The senator said he did not know when leadership planned to hold a vote, but insisted that the matter could not be delayed forever.
If Kennedy were running the show, he said, the legislation would have already received a reconciliation vote.
Washington politicians have perfected the art of replacing action with meetings, memos, and endless discussion.

“I am prepared to stay here as long as it takes. I’ve been to a squillion meetings to talk about this stuff that could’ve been an email!”

Americans can recognize a radical program even when Democrats package it as compassion and cover it with promises about fairness.
