The swing state of Nevada has flipped Red in terms of voter registration numbers, according to new data. Alas, registered Republicans now outnumber Democrats by 187 in the state which Donald Trump won by 3.11 percentage points in November 2024.
A total of 8,186 registered Democrats ditched their party affiliation in January 2025. While the GOP also saw losses, they were less than half of that of their Democratic counterparts (-3,832).
The number of Republicans (618,538) in the state is not far from the Election Day 2020 figure of 602,302. It also marks an increase of 7,000 since the most recent presidential election.
On the other hand, the Democrats – once 689,025-strong in Nevada – are now down to 618,352. Despite January’s large-scale losses, the Democrats have only lost 91 registered voters since Kamala Harris’ electoral defeat last November.
As a result, Republicans now lead Democrats in voter registration numbers for the first time in 18 years.
It’s not clear how many voters have flipped from blue to red, but the large increases for other parties suggest many are seeking third-party or independent alternatives. Non-GOP/Democrat registered voters make up 854,313 of the 2.1 million with active party registration – an increase of 280,000 from November 2020.
It is remarkable to see how the red surge continues! As I’ve said before, you don’t normally see margins like this continuing immediately following an election.
An Obama Presidential Center in Chicago contractor has filed a $40 million lawsuit alleging racial discrimination, the New York Postreports.
Subcontractor Robert McGee accuses the engineering firm managing the construction of the Obama Center, Thornton Tomasetti, of racial discrimination. He says the discriminatory practice forced his firm II in One to do extra work, leaving him at risk of bankruptcy.
The Obama Center is being constructed at Jackson Park in Chicago, Illinois, at a cost of $830 million. It will host a museum, library, and community and conference facilities. The Obama Foundation, which offers scholarships via the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy, will oversee its development.
It features a 235-foot-high “museum tower,” a two-story event space, an athletic center, a recording studio, a winter garden, and a sledding hill.
However, it will not host any presidential records. Instead, it will display 30 million pages of digitized unclassified documents with no on-site archivists to assist researchers. Construction was expected to start in 2018 but was delayed until 2021, with its opening expected in 2026. Environmentalists also opposed the project and filed lawsuits, citing its environmental impacts, including cutting down trees and destroying bird habitat. However, the Obama Center claimed it would plant new trees, providing new bird habitats.
Meanwhile, McGee accuses Thornton Tomasetti of falsely accusing his firm of lacking sufficient qualifications and experience to perform the work, adding that “non-minority-owned contractors were sufficiently qualified.” The allegation suggests that DEI was involved in awarding the contract.
Thornton Tomasetti denies the racial discrimination allegations, citing the subcontractor’s “underperformance and inexperience.” The firm states that the “multitude of problems” caused by the alleged incompetence of the African-American-owned firm allegedly resulted in hundreds of hours spent “reviewing, analyzing, re-designing and responding to corrective work.” Additionally, Tomasetti says the subcontractor behind the $40 million lawsuit was “questionably qualified.”
"II in One", a black-owned subcontractor, is suing Thornton Tomasetti, the inspector for the engineering firm overseeing construction. They claim unfair standards were used to push them out of the project
It makes it clear in no uncertain terms that II in One's status as a minority owned business played a large role in the acquiring of the contract with the Obama foundation. pic.twitter.com/3BI26vxsho
However, the subcontractor says Thornton Tomasetti changed standards and imposed new rebar spacing and tolerance requirements differing from the American Concrete Institute standards. The changes resulted in “excessively rigorous and unnecessary inspection,” resulting in extensive paperwork that affected productivity, causing losses amounting to millions.
The result? Bad contracts, wasted taxpayer money, and endless race-based lawsuits like this one. When race, not competence, decides who gets a contract, we end up with higher costs and lower-quality work—as seen at the Obama Center. pic.twitter.com/QNwZA2K698
In addition, Thornton Tomasetti denies the racial discrimination allegations, stating that it and the architectural firm involved in the Obama Center’s construction “bent over backwards to assist what everyone knows was a questionably qualified subcontractor team in areas where more qualified subcontractor would not have required it.”
Obama’s policies were instrumental in establishing DEI hiring practices, including the FAA policy that turned down nearly a thousand air traffic controllers.
The Democratic Party recorded its lowest ever favorability rating in a new poll from Quinnipiac University.
The survey found that only 31% of respondents had a favorable opinion of the Democrats, compared to 57% who did not. Interestingly, 15% of Democrat respondents held an unfavorable view of their own party, as did 59% of independents. Women (39%) were more likely to have a favorable view of the Democratic Party than men (22%).
“This is the highest percentage of voters having an unfavorable opinion of the Democratic Party since the Quinnipiac University Poll began asking this question,” said the poll’s authors, who have produced the survey since 2008.
The GOP fared better once the usual split along party lines was factored out. Independents generally held a more favorable view (36%) of the Republicans than the Democrats, with less than half (48%) holding an unfavorable opinion. Men (48%) were more likely to hold a positive view than women (37%), but the GOP performed better than the Democrats in both demographics.
While Democrats are polling at its lowest, the GOP is viewed more favorably than it ever has been.
New Quinnipiac poll finds 57% of voters have an unfavorable view of the Democratic Party (the highest unfavorable % for D's in Quinnipiac history).
By contrast, 43% of voters have a favorable view of the Republican Party (the highest favorable % for R's in Quinnipiac history). pic.twitter.com/hCU9vTDc3Z

The Spanish-language version of the White House website was taken offline this week, with users being met with a “Page Not Found” error and a button labeled “Go Home.”
The site had been operational until President Donald Trump was sworn in on January 20.
The Spanish-language White House website underscores its longstanding role in reaching Spanish-speaking Americans.
Trump’s administration previously removed the Spanish version during his first term, however; its recent takedown sparked meltdowns among leftists because of the redirect message when one tried to visit the site.
A redirect button reading “Go Home” was present, which some interpreted and some interpreted as a message for Spanish speakers to return to their countries of origin. The message has since been changed to “Go to Home Page” for clarification. Obviously the original “Go Home” message was referring to the home page the whole time, but it’s still a hilarious coincidence, and you know liberals still won’t be convinced it was just that.
"La Casa Blanca," the Spanish Whitehouse website has been deleted and the home redirection link now says “GO HOME”. pic.twitter.com/CXoX7KjsXi
TikTok user’s video brought up the issue, saying “For those of us who are immigrants, nothing captures better what went down today than the takedown of the White House website in Spanish that says ‘Go Home.’”
The White House website is literally telling people to Go Home.
One commenter on X called the wording “devilish,” while another stated, “My jaw actually dropped.”
Other users user speculated that the original message might have been deliberate in order to provoke the left.
White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Harrison Fields addressed the issue, stating that the administration is committed to restoring the Spanish-language section of the website.
“It’s day two. We are in the process of developing, editing, and tweaking the White House website. As part of this ongoing work, some of the archived content on the website went dormant. We are committed to reloading that content in a short timeline,” Fields told the Associated Press.
“By taking down the Spanish website and moving everything to one website, the Trump team is creating a space that will be unified, not divided—bringing Americans together in one place and reinforcing the idea of a unified country—regardless of race, language, country of origin, and culture,” he added.
Joe Biden pardoned more people than any other president during his four-year tenure with the exception of one: Jimmy Carter.
The former president’s last hours in office saw him controversially issue pardons to government officials and family members, subsequently raising questions as to how many people Biden had pardoned.
If Fauci was just a doctor who helped save lives why does the president need to pardon him to protect him from prosecution?
In total, the 82-year-old pardoned 8034 people – 6500 of whom had their convictions quashed for marijuana possession. Only Jimmy Carter, who signed Proclamation 4483, granting conditional amnesty to more than 200,000 people who evaded the draft during the Vietnam War supersedes Biden’s tally. Even with the 6500 marijuana commutations excluded, this still holds true for Biden.

— West Wing Report (Edited by Paul Brandus) (@WestWingReport) January 21, 2025
Reconstruction Era president Andrew Johnson is third on the list for his pardon of 7,654 people – many of whom were ex-Confederates. Franklin D. Roosevelt, during his 12-year tenure, issued 3,687 pardons while Woodrow Wilson rounded off the top five (2,480).
On Monday, President Donald Trump pardoned 1,500 defendants of Jan. 6, adding to his 237 from his first term – which sent liberals liberals into hysterics. Oddly, the same liberals didn’t make a peep when he was preemptively pardoning his family, or letting murderers off death row.
Barack Obama pardoned 1,927 people while in office – far more than the 459 and 200 of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush respectively.
What do you do when your a J6 er and you have just been released from prison after 4 long years. ……..
Only William Henry Harrison and James A. Garfield pardoned no one during their short-lived stints in office, while George Washington pardoned the fewest people of any president to serve a full term.
Donald Trump, for example, now has ownership of the @POTUS handle as well as @realDonaldTrump on X, despite the fact that his preferred platform is his very own Truth Social.
Most politicians have two accounts: one for official government duty, and another to share personal thoughts and opinions. Up until Monday, Jan. 20, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were no different.
Intriguingly, though, neither have shared too much love for each other since the election on their personal pages. The bizarre “bromance” between Biden and Barack Obama widely discussed among Democrats in the final days of the latter’s presidency seems like a bygone era.
Biden and Harris barely referenced each other during the transition period, with Harris only posting about her former boss once following her landslide defeat in November last year.
President @JoeBiden and I finalized a rule that will eliminate medical debt from your credit score.
As someone who has spent my career fighting to protect consumers and lower medical bills, I know our historic rule will help more Americans save money, build wealth, and thrive.
The Independent reported that the two’s relationship had turned “frosty”. And according to a Wall Street Journal article, Harris was reportedly upset over Biden’s publicly-stated belief that he could have beaten the 47th President of the United States.
JUST IN: President Biden says he could have and would have won the 2024 election, says Kamala Harris could have and would have won too.
Someone should tell him that Kamala did in fact run and did not win.
This discontent has, arguably, been apparent for some time. After being forced from the Democratic nomination, Biden pulled stunts such as appearing in a MAGA hat while issuing ill-advised remarks about Trump’s supporters. He also smiled with glee the day after the election, and there were many times where Jill Biden seemed to enjoy the company of her husband’s political rival more than his second-in-command.
Interesting
Not-a-doctor Jill Biden refuses to look at Kamala Harris
Do Biden and Harris now hate each other? It’s a strong word, and the two – at least at a personal level – can look back at fond memories of their four-year tenure. It’s unlikely, however, they’ll be on each other’s Christmas card list anytime soon.
Joe Biden spent his last hours in office issuing presidential pardons to allies and later family members.
The former president issued preemptive pardons in the dying minutes of his presidency. Ex-White House chief medical adviser, Anthony Fauci, retired Gen. Mark Milley and lawmakers who investigated Jan. 6 all received presidential pardons as Biden claimed they faced “revenge” under the new administration.
Furthermore, with less than 20 minutes before his tenure officially came to an end, Biden pardoned relatives such as brothers James and Francis, sister Valerie and sister and brother-in-law respectively, Sara and John Biden.
“My family has been subjected to unrelenting attacks and threats, motivated solely by a desire to hurt me – the worst kind of partisan politics. Unfortunately, I have no reason to believe these attacks will end,” Biden said.
However, his last-minute pardons – timely issued as the eyes of the world centered on President Donald Trump’s inauguration – spurred criticism of hypocrisy for someone who criticized his successor for exploring pardons four years ago.
Trump’s usage of pardons was slammed by senior Democrats during the last transition of power. Following Biden’s sweeping wave of statements on Jan. 20, 2025, a resurfaced clip of Democrat Senate leader Chuck Schumer lambasting the now two-term president went viral on X.
FLASHBACK: Chuck Schumer on Trump potentially issuing preemptive pardons:
“That would be a gross abuse of the presidential pardon authority”
Sen. Schumer described Trump’s proposed use of preemptive pardons as a “a gross abuse of the presidential pardon authority” in the closing days of Trump’s first presidency – comments which were revisited by conservatives online on Inauguration Day.
Others called for constitutional reform on the use of pardons.
Time to make some real changes!! This is not what the power of pardons is supposed to be used for. Challenge the validity of these pardons, take it to SCOTUS, whatever it takes.
If you haven’t already, you’re going to hear from many more former leftists who have gone to the right. Since Donald Trump first took office in the White House in 2016, the Democrat party has gone insane. The constant drumbeat of “Russia-gate” and the “very fine people” lie were bad enough during Trump’s first term.
But the Biden presidency, and its signature issue, the “pandemic,” showed a party completely unmoored from all reality. Not partial; complete. Not only did the federal government shut down the economy over an illness that didn’t do more than a bad flu usually does, but it forced thousands of small businesses to close forever. The government interfered with the rental housing market and forced landlords to give apartments to people for free.
Meanwhile, the Democrats and the left have tried to compel Americans to believe there’s no such thing as biological sex, all while cheering for gruesome chemical and surgical child abuse that it calls “gender-affirming care.”
And now, after Los Angeles is burning in the worst wildfire in the nation’s history, even more Democrats have said “enough.”
It’s happening in the upper echelons of politics, too. Lindy Li is a former fundraiser for the Democrat party. Until very recently, she was drumming up support for Joe Biden, then for Kamala Harris. Now, she tells the Daily Mail that she was “fully indoctrinated in the Democratic cult.”
In what Li calls the most “painful but rewarding” periods of her life, Li has jumped ship as is looking forward to attending the inauguration of Donald Trump on Jan. 20. Originally born in China but living in the U.S. since she was four years old, Li said she woke up when she saw the gulf between the party’s claims and reality. Harris, she was told, was a shoo-in for the presidency, but in fact, the public hated her. Not only that, but the party wasted billions of dollars, some that Li raised, on a worthless campaign full of lies and empty promises.
She tells her story in an exclusive interview with the Mail. In recent media appearances, Li puts her finger on how the Democrat party does it: “They pretend to be so loving and caring.”
Kamala campaign advisor Lindy Li quits the Democrat Party and explains how she was treated “Masks off. They pretend to be so loving and caring.” pic.twitter.com/JCiupt9gQY
Naturally, not everyone is willing to trust a defector right away.
Yeah? So why tf was she pushing Kamala’s/leftist agenda by being an advisor to the campaign. Just another rat jumping the sinking ship. Trusting these people can be fatal.

But she had to know this beforehand? She watched others get treated with this hatred but ignored it until it was directed at her. I'm glad she figured it out though, and it's a very large switch from advising the Kamala campaign to dropping the Democratic Party.
Pennsylvania Democrat Senator John Fetterman has surprised people on both sides of the aisle for the past few years. The former mayor of Braddock, Pennsylvania, took up public office in the rust belt town on a mission to revitalize the failing rural economy. He didn’t come from a small town, or from a poor family. Instead, he grew up in York County in a comfortable middle class home. Not only that, he earned a Master’s degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
In other words, Fetterman had cemented his progressive bona fides. Then in 2022, he suffered a severe stroke that left him with obvious difficulty reading and speaking. Not without cause, Republican critics questioned whether he was fit for office as it was often impossible to understand his speech or to have confidence that he was able to understand information he was taking in. But Fetterman steadily improved, though his progress was slowed by a severe bout of depression that had him hospitalized in 2023.
By the end of 2023, he drew a line in the sand with his party, which had tilted so far to the extreme left that even lifelong Democrats were getting alarmed at what the party was doing. Fetterman declared “I’m not a progressive” as he took the Democrats to task for their anti-Israel lurch and their unwillingness to admit that unchecked immigration was out of control.
Now he’s shocking the establishment again. They’re easy to shock, of course. Just try saying something like, “Men cannot change sex and become women” and the cackling hens on cable news will start squawk-screeching about a holocaust-against-trans-people. On January 7 Fetterman sat down with Fox News’ (bad! bad!) Brett Baier and told him he would be voting in for many of incoming President Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees, including Marco Rubio, Elise Stefanik, Sean Duffy, and more. He also confirmed he was open to considering a yes vote for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard.
Senator John Fetterman just broke the internet, not only showing his willingness to work with Trump but also throwing his fellow Democrats under the bus during an interview with Fox News’s Bret Baier.
First, in a move that surprised many, Fetterman announced he would vote YES on… pic.twitter.com/4kopsBvk5E
During his Fox appearance, Fetterman said out loud something that adult politicians would have been able to say without provoking consternation until the past several years of teenage-girl-hysteria that overtook the Democratic Party. The blue team acts–quite literally–as if agreeing with any conservative on any issue is religious heresy.
“I’m open to hear from everyone, and I don’t know why that’s controversial,” Fetterman said. “And I also would like to remind everyone on the Democratic side—that’s the way democracy works. Trump won, and now they’re going to run the table. You don’t have to agree with all of it, but I want to find a way to work together on a bunch of them.”
Let’s see what the reaction on X/Twitter looked like.
The stroke(s) proved to be a reset button. God bless you, Mr. Fetterman!
It's supposed to be about the American people, not the PARTY that feels it controls you.
When you were running for election, it seemed you were a partisan water carrier for the Democrats, but in the last 6 months, I've been impressed by your willingness to work for America, not…
Gotta be careful. We might start to like him. 😅 He's making sense in a right wing kinda way. Seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually switches sides.
This is really cool to see! Fetterman reaching out like this shows real leadership. Getting folks like Tulsi, RFK Jr, and Rubio involved could bring some fresh ideas to the table. It's awesome he's all about working together. Love the positive vibe!
I had previously been very critical of John Fetterman, and I think that I was wrong. He apparently is an independent thinker. Pennsylvania wins when our representatives are not extensions of the “Party Line”, but rather exercise their power based on principles. And, I don’t have…
The self-proclaimed defenders of democracy, otherwise known as the Democratic Party, did not object to the certification of the election results for a Republican winner for the first time since 1989.
NEW: CNN’s Van Jones can’t stop smiling as Scott Jennings completely kills the pro-Harris vibe in the room.
JENNINGS: “I think before we canonize St. Kamala here on the high holy day of January 6, let’s remember the Electoral Count Reform Act of 2022 makes it perfectly clear… pic.twitter.com/WCfEhq1bTc
Under the 12th Amendment, Congress must certify the results of every election before a new administration can take office, leading to an awkward moment for Vice President Kamala Harris as she bore witness to Senators listing every state she lost in November 2024.
Lawmakers can object to a state’s results, with 147 Republicans doing so following the controversial 2020 ballot just over four years ago, which was an anomaly under extremely suspicious election circumstances. However, despite their desire to be seen as staunch defenders of democratic processes, the Democrats have also dished out their fair share of objections to Republican President-elects.
11 objections were raised when Congress met to certify to Donald Trump’s first electoral victory in Jan. 2017, while 32 Democrats attempted to overturn the results of 2004’s presidential election. George W. Bush also saw opposition to his extraordinarily close win in 2000.
Unsurprisingly, Democrats did not object any year in which a party colleague won the election.
This was the first time Democrats haven't objected to a certification since 1989.
