We’re over the honeymoon period after the presidential election of 2024. Donald Trump has been in office five months, and the fight to get woke out of our society is just in the opening stages. He blazed through his first 100 days signing executive orders (up to 152 as of this writing) on everything from tariffs to transgenderism.
It’s that latter topic that looks likely to be the hardest problem to solve. Some conservatives are complaining about how Congress hasn’t managed to codify any of Trump’s EOs into law yet. Republicans have a long track record of getting into power and then refusing to use any of it, so this is no surprise. But if lawmakers won’t take serious statutory action to stop men and boys from dominating girls’ sports, it’s hard to see how the unfair practice will stop.
It’s baffling. Of all the policy positions of the left, the idea that there are “transgender” people who “change sex” and that children can and should do it as well is so far outside of sanity one would expect that almost no one would support it. But behold the left–they’re fighting tooth and nail to make sure the lunacy never ends, and they’re doing it at the expense of America’s children. Polls show that not even Democrat voters favor allowing so called “trans girls” (i.e., boys) to compete against actual schoolgirls, yet Democrat lawmakers snarl and shriek about “protecting transgender rights.”

Trump is about to call California’s bluff over a young man who calls himself “AB Hernandez.” The high school junior wears his hair long, dresses in women’s clothes, and tells other people that he’s female. This entitles him, he and his parents must believe, to enter and take over any female sports team he likes. He’s been sweeping the girls’ leaderboards, and Trump has had enough. The president has threatened to shut off California’s federal money if they allow this to continue in defiance of his executive order instructing schools to keep boys out of girls’ sports or lose their federal grants.
Let’s take the public’s temperature by looking at the comment responses.
This is a good question.
