Popular Former LA County Sheriff Ditches Party of “Paid Protests, Purple Hair, and Pronouns” for GOP

Popular former LA County Sheriff has ditched the party of “paid protests, Purple Hair, and Pronouns” for common sense. Former Sheriff Alex Villanueva was a registered Democrat for over four decades, and the first to unseat an incumbent for over 100 years.

In a fiery social media post, he recently announced his change of allegiance from being a registered Democrat for 44 years, to joining the Republican Party.

“Today I announced ending 44 years as a registered Dem and joining the [GOP] Time to make [California] purple again!” former Sheriff Villanueva posted on X.

As to why he ditched the left, Villanueva said he was tired of the same antics that seemingly do not accomplish anything other than perpetuate identity politics, for something more concrete.

“As of today, I’m leaving the party of paid protests, purple hair, and pronouns. And I’m joining the party of faith, family, and freedom — the Republican Party,” he said.

Villanueva’s journey toward common sense started when he decided to clean homelessness on Boardwalk street. While it took longer than anticipated, he worked with Saint Joseph Center and conducted outreach programs to make the city beautiful again. 

However, homelessness and drug abuse are the bane of the Democrats, and Villanueva learned that very quickly. A concerted smear campaign by the far-left LA County Board of Supervisors ultimately led him to lose his seat against the incumbent Sheriff Robert Luna in 2022.

During his re-election campaign, Villanueva had also endorsed a Republican California Attorney General candidate, Nathan Hochman, who was George W. Bush’s assistant Attorney General in 2008, despite claiming that he was a “proud Democrat.”

“I’m a supporter of Nathan’s because it’s time we get serious about reducing crime, ending homelessness, and holding those in power accountable when they abuse that power or engage in corruption,” said Villanueva. “I want a partner at the state attorney general’s office … that will actually hold criminals accountable.”

During the campaign, Hochman praised Sheriff Villanueva as a great friend of law enforcement, which he promised not to defund.

“I’m not going to defund the police. I will provide more funds to the police so that they can do a better job, and I will treat them as partners in the solutions, rather than as enemies and part of the problem,” Hochman said.

However, he ultimately lost to the incumbent Democrat California Attorney General Rob Bonta, who is currently investigating Villanueva, on accusations of discouraging legitimate oversight and retaliating against public officials who opposed him.

Currently, Hochman serves as the District Attorney of Los Angeles County, having run as an independent candidate and unseated Democrat George Gascón.

Meanwhile, Villanueva’s decampment was received with open arms by California Republicans, including some who were themselves former Democrats. 

“[Alex Villanueva], you are not alone. Many classic liberals have noticed that [the California Democratic Party] has lost their way, and that they champion crime and criminals. You don’t *need* to be a Republican to vote for sanity, but it helps,” said Roxanne Hoge, chairwoman of the Republican Party of Los Angeles.

California Republican Party Chairwoman Corrin Rankin, who also decamped from the “party of paid protests, purple hair, and pronouns,” also welcomed Villanueva.

“I left the [Democratic] Party when I saw it no longer stood for the values I was raised with: personal responsibility, public safety, and freedom. [Alex Villanueva] made the same call. It takes courage, but it’s the right move. Welcome to our movement to restore common sense!” Rankin X’ed.

While Republicans are still a minority in the Golden State, former Sheriff Villanueva’s defection adds to a growing momentum of Democrats coming to their senses.

In April, Rutgers law professor Gary Francione also decamped from the Democratic Party after it insinuated that the “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act,” which aims to keep biological men out of women’s sports and bathrooms, empowers child sex predators.

“In light of the irresponsible and unhinged comments of @AOC, @RepJayapal, @RepJerryNadler and others concerning the bill to keep males out of girls’/women’s sports, and the 206 Democratic votes against the bill, I have, after decades as a Democrat, registered as an Independent,” he tweeted.

Imagine a conversation with a coworker. You tell your coworker about your divorce, and the problems of hashing out custody of your child in family court. You relate that the court gave you and your spouse each 50 percent custody. Your ex husband gets the kids two weeks out of the month, and you relate that you dropped the kids off with him after the hearing for his two weeks. 

Now imagine that friend said to you, “Why did the court allow your husband to kidnap the children? Why did they cooperate in kidnapping?”

You don’t understand, and ask for clarification from your coworker. She just repeats that the court “facilitated kidnapping,” even though you’re trying to explain that your ex is not kidnapping. He’s legally entitled to two weeks of custody per month, and that means the kids will be at his house, not yours, for those two weeks. It’s all above board, you say, and no kidnapping is happening. Both you and your ex are satisfied with the custody arrangement, it’s all legal, and there’s no conflict. 

“But the court helped your ex-husband kidnap your kids!” your co-worker insists. 

At this point, you’re looking for the nearest exit because there is clearly no talking to your coworker. She appears to be having a mental health episode. 

All that sounds strange and unbelievable, right? It’s happening in Congress right now as Democrats level an accusation at the Trump administration so bizarre it’s impossible to figure out what they’re actually thinking. The latest claim is that the Trump administration and Immigrations and Customs Enforcement are “deporting children” who are “U.S. citizens.”

The media is in on the lie, too, with headlines at CNN, the Washington Post, and others, falsely implying that the U.S. is deporting citizen children. 

Watch it happen on camera as House Rep. Veronica Escobar, Democrat from Texas, grills Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem about the allegedly “deported” children. 

You can tell what she’s doing just from the intonation in her voice regardless of what she’s saying. Escobar speaks in that affected leftist cadence that draws out the ends of words and makes them sound like questions when they’re statements. It’s a linguistic “uniform” that’s diagnostic of leftist politics. 

Escobar claims the U.S. is “deporting” children who are U.S. citizens. That’s false. The U.S. has not “deported” any children. It has deported some illegal alien adults who have children, and those parents decided, as is their right, to take their children with them when they leave the U.S.

Escobar seems to know she’s lying, and seems to be doing it deliberately. As Noem attempts to calmly correct Escobar’s misstatements, Escobar loses her composure and jumps on her with a Maxine Waters classic, “reclaiming my time.”

X users immediately picked up on Escobar’s dishonesty and condescension.

“I would say our country should be more fearful of white men across our country because they are actually causing most of the deaths in this country. . . we should be profiling, monitoring, and creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men.”

Take a guess at who said that, and when. 

It was U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar, a Muslim and Somalian immigrant to the United States. Isn’t that something. Can you imagine immigrating to Zaire as a white American, somehow being elected to public office, then going on television and saying that the country that adopted you should be more afraid of its own people? You can’t imagine it because the truth is that in America, racism goes in only one direction these days. If you’re black, hell, even if you’re of foreign extraction, you can say anything about white people you want. No matter how vile, no matter how undeserved, no matter how racist. 

Everyone knows that if a white elected official said what Omar said, her life would be in danger. Black people would very likely get violent with her; she’d certainly lose her political career, her job, and probably most of her family members. 

Yet this kind of blatant and vicious, bloodthirsty black racism against white Americans has been normalized. People barely remark on it anymore.

As so many things are in 2025, Omar’s claims are not only factually wrong, but they’re directly in opposition to reality. Per capita, as a percentage of the population, black men are so much more violent it’s almost absurd. Despite being only 13 percent of the U.S. population, blacks commit almost 52 percent of murders and violent cases of manslaughter. You can read the FBI statistics for yourself and find that in almost every category of crime, blacks are committing way more crimes than one would otherwise expect given their percentage of the population. It’s almost important to note in the column for white people, Hispanics are included as “white.”

Many black Americans are aware of this reality, and that’s why they were not going for the Black Lives Matter project of defunding the police. In surveys, black Americans consistently say they’re more worried about crime than we find among white people, and they want more police in their neighborhoods. 

But narcissistic politicians like Ilhan Omar know that naked antiwhite racism polls really well for them, so why not? 

Vice President JD Vance may have just opened the first chink in the wall. American white politicians are so cowed by lefist culture that they won’t even condemn this kind of rhetoric without apologizing and saying, “of course, racism against blacks is a very big problem.”

Not Vance. He said it plainly. “This isn’t just sick; it’s actually genocidal language. What a disgrace this person is.”

Hold your nose because this is a smelly story. The decline of manners, courtesy, and basic decency in America has been going on for decades and every day on social media brings a new low. If it’s not people snatching weaves and breaking furniture in Waffle House or Walmart, it’s young women in prostitute wear and young men with pants underneath their buttocks strolling down the street. 

At least in those cases there is some cloth covering the most sensitive parts of the body. Not for this lady we’re about to meet. Details about this story are light and little can be confirmed, but even the mainstream media is picking up on this story. 

It goes like this. Christina Solometo from Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, is sitting in a jail cell because of how she chose to deal with what looks like a case of road rage. Two drivers are involved. Solometo, and another driver, an unidentified woman. In the video below, Solometo said the other driver was “chasing me.” Solometo reviewed her choices for how to respond, and chose what you might call Option Number Two. 

She stopped her car, pulled her drawers down, aimed her backside at the other driver’s hood, and let loose. Be warned, the video below contains detailed footage of what Solometo ejected from her bottom all over the front of the other driver’s car. 

In the video shared by Collin Rugg, Solometo (she was identified in mainstream media reports) appears happy, almost gleeful, about her brown escapade. As the cops march her (clothed) into the paddywagon, Solometo has a smile on her face and she’s laughing. The other driver didn’t find it funny and had some choice, explicit words for Solometo. It makes you wonder whether there was some longstanding grudge between her and the other driver. 

Solometo doesn’t seem very concerned in the video about the price she’ll likely pay for taking the law–and her underwear–into her own hands. When questioned by a reporter about why she did what she did, Solometo said, “She chased me,” and “I have a sickness.” It is not clear what ailment causes sufferers to get out of their car and use another driver’s grill as a Porta-Potty. 

Solometo is charged with indecent exposure, littering on the highway, and more.

Over the course of at least 20 years, we have slid into a world of euphemistic, feminized public conversation full of feelings and empty of facts. The cultural rise of what you could call “resentment feminism,” which is really just female narcissism, has made it impossible for many alleged adults to use their brains. Oh, they claim they have “thoughts” about policy and societal questions, but they don’t. They have feelings. 

Everyone knows this is true. Look at the way we talk now, compared to 20 years ago. Even middle-aged adults—even men—talk about “vibes,” “feelz,” “inclusivity,” “belonging.” There’s been at least a 10-year social ban on recognizing that men in dresses aren’t women because we’re not allowed to “invalidate” “transwomen.” This is the product of a culture that has put the prototypical elementary school teacher on a cultural pedestal while wussifying boys and men. 

The change in tone, the infantilization of adult political discourse, is most obvious in the legacy news media. There was never a golden age in which the New York Times, CNN, and CBS only told the truth straight down the middle, but there was a time in living memory when you could expect at least some facts, and almost no overt “feelings,” in the pages of the newspapers of record. 

Today? News anchors blatantly editorialize during their broadcasts. The entire legacy media is liberal and woke, and hates Donald Trump with an intensity usually reserved for intra-family generational grudges. Women like Rachel Maddow on MSNBC drone on in histrionic terms, telling Americans that the Republican Party is bringing authoritarianism and fascism to the country because the President wants to deport illegal aliens. 

While no one was looking it became mainstream cultural opinion, at least in the media, that’s it’s “mean” to kick people out of the U.S. who broke in illegally. In April of 2025 we were treated to the astonishing spectacle of elected U.S. officials flying to El Salvador to do “wellness checks” on a Salvadoran gang member who finally got booted out of the country, which makes liberals sad. 

That’s why it’s such a treat to watch top Trump advisor Stephen Miller bring back fully adult, masculine, fact-based authority to the political conversation. The man knows the constitution and U.S. law backward and forward, and he tolerates no mewling emotional nonsense from the mainstream press. 

Check out this scolding Miller gave the White House press corps, which seems to have no idea what legal due process actually is. Bafflingly, they’re more concerned about the alleged “legal rights” of foreign nationals who bust into the U.S. than they are about the fact that some of these aliens are raping and murdering American women. 

A good portion of the American public is glad to hear. Here’s how people reacted on X/Twitter. 

Of course, there are always a few who have a hard time understanding clear, declarative sentences. Or, perhaps they’re just “fact-sensitive.”

The Trump administration continues to record remarkable progress in bringing back manufacturing despite the media-driven hysteria about the economy. Coinciding with Trump’s 100 days in office celebrations, retail giant Walmart announced a new buy American-made campaign dubbed “Grow With US.” 

The program, which aims to help small businesses, according to Axios, will make it “easier for U.S.-based entrepreneurs to navigate the complexities of retail and bring their products to a national stage.”

“We anticipate thousands of small businesses will take advantage of these free resources over the coming years,” John Furner, Walmart U.S. president and CEO, told Axios.

“Walmart has a long history of investing in U.S. manufacturing. Since Sam Walton first launched a ‘Buy American’ initiative in 1985, we have been committed to sourcing and selling products that support American jobs,” states the retail giant.

Since March 2021, the company has incrementally invested in a $350 billion fund to promote products made, grown, or assembled in the U.S. The initiative aims to create roughly 750,000 jobs within ten years.

In the 1980s, Walmart’s founder Sam Walton was concerned about losing customers due to factories and small businesses closing. He therefore aimed to boost domestic production by embedding the “Buy America” motto into the company’s corporate culture. Before Americans were taught to hate their country by liberals, the company’s products proudly displayed the “American made” labels. 

In the 1990s, many companies started shifting their production abroad, primarily to China. Since then, the company has resorted to importing most of its products from the communist nation, and the “Buy American” initiative became nothing more than a passing comment on corporate pages. 

Nonetheless, Walmart claims that more than “two-thirds of our total product spend on items made, grown or assembled in the United States” and that small businesses account for over 60% of its US suppliers.  It also claims that eligible small businesses can apply for financial support via Walmart’s Early Payment Program. Companies can also pitch already completed products for consideration.

“In addition to Grow with US, we recently announced that applications for our annual Open Call event will open June 24, 2025. Open Call offers U.S.-based small and medium-sized businesses the chance to pitch their shelf-ready products — made, grown, or assembled in the United States — directly to Walmart and Sam’s Club merchants,” the company stated.

Meanwhile, Walmart’s “Grow with US” initiative coincided with rumors that online retail giant Amazon would display tariff costs. However, the company denied those allegations after the Trump administration described the initiative as a hostile political act. 

“This is a hostile and political act by Amazon,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters. “Why didn’t Amazon do this when the Biden administration allowed inflation to reach the highest level in 40 years?”

The alleged hostile act resulted in Amazon shares dropping by 2% in anticipation of the e-commerce giant’s collision with the Trump administration. However, the company’s spox tried to soften the blow by claiming that the plan was only under consideration by the ultra-low-cost Amazon Haul store but was never approved.

“The team that runs our ultra low cost Amazon Haul store considered the idea of listing import charges on certain products,” Amazon spokeswoman Rachael Lighty told USA TODAY. “This was never approved and is not going to happen.”

As you know, it’s very difficult to be a minority in the modern United States of America. The U.S. is widely known for being among the most hostile countries in the world for anyone who is not white, for gay people, for trans people, for religious minorities, and for all women. 

Except it’s not because that’s the opposite of the truth.

It is breathtaking how American citizens who enjoy the highest standard of living and the most legal freedom in the world believe they are living in an oppressive authoritarian regime. And they really do seem to believe it. Modern feminists get dolled up in Handmaid’s Tale costumes to protest the “misogyny” of the U.S.. What’s the misogyny, where’s the hatred of women? Why, it’s in any law that restricts any woman from having an abortion at any time. Outlaw third trimester abortions? Misogyny. 

And for black people? It’s never been worse. Sixty-one years since the passage of the Civil Rights Act, and black people are held down harder and more cruelly than ever before. Sure, they have full legal enfranchisement, they’re picked for college admissions and granted professional jobs preferentially over more qualified white candidates, but someone actually arrested some black people for brawling in Waffle House. 

OK, you might say, but what about the hundreds to thousands of innocent, unarmed black men killed by police every year? That’s what people who self-identified as “very liberal” actually believe. A survey by Skeptic.com found that those who identified their politics this way said they believed U.S. police (all assumed to be white) kill 1,000 or more unarmed black men every year. 

The actual number every year? About 20 to 35 – most of which are justified, such an involving an unarmed black man grabbing for a weapon.

The adage about good times creating weak men (and women) is obviously true. Only extremely comfortable, privileged people can begin to believe that they are actually held down and oppressed. They simply haven’t had any real hard times, so they make them up in their minds.

So it is with this young black woman, an American who decided to escape what she believes is the racist hell-hole called the United States to live in the African country of Ghana. Turns out, though, that living in a third-world country isn’t all its cracked up to be. In a social media video, the woman complains about the bribery and fraud expected in Ghana, as well as about the “bullsh*t animals and scorpions.

If  you’re of a certain age, you remember how president Gerald Ford became the butt of national jokes for falling on a staircase. During a trip to Austria, Ford got to the bottom of the stairs exiting the airplane and tripped, falling down the last few steps. Everyone from Saturday Night Live on down to local bar comics mocked him for looking like a slapstick character out of a silent picture. 

Had that been Joe Biden (and it was, during Biden’s presidency), and had the year been 2020-2024, there would have been no joking in the national press or entertainment outlets. Even noticing that Biden fell  by pointing out the images on the videotape would have attracted screaming denunciations. He didn’t fall, they’d claim, he “merely stumbled.” And anyway, you noticing that he fell makes you a Nazi and it probably makes you insane. Have you spoken to your doctor about your mental state? 

That’s no exaggeration. We’ve been living in Opposite Land for years in the United States, but most acutely during the Biden presidency from 2020 through 2024. Recently the White House Correspondents’ Association held its annual dinner wherein it celebrated itself, and bestowed an award on an Axios reporter for his allegedly brave coverage (after the fact) of Joe Biden’s obvious senility. The reporter, Alex Thompson, said that he and the press “missed” the big story, and that the press had been misled. 

No one “missed” the obvious fact of Joseph R. Biden’s senility. No one. Every single person saw it live on TV, starting before 2020. No, it didn’t “become apparent” in his last year of the presidency. It was obvious before his term began. Biden lost the plot of conversations, stared into the distance, fell asleep during meetings, and forgot who among his staff and colleagues was alive or dead. 

But since that is an unflattering fact for the Democrats, they denied it with fury during Biden’s term, and accused people who noticed the problem of themselves being insane or mentally unwell, if not actually evil. It was utterly remarkable to witness. 

The reversal of the truth is the most common tactic used by the left today. They either deny reality outright, or they turn around and accuse those who notice reality of being unstable or delusional. Then, they turn around and accuse the other side of doing exactly the thing the Democrat side is actually doing. 

Democrat Rep. from New York Hakeem Jeffries is doing it right now. Jeffries, the House Minority Leader,  is claiming it is Trump, not former president Biden, who is mentally unfit for office. Folks, you have to see and hear it to believe it. Here’s Booker on the MeidasTouch podcast:

“Donald Trump spent the last year and a half questioning the cognitive ability of President Joe Biden not withstanding many of the legislative accomplishments that Donald Trump can only wish he got over the finish line,” Jeffries said. 

He then says many people around him are asking whether President Trump is fit to “carry out the duties” of his office. It’s just a simple reversal. 

Naturally, Biden was among those publicly denying Biden’s senility.

White Americans have been under a spell since at least the 1960s with the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. What was supposed to be, and should have been, the great legal leveler that banished government discrimination against any race of people has instead been used as a cudgel against white people while blacks predate on each other and everyone else. 

You can see that it’s a magical spell by the way people talk. Everyone in the U.S. sees the explosion of horrific behavior from black people. Everyone. Everyone knows it’s true. Everyone knows it’s thuggish and disgusting and dangerous, but everyone is terrified of calling it thuggish, disgusting, and dangerous. What scares white people the most, even more than an actual threat to their lives, is the idea of being called “racist.”

Who do we see brawling in online videos every day? American blacks. 

Who’s tearing up the furniture and shredding people’s hair at Waffle House? Blacks. 

So decent, law-abiding people pretend they don’t see what’s going on. They pretend that it’s not true that America’s black population is responsible for the majority of violent crimes. They pretend it’s not true that black people are enormously more likely to hurt or kill a white person than the other way around. But all of that is true. 

When a white person begins to emerge from the spell, he tiptoes as if he’s trying to sneak past a sleeping monster. He hems and haws, and uses lots of qualifying language. “I don’t want to seem racist but,” or “I know this may sound racist, and I wish to assure you that I have the utmost respect for the African American experience and the burden of slavery,” are common excuses from white people who think they need permission to notice that the black people around them are on a hair trigger. 

That was the approach Bill Mitchell took in a recent post on X. The CEO of Your Voice Studios tentatively, apologetically, asked why it seemed to always be blacks who were brawling in public. 

In his post, Mitchell wrote:

“I hesitate to post this because I don’t want to sound racist but I have to ask. 

Are these huge brawls in public between black people a cultural thing? Because you never really see a bunch of white people fighting in the street or in a public place like a mall or an airport or a restaurant.

And the head-stomping part. I mean that’s attempted murder. You could go to prison for years for that and even though they’re being filmed, they seem to do it with abandon.

I’m having a hard time comprehending the whole thing.”

Only because we’re living in a society that has allowed blacks to get away with violence and murder (just look at the people who donated half a million dollars to 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony who admitted to knifing and killing a white teen at a track meet) for decades does anyone say “I don’t want to sound racist” before making such an obviously true statement. 

Let’s take a look at the responses to Mitchell’s post. Naturally, you have some liberal white people lying so they “don’t look racist.”

Hold onto your hat because I’m about to break some unbelievable news: two Democrat activist judge are actually going to face consequences for their illegal (in my view, treasonous) behavior. Both of them were caught hiding, or helping to escape, illegal aliens. That’s right. They were both on the side of illegal aliens and tried to help them evade arrest and deportation. 

First up is Milwaukee County Circuit judge Hannah Dugan, who found herself in handcuffs on April 25. Why? Because she tried to help an illegal alien–a defendant in her courtroom–escape detection by immigration officers. According to a complaint from the U.S. Dept. of Justice, judge Dugan was trying a case in which illegal Mexican alien Eduardo Flores-Ruiz was being tried for battery. Judge Dugan was apparently so upset at contemplating that the border jumper would be deported that, according to the DOJ, she led the defendant and his lawyer through a back door so he could evade federal agents in the lobby waiting to arrest him. 

FBI director Kash Patel said, “We believe Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, allowing the subject — an illegal alien — to evade arrest.”

Next up is a former magistrate judge in New Mexico, Joel Cano, along with his wife, Nancy. The government claims judge Cano was hiding a member of the violent Venezualan gang Tren de Aragua gang, another illegal alien, in his own home. A photo from Fox News alleges to show Joel Cano and his family hanging out in the kitchen with the gang member. 

Attorney General Pam Bondi appeared on Fox News and described the brazen lawbreaking alleged against judge Dugan. She said, “She comes back into the courtroom. You’re not going to believe this. Takes the defendant and the defense attorney back in her chambers. Takes them out a private exit and tells them to leave. While the state prosecutor and victims of domestic violence are sitting in the courtroom.”

This shouldn’t be predictable because it’s insane, but it is predictable: the Democrats are losing their everloving minds. The very idea that a judge could be arrested for breaking the law seems to be entirely new to them.
