Imagine two parties:
1. A father whose son was stabbed in the heart and killed by another teen
2. The mother of the teen who killed the father’s son
Which one is the victim? Think that sounds easy? Not in 2025. If you’re the mother of confessed knife-killer Karmelo Anthony, you believe that you and your family are the real victims. Karla Hayes, mother of Karmelo Anthony, called a press conference and berated the public for “discriminating” against her family and for being angry that her son killed another boy.
Only blacks in America would have the nerve. Oh yes, race is very much at issue. Karmelo Anthony is black, and Austin Metcalf, the teen he killed, was white. In this insane racial hothouse called America 2025, public sympathy is on the side of the confessed killer’s family. The Anthonys have already taken in a half-million dollars in online donations, and the media reports that they’ve begun spending it on a Cadillac Escalade and a new McMansion to live in.
The family press conference started off with an even more astonishing display of chutzpah, with a man named Dominique Alexander speaking for Karmelo Anthony’s family. It turns out that Jeff Metcalf, father of the boy slain by Karmelo Anthony, showed up at the Anthony family press conference. Dominiqe Alexander, a self-described clergyman, chastised Jeff Metcalf for showing up, saying Metcalf was “disrespectful” to Metcalf’s dead son.
During her tirade, Karla Hayes, mother of the accused Karmelo Anthony, shouted that she had raised her son correctly in a two-parent family “with structure.” It is not clear, then, why she has a different surname than her knife-wielding son, or just what kind of “structure” she was referring to.
The family’s been having a red letter week, as their very good boy, who didn’t do nothin’ wrong and acted in self-defense, they say, got his bail reduced to a nice affordable $250,000. Karmelo Anthony is resting comfortably under home arrest until his trial.
You can watch Karla Hayes put on crocodile tears and yell at the world in this video from Collin Rugg’s X account:
