CBS News Accused Of Editing An Interview To Favor Democrats… Again

House Speaker Mike Johnson accused CBS News of selectively editing interviews to favor Democrats and hinder Republicans.

The Republican Speaker posted a thread on the social media platform X detailing instances where interviews had been cut, or edited, by the broadcaster.

“CBS has been under fire for selectively editing their interviews to promote Democrats and undermine Republicans,” Speaker Johnson wrote on X. “Yesterday, they chose to cut FIVE important minutes out of my nearly 15-minute interview.”

Johnson shared a clip of a Fox & Friends First, where one of his text messages were read out in which he declared he would never conduct a pre-recorded interview with CBS again.

The House Speaker then shared examples of malicious editing. In the first, Johnson’s remarks about people impacted by Hurricane Helene first-hand were cut out of the interview.

CBS also edited a clip regarding non-citizen voting. Specifically, the broadcaster removed Johnson’s comments praising the actions of Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, who has led efforts to ensure a fair election within his jurisdiction.

Last, but by no means, Johnson shared a clip discussing the SAVE Act which was edited out by CBS.

Although broadcasters regularly edit pre-recorded interviews, it is considered deeply unprofessional to do so in a way which may favor one candidate over another.

It’s not the first time CBS has been accused of this behavior, with Kamala Harris’ “60 Minutes” interview receiving the same edited treatment.

Trump Confirms Upcoming Appearance On Joe Rogan Experience

Rumors are circulating that Joe Rogan could be about to interview Donald Trump.

The UFC commentator hosts the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) – the world’s most popular podcast, and regularly interviews public figures and political activists such as Matt Walsh, Elon Musk, and Robert F. Kennedy.

Musk in particular has been a notable guest, having appeared on JRE three times since 2018. He has also become closely associated with Trump’s presidential campaign in recent months, going as far as launching the America Super PAC in support of the former president.

Social media has long speculated over a possible Trump appearance on Rogan’s podcast. Rogan’s tolerance towards different points of view, open-ended interview style and general popularity has convinced many of his suitability for a Trump campaign stop, while the two have previously met at UFC events.

Rumors escalated though on Thursday, Oct. 10 when Musk responded to a ZeroHedge article calling for Rogan to interview the former president, opining that “It will happen.”

Trump himself gave the biggest indication of a historic podcast two days later. In a clip from the soon-to-be released interview with the Nelk Boys, Trump confirmed his upcoming appearance on JRE.

“You’re doing a lot of podcasts recently. One that I would love to see you on, I think Joe Rogan has to have you on. Would you do that?” host Kyle Forgeard asked.

Trump replied, “I think I’m doing it, actually.”

Forgeard followed up “so you are going to do Joe Rogan?”

“Yeah I am,” Trump confirmed.

Many were thrilled by the prospect of a Rogan/Trump podcast.

Others offered predictions ahead of its release.

“It’s Indistinguishable From The Party” – MSNBC Producer Exposes Network’s Bias Towards The Democrats In Undercover Video

An undercover investigation by the O’Keefe Media Group (OMG) found an MSNBC producer admitting to the broadcaster’s role in promoting Donald Trump in the election campaign.

The 11-minute video (below) released on Thursday, Oct. 3, shows producer Basel Hamdan acknowledging MSNBC as a “mouthpiece for the Democratic Party”, revealing that the corporation is “doing all they can to help” Kamala Harris defeat Donald Trump in next month’s presidential election.

Hamdan said MSBNC’s coverage reflects Harris’ messaging on a particular day in his conversation with an undercover female journalist. He added that the network’s audience had “dumbed down” in recent years, allowing the network to relax on critical journalism.

“The type of people who work in Democratic politics and in the campaign are often the same type of people who appear on air at MSNBC,” Hamdan continued. “It reinforces the point I’m making: this news network is indistinguishable from the party.”

The producer has since locked his social media presence in the wake of a furious viewership.

Although MSNBC has long been considered a left-wing broadcaster with extreme liberals such as Joy Reid regularly featuring, the bursting of an open secret is nevertheless still shocking.

Several commentors on social media also wondered how Hamdan failed to spot the undercover journalist.

CNN In Meltdown Over Melania Trump’s $250,000 Interview Fee

Melania Trump gave the middle finger to the left-wing CNN by requesting $250,000 for an interview to promote her new book.

The wife of former president Donald is promoting her self-titled memoir, due to be published Tuesday, Oct. 8, about her tenure in the White House as First Lady of the United States.

CNN said that following weeks of negotiations, Melania’s publisher sent an “unusual” demand for an interview, namely a $250,000 fee. It also contained a non-disclosure agreement featuring “strict terms” with a $100,000 fee for each breach.

CNN then proceeded to criticize Melania by highlighting previous appearance fees and using comments from critical interviewees.

Given the usual resumption of hostile coverage, it’s perhaps no wonder that Melania chose to snub CNN. It’s amusing that CNN doesn’t even seem to understand the message being sent here. Just like how leaving a one-cent tip to a waiter is technically “more generous” than leaving none but is way more insulting, Melania is deliberately mocking CNN in denying their interview – and once more in saying she’d be willing only for right price to make it worth her time.

In what most publications would consider a non-story, CNN continued to highlight their distress by arguing that paying a fee for interviews is “viewed by the industry as crossing ethical boundaries and is not standard practice.” In total the broadcaster dedicated more than 1,200 words to the article.

The also covered the story on air, in what made for amusing television:

As Fox News denied paying a fee for their interview with the former first lady, some thought Melania’s fee was a deliberate troll against the left-wing corporation.

Other commentors shared instances of Democrats earning from appearance fees.

Joy Reid Claims Donald Trump Wants To “Do Violence” On Black Voters

Joy Reid claimed Donald Trump wants to “do violence” to the Black community in yet another race-baiting rant by the leftist MSNBC broadcaster.

Reid has made a number of dubious claims during the election campaign; at times she’s been an asset to the GOP when she accidentally debunked the Democrats’ Project 2025 hoax. She also alienated moderates over her upset regarding Trump’s desire to end anti-white racism, and her crazy comments over “white Christian nationalism” drew the attention of X owner Elon Musk days before he endorsed the former president.

Reid’s latest divisive rhetoric is shocking, however, given that Trump has been the target of two assassination attempts so far this year.

In a fabrication of Trump’s campaign message, Reid said, “These blacks are stealing the election. Black Haitians are violent cannibals. Black people are the enemy. Black people are going to be responsible if and when I lose. And you are permitted through my language to do violence to them, if necessary, to stop another peaceful transfer of power.”

Her comments mark the second time in as many days that Reid has been called out for her questionable rhetoric.

Many commentors also noted that Trump’s support among non-white voters is substantial.

CBS News “Fact-Check” Debunked… By CBS News’ Own Reporting

CBS News suffered an embarrassing fact-check against itself in the wake of the vice presidential debate.

The broadcaster, responsible for hosting the debate between Tim Walz and J.D. Vance, disputed the Ohio Sen.’s claim that Vice President Kamala Harris “became the appointed border czar.”

“Vice President Kamala Harris was not asked to be the administration’s “border czar” or to oversee immigration policy and enforcement at the U.S.-Mexico border,” the CBS claimed following the debate. “That has mainly been the responsibility of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and his department, which oversees the country’s main three immigration agencies, including Customs and Border Protection.”

“In reality, the only role close to that of a ‘border czar’ under the Biden administration was held for only a few months by Roberta Jacobson, a longtime diplomat who served as coordinator for the Southwest border until April 2021,” CBS added.

However, social media users soon discovered a CBS News article from March 2021 titled, “Harris to lead administration’s efforts to stem migration at border.”

The largely features comments by President Joe Biden regarding Harris’ qualifications to “stem the migration to our southern border” – effectively confirming Vance’s argument at Tuesday night’s debate.

CBS is not the first mainstream media outlet to be fact-checked by its own reporting, with the Seattle Times, CNN, and Associated Press suffering the same fate so far this election campaign when they also erroneously denied that Harris was ever Border Czar.

Pro-Hezbollah Journalist Reduced To Tears After Learning on Air the Terror Group’s Leader Had Been Killed

A Lebanese “journalist” who claims to be an ardent supporter of the Hezbollah terror group broke down in tears upon learning of the death of Hassan Nasrallah.

The former Hezbollah leader was killed in an Israeli air strike on Saturday, Sept. 28. The attack came after Nasrallah spent much of his later life in public hiding due to his detest of the Israeli state.

The Kremlin-owned Russia Today was conducting an interview with Marwa Osman – a prominent supporter of the terror group’s activities in Lebanon and reporter for the Iran-backed Press TV. She had previously mocked attacks on Jewish citizens when Hamas invaded Israeli territory while also praising the kidnappings conducted against innocent civilians on October 7, 2023.

Upon learning about the death of Nasrallah on Saturday, Osman broke down in tears, waving her hands in front of the camera before turning off her screen as the host says “so sorry, let’s end the interview there.”

Many on social media simply couldn’t help but laugh at her despair.

Despite breaking down on television, Osman tried to regain her composure after the clip went viral.

Mark Cuban Thinks The Mainstream Media Is Right-Wing

Left-wing billionaire Mark Cuban was the subject of a car crash interview with CNBC on Thursday, Sept. 26.

The Shark Tank star has been a prolific supporter of Kamala Harris throughout her short campaign, and has followed the party line in bashing Donald Trump wherever possible.

His comments have often been met with ridicule, and Thursday morning’s interview was no exception.

Despite his insistence to praise Harris, Cuban was struck down by conservative news anchor Joe Kernan when the billionaire tried to dismiss the Vice President’s association with the current administration. “So, she can take credit for the good things that happened with Biden, but she didn’t have anything to do with the bad things,” said Kernan.

Another clip from the interview dominated social media shortly after it aired. In a bid to save face, Cuban claimed that the mainstream media had turned conservative due to Fox News’ popularity among viewers. “The mainstream media is not who you think it is. The mainstream media truly leans right,” Cuban said.

This is despite evidence that just over 3% of journalists are affiliated with the GOP according to a recent poll. By contrasts, around half (51.7%) describe themselves as an independent, while more than a third (36.4%) are tied to the Democratic Party.

Social media commenters noted that many media outlets probably seem right-wing to the far-left Cuban.

Others expressed disappointment for a man they perhaps once admired.

Survey Finds Most “Misinformation Experts” Are Leftists

A new survey has revealed the political bias behind “misinformation experts.”

Published by Harvard’s Misinformation Review, the report highlights how political affiliation impacts the analysis of a misinformation expert. 83% of the 150 experts polled lean left-of-center, while only 15 identified as centrist. No participants identified themselves as “fairly or very right.”

As part of the survey, the experts were divided into subgroups. Psychologists, for example, were more likely to view misinformation as a key factor in the 2016 U.S. election, while political scientists, often more moderate, were skeptical of its impact.

The findings come amid a heightened focus on “misinformation” – a term often used instead of “fake news” by the left. Concerns over Kamala Harris’ faltering campaign has prompted some media outlets to join the attack on Donald Trump surrounded by an army of “fact-checkers” and experts with left-wing viewpoints.

It does raise questions as to whether a correlation between the political leanings of the federal government and fact-checkers is somewhat Orwellian.

Everyone Agrees: There’s A “Crisis of Confidence” In The Federal Government

In July of 1979, then-President Jimmy Carter took to the airwaves to address the nation about a threat that he believed “strikes at the very heart and soul and spirit of our national will.” Carter called it a “nearly invisible threat” that in many ways goes unnoticed. Carter dubbed it “a crisis of confidence.”

We can see this crisis in the growing doubt about the meaning of our own lives and in the loss of a unity of purpose for our nation. The erosion of our confidence in the future is threatening to destroy the social and the political fabric of America.

But, even during his own trying times, Carter dismissed out of hand the idea that the soul of America was at stake during his “crisis of confidence,” stating, “I do not mean our political and civil liberties.”

“They will endure.”

Forty-five years later, I fear I cannot say the same, as I firmly believe that America faces a new “crisis of confidence” threatening to destroy our social and political fabric.

Ten years ago, you might have dismissed my opinion as conspiratorial nonsense. Yes, we have a growing partisan divide. But no one would dare weaponize the levers of power in government to lord over political rivals.

Anyone paying attention to politics since President Donald Trump shocked the political establishment to its core in 2016 would laugh at our naivete.

When Trump defeated Hillary Clinton, the embodiment of an entrenched political legacy and the poster child of Washington “swamp” culture, a “fight or flight” reflex activated in partisans on the left, breaking a détente which Carter most likely imagined would endure; a silent agreement to never weaponize the powers entrusted to the federal government by We The People against a political rival.

I need not remind you of the myriad ways an unholy union of government power brokers, mainstream media, big tech social media platforms, and government bureaucracy behaved during the Trump years. Merely invoking the name “Hunter Biden” should be sufficient shorthand summarizing the left’s amplification (to the point of absurdity) of “Orange Man Bad” and the suppression of credible facts and circumstance that ran counter to their skewed narrative. From this manipulation spawned a form of fanatical tribalism that saw many politicians crossing lines that Carter took for granted.

Which brings us to the current political climate. It is a climate where it has become commonplace to call fellow Americans a “threat to democracy,” “vicious,” “dangerous,” or “extreme.” It’s a political climate where odious individuals go on national television and say, “They’re still going to have to go out and put a bullet in Donald Trump.”

And wouldn’t you know it? After nearly a decade of ratcheting up the temperature to a boiling point, someone tried to do just that.

Actually, two somebodies.

In the wake of this climate and the two assassination attempts that followed, it would be malpractice to not question what the hell is going on in the federal government. It would also not be unreasonable to debate whether government Is this incompetent or whether the near decade of political tribalism has taken its toll on essential government functions, like the protection of a political rival.

But that is where we are at. In the fallout of these assassination attempts, the latest of which prompted Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis to state that “it is not in the best interests of our state and nation to have the same federal agencies seeking to prosecute Trump leading this investigation.”

It is not just partisans on the right like DeSantis expressing a lack of confidence in the federal government. Even the staunchest voices on the left who are investigating cannot help but to criticize the Biden administration – of which they’re part of – because they too want to know how a shooter got onto a rooftop with a rifle and was able to get off multiple shots killing civilians in what should have been one of the most safe places anyone should have been.

Voices like Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), the chair of the panel charged by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee – who is no friend of Donald Trump – has expressed his dismay with the federal government failures as well as his opinion that our government has been less than forthcoming with relevant information:

I think the American people are going to be shocked and appalled by our findings as to the lapses and failures —  on that day, at that site, but also more deep seeded — still plaguing the Secret Service, And I think the American people are also going to be deeply disappointed in the Department of Homeland Security, not just in the lapses In performance, but also in its resistance to providing information.

Those are pretty disturbing sentiments, made even more terrifying knowing that a second attempt happened weeks later. Same target. Same agency. Same lapses.

If partisans on both sides of the aisle are so brazenly questioning the effectiveness of the federal government to do its job, how can we not openly do the same?
