va., and Peter Welch, D-Vt., brought the bill forth this week limiting future Supreme Court appointees to 18-year terms. Manchin, along with Kyrsten Sinema, I-Az., recently angered Democrats’ left-most base in spoiling a Democrat-controlled National Labor Relations Board.

However, the proposed legislation may violate Article III of the Constitution. But what would happen if such a measure were taken up? The appointment of a new justice in the wake of a current justice’s rotation off the court might eventually inaugurate a cycle wherein a new justice was appointed every two years.

In other words, court appointments will be directly indexed to the winning presidential ticket. Advocates have said such a move would lower the temperature of Senate confirmation hearings. Whether that would actually transpire is unclear, but it would surely raise the stakes in presidential campaigns. In any event, the legislation represents a guarantee of two appointments per term, increasing the stakes in controlling the executive branch, if not a technical increase in executive power.

Trump Administration’s Proposed Deportations Will First Focus On 1.5 Million Who Committed Crimes

The incoming Trump administration has said it will prioritize the 1.5 million illegal immigrants who’ve committed crimes — a figure that ignores the crime of crossing the border in the first place — and the 1.3 million immigrants whose asylum requests were denied, but who remained in the country anyway. Of course, all other illegal aliens will be deported – this is just the first phase.

A recent Rasmussen poll shows 64% of Americans favor the incoming Trump administration’s mass deportation efforts. The poll showed remarkable sentiments on illegal immigration across demographics, to boot: “78 percent of white voters, 74 percent of black voters, and 70 percent of Hispanics all agree it is important to stop illegal immigration. This includes 61 percent of Democrats, 90 percent of Republicans, and 80 percent of Independents.”

Reports surfaced this week of migrant caravans forming again, in order to reach the U.S. before then. Meanwhile, Mexico President Claudia Sheinbaum is reported to be cooperating with Trump on the border after Trump reportedly wielded the threat of tariffs against Mexico.

Trump FCC Nominee Brendan Carr Will Fight Silicon Valley Censorship

Brendan Carr’s nomination  for Federal Communications Commission chair by President-elect Donald Trump resurfaces old fights over speech, regulation of communications providers, and net neutrality, but with a catch. Carr says he will take the fight to its proper battlefield: Silicon Valley.  The intangible nature of the FCC’s regulation of broadcast airwaves and other means by which Americans communicate — the internet chief among them — obscures from debates over such issues as net neutrality the more serious threats Americans have faced in exercising their rights to free speech. That threat has come in the form of censorship from major tech platforms such as Apple, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, and before Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter, that platform as well.

Those platforms enjoy, functionally, monopolistic dominance, and both massive license and protection from the government that shield platforms from liability for content users publish. That dynamic has crystallized over the past four years as it became apparent major tech platforms  also served as its de facto censorship arm. Carr has already notified tech companies the fight is coming to their door.

The litany of banned content and users being booted from major tech platforms have had grave downstream implications: Facebook’s suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story likely changed the outcome of the 2020 election.  The Covid pandemic spawned a new era of censorship as platforms quelled dissent over lockdowns and vaccine mandates.  Spotify very nearly stands alone among major streaming and publishing platforms in the COVID era for allowing dissenting views on both the origins of the virus and safety of mRNA vaccines in continuing to stream Joe Rogan’s popular podcast, which now dwarfs cable news audiences. Rogan interviewed leading doctors and scientists who questioned dominant Covid narratives.
