“The View” Hosts Meltdown Over Trump’s Youngest Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt made her first appearance in the briefing room on Tuesday, marking a historic moment as the youngest person to ever hold the position at just 27 years old.

Leavitt, who has promised a fresh approach emphasizing transparency and engagement with non-traditional media, addressed reporters for the first time in her new role.

However, instead of discussing her qualifications or policy approach, the hosts of The View sparked controversy by making comments about Leavitt’s appearance, drawing criticism from viewers and commentators who called their remarks sexist and dismissive.

During a segment discussing Leavitt’s appointment, The View co-host Joy Behar made a remark implying that Leavitt was selected for her looks rather than her experience. “I think she’s probably been put in there because, according to Donald Trump, she’s a ‘10,’” Behar said. “You know that’s what it is!”

Even as another panelist mentioned Leavitt’s government background, the conversation continued in a dismissive tone, suggesting she would not have earned the position under a different administration.

Whoopi Goldberg also took issue with Leavitt’s remarks in her first briefing. “I would like her to do homework. She said something yesterday that pissed me off, that was, ‘there will be no wokeness here.’ Let me explain, without that wokeness, you might not have that job,” Goldberg said.

The comments quickly ignited backlash, with many criticizing the hosts for undermining Leavitt’s qualifications and reducing her appointment to her physical appearance. Social media users pointed out the double standard, arguing that if a conservative commentator had made similar remarks about a liberal woman in office, there would have been widespread outrage.

“Well, to be fair, there’s not a chance in hell she got her job on The View because of her looks,” one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“If jobs are based on looks, how did these hosts get on air?” another user remarked.

Despite the dismissive tone of the discussion on The View, Leavitt’s resume demonstrates extensive experience in political communications.

Before being named White House press secretary, she served as the national press secretary for the Trump 2024 campaign. She also worked as the communications director for Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and previously served as an assistant press secretary in the Trump White House. Additionally, Leavitt has held roles in the White House Office of Presidential Correspondence and was a spokesperson for a pro-Trump super PAC.

Leavitt holds degrees in communications and political science and has developed a reputation as a skilled and articulate conservative voice.

The incident is the latest in a history of The View targeting conservative women with personal attacks.

The talk show has previously drawn criticism for its treatment of figures such as Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Kayleigh McEnany, and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, often dismissing their accomplishments while championing liberal women in similar positions.

Despite the controversy, Leavitt remains focused on her role, stating during her first briefing that she intends to expand media access and include outlets that have been overlooked by previous administrations.

If her first appearance is any indication, Leavitt appears prepared to handle both the responsibilities of her position and the scrutiny that comes with it.

Democratic Lawmaker Flips Out on Cop during Traffic Stop: “I’m Literally Your Boss!”

A Democratic elected official in New Jersey who was stopped by a police officer during a traffic stop suffered a total meltdown after being pulled over.

Paulsboro Councilman Theodore D. Holloway II reportedly ran a stop sign in Philadelphia earlier this month, according to a public records request from NJ.com.

In the footage, Holloway is seen cursing at the officer from the driver’s seat of his van and repeatedly referencing his political office. “You can’t be serious. I want to know what exactly are you getting behind me for?” Holloway inquired, whilst denying that he had run a stop sign.

Holloway then threatened to call the cop’s boss. “Don’t think I ain’t going to talk to Gary about this,” he said, referring to the chief. The officer shrugged off the threat; Holloway shouted, “I’m the one that hired you!”

When the policeman shrugged off the threat, Holloway shouted, “I’m the one that hired you!”

“You actually pulled over an elected official,” Holloway continued, attempting to call the police chief from his cell phone.

“You’re not pulling over a random. You’re pulling over your boss. I am literally your boss.”

Holloway referred to his elected office when the police officer’s supervisor arrived at the scene.

“You know who I am, right?” Holloway asked.

Paulsboro Mayor John Giovannitti confirmed that government officials for the community had been briefed on the matter, adding that Holloway was spoken to following the incident.

“We’ve spoken to him with our legal team and went over the issues that we had, and I just think it was an unfortunate incident that shouldn’t have happened,” Giovannitti said. “It’s never happened in the past and can’t happen again.”

The official acknowledged that “it’s not the response that an elected official should share with our police,” characterizing Holloway as a dedicated member of the borough council.

Holloway was issued a citation for “driving or parking [an] unregistered motor vehicle.”

Trump Launches Task Force 250 to Plan an “Extraordinary Celebration” of America

President Donald Trump will sign an executive order on Wednesday to establish Task Force 250, a White House-led initiative coordinating the national celebration of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026, Fox News Digital has learned.

The executive order outlines plans for a “grand celebration of the semiquincentennial of the ratification of the Declaration of Independence.” The milestone will mark 250 years since the nation’s founding on July 4, 1776.

The newly formed Task Force 250 will be responsible for organizing and overseeing federal agency efforts related to the anniversary celebrations.

The White House stated that the initiative draws inspiration from the U.S. Bicentennial Celebration of 1976, which emphasized national renewal and unity following a period of division.

“The 250th anniversary will afford an opportunity to unite the American people around their shared history and common future as a nation,” a White House official said.

In addition to establishing Task Force 250, the executive order will reinstate Trump-era initiatives originally signed in 2020 and 2021.

Among them is the creation of the National Garden of American Heroes, a statuary park dedicated to honoring 250 historically significant Americans.

The National Garden of American Heroes was first proposed during Trump’s first term in response to monuments and statues being vandalized or destroyed during nationwide protests.

The garden is expected to feature statues of influential figures, with the first 100 statues commissioned under the new order.

Additionally, Trump’s order will reinstate protections for American monuments, memorials, and statues to prevent their destruction or vandalism.

The White House emphasized that the new executive order is part of Trump’s longstanding commitment to celebrating America’s 250th anniversary and preserving the nation’s history.

Trump previously referenced the upcoming semiquincentennial during his first address to a joint session of Congress in February 2017, stating:

“In nine years, the United States will celebrate the 250th anniversary of our founding, 250 years since the day we declared our Independence.”

The executive orders being reinstated were originally signed during Trump’s first term in response to unrest and violence in cities, where monuments of American presidents and Founding Fathers were targeted and, in some cases, never restored.

As the country approaches July 4, 2026, Task Force 250 will work to ensure that the nation’s semiquincentennial is recognized with a historic and patriotic celebration.

Business Leaders More Hopeful About U.S. Economy Thanks To Trump

A survey published in mid-January revealed that business leaders are hopeful that the U.S. will avoid a major recession now that President Trump has returned to the White House.

“The January 2025 NABE Business Conditions Survey results reveal that business conditions remained relatively unchanged through the end of 2024, although a larger share of respondents than in the previous survey foresees higher prices going forward,” said National Association of Business Economics President Emily Kolinski Morris in the study published by the organization. “At the same time, the odds of a recession continue to diminish according to panelists, with the downside risks largely tied to uncertainty over the implementation and timing of policy proposals from the new administration.”

Experts Speak Out

A majority (82%) of NABE members said the probability of the U.S. entering a recession is roughly 25% or even lower over the coming year. Some 62% reported no change in recent prices while 30% reported higher prices, the smallest share since Jan 2021, according to analysis by the Daily Caller.

“The survey results suggest a steady-state economy,” NABE Business Conditions Survey Chair Selma Hepp, chief economist and senior vice president at CoreLogic, wrote in the press release. “However, concerns remain regarding shortages of skilled labor and a potential for more price pressures ahead. In addition, the outcome of the recent U.S. elections did not change hiring or investment plans for 70% of respondents.”

John Bolton Fears Retribution from Kash Patel: “He’ll Do Whatever the President Wants”

Former White House National Security Adviser John Bolton worries that Kash Patel, President Trump’s nominee to lead the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), will seek retribution once he is sworn in.

Trump stripped Bolton of his security clearance on the grounds he profited from the disclosure of sensitive information published in a book he authored.

The President also rescinded Bolton’s taxpayer-funded security detail, which he enjoyed under Joe Biden.

During a recent interview, Bolton said: “Loyalty is a virtue, it’s a good thing. That’s not what Trump wants.”

“He wants fealty to him. He wants submissiveness. He wants yes-men and yes-women,” he added.

“Kash Patel has demonstrated, in his service in Trump’s first term, that he’ll simply do whatever Trump wants.”

“I don’t think he’s qualified. And if there is a retribution campaign, and there certainly seems to be, he would be a central element of it.”

“I think that’s dangerous,” the former White House National Security Advisor added.

In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Bolton even compared Patel to Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin’s chief of the secret police, Lavrentiy Beria. “Trump has nominated Kash Patel to be his Lavrenty [sic] Beria,” he wrote. “Fortunately, the FBI is not the NKVD [People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs].”

Bolton also claimed that removing his protective details is part of a larger effort to target Trump’s critics.

“There’s only one interpretation that makes any sense. It was political. And this is part of an effort at retribution,” the staunch neoconservative argues.

Last year, Patel said he would “shut down the FBI Hoover Building on day one and reopen the next day as a museum of the deep state.”

Longtime CNN Reporter Admits He “Screwed Up” by Trusting Fauci

Former CNN editor-at-large, Chris Cillizza, admitted he made significant mistakes in assessing Anthony Fauci’s credibility during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cillizza acknowledged he was wrong, dismissing President Donald Trump and others who questioned Fauci’s narrative.

The reporter even confessed that his trust in Fauci’s and Trump’s bias led him to overlook alternative perspectives.

“If this was a debate between Donald Trump and Anthony Fauci on the origins of a pandemic-level virus, I was going to go with the guy who spent his entire career studying this stuff, not the reality TV-star-turned-president,” Cillizza wrote.

As evidence supports the lab-leak theory, something which Trump and many conservatives said from the beginning, Cillizza admitted he was wrong.

“The lesson: Be skeptical — of experts or anyone else — when dealing with a rapidly developing and changing situation where no one has the ability to see a 360-degree view,” he added.

Fauci is quickly becoming less credible in the mainstream due to his shifting guidance, missteps, and inconsistencies in his messaging.

President Trump revoked Fauci’s federal security detail last week, justifying the s decision by saying that former officials should not rely indefinitely on government-funded security

This came days after Joe Biden issued preemptive pardons to Fauci and others.

Cillizza then went on to criticize himself for clouding his judgment.

“My belief at the time was that Trump was just making it up. Like, he wanted to blame China for the virus. And it having leaked from an infectious disease lab — whether accidentally or intentionally — made that case much easier to make,” he admitted.

“Do I think that’s what happened?” he asked.

“That Trump knew — like, really knew — way back then that Covid had come from a lab? Or was he just saying stuff — and that stuff wound up being proven correct in the long run? Honestly, I am not sure we will ever know.”

“It never entered my mind that, as president, it was possible that Trump had been privy to information not publicly available on the virus,” Cillizza wrote.

Cillizza concluded: “Just because Trump talks out of his ass a fair amount doesn’t mean everything he says is him talking out of his ass. Don’t disqualify the possibility of Trump telling the truth solely because he is a decidedly inconsistent messenger when it comes to truth.”

Joy Reid Guest Goes Off on Bizarre Rant: “DEI About Disabled Veterans, Not Race”

MSNBC host Joy Reid made a surprising interpretation of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) this week, claiming it was not about race, gender, or identity politics but about supporting disabled veterans.

Who knew?

During a discussion with her guest, Everett Kelley, National President of the American Federation of Government Employees, both criticized President Donald Trump‘s executive order to shut down DEI offices across federal agencies.

Reid began by referring to the order and asking Kelley how his union would respond.

“This memo, we can put it up on screen, and it went to all heads and acting heads of departments and agencies, shuttering DEI offices and other things. What is the union’s response going to be?” Reid asked.

Kelley argued that the public misconceptions about DEI need to be corrected. “We have an obligation to educate the public as to what DEI really is because, number one, it’s not affirmative action as some might think,” Kelley stated.

He then framed DEI as a program that accommodates disabled veterans in federal jobs.

You heard that right.

“DEI is about making sure that, say, a veteran may have a handicap, an injury from the services, and come to work for the federal government,” Kelley said. “DEI would make sure that that veteran has the, I guess, I would say the opportunity to work in a job, and they were placed in a position where they could accommodate that veteran and so that they can do their job.”

Kelley then insisted that DEI has been misunderstood as a program focused on racial or gender quotas. “It’s not about the color of a person’s skin. It’s about disabled veterans being accommodated,” he added.

Reid chimed in, dismissing the idea that DEI is a racial or gender-based initiative. “And it’s not a quota program. Let’s just be clear. They believe DEI just means black people getting jobs, and so when they see a black person in any job, they say, ‘Oh, that person’s a DEI hire.’”

Reid also pulled out the race card to target anyone daring to question Vice President Kamala Harris’s qualifications.

However, then-candidate Joe Biden openly admitted that choosing a female running mate was a result of mounting pressure from within the Democratic Party for him to select a black woman.

Reid and Kelley’s claim that DEI is a patriotic program for disabled veterans flies against the reality that it is actually about gender equity and LGBTQ+ inclusion.

It appears they are trying to repackage DEI for it to survive under Trump’s presidency.

Regardless of their attempts to re-market DEI, Trump moves forward with his plans to eliminate it from federal agencies.

Angry Chicago Resident Slams Dems For Trying to Thwart Trump’s Deportation Agenda

Chicago resident Vashon Tuncle called out state and local officials for pushing back against the Trump administration’s deportation of illegal migrants.

President Donald Trump is making good on his promise to shut down the U.S. southern border and carry out mass deportations of criminal illegal aliens.

During an appearance on The Ingraham Angle,” host Laura Ingraham asked Tuncle for his thoughts on Democratic Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker and Democratic Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson over their opposition to the deportations.

“How do you guys sleep at night knowing that there are rapists out here that committed these heinous crimes against the children and the women?” Tuncle asked, referring to Johnson and Pritzker.

“How do you guys sleep at night knowing that we’re half a billion dollars in debt when it comes to these illegals?”

“How do these men sleep at night knowing that you’re putting illegal immigrants that are committing crimes over the American citizens? I just can’t believe that they’re doing this.”

Johnson announced he would team up with the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) to launch a “Know Your Rights” ad campaign to help illegals when they visited “by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.” Pritzker also vowed to “stand in the way” of federal efforts if the feds were to break state laws.

Since Joe Biden took office in 2021, over 10 million illegal migrants are believed to have entered the U.S., with sanctuary cities like New York City buckling under the flood of newcomers.

Last year, Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams said the city spent $2 billion on housing and rent for illegal migrants, $2 billion on services and supplies, and almost $500 million on food, medical aid, IT, and administrative costs

Tuncle stated that those who have crossed into the U.S. are “committing a crime.”

“We have to just start putting Americans first. It’s just as simple as that. I believe [border czar] Tom Homan is doing the right job when it comes to putting Americans first,” Tuncle said.

“I just want to say this to all the criers out there who are crying over the undocumented immigrants who’ve been here for years and whatever, like Selena Gomez. Tom Homan has already made this clear. If you are here illegally, you’re not off the table.”

“You are committing a crime within itself if you’re here illegally in America.”

New CIA Director Ratcliffe Commits to Investigating COVID Origins, Countering China

John Ratcliffe, the newly confirmed director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), laid out his priorities in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News following his confirmation by the U.S. Senate on Thursday.

Ratcliffe, sworn in by Vice President J.D. Vance, emphasized the need to reform the agency, depoliticize its operations, and confront the geopolitical threats posed by China.

Ratcliffe made it clear that one of his first actions as CIA director will be addressing the agency’s lack of a formal assessment on the origins of COVID-19.

The virus, which has claimed over a million American lives, has been at the center of a heated debate over whether it originated naturally or leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.

“I’ve been on record as you know in saying I think our intelligence, our science, and our common sense all really dictate that the origins of COVID was a leak at the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” Ratcliffe said.

“But the CIA has not made that assessment or at least not made that assessment publicly. So I’m going to focus on that and look at the intelligence and make sure that the public is aware that the agency is going to get off the sidelines.”

The CIA has faced criticism in recent years, with allegations that analysts were bribed to dismiss the lab leak theory.

While the lab leak hypothesis has gained significant traction, the agency has yet to take an official stance, a position Ratcliffe intends to change.

Ratcliffe highlighted China as the top foreign threat to U.S. national security and vowed to provide President Donald Trump with the intelligence needed to counter Chinese aggression.

“As President Trump deals with President Xi [Jinping], he needs to be armed with the very best intelligence,” Ratcliffe said.

“If they caused or contributed to the death of a million Americans, the president needs to be armed with that.”

Ratcliffe’s stance on China is consistent with his tenure as Director of National Intelligence (DNI), during which he warned of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) influence and nefarious activities.

He co-authored a 2023 op-ed with former Deputy Director of National Intelligence Cliff Sims, detailing the growing threat posed by China.

The CIA director criticized the intelligence community for its slow response to the shifting global landscape, noting that much of the establishment remains focused on Russia, despite China emerging as the United States’ primary geopolitical adversary.

Ratcliffe argued that the U.S. intelligence and foreign policy establishment has failed to adapt to the realities of the 21st century, where China’s economic and technological advancements present a greater challenge than Russia.

“You have people who have been at the different intelligence agencies for so long and focused on the Russia threat — and, as you said, legitimately because [Vladimir] Putin is a bad guy and a regime with a huge nuclear stockpile that we need to talk about — but the Intelligence Community has been slow to adjust to the fact that China is the primary geopolitical threat we face,” Ratcliffe explained.

He cited the CCP’s influence in Washington, Wall Street, Silicon Valley, and Hollywood as factors that have hindered the U.S. response.

“From Washington, D.C., to Wall Street to Silicon Valley to Hollywood, there has been a desire to keep China from being labeled a bad guy because a lot of people make a lot of money from China and in China,” he said.

Ratcliffe also took aim at former CIA Director John Brennan, accusing him of steering the agency in the wrong direction during the Obama administration.

Ratcliffe’s goal, he said, is to return the CIA to its core mission of protecting U.S. national security and ensuring that intelligence is free from political interference.

As Ratcliffe takes the helm, he has signaled a commitment to tackling the major challenges posed by China, restoring accountability within the CIA, and ensuring that the agency is equipped to address the complex threats of the modern era.

Trump 2028?: GOP Lawmaker Proposes Constitutional Amendment for Potential Third Term

A Republican congressman has introduced a proposed amendment to the U.S. Constitution that could pave the way for former President Donald Trump to potentially serve a third term in the White House.

Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN) announced the amendment, stating it would allow a two-term president to serve a third term if the terms were non-consecutive.

Ogles argued the change is necessary to ensure the country can benefit from what he called “bold leadership” during times of crisis.

“President Trump’s decisive leadership stands in stark contrast to the chaos, suffering, and economic decline Americans have endured over the past four years,” Ogles said in a statement on Thursday.

“He has proven himself to be the only figure in modern history capable of reversing our nation’s decay and restoring America to greatness, and he must be given the time necessary to accomplish that goal.”

The proposed amendment reads:

“No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.”

The amendment would create a legal framework to allow a president to serve a third term under certain conditions.

If passed, it would add to the historical precedent of non-consecutive presidencies, a distinction currently held only by President Grover Cleveland, who served as both the 22nd and 24th President of the United States.

The 22nd Amendment, ratified in 1951, currently limits presidents to two terms.

This was established after Franklin Delano Roosevelt served an unprecedented four terms, setting a new precedent for presidential term limits.

While the proposed amendment aligns with Rep. Ogles’ vision for Trump’s leadership, Trump himself has often joked about the idea of a third term.

His remarks, frequently made in jest, have nonetheless drawn strong reactions from his critics.

One of Trump’s notable posts on his Truth Social platform included a meme depicting campaign signs for “Trump 2024, Trump 2028, Trump 2032,” eventually expanding into far-off centuries.

The post was widely circulated and sparked debate across political circles.

Following his victory in the 2024 election, Trump joked during a meeting with Republican lawmakers about the prospect of another term. “I suspect I won’t be running again, unless you do something,” he said. “Unless you say, ‘He’s so good, we have to just figure it out.’”

Republican lawmakers who attended the meeting clarified that the comments were made in jest.

“That was a joke. It was clearly a joke,” said Rep. Tim Burchett (R-OK). Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) reportedly echoed the sentiment, predicting media outlets would mischaracterize the president’s comments as serious.

Despite the proposed amendment and his occasional jokes, Trump has stated that he does not plan to pursue a third term.

“I wouldn’t be in favor of a challenge. Not for me. I wouldn’t be in favor of it at all,” Trump told Time magazine in a prior interview.

“I intend to serve four years and do a great job. And I want to bring our country back. I want to put it back on the right track.”

While the amendment faces significant legal and political hurdles, it underscores the continued influence of Trump’s presidency and the strong support he maintains among Republican lawmakers and voters.
