Confirmed: Oprah Winfrey’s Production Company Caught Lying About $1M Payment from Harris Campaign

Oprah Winfrey‘s production banner, Harpo Productions, has publicly denied that the Kamala Harris campaign paid the billionaire TV host a $1 Million fee despite records from Federal Election Commission filings showing otherwise.

A Harpo spokesperson told Variety, “The campaign paid for the production costs of ‘Unite for America,’ a live-streaming event that took place September 19 outside Detroit, Michigan.”

“Oprah Winfrey was at no point during the campaign paid a personal fee, nor did she receive a fee from Harpo,” the spokesperson added.

Oprah was also confronted by a reporter about the payments.

“Not true,” Oprah quipped when confronted by the reporter. “I was paid nothing, ever.”

A recent Washington Examiner article, titled “How Kamala Harris plowed through $1 billion,” cited federal findings showing that Harris’s campaign “paid more than $15 million” to companies for expenses related to “event production.”

$1 million from those expenses went to Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions, the outlet reported.

Harpo Productions failed to disclose how much the Harris campaign paid for the production costs related to the a virtual town dubbed “Unite for America” which featured Meryl Streep, Chris Rock, Ben Stiller, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Julia Roberts.

Other celebrity endorsements include:

  • Megan Thee Stallion: Paid $5 Million
  • Beyoncé: Paid $10 million
  • Lizzo: Paid $1 Million

After plowing millions into celebrity endorsements, the Harris campaign was left in $20 million in debt.
