A clip from a recent Glenn Beck interview with President Donald Trump went viral in late April for revealing the fascinating connection between the president, his uncle, Elon Musk, and famously tragic engineer Nikola Tesla.

“How crazy is it, that you are working with Elon Musk, today’s Tesla, and when Tesla died, it was your genius uncle that was sent to try and figure out what papers should be kept,” Beck said in what appeared to be almost an off-hand comment to Trump at the end of the interview — which was focused on Trump’s first 100 days in office.

Some of you may know this story, but we thought we’d share it with you again as we found it so fascinating ourselves. It starts with Nikola Tesla, one of the most famous yet tragic minds of the modern era. Put succinctly (and in very much colloquial terms), Tesla invented free wireless energy. The whole world could have been revolutionized, our futures sealed in prosperity thanks to his invention, but his funding was cut by the folks creating the power grid. After he died, his works were quietly shuffled away for the most part, but the useful stuff was reviewed by Trump’s uncle, John G. Trump, an electrical engineer and physicist at MIT.

Connection To The Future …

Some hundred years or so later, Trump is working alongside “today’s Tesla,” Musk, who named one of his most famous companies “Tesla.”

To say that history repeats itself is not fair in this circumstance, as John G. Trump only reviewed Tesla’s work after the investor’s passing. Today’s Trump and Musk are working fairly closely together, but both Trump’s do share one commonality: how nice they are about the respective genius in their lives. According to Trump, his uncle wrote many glowing things about Tesla, despite him being something of a persona non grata at the time.

We all know how Trump feels about Musk and his work at the Department of Government Efficiency. At the time of writing, DOGE has saved an estimated $160,000,000 for the U.S. tax payer, which breaks down to roughly $993.79 per tax-paying individual.
