Conservative activist Robby Starbuck released a lengthy video this week criticizing Cracker Barrel after the company unveiled a new logo design. In a 15-minute breakdown posted to his followers, Starbuck argued that the restaurant chain’s shift represents a departure from “old American nostalgia” to what he described as “cold, dead, lifeless and modern.”

Starbuck’s video examined both the company’s logo change and its broader corporate direction.

He claimed that Cracker Barrel, traditionally associated with Americana, has embraced what he called “wokeness” through its recent business and cultural decisions.

According to Starbuck, the company is now “infested with left-wing activists who are more interested in safe spaces, pronouns, and virtue signaling than they are in their customers.”

Starbuck highlighted Cracker Barrel’s previous support for LGBTQ+ organizations and events, including Nashville Pride, River City Pride, and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC).

He pointed to the company’s rainbow-colored rocking chairs — a signature item tied to the chain’s porch-lined restaurants nationwide — and noted that one was even placed inside its Tennessee corporate headquarters.

“The fact that it’s located there is important to this story because what’s happened here is a microcosm of the parasitic operating procedure of left-wing activists,” Starbuck said in the video.

“They don’t just wanna force their soulless, godless, hedonistic vision of the future onto blue hellscapes that their party controls. No, it’s much more important to them that they shove it down into your towns, into your kids’ schools, and into your way of life. So, sticking a pro-trans rocking chair into their headquarters in a predominantly conservative town is exactly the type of thing they revel in doing.”

Starbuck also pointed to the company’s participation in the Out and Equal Workplace Summit, where it created rainbow rocking chairs to represent the LGBTQ+ flag.

Out and Equal later recognized Cracker Barrel with an award for having 2018’s top LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group.

The chain also took part in the HRC Corporate Equality Index, which rates companies on policies and benefits for LGBTQ+ employees.

In response to the renewed attention, Cracker Barrel told Fox News Digital on Friday that it “has not participated in the Human Rights Campaign Index or had any affiliation with HRC in several years.”

In his video, Starbuck singled out two company employees.

He showed a LinkedIn screenshot of Steve Smotherman, who worked as head of management training and development at Cracker Barrel for 15 years before joining Out and Equal.

Smotherman currently serves on HRC’s Business Advisory Council. Starbuck labeled him “the archetype activist employee that fueled the rise of DEI in corporate America.”

He also criticized Rachel CampBell, a Cracker Barrel manager of training and development, for celebrating the rainbow rocking chairs online.

“And it’s important to note all of this because these types of employees play a critical role in turning companies away from the values of their customers and moving the companies toward wokeness,” Starbuck said.

Starbuck additionally mentioned Gilbert Dávila, a member of Cracker Barrel’s board since 2020.

Dávila has held executive roles at Disney, Coca-Cola, and Procter & Gamble, and is co-CEO of DMI Consulting, a firm that promotes “cultural relevance and creativity.”

Starbuck argued that Dávila and similar executives drive the “woke advertising push” seen across major corporations.

Starbuck stressed that the controversy extends beyond branding.

“It’s very, very important to understand that the Cracker Barrel story is not about a logo. It’s not at all about a logo, it is about a country, it is our heritage, and it is a culture. It’s about a power structure built to tell us that we are somehow backwards, embarrassing or bigoted,” he said.

He concluded by urging conservatives and Christians to withhold their business.

“A conservative can’t give their money to Cracker Barrel. A Christian cannot give their money to Cracker Barrel, and so we won’t,” Starbuck said.

According to Starbuck, the company now faces a choice between continuing its current course and losing customers or reverting to its 1977 logo to maintain its traditional base.

A North Carolina woman vacationing in Venice took matters into her own hands last week when she tracked down a suspected teenage pickpocket and restrained her by the ponytail until police arrived, as reported by The New York Post.

The tourist, traveling with her husband, reported that her purse was stolen on a narrow bridge after being surrounded by several young girls. The stolen bag contained her passport, credit cards, cash, a metal water bottle, and a set of AirPods.

Using the “Find My Friends” feature linked to the AirPods, she was able to track the location of her belongings.

Her daughter, Karis McElroy, posted video of the incident on TikTok, showing her mother gripping a 14-year-old girl by the hair as crowds gathered around in the Italian city.

“Her and my stepdad immediately started tracking her purse through her AirPods on Find My Friends, and they were able to track it down back to those three girls,” Karis said in a follow-up video.

According to McElroy, her mother confronted the suspects and grabbed one of them by the ponytail. Two of the girls stayed while one fled with the purse.

“She said she didn’t care about any of the other stuff in the bag, but she just at least wanted her passport so she could get home,” Karis explained.

The Airbnb host where the couple was staying told the tourist that the trio of girls were known pickpockets in Venice. The host stood by while the woman waited for police.

In the video, the teen being held can be heard screaming as the tourist responded, “I have eight kids, you’re not getting to me.”

When officers arrived, one of the suspects allegedly swung the stolen purse and struck the tourist in the head.

“And in the bag was that metal water bottle that they took from my mom. So my mom had a massive gash on her head, and it was bleeding everywhere. She got a black eye from it, and the girls were arrested. And then my mom had to go to the hospital and get some stitches,” Karis said.

Authorities later intercepted the third girl, who had boarded a train to the airport. The woman’s passport and credit cards were recovered, but her cash and AirPods were not returned.

Despite the incident, McElroy said her mother noted the kindness of local residents. A jewelry store owner near the family’s Airbnb gave her a necklace following the ordeal.

Italian outlet Il Messaggero reported that the 14-year-old girl arrested during the confrontation was released on bail two days later.

The family, from North Carolina, is currently on a Mediterranean cruise after boarding in Venice, according to McElroy.

Rodriguez Singh had been wanted on a Texas state warrant for capital murder of a person under 10 years of age, and a federal warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

Her son, Noel Rodriguez Alvarez, had numerous health and developmental complications, including chronic lung disease, pulmonary edema, a severe developmental disorder, bone density problems, social disorder, and estropia, according to officials.

Timeline of the Case

On March 20, 2023, the Everman, Texas, Police Department was asked by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to conduct a welfare check on the boy, who had not been seen since October 2022.

Investigators said Rodriguez Singh misled authorities during the check, claiming Noel was living in Mexico with his biological father since November 2022.

Two days later, on March 22, 2023, Rodriguez Singh, her husband, and six other children boarded a flight to India. Authorities confirmed Noel was not present and did not travel with them.

On October 31, 2023, Rodriguez Singh was charged with capital murder in Tarrant County District Court in Fort Worth, Texas.

A federal warrant followed on November 2, 2023, after she was indicted on unlawful flight charges. In July 2024, she was officially placed on the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” list.

International Pursuit

INTERPOL issued a Red Notice for Rodriguez Singh on October 3, 2024. Indian officials cooperated with U.S. authorities after receiving an extradition packet. The FBI confirmed she was apprehended and transported back to the U.S., where she will be turned over to Texas officials.

“The FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list exists for cases just like this — where a dangerous fugitive thought she could run, hide overseas, and escape justice,” FBI Director Kash Patel said in a statement.

“Thanks to relentless FBI work and our international partnerships, Cindy Rodriguez-Singh is back on American soil to face accountability for the horrific murder of her own child.”

Patel added: “Justice has no borders, and today the American people can see that we will never stop pursuing those who prey on the most innocent among us.”

Rodriguez Singh is the fourth fugitive captured under Patel’s tenure as FBI director.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has canceled more than $29 billion in federal grants, Administrator Lee Zeldin confirmed during an interview on Fox News Tuesday evening.

Appearing on Special Report with Bret Baier, Zeldin said the cancellations targeted green energy projects funded through Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act.

He noted the total amount scrapped is nearly three times the EPA’s annual operating budget of about $10 billion.

“Over $29 billion of grants have canceled. Our operating budget annually is about $10 billion,” Zeldin told Baier.

“$27 billion of it was the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, part of the Inflation Reduction Act, when President Biden had one party control of Congress.”

Zeldin said the grants were distributed through a system he described as a “complex web of intermediaries,” raising questions about oversight and accountability.

“It was filled with self-dealing and conflicts of interest, unqualified recipients, reduced agency oversight, money going through pastors, through pastors, through pastors. The dollar getting diluted,” Zeldin said.

“And if the argument is going to be made that a dollar should get spent to remediate [an] environmental issue, then spend it on remediating an environmental issue. Instead, they’re giving it to their friends, former Biden and Obama officials and Democratic donors.”

Zeldin pointed to one non-governmental organization tied to former Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams as an example of what he described as questionable distribution of taxpayer funds.

“President Trump talks about Stacey Abrams, this one linked NGO to her that received $2 billion,” Zeldin said.

According to Zeldin, the group received just $100 in 2023 before being awarded a $2 billion grant by the Biden EPA in 2024.

“In 2023, that NGO received $100. In 2024, they got $2 billion from the Biden EPA. They had to complete training in their grant agreement, page seven, that says they have 90 days to complete training called ‘How to Develop a Budget,’” Zeldin told Baier.

“Yet, in the first 21 days, they can start spending the money, billions of dollars.”

Tax records show Abrams’ group Fair Fight Action funneled about $20.2 million to the law firm Lawrence & Bundy, run by a close associate, between 2019 and 2023.

The Biden EPA later awarded $2 billion to Power Forward Communities, a nonprofit tied to Abrams, as part of the $27 billion Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund authorized under the Inflation Reduction Act.

The cancellations mark a major rollback of grants tied to Biden-era climate initiatives, particularly the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, which had been one of the largest single funding pools under the Inflation Reduction Act.

Zeldin emphasized that the move was aimed at restoring oversight and ensuring federal dollars are directed toward legitimate environmental remediation efforts rather than what he characterized as politically connected organizations.

The EPA has not yet released a full breakdown of the canceled grants or the organizations that were set to receive them.

However, Zeldin’s remarks suggest that political ties and financial management issues played a key role in determining which grants were rescinded.

Leavitt’s remarks mirror those made by Vice President JD Vance earlier this month during meetings in the United Kingdom with European officials.

On August 10, Vance told Fox News that the administration had delivered a clear message: U.S. funding of the war is ending and European nations must carry a larger share.

Authorities said he was caught attempting to solicit sex electronically from a minor.

He was booked into the Henderson Detention Center and released on $10,000 bail. State court records show the judge did not require Alexandrovich to turn over his passport, allowing him to board a flight and return to Israel two days later.

The Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force confirmed the operation involved LVMPD, the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations, Henderson Police, North Las Vegas Police, and the Nevada Attorney General’s Office.

In total, eight individuals were arrested and charged with felony counts of luring a child with a computer for sexual acts. The suspects included:

Ynet News reported that Alexandrovich returned to his hotel after questioning and then flew back to Israel. Israeli officials downplayed the incident, claiming it had “no political implications.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office released a statement denying Alexandrovich had been arrested, saying he was only “questioned by American authorities” and returned to Israel as scheduled.

The U.S. State Department disputed suggestions that the federal government intervened.

“The Department of State is aware that Tom Artiom Alexandrovich, an Israeli citizen, was arrested in Las Vegas and given a court date for charges related to soliciting sex electronically from a minor. He did not claim diplomatic immunity and was released by a state judge pending a court date. Any claims that the U.S. government intervened are false,” the department said.

Nevada Attorney General Sigal Chattah said U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi was furious over the case, blaming state authorities for mishandling Alexandrovich’s release.

“A liberal district attorney and state court judge in Nevada FAILED TO REQUIRE AN ALLEGED CHILD MOLESTER TO SURRENDER HIS PASSPORT, which allowed him to flee our country,” Chattah said.

Multiple people were shot inside a Brooklyn restaurant early Sunday morning, and police say the suspect remains at large.

According to the New York Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting inside Taste of the City Lounge, located at 903 Franklin Avenue, just before 3:30 a.m.

Officials told The New York Post that several individuals were transported to local hospitals following the incident, though their conditions have not yet been disclosed.

Police confirmed that no arrests have been made.

The suspect has not been identified, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The NYPD has confirmed there were three fatalities, and eight others people wounded in the shooting.

Video footage posted on X showed officers standing inside the establishment near what appeared to be a pool of blood and broken glass.

Taste of the City Lounge describes itself as a restaurant and nightlife venue serving American and Caribbean dishes, with a full bar, hookah, and DJs.

The business opened in 2022 and is located less than half a mile from the Brooklyn Museum.

The restaurant had closed at 3 a.m. Sunday, just minutes before the shooting occurred.

The NYPD has maintained a presence in the area as the investigation continues.

Detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are seeking information that may help identify the individual responsible.
