Drag Queen Teacher Forced To Resign After “Queer Podcast” Goes Public

A middle school teacher and drag queen who used a podcast to discuss children’s sexuality has been forced to resign after online pressure.

Seth McCollough, a teacher in Auburn City, AL, was exposed on the @libsoftiktok X account on Wednesday, July 10, when his podcast was shared online.

In a three-minute clip from his podcast “Blue Dreams”, McCollough said he provided “queer advice and answers to the questions you can’t ask your parents” to children, adding that he would likely be terminated should the “wrong parent” find out about his approach. He also encouraged students to “f*** your mother’s feelings and be you and to cut the toxic people out” of their lives.

McCollough’s page on the Drake Middle School website was hastily removed by the expose which coincided with complaints from three parents at the school in Alabama. According to local media, one parent discovered McCollough’s “queer podcast” after an assignment which required young boys to “choreograph and perform a dance to the song ‘Single Ladies’ while being filmed and graded.”

Later on Wednesday, McCollough resigned from his role, claiming he had taken the “tough decision to move forward with a new opportunity.”

Some on social media noted how conservative campaigners can bring about action when the community rallies together, with many praises for the Libs of TikTok account for highlighting the issue.

Others mentioned how children had been impacted by the saga, noting that the profound effects on them in their adolescent years may have been a lot worse.
