A Transportation Security Administration employee who identifies as transgender has filed a federal lawsuit challenging a new Department of Homeland Security policy that restricts TSA pat-downs to an officer’s actual sex, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.
The policy stems from an executive order signed by President Donald Trump on his first day back in office, which ended federal recognition of transgender status for workforce purposes.

The employee, Danielle Mittereder, began working for the TSA in June 2024 and is currently assigned to Dulles International Airport in Virginia. Mittereder’s lawsuit, filed earlier this month, argues that the new policy violates federal civil rights law.
According to the complaint, “Solely because she is transgender, TSA now prohibits Plaintiff from conducting core functions of her job, impedes her advancement to higher-level positions and specialized certifications, excludes her from TSA-controlled facilities, and subjects her identity to unwanted and undue scrutiny each workday.”
The filing states that Mittereder “identified and presented as a woman” throughout his employment and performed female passenger pat-downs between October 2024 and Feb. 7, 2025.
He conducted several pat-downs per shift during that period. After Feb. 7, however, the president’s executive order barred him from performing pat-downs on women.
The lawsuit contends, “By prohibiting Plaintiff from conducting pat-downs because she is transgender, TSA discriminates against her for failing to fulfill traditional sex stereotypes.”
Mittereder claims the policy caused “anguish and humiliation,” leading him to take leave for the remainder of his Feb. 7 shift as well as Feb. 8 and Feb. 11.
The Associated Press contacted the Department of Homeland Security for comment. DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin responded in a statement reported by Fox News:
“Does the AP want female travelers to be subjected to pat-downs by male TSA officers?” She added, “What a useless and fundamentally dangerous idea, to prioritize mental delusion over the comfort and safety of American travelers.”
Jonathan Puth, an attorney representing Mittereder, said the administration’s policy is “terribly demeaning and 100% illegal.”

The case highlights the first major legal challenge to the Trump administration’s reinstatement of sex-based federal employee policies. No court hearings have been scheduled.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Monday that three of his offices in New York received bomb threats sent by email, each containing the subject line “MAGA” and messages alleging that the “2020 election was rigged,” as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

According to Schumer, the threats were directed at his offices in Rochester, Binghamton, and Long Island.
“This morning, I was informed by law enforcement entities throughout New York of multiple bomb threats that were made at my offices in Rochester, Binghamton, and Long Island with the email subject line ‘MAGA’ and from an email address alleging the ‘2020 election was rigged,’” Schumer said.
Local and federal law enforcement responded and conducted security sweeps at the affected offices. Schumer said all staff were safe.
“Everyone is safe, and I am grateful for their quick and professional response to ensure these offices remain safe and secure for all New Yorkers.”
U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer holds a can of insect repellant as he speaks outside the county health department offices in Pomona Oct. 9, 2024. Schumer, along with Rockland County Executive Ed Day, was on hand to talk about mosquito control and the danger of Eastern Equine Encephalitis, the potentially fatal virus that humans can contract through the bite of an infected mosquito.
Schumer also issued a broader statement on threats toward public officials, saying, “As I have said many times, these kinds of violent threats have absolutely no place in our political system. No one—no public servant, no staff member, no constituent, no citizen—should ever be targeted for simply doing their job.”
He later addressed the threats from the Senate floor on Monday afternoon.
The announcement comes during a period of heightened national attention on security incidents.
Last week, two West Virginia National Guard members were shot in an ambush-style attack allegedly carried out by an Afghan national who entered the U.S. during the Biden administration.
One service member, Sarah Beckstrom, died from her injuries, and Andrew Wolfe remains hospitalized.
Law enforcement investigations into the threats against Schumer’s offices remain ongoing, and no additional details have been released about the sender or the origin of the emails.
Former NBC “Today” anchor Matt Lauer is reportedly exploring a return to the media industry nearly eight years after he was fired over allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior.
According to People, a source familiar with the situation said Lauer “wants to get back into the media arena in some capacity, if not TV” and has “talked to some people about it,” as reported by Page Six.
Lauer, now 67, was terminated by NBC in November 2017 after the network received what it described as a “detailed complaint from a colleague” and determined there was reason to believe the conduct “may not have been an isolated incident.”
Page Six separately reported that Lauer had been accused of sending lewd messages and explicit photos to female NBC staffers, including a young intern.
Following his firing, two additional women came forward with allegations. One woman said Lauer summoned her to his office for sex and said she “felt helpless because she didn’t want to lose her job.”
Lauer issued a public apology the day after his dismissal, but also claimed that some of the accusations were “untrue.”
“There are no words to express my sorrow and regret for the pain I have caused others by words and actions,” Lauer said at the time.
“To the people I have hurt, I am truly sorry.” He added that some claims were “untrue or mischaracterized,” while acknowledging “there is enough truth in these stories to make me feel embarrassed and ashamed.”
In the aftermath of the scandal, Lauer and his then-wife Annette Roque, divorced, finalizing the split two years later. Since leaving NBC, Lauer has kept a low profile and has largely stayed out of public view while living in the Hamptons.
The People source said Lauer remains “still angry” over “the way he was treated by the industry” and by people he “thought were his friends.”
Over the past several years, the source said Lauer has focused on being a “good father” to his three children — Jack, 24, Romy, 22, and Thijs, 18 — and spending time with them.
Earlier this year, former CNN journalist Don Lemon publicly predicted Lauer’s return to the news industry, saying “the public misses him.”
A 20-year-old Florida resident was arrested over the weekend after authorities said he posted a video on TikTok threatening a school shooting as part of an attempt to generate online reactions, as reported by The New York Post.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Ethan Ladner of Santa Rosa Beach on Sunday, charging him with making electronic threats of a mass shooting.
Santa Rosa Beach Man Charged After TikTok Threat of School Sh**ting
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office was alerted this weekend after the FBI flagged a TikTok livestream in which 20-year-old Ethan Ladner of Santa Rosa Beach made threatening comments about a planned school… pic.twitter.com/KUGYbHw5x4
According to the sheriff’s office, the investigation began after the FBI flagged the video, which had been uploaded to TikTok and later removed from the platform.
Authorities said Ladner admitted to posting the comments that appeared in the clip and acknowledged that he had intended to provoke responses online.
“Ladner admitted to posting the threatening comments and said he was attempting to provoke reactions online,” the Walton County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
The agency emphasized that all threats directed at schools are treated as credible until proven otherwise.
“Let us be clear. There is no such thing as a ‘joke’ when it comes to threats of violence toward our schools,” the sheriff’s office said.
The statement noted that “even comments made ‘as a joke’ can result in criminal charges, school discipline, and long-term consequences that follow someone for life.”
Local authorities stressed that investigations involving school-related threats are handled with urgency, regardless of how the individual responsible characterizes their actions.
Officials did not identify a specific school referenced in the video and did not release further details about the nature of the threat. The sheriff’s office confirmed only that the video had been taken down shortly after it was reported.
Ladner is facing a felony charge under Florida law pertaining to electronic communications that threaten a mass shooting or act of terrorism.
Authorities said the case remains under investigation and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
The arrest comes amid broader concerns among law enforcement agencies nationwide about threats circulated on social media platforms.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reiterated its policy of pursuing criminal charges in cases involving school-related threats, regardless of the intent stated by the person involved.
Ladner was taken into custody without incident. No additional arrests have been announced, and authorities have not disclosed whether Ladner has obtained legal representation.
An internal memo from the Food and Drug Administration states that at least 10 children died as a result of receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
The findings were detailed in a 3,000-word document written by Dr. Vinay Prasad, director of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, and circulated inside the agency on Friday.
According to the memo, the review focused on 96 child deaths reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System.
Dr. Prasad wrote that “no fewer than 10” of the deaths were determined to have been caused by the vaccine.
“I am writing to report that OBPV career staff have found that at least 10 children have died after and because of receiving COVID-19 vaccination,” he stated.
The memo also described myocarditis as a major concern identified during the evaluation.
Dr. Prasad wrote that the condition affected younger individuals at higher rates than older adults.
“Unlike the COVID virus, which has a steep age gradient— being at least 1000 times more likely to kill an 80 year old than an 8 year old— myocarditis appeared to have the opposite pattern. Young, healthy boys and men— those least likely to experience bad covid outcomes— bore the greatest risk,” he wrote.
Dr. Prasad said he believed federal health agencies did not fully confront the implications for younger populations.
He stated that “the FDA and CDC abdicated their duty to the American people” by not addressing the risks to young boys with greater scrutiny.
As part of the memo, he summarized the results of the agency’s internal review, which categorized cases on a causality scale.
“In this scale ranging from certain to unlikely— certain, possible/ likely, and probable are broadly considered as related to the product.
The team has performed an initial analysis of 96 deaths between 2021 and 2024, and concludes that no fewer than 10 are related. If anything, this represents conservative coding, where vaccines are exculpated rather than indicted in cases of ambiguity. The real number is higher,” the memo said.
Dr. Prasad wrote that the findings mark a significant development in the government’s assessment of vaccine safety.
“This is a profound revelation. For the first time, the US FDA will acknowledge that COVID-19 vaccines have killed American children. Healthy young children who faced tremendously low risk of death were coerced, at the behest of the Biden administration, via school and work mandates, to receive a vaccine that could result in death,” he wrote.
“It is horrifying to consider that the US vaccine regulation, including our actions, may have harmed more children than we saved.”
He added that the impact of mandates should be reconsidered in light of the documented cases.
“In many cases, such mandates were harmful. It is difficult to read cases where kids aged 7 to 16 may be dead as a result of covid vaccines. Did COVID-19 vaccine programs kill more healthy kids than it saved? We do not have reliable data estimating the absolute benefit (absolute risk reduction) regarding severe disease and death in healthy children from vaccine receipt.”
President Donald Trump delivered a warning to Nicolás Maduro to leave Venezuela immediately in the hours before U.S. officials declared the country’s airspace closed, according to a report from the Miami Herald.
The newspaper reported that the message was conveyed in a phone call between Washington and Caracas and included an offer of evacuation for Maduro, his wife Cilia Flores, and their son.

The warning was reportedly delivered in a phone call with Caracas and offered… pic.twitter.com/tdC3GMvFQT
The offer was conditioned on Maduro agreeing to resign during the call.
U.S. officials told the outlet the discussion broke down shortly after it began.
A source said the disagreement centered on demands from Maduro.
According to the report, the first demand involved “global amnesty for any crimes he and his group had committed, and that was rejected.”
The source also told the newspaper that Maduro’s side asked to “retain control of the armed forces — similar to what happened in Nicaragua in ’91 with Violeta Chamorro. In return, they would allow free elections.”
The final sticking point involved timing, as the United States insisted on immediate resignation while Caracas refused.
President Trump is wise about Maduro’s tactics. Well done @realDonaldTrump.
Maduro is a liar terrorist and only when he feels his life is in real danger will he leave power.
Following the collapse of the conversation, Trump announced Saturday that Venezuelan airspace would be considered “closed in its entirety.”
To all Airlines, Pilots, Drug Dealers, and Human Traffickers, please consider THE AIRSPACE ABOVE AND SURROUNDING VENEZUELA TO BE CLOSED IN ITS ENTIRETY. Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP
The Herald reported that Venezuelan officials attempted to schedule another call with Washington but did not receive a response.

The developments have drawn attention from regional analysts, including former Venezuelan diplomat Vanessa Neumann.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, Neumann said the Maduro government may now face its most significant challenge so far.
“I think the operations will start imminently,” she said.
Neumann added that the airspace decision served as a signal.
“The clearing of the airspace is an indication and a very clear public warning that missiles might be coming to take out command and control infrastructure or retaliatory infrastructure,” she said.
Neumann said U.S. planning has identified potential targets in advance.
“The targets have been identified through covert operations over the last several years by people on the ground,” she said.
“So they’re well-mapped. This is a capture-or-kill scenario, but there’s a limit to how many people you can remove quickly.”
On Sunday, reporters traveling with the president aboard Air Force One asked whether the airspace announcement suggested that a strike on Venezuela was imminent.
Trump responded by saying not to “read anything into” the declaration.
Neumann said the Maduro government faces weaknesses within its own military.
“Maduro also doesn’t have that many options, and his military is very weak,” she said.
She added that going after individuals in the regime would require prioritization.
“You can’t go after 30 people simultaneously, who are spread all around, but certainly high on the list would be Maduro himself.”
Neumann said the country’s armed forces have deteriorated significantly.
“Their material is extremely old, decayed, and has not been serviced,” she said.
She noted that equipment from Russia and the United States remains in poor condition.
“They’ve got junk from the Russians. The stuff they originally had from the Americans is decades old and has not been serviced.”
Ahead of the airspace announcement, U.S. officials designated the cartel allegedly connected to elements of the Venezuelan government, the Cartel de los Soles, as a foreign terrorist organization.
Neumann said the group integrated narcotics operations into the country’s national oil company before sanctions took effect.
“This cartel turned Venezuela’s main oil company into a narcotics trafficking money laundering operation, using the company’s access to international finance, until it was sanctioned,” she said.
Neumann said the cartel used military aircraft to transport cocaine and retaliated against internal opposition.
“Jet pilots were making a lot of money off that, and they’ve tortured people. They target people, anybody who tell on them, they’re disappeared,” she said.
She added that the organization is now one of the primary narcotics suppliers to the United States and Europe.
In September, the European Parliament voted in favor of designating the cartel as a terrorist organization.
Neumann said the group has supported other entities abroad.
“The Cartel de Los Soles is also a key collaborator and financier of Hezbollah and some of the drug money has been used to fund terrorist attacks that have killed American citizens, even in the Middle East,” she said.
Neumann said the United States has expanded military and intelligence efforts targeting networks linked to Venezuela.
“The decision is President Trump’s because when he says, ‘Go’, we go. And nobody knows when he’ll say that,” she said.
Neumann added that assets have been positioned in the region.
“He has mobilized so many assets down there now. But what President Trump is doing now is long overdue.”
She cited geopolitical conditions affecting Maduro’s allies.
“Because even Maduro’s biggest backers, Russia and Iran, are both on the back foot, and China will not go that far in backing Maduro as it has bigger and broader interests throughout the region,” she said.
Neumann added that domestic conditions also pose risks for the regime. “Maduro is also weakened because his partners are weakened and have their own issues to deal with,” she said.
Neumann identified members of Maduro’s government who could be targeted.
Those individuals include Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, Diosdado Cabello, Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, and Alexander Granko Arteaga, who oversees the country’s counter-intelligence agency, the DGCIM.
Neumann said Granko’s role within the military structure has influenced the stability of the regime.
“One of the reasons Granko is an important figure is that he’s one of the reasons why they haven’t capitulated and why there has not been a military uprising,” she said.
She said Venezuelans exhausted peaceful options. “It’s because of the brutality of the counter-intelligence that they do to their own military, and hundreds of soldiers are tortured,” she said.
“That said, the Venezuelan people have made it clear that they wanted Maduro out and fought democratically but lost.”
“They voted in elections, protested peacefully, lobbied for sanctions, and lobbied for international support,” Neumann said.
The coastal city of Güiria, a longtime hub for smuggling and illicit maritime trade in northeastern Venezuela, is experiencing severe economic disruption and heightened government surveillance following U.S. military strikes on boats suspected of drug trafficking.
The city, home to roughly 40,000 residents, has relied for years on the movement of drugs, contraband, food, and consumer goods between Venezuela and nearby Caribbean nations.
Reuters reported Friday that the recent U.S. operations have stopped nearly all boat departures from the area, leaving local commerce at a standstill.
“There was only movement in stores recently because of government bonus payments; otherwise, there’s no money circulating,” one merchant told Reuters.
The resident added that all boat activity has halted.
“No boats of any kind are leaving … not migrants, not people buying goods there to sell here, and certainly not those taking Venezuelan products to sell there, which was another way to make money. Everything is practically dead.”
Families of several men from Güiria who were believed to have been killed during the U.S. strikes said they were visited shortly afterward by Venezuelan police and intelligence agents.
Venezuela’s socialist government is considered illegitimate by the United States and numerous other countries.
According to Reuters, the relatives requested anonymity out of concern for their safety and said authorities searched their homes and warned them not to discuss the deaths publicly.
They also said they have received no official notification and have not been able to recover bodies.
Security forces began expanding their presence in Güiria in mid-September.
Residents have reported frequent patrols by personnel from the Directorate General of Military Counterintelligence (DGCIM) and the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (SEBIN).
Reuters cited accounts of a former resident who said the DGCIM established a “command center” in a state-owned hotel in a resort area near the city, which has contributed to a decline in normal public activity.
“The people in town know there are individuals who are not part of the community, not from there. People walking around like civilians, but they belong to government intelligence,” the former resident said, according to Reuters.
“There’s so much secrecy – no one talks about it because they don’t know if someone is listening.”
The DGCIM remains under investigation by the International Criminal Court and has been sanctioned by the United States.
The agency has been accused of extrajudicial executions, torture, and other abuses. SEBIN has carried out surveillance against journalists, political opponents, and additional groups, according to Reuters.
Conditions in Güiria have continued to deteriorate as the United States increases its military presence around Venezuela.
Approximately 10% of U.S. naval assets are currently positioned in the region.
Since Sept. 2, U.S. forces have conducted 21 strikes on vessels believed to be involved in narcotrafficking, resulting in more than 80 deaths.
In mid-October, President Donald Trump authorized covert CIA operations in Venezuela.
In mid-November, the U.S. government designated the Venezuelan Cartel de los Soles as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, stating that Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro heads the cartel.
Trump said Thursday in remarks to service members that U.S. operations targeting alleged drug traffickers in Venezuela may expand beyond maritime activity to include land-based actions.
TRUMP
Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona said he is “not backing down” from his message telling U.S. service members to refuse what he called President Donald Trump’s “illegal orders,” even as he acknowledged during a television interview that he could not name any specific illegal order that the president has given.
Kelly, a retired Naval captain, addressed the issue during an appearance with host Jimmy Kimmel.
“You can’t keep track of this guy and what he says. I’ll tell you this though, I’m not backing down. We said something very simple. Members of the military need to follow the law. We wanted to say that we have their backs. His response, kill them,” Kelly told Kimmel.
Kelly appeared in a video alongside five other lawmakers promoting the message that service members should refuse orders they believe to be unlawful.
The video included statements from Sen. Elissa Slotkin of Michigan and Reps. Chris Deluzio of Pennsylvania, Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania, Maggie Goodlander of New Hampshire, and Jason Crow of Colorado.
We want to speak directly to members of the Military and the Intelligence Community.
The American people need you to stand up for our laws and our Constitution.
After the video began circulating on social media, the Trump administration and the Department of War said Kelly was under review for a possible court martial related to “serious allegations of misconduct.”
Kelly responded to that development during his interview with Kimmel.
“This is what he can do this week, go after me under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, which is a law in the military, which is kind of wild because we recited something in the Uniform Code of Military Justice, and he is going to prosecute me under the Uniform Code of Military Justice for reciting the Uniform Code of Military Justice. It is so ridiculous, it is like you can’t make this shit up,” Kelly said.
Kelly also claimed that actions taken by the administration were inconsistent with constitutional principles.
“What I am worried about is the reaction and what this transmits to the military and the public, which is basically, shut up and listen to that guy. That is not the way our system works. My oath and every member of the military took is loyalty to the Constitution, not to a person. He is trying to get some fear out there, and fear can be contagious, but what also can be contagious is courage and patriotism,” he said.
He further accused the president of undermining democratic norms.
“It is how democracy dies. It is right out of the playbook. The playbook of authoritarianism, that’s what they do. They try to suppress speech. Every one of us has First Amendment speech rights. I think the president is infringing on those, and he is sending a strong message, you don’t want to cross him and your loyalty should be to him. It should not. It always should be to the Constitution,” Kelly said.
In a separate appearance on Rachel Maddow’s program, Kelly stated that he could not identify any specific “illegal order” he believes the president has issued to the military.
Democrat Senator Mark Kelly accidentally admits on air to Rachel Maddow that there were no specific illegal orders from President Trump behind the viral video stunt warning the military to defy the White House.
An Oregon parent raised concerns this week after learning that his 11-year-old son was set to receive a state-issued survey that asked children about their sexual orientation, gender identity, and whether they identify as transgender.
The survey, created by the Oregon Health Authority, is part of the 2024 Student Health Survey and was intended for students in sixth, eighth, and eleventh grades.
Chuck Gonzales, whose son Maxwell attends Minter Bridge Elementary School in Hillsboro, spoke with Fox News Digital on Tuesday about how he discovered the survey.
“I was made aware of this survey somehow online,” Gonzales said. He added that he “might’ve got it through an email,” but after checking the Oregon Health Authority’s website, he downloaded the PDF and confirmed the content.
“It was a survey that is asking our children grades six, eighth, and eleventh grade issued by the Oregon Health Authority,” he said.
“And the survey, it asks a lot of really confusing things to sixth graders. And one of those is it discusses and asks about their gender and sexual identity. So when I heard about this, I went to the website, downloaded the PDF form, and sure enough, it was just right there.”
The survey included questions such as “What is your gender identity,” with listed options including “girl or woman, boy or man, demigirl/demiboy, nonbinary, genderfluid, genderqueer or questioning, and agender/no gender.”
It also asked students if they are transgender, with answer choices including “Yes,” “No,” “I am not sure,” “I don’t know what this question is asking,” and “I prefer not to answer.”
Another section asked students about their sexual orientation, telling them they could select more than one answer.
Options included “straight, lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, asexual or aromantic, queer, questioning,” as well as “Something else fits better, Please tell us more,” “I am not sure of my sexual orientation,” “I don’t know what this question is asking,” and “I prefer not to answer.”
Gonzales said the content of the survey was not known to many families.
“When I had heard of this survey, none of the parents that I had spoken with or comments online had heard anything about it,” he said.
He added that when he posted the link to the survey, parents reached out privately asking for the link so they could opt their children out.
Gonzales said he believes the survey interferes with parental authority.
“They have no right to step on the values that we have as Christians,” he said.
“They certainly have no right to step into whatever kind of sexual values that a child doesn’t even have. They’re projecting their own ideologies on our children. So I mean, yes, it’s infuriating as a Christian and as a Catholic, but just simply as a parent and standing up for what is good based on what is clearly evil in this case.”
He encouraged parents to be involved at the local level.
“Parents, don’t be afraid to go to your city council meetings, to go to your school district meetings, but also don’t blow your gasket,” he said.
“The way that we are going to win is for us to stay in control of our own thoughts, our own words, and our own emotions.”
Gonzales posted a video to Facebook showing his son reading parts of the survey.
He wrote, “Parents, wake up! The state of Oregon is shoving invasive surveys at our 11-year-old sixth graders – yes, our KIDS – asking they spill about their ‘sexual orientation.’”
He added, “What in God’s name is happening. I’m a dad who prays day and night over my kids’ souls. I teach them right from wrong, but now, bureaucrats in Salem think they get a say? Without one word to me?”
His post continued, “It’s wrong. It’s a violation. And as a Catholic conservative, I’m done playing nice. Our children aren’t lab rats for some progressive experiment. They’re gifts from God, entrusted to us – not the state. This erodes everything: our rights, our faith, their innocence. Fellow parents, rise up! Call your reps. Flood the schools. Sign petitions. Protect the little ones – because if we don’t, who will?”
In a statement provided to Fox News Digital, Beth Graser, communications officer for the Hillsboro School District, said parents were notified ahead of time.
“Every parent/guardian received advance information about this survey in two ways: through our ParentSquare communication system and via hard copy that was sent home with students. The school received a signed opt-out form for this student and they did not participate in the survey.”
Peter Skandalakis, the director of the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia, announced Wednesday that the election-related case brought against President Donald Trump and multiple co-defendants in Fulton County has been dropped.
Skandalakis assumed responsibility for the matter after Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was disqualified from overseeing it.
He said the decision was made “to serve the interests of justice and promote judicial finality.”
MAJOR BREAKING: Prosecutors have officially DROPPED the 2020 “election interference” case against President Trump in Georgia
The case had been overshadowed for months by disclosures involving an improper romantic relationship between Willis and Nathan Wade, a top prosecutor she had appointed to the investigation.
President Trump referenced the revelations in a post on Truth Social, writing, “LAW and JUSTICE have prevailed in the Great State of Georgia, as the corrupt Fani Willis Witch Hunt against me, and other Great American Patriots, has been DISMISSED in its entirety. This Illegal, Unconstitutional, and unAmerican Hoax was perpetrated against our Nation by Fani and her Low I.Q. Lover, Nathan Wade, at the direction of Crooked Joe Biden and his ‘Handlers.’”
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee formally ordered the case “dismissed in its entirety” for Trump and all co-defendants.
The case had stemmed from allegations related to the aftermath of the 2020 election.
Skandalakis said pursuing the matter further would not benefit the state’s residents.
“In my professional judgment, the citizens of Georgia are not served by pursuing this case in full for another five to ten years,” he said.
President Trump responded to the announcement by accusing the former Biden-Harris administration of involvement in the prosecution.
“The Deranged Democrats did all they could to viciously attack me, my supporters, and our MAGA Movement, for telling the TRUTH — THE 2020 ELECTION WAS RIGGED AND STOLEN,” he wrote. “And they committed Crime after Crime as they weaponized our Law Enforcement and Justice System against HONEST AND LOVING Americans but, we have fought back and won both in the Courts and Politically with our Historic, Country saving, Landslide Victory of November 5, 2024.”
Steve Sadow, Trump’s lead attorney, said the prosecutor’s decision confirmed the defense’s longstanding position.
“This case should never have been brought,” Sadow said.
“A fair and impartial prosecutor has put an end to this lawfare.”
In his post, President Trump said, “The few remaining Democrat Witch Hunts will soon meet the same embarrassing end. We are going to keep winning.”
Skandalakis added that the matter would be “best pursued at the federal level,” indicating that any further action would not come from state prosecutors.
