CNN Races to Save Bottom Line By Axing “Race and Equality” Desk

Too bad, so sad! CNN is getting rid of its Race and Equality team, just in time for a hot summer. It looks like the wokest network on cable television (well, OK, it’s neck and neck with MSNBC) is finally getting the “go woke go broke” memo.

Three reporters are leaving the now-canceled beat. One was fired, while the other two were reassigned; it’s not clear who they may have been. This is part of a larger 100-person lay-off at the network. Unsurprisingly, the “Race and Equality” desk was set up in the religious fervor surrounding the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis in 2020. You remember—the U.S. went nuts, leftists and Black Lives Matter members burned cities and government buildings.

And best of all, CNN itself birthed a meme when its on-camera reporter stood live in front of burning buildings in Kenosha, Wisconsin in the background while describing the protests as “mostly peaceful.”

Mainstream media has been left-wing media for decades, of course. But the hard turn to insane left really kicked off with the death of George Floyd, and was further entrenched by the delirium that gripped America over the Covid-19 virus. Reporting became all-race, all the time, with white people and conservatives blamed for, well, everything, all the time.

Though it’s not like their non-DEI news desks are much better – don’t forget their coverage of the attempted Donald Trump assassination only days ago, which they attempted to portray Trump being rushed off stage after falling at a rally.

It looks like CNN is belatedly learning what Bud Light learned when its value tanked after teaming up with a drag queen pretending to be woman. And just last month, rural farm supply chain Tractor Supply reversed course and vowed to stop donating to and working with leftist social justice organizations after customers complained.

Let’s check in on social media to see what the public thinks about CNN’s latest move.

Goodness-folks don’t seem very broken up about it.

CNN might be learning it now.

This user asks a good one: Why have a “race team” at all?

Sometimes a picture does what words cannot.

Biden Campaign Pressures Radio Station to Edit Interview; Station Complies!

The hits just keep on coming from LibsofTikTok, probably the most important social media account uncovering the deceptions in leftist politics from “trans children” to the Biden camp’s skullduggery.

This won’t surprise any Wokespy reader: A Wisconsin radio station says the Biden campaign pushed them to make two edits to a recorded interview with the President. Worse? Civic Media, the progressive station, buckled under and said yes, sir. Now having been caught, the progs on the air are admitting to falling short of their own journalistic interview standards:

Wait a minute. If the edits were “non-substantive,” then what would have motivated the Biden campaign to ask for the removal of “two short segments”? Something doesn’t add up. The station claims that it will make the full interview available now online, but who can trust that they’ll be telling the truth and sharing the whole thing?

Apparently, one of the removed segments quoted President Biden as saying, “I have more black in my administration than any other president,” along with a statement about Donald Trump’s statements regarding the famous Central Park Five rape case. Contrary to popular belief, the five accused and convicted in that case were *not* exonerated.

The Wisconsin radio interview with the president was conducted on July 3 by Civic Media host Earl Ingram. It appeared to be part of what you might call Biden’s “recovery campaign,” a futile attempt to convince the public that he is not the senile, incoherent 81-year-old that the entire country saw with their own eyes. During the June 27 CNN debate with Donald Trump, Biden shambled onto the stage looking like a reanimated corpse. He was frequently inaudible and incoherent, making statements that were impossible to understand, interspersed with moments of Biden staring off into space with a slack-faced expression.

Social media users reacted to the LibsofTikTok post with derision and skepticism.

That’s what we’re thinking. Did the campaign truly just “ask” for the edits?

User floridanow1 said:

It makes a person suspect more media are going to start admitting to their manipulation because, why not? There are never any consequences for this lying and deception, but there are plenty of incentives for legacy and progressive media to keep it up.

Biden Campaign Deals “Disinformation” with Fake “Trump” Website

There seems to be no end to the deception that Joe Biden, his family, and his campaign will engage in to keep the senile octogenarian in the White House this fall. Online conservative news outlet “amuse” has discovered that the Biden campaign bought a domain name and created a website in order to fool Americans into believing Donald Trump was associated with a controversial policy paper called Project 2025.

Amuse claims the Biden campaign has posted the fake site on its Twitter/X account, and that’s been seen by at least 1.5 million users.

Despite the Biden campaign’s lies and the public’s misunderstanding, Project 2025 is not Donald Trump’s creation. It is a project of the conservative Heritage Foundation, and Donald Trump has repeatedly clarified that he does not control it and is not involved with it.

The position paper outlines a “180-day playbook” describing what it hopes a President Trump would do in the first 6 months of the presidency. Some of the policy positions include reinvigorating the concept of the family as the most important part of American life, outlawing porn, retreating from economic relations with China, closing the U.S. border, and getting rid of “non-performing” federal workers.

The fake Biden-created website is trumpsproject2025.com. On Twitter, “amuse” notes that the U.S. Department of Justice seized two Russian domains on the same day that the Biden campaign launched its fake site. Why did they seize the Russian sites? Irony of ironies—for spreading election “disinformation.”

There is so much lying that takes place online that some users did not initially believe the “amuse” report.

Amuse shot back with this:

Others immediately picked up on the “rules for thee, but not for me” operating style of the Biden White House.

Another user pointed out how sloppy power-hungry politicians will get when they correctly detect that there are seldom, if ever, any consequences for them. Be careful though, and note that this user is not actually Elon Musk, but a parody account!

CNN’s Jake Tapper Shocks Nation By Telling The Truth

It’s amazing what a bit of reality can do when it hits someone smack in the face.

Like almost every other legacy news network, CNN has long abandoned any standards of objectivity in journalism. Since at least 2016 when Donald Trump was elected president, the network has joined MSNBC and most others to act as nakedly partisan shills for the Democratic Party. No lie—the “Russiagate” hoax, the denial over Hunter Biden’s laptop— was too untruthful to tell so long as it helped keep Bad Orange Man out of office.

But now, in a segment some are calling the “the greatest CNN segment in history,” Joe Biden has been such a trainwreck that even Jake Tapper is excoriating him.

What makes it so remarkable? Well, the fact that Tapper tells the candid truth and does not pretend that he cannot see what the rest of us can see: Joe Biden is a very old man in the grip of senile dementia. We’re so used to the press blatantly lying about what we can all see that it’s disorienting to hear so much truth from cable news.

Tapper starts out this way: “In reality, 72 percent of voters say they believe President Biden is too old; that’s according to CNN’s most recent polling. Voters have been saying this for quite a long time. The reality is that the Democratic elites are mostly late to acknowledge these age inability issues compared to the rest of the public.”

You’re late, too, Tapper, but we suppose better late than never. Of course, it’s nigh-on impossible for Tapper not to face the truth as he co-moderated the debate between Trump and Biden in which Biden presented to the world as a shambling reanimated corpse.

Tapper then quotes Biden directly to underscore how badly Biden’s brain has declined. He reads the following words from the President:
“Fact of the matter is how can you assure you’re going to be out on you know your way to go you know work tomorrow age age wasn’t you know the idea that I’m too old.”

Then Tapper says, “Keep in mind, that soundbite is supposed to be reassuring.”

Let’s see what Twitter/X users had to say.

Many are appropriately skeptical about CNN’s turn-about.

We feel pretty sure this post speaks for most Wokespy readers:

White House Waffles on Kids’ Sex Change Surgeries

Like with every issue, the Biden White House cannot figure out its position on so-called “gender affirming care” (also known as “genital mutilation”) for children and minors. First they’re all for it, then they’re for some parts of it but not others, and then they’re back to supporting the most extreme medical interventions. At issue now is whether the White House supports sex-change surgery for kids.

The reason for this waffling appears to be that neither Biden nor anyone in the administration is actually making these decisions. Instead, radical campaigning groups are doing it for them. Sleuths on Twitter/X have put together a chain of rapidly “evolving” statements from the White House after apparent interference from the Human Rights Campaign. HRC began as a gay rights organization but has transformed into a pressure group that endorses the chemical poisoning of children and surgical sex-changes.

It would have us believe there are 2 million people living in the U.S. who are “transgender” and born in the wrong body. And even more unbelievable, we’re to believe that this population somehow sprung up out of nowhere in the past two decades or so.

Let’s walk through the recent White House statements.

Noah Pollak points to evidence that the White House is updating its positions based on feedback from HRC.

This leads to a chain of posts from Jennifer Block, who has “the receipts”:

The White House starts out surprisingly taking the morally sane position, that it’s wrong to give children sex-change hormones and surgeries.

But wait, there’s more:

At first glance, it doesn’t look like a big change, but it is. In the original, the White House opposes surgeries on children, and it keeps that statement of opposition in the update. But it also changes some key phrases, perhaps in order to give itself plausible deniability and wiggle room with activists who definitely want to see child surgeries.

The original statement (emphasis added): “We continue to support gender-affirming care for minors like mental health care and respect the role of parents, families, and doctors in these decisions.”

The updated statement (emphasis added): “We continue to support gender-affirming care for minors, which represents a continuum of care, and respect for the role of parents, families, and doctors in these decisions.”

Would that “continuum” of care include removing the breasts of healthy minor girls?

Jennifer Block shows us the emails from HRC taking pride in their successful push to get the White House to change its statement in mere hours:

“Pressure is working. This would not have happened without all of us.”

Indeed.

Almost half of U.S. states have banned most or all medical interventions for so-called “trans kids”. It’s the conservative states protecting children while liberal states like Vermont and Minnesota create themselves as “sanctuary states” for “trans kids” and facilitate their medical abuse.

When did protecting children from mutilation become a partisan affair?

Idaho Town Bans Crosses in Parade, Residents Disobey

Cast your mind back to the turn of the 21st century and you may remember the rise of a group called the “new atheists.” Led by evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins, this was an ad-hoc group of scientists, philosophers, and regular people who thought religion had crept too far into government. They seemed particularly concerned with the then-current effort to get so-called “intelligent design” (creationism) into school science classes, but their real goal was the complete irradiation of religion from society.

The war is likely to be rekindled in the courts with Louisiana recently passing a law requiring the 10 Commandments to be displayed in classrooms. Meanwhile, Oklahoma’s state schools superintendent has ordered public schools to teach the Bible.

Over the years, the hostility to religion in public life has gone much farther than even Dawkins might have wanted (as evidenced by recent comments from him praising “cultural Christianity” – and citing Christianity as a bulwark against Islam).

Exhibit A: Coeur D’Alene Idaho, of all places, banned crosses from its 2024 Independence Day Parade. No, we can’t figure out how the city government believed it had the power to overturn citizens’ First Amendment rights this way. Nor can we figure out why the government believed people would obey such an egregious diktat.

Happily, people did not obey. This video shows that for all its trouble, Coeur D’Alene city officials had to watch a parade chock full of Christian symbolism.

It was so epic even some of the non-religious approved of it.

A number of Christians have noted that America isn’t just neutral on faith anymore, it’s actively hostile to Christianity.

There’s always one leftist who goes hyperbolic over anything that’s not their personal favorite:

Dallas Jail Calls Black Illegal Alien Murder Suspect “White”

If you like Wokespy, you’d like Blaze commentator and writer Auron MacIntyre. He’s pretty dogged on the woke beat, bringing out example after example of once-normal U.S. institutions gone mad.

This one’s a doozy. Some readers will probably think, “that must be a clerical error.” Must it, though? We live in a country where we are expected to believe and say that men can be women, that children can be born in the wrong body, and that it’s loving health care to mutilate the genitals and endocrine systems of minors.

We also live in a country where we are expected to repeat and believe that black Americans have it as bad or worse now as they did under Jim Crow, and before the Civil Rights Act. Companies are brazenly breaking federal anti-discrimination laws by openly restricting jobs to “people of color,” while the government itself privileges black citizens over white ones.

This writer is not so sure the example below can be chalked up to a typo.

We have a picture of a man that nearly anyone would describe as black or Hispanic-black. There isn’t a single adult of ordinary mental competence who would describe this alleged murderer as a white man.

According to the Blaze article, 44-year-old Yunier Aldazabal stabbed his girlfriend to death then fled in a car. He is an illegal alien, although his country of origin is not yet publicly known.

Why is the Dallas County Jail describing him as white? After all, they have many other options in their system.

Let’s see what social media users think. Several say their states are pulling the same fast one.

Maybe 10 years ago you’d be tempted to say Charmane was a “conspiracy theorist”. But now?

VP Harris Breaks Irony Meters Across America After SCOTUS Decision

It would be cute if it weren’t maddening. Vice President Kamala Harris is worried that a Trump administration would weaponize the government and persecute their political opponents. You’ve got to watch and listen to believe it:

If Trump were to do that, he’d be taking a page out of the Biden/Harris playbook to do so (among that of many other swamp creatures).

Harris was reacting to the recent Supreme Court decision that established that presidents have absolute immunity from legal prosecution for official acts. Chief Justice John Roberts clarified that no president is “above the law,” and that immunity does not apply to non-official acts.

Reversing the truth seems to be the only tool in the left’s belt, and Madam Vice President did it like a pro. In the video, she tells the reporter, “When we have a candidate in Donald Trump who’s openly said he’ll be a dictator on day one, that he will weaponize the Department of Justice against his political enemies, it’s very likely that he could be immune from those kinds of acts.”

The grammatical confusion in the quote above is as spoken by Harris. She goes on to stump for another Biden-Harris presidency, saying the stakes are too high for Americans under Trump.

The rest of the left immediately began shrieking too, of course, and they seemed to reverse the meaning of the court’s ruling. California Rep. Zoe Lofgren gives a good example in theorizing that Biden could dispatch the military to take out conservative Justices in the court.

Of course, the SCOTUS ruling would allow no such thing, and Harris and her ilk know this. But since when has that ever stopped the queen of confusion from tossing us another word salad. After all, this is the woman who can’t stop saying, “I can imagine what can be, unburdened by what has been.” Here’s a greatest hits round up.

Let’s see what Twitter/X users had to say about Harris’ fears of a Trump dictatorship.

This user got it right.

Oh, the Humanity! WaPo Columnist Jen Rubin’s Crackpot History

Oh, Jennifer.

Jennifer Rubin, the Washington Post columnist, has managed the neat trick that a faction of politicians have. Despite spilling almost all of her ink on how terrible-horrible-no-good-very-bad Donald Trump is, she’s still referred to as a “conservative.” Of course, it’s perfectly possible to be a conservative who doesn’t like Donald Trump. But when one appears to make a full-time job out of it, it’s fair to ask which side of the bread the butter is really on.

Rubin really put her foot in it on Twitter/X recently, but let’s start with her branding and presentation.

“Dissenting” seems to be a trend among American women this past decade. They’re dissenting in pussy hats against “patriarchy,” they dissent while beatifying the late Supreme Court justice Ruth Ginsberg, they put on Dutch maid costumes and dissent against abortion laws, as depicted here in a scene from the Texas statehouse this week.

This week, Jennifer is dissenting about the Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity by lifting the histrionic line from Justice Sotomayor’s minority opinion.

Again, Rubin presents herself as a conservative for reasons unknown, but she’s plumping for the Biden-Harris ticket.

Ah, “our democracy.” The 2024 mating cry of middle-aged female leftists.

In one blast from the past, she got completely destroyed during an appearance on The O’Reilly Factor when she was pressed for evidence of her arguments by O’Reilly, leading to her flipping through pages of notes only to realize she had nothing of substance.

But this contribution on the Biden age issue takes the cake, where she attempts to make a Nazi analogy (how original) that backfired instantly due to people actually understanding history.

One almost feels bad for her (almost). Rubin is trying to mock those voting for Trump by making an analogy to the 1932 elections in Germany. But she has it backward—Germans voted for Hindenburg, not for Hitler, in 1932. She got “Community-noted” on Twitter—that’s when a number of people correct a misstatement. The correction appears along with the original tweet.

The fun is in the reactions.

You just knew someone would do this.

User KH wonders if Jennifer has had a tipple.

Shark Tank’s “Mr. Wonderful” Says DEI is Deadly for Biz

Investor and sometime reality TV Star Kevin O’Leary has had it with companies drifting ever-leftward. “Mr. Wonderful,” famous for his appearances on the reality show Shark Tank, spoke to NBC News about the farm-supply chain Tractor Supply’s recent decision to axe all spending on “woke” causes.

The company recently said it would stop cooperating with LGBTQ pressure group Human Rights Campaign, it’s getting rid of all positions having to do with Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI), and it won’t be spending on any social issues outside of its mission to serve rural Americans.

During an appearance on NBC, O’Leary said Tractor Supply’s recent move was a case study he’s going to add to his teaching practice at Harvard business school. Anheuser-Busch, O’Leary noted, is still “losing market share” over its disastrous partnership with a crossdressing man for a publicity campaign.

He asks students one question: “Who do you serve when you start a business?” O’Leary says the order of priority for any business should be: 1. customers 2. employees 3. investors.  Why would a business focused on rural farm supplies be catering to an urban, leftist agenda?

“I think this company is looking at it saying, are we really responsible for climate change? A social agenda? Gender identity? Are these the things that we should actually be investing in or should we take care of our customers?,” he asked.

It seems like a simple, obvious question, but it also seems like few American corporations have asked it of themselves. According to business researchers at Harvard, American companies spend about $8 billion annually on DEI initiatives that likely have nothing at all to do with their bottom line.

O’Leary had a good time sending up the lecturing tone of the woke hucksters when he jokingly asked if the “hog community” on a farm really cares about the social justice spending done by the farm feed store. You can watch the whole segment below.

“The pendulum is swinging back to normalcy,” O’Leary said. “American is saying enough already, this stuff is too crazy, it doesn’t work, it’s not the core of what a business is about.”

It’s a biased sample, of course, but those who read O’Leary’s Twitter/X feed seem to agree.

Some wish O’Leary had gone even farther.
