Unwatchable ABC daytime talk show “The View” invited New York Mayor Eric Adams on for its Friday, Nov. 15 edition in the wake of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s appointment as Secretary for Health and Human Services.
The program typically only invites Democrats (or Republicans who might as well be Democrats) to discuss current affairs, and Mayor Adams is no exception. However, The View got more than it bargained for when Adams unexpectedly began to defend RFK Jr. and President-elect Donald Trump.
The talk show hosts were skeptical of Kennedy’s appointment, but Adams acknowledged ongoing health issues with hormones in food and fluoride in water. They then began to question whether HHS officials would leave en masse once RFK Jr. assumed the role (which would actually just help drain the swamp).
“If we love our country, then no one individual should take us away from our mission,” Adams said. “If you’ve dedicated your life to a particular place… I dedicated my life to law enforcement; if a new commissioner came in that I disagreed with, I [wouldn’t] say I was going to resign.”
Calling on Americans to love the country, Adams continued, “Those are experts in this; they’re going to look at his proposals, do a real analysis, and make these decisions. It happens every day.”
The hosts then tried to shift the conversation to Adams’ reluctance to join his party colleagues in describing Trump as a fascist.
“We’ve reached a point in this country where we no longer want to engage in conversation,” Adams said. “They were even calling him Hitler; that was an insult to the millions of Jews and others who died.”
Adams’ remarks left some commentors on social media to ponder whether his views align more closely with the GOP.
Others were simply stunned by The View’s continual promotion of the left-wing agenda, particularly given Adams’ remarks.
