Fetterman Calls Out Everyone in the Democratic Party Over Their Maduro Hypocrisy

Sen. John Fetterman commented on what he described as a noticeable shift in political dynamics and public perception surrounding Venezuela, pointing to recent developments that he said mark a new phase in how the United States is approaching the country and its leadership.

Fetterman referenced how attention has moved away from earlier flashpoint moments and toward broader consequences now unfolding.

“Yeah, well, I mean, everybody wanted to see about that video, about that boat, and now, now we’re not talking about that anymore,” Fetterman said.

“It’s like, well, here that’s that happened.”

He reflected on how Venezuela’s leadership had been widely characterized across party lines in the past, including by Democrats.

“So, you know, for me, I think Democrats, we all used to describe him as a dictator or a tyrant or a terrible person,” Fetterman said, noting that this sentiment was not distant history.

“And it wasn’t less than a year ago. President Biden raised, raised the bounty for $25 million less than a year ago.”

Fetterman suggested that circumstances have since changed, creating what he views as a different political moment.

“And now here, here, we’re in a better way to now,” he said.

He added that despite partisan differences, he is open to developments that could benefit Venezuelans.

“And that’s why I think, as a Democrat, you know, just because it’s a different party here, it’s like, I’m open to better opportunities for Venezuelan.”

He pointed to reactions from Venezuelans living in the United States as evidence of that shift.

“And now I turn to a lot of the Venezuelans in our nation, and they’re all celebrating these things,” Fetterman said.

He also acknowledged the widespread rejection of Venezuela’s previous system of governance.

“And we all recognize that kind of warm collectivism, socialism in Venezuela. No one really liked to live under that, and they had to flee that.”

Fetterman said recent legal developments signal a path forward.

“And now here we have a way forward,” he said.

He specifically referenced the initiation of legal proceedings.

“And now there’s a trial, a public trial, and now here, so that’s the way it works.”

San Francisco Signs $50 Billion Reparations Plan, But There’s a Massive Problem

San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie has signed a city ordinance establishing a reparations fund that could eventually grant eligible Black residents up to $5 million each, a move that formalizes years of debate while leaving unanswered questions about funding, eligibility, and feasibility.

The ordinance, signed just before Christmas, creates a reparations fund recommended by the city’s African American Reparations Advisory Committee, or AARAC.

The committee’s 2023 report outlined a series of proposals aimed at addressing what it described as decades of harm to San Francisco’s Black community.

The most prominent recommendation called for a $5 million lump-sum payment to every eligible African American adult in the city.

Despite the sweeping scope of the proposal, the ordinance signed by Lurie does not allocate any money to the fund.

Estimates tied to the AARAC recommendations place the potential cost at approximately $50 billion.

According to reporting by the Daily Mail, the AARAC report stated that every eligible African American adult in San Francisco should receive $5 million to “compensate the affected population for the decades of harm that they have experienced.”

The report noted that roughly 50,000 Black residents live in San Francisco, though the specific qualifying requirements for eligibility have not been clearly defined.

The $5 million payment proposal represents only one of more than 100 recommendations listed in the committee’s report.

Other suggestions included debt relief, city-funded homes for Black residents, debt forgiveness programs, and a guaranteed annual income of $97,000.

The reparations plan has faced criticism from multiple policy organizations since its release in 2023.

The libertarian Cato Institute described the proposal as “true lunacy,” arguing that even the authors of the report acknowledged that San Francisco “was never a hub of the African slave trade.”

The conservative Hoover Institution also weighed in, estimating that implementing the plan would cost each non-African American household in San Francisco roughly $600,000 in tax dollars.

Mayor Lurie has sought to distance the ordinance from immediate financial consequences for city taxpayers. In comments to the Daily Mail, Lurie said the city is facing significant fiscal constraints and cannot fund the reparations proposal.

“Given these historic fiscal challenges, the city does not have resources to allocate to this fund,” Lurie told the outlet.

He added that San Francisco is expecting a $1 billion budget deficit in 2026.

Lurie characterized the ordinance as a recognition of prior efforts rather than a commitment to immediate payouts. In a statement to the Daily Mail, he said:

“For several years, communities across the city have been working with the government to acknowledge the decades of harm done to San Francisco’s black community.

While that process largely predates my administration, I am signing the legislation to create this fund in recognition of the work of so many San Franciscans and the unanimous support of the Board of Supervisors.”

Lurie also said the city would look beyond public funds to support the reparations effort.

“The city is open to outside donors,” he said, adding, “we stand ready to ensure that funding gets to those who are eligible for it.”

The lack of a funding mechanism has raised questions about how the reparations fund could ever be implemented, given the multi-billion-dollar estimates associated with the proposal. City officials have not outlined a timeline for securing outside donations or clarified how eligibility determinations would be made.

Opposition to the city’s approach has also come from within San Francisco’s Black community.

The local chapter of the NAACP has publicly criticized how the reparations initiative has been handled.

Reverend Amos Brown, president of the San Francisco NAACP chapter, said during public appearances in 2023 that the plan risked misleading residents.

Brown repeatedly warned that the reparations proposal gave Black residents “false hope,” arguing that the absence of funding and clear implementation details undermined the credibility of the effort.

As the ordinance now stands, San Francisco has formally created a reparations fund framework without dedicating financial resources to it, leaving the future of the initiative dependent on outside funding and further policy decisions.

Los Angeles Has Become Global Hub for Child Sex Trafficking: Steve Hilton

Steve Hilton spoke from Figueroa Street in Los Angeles late Friday night while describing what he said he witnessed while working alongside a nonprofit focused on rescuing girls from sex trafficking.

“So I’m here on Figueroa Street in Los Angeles. It’s around midnight on Friday night. We’ve been driving up and down 50 blocks. I’m with a nonprofit that rescues young girls who’ve been trafficked for sex,” Hilton said.

Hilton said the organization rescues American girls from across the country and described the ages of those involved.

“Every year, they rescue about 100 or so, sometimes 200 mostly between the ages of 12 and 14, from all across the country. These are American girls right here in Los Angeles, which has become the world capital for child sex trafficking,” Hilton said.

Hilton directly criticized Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Gov. Gavin Newsom, saying neither had taken action.

“What’s Karen Bass doing about it? Nothing, what is Gavin Newsom doing about it? Nothing,” Hilton said.

Hilton described what he said he observed as deeply disturbing and said it was taking place under current state and local leadership.

“This is one of the most shocking things I’ve ever seen, and it’s happening right here in California, in Los Angeles, under the rule of these people that never stop lecturing us about compassion and equity and gender equality,” Hilton said.

Hilton concluded by rejecting the situation and calling for it to end.

“It is totally unacceptable. I will not accept it. This has to stop,” Hilton said.

‘They Were Lighting Tax Dollars on Fire to Pay Off Their Friends’: Lee Zeldin

Lee Zeldin said the federal government must adopt a strict zero-tolerance policy toward waste and abuse, regardless of which party controls Washington.

Citing a canceled multibillion-dollar program, he argued that taxpayer money had been routed through layers of intermediaries who took large cuts before any funds reached their intended purpose.

Zeldin highlighted what investigators found inside the program.

He said, “Should have a zero tolerance policy, no matter who’s in charge of government any given time for any waste and abuse whatsoever. And get this we found in one program, solar for all, which is a $7 billion program that we have canceled and Congress has rescinded, that the money was going through at times four pass throughs.”

He said each intermediary took a sizable share of the funds.

Zeldin continued, “So $1 would go through four passers where each of them were taking at least 15 to 25% cut.”

He argued that this structure made the program inherently inefficient and unacceptable for any responsible government.

Zeldin said expectations for good governance should not depend on which administration is in power.

He stated, “So if Listen, we’re going to be honest and fair and good stewards of tax dollars. That zero tolerance policy should be the way, whether it’s President Trump in office or his predecessor.”

He then criticized the prior administration for failing to uphold those standards when it held unified control of Congress. Zeldin said, “Unfortunately, his predecessor wouldn’t had one party rule in Congress. They were lighting tax dollars on fire, left and right to pay off their friends.”

Zeldin said the cancellation of the program demonstrates a renewed focus on oversight and accountability, with the goal of preventing similar waste in future spending initiatives.

Washington Democrats Push Softer Penalties for Men Caught in Child Sex Stings

Washington’s Sentencing Guidelines Commission is facing scrutiny after voting to recommend lighter sentencing options for adults caught in online child sex sting operations, commonly referred to as “net nanny” cases.

These stings typically involve adults — “almost always men, though not always,” as Jason Rantz noted — who take active steps to meet individuals they believe are minors for sex.

Rantz addressed the issue in a recent segment, directly criticizing the commission’s decision and calling it a deliberate policy direction from Democratic officials.

Washington’s sentencing guidelines commission is voted to recommend lighter sentencing options for adults caught in sex sting operations, these net nanny cases or adults there are almost always men, though not always active steps to meet with people they think are children for sex. This is a policy choice by Democrats, and it’s one that could determine whether or not a pervert who already tried to meet a child for sex ends up facing any meaningful consequence whatsoever, because their logic is that net nanny sting offenders are apparently, quote, unquote, lower risk than someone who was a hands on abuser, and that this state should essentially look at these people and say, You know what, instead of putting you in jail, we should focus on treatment. Now this is this exact same board, the same commission that previously pushed treatment instead of jail for folks caught with child pornography.

The commission’s new proposal echoes its previous stance recommending treatment instead of incarceration for individuals caught with child pornography.

In both instances, members have argued that these offenders present a comparatively lower long-term risk than those engaged in physical, hands-on abuse.

The recommendation suggests an approach centered on rehabilitation rather than traditional imprisonment.

The proposal has drawn pushback from critics who argue that individuals who attempt to meet minors for sex have already demonstrated predatory intent and should face stricter penalties.

Opponents say the recommendations minimize the seriousness of attempted exploitation and could reduce deterrence in some of the state’s most sensitive criminal cases.

Supporters of the commission’s direction claim that sentencing alternatives can reduce recidivism and provide courts with more flexibility when handling cases involving online sting operations.

They contend that not all offenders caught in these operations present the same level of danger as those who have committed physical abuse, and that certain individuals may respond effectively to treatment programs.

The commission’s recommendations will next move into the broader discussion process among lawmakers, prosecutors, and criminal justice officials.

Any sentencing guideline changes would require approval before implementation.

Mamdani Confronted in the Oval Office Over Taxing White Neighborhoods Remarks

Conservative journalist Jack Posobiec questioned New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani on Tuesday about comments the incoming mayor made on the campaign trail regarding shifting property tax burdens within the city.

The exchange took place at the White House during a visit with President Donald Trump.

Posobiec referenced statements Mamdani made about moving portions of the property tax burden away from minority neighborhoods and toward what Mamdani had previously described as “white-based communities.”

Posobiec asked both the mayor-elect and the President about those remarks.

“Mr. President, I wanted to know, one of the policies as well that Mayor-elect Mamdani talked a number of times about on the campaign, was shifting the tax burden for property taxes from what he called minority communities to white-based communities, and putting more taxes on white people,” Posobiec said.

He also noted that Mamdani’s acceptance speech did not include references to “America, or Christians, or white people in general.”

Mamdani responded by highlighting his priorities related to affordability and housing.

“We focused on affordability, we focused on the cost of living crisis. What I will say is that, I am very much interested in property tax reform, because what we see right now in New York City is a system that is so inequitable that it can’t even stand up in court,” he said.

Mamdani added that he and the President discussed “the importance of not only building more housing, but also making sure the regulation of housing is something that is manageable to actually get through.”

Posobiec pressed further, asking, “To be clear, you’re continuing this idea of race-based property taxes.”

Mamdani denied that his proposal was based on race. Posobiec then said that it was “what” Mamdani had stated previously.

Mamdani clarified his past comments.

He said the “use of the term was a description of neighborhoods, not a description of intent.”

Posobiec responded by asking, “So, you intend to tax the whiter neighborhoods more.”

Mamdani said his administration intends “to create a fair property tax system,” adding that the goal is to support a city that is “fair and equitable,” and a city that residents across all neighborhoods can afford.

Breitbart News reported that campaign material from Mamdani included a proposal titled “Stop the Squeeze on NYC Homeowners.”

In that proposal, Mamdani wrote that his administration would “shift the tax burden from overtaxed homeowners in the outer boroughs to more expensive homes in richer and whiter neighborhoods.”

Bill Maher Hits Zohran Mamdani Voters with a Massive Reality Check

Bill Maher used his latest episode of “Real Time with Bill Maher” to deliver a blunt critique of the Democratic Party, arguing that its embrace of socialist-aligned lawmakers and policies mirrors the economic collapses seen in countries that adopted similar systems.

Maher pointed to international examples and said Democrats are ignoring repeated historical warnings.

During his monologue, Maher said, “Democrats must recognize that Zoran Mamdani is the future of the party. Unfortunately, it’s the Republican Party.”

He argued that the party’s left flank is pushing ideas that have failed wherever they were implemented.

To illustrate the gap between economic systems, Maher contrasted South Korea and North Korea, using a familiar visual from satellite images.

“We’ve run this experiment many times, and the results are always obvious. Here’s capitalist South Korea at night from space. Here’s socialist North Korea,” he said.

Maher then expanded the comparison by focusing on Venezuela and Poland, two countries he said followed opposite economic paths with starkly different outcomes.

“Yeah, in 1990 Venezuela was wealthier than Poland, but then Poland, finally, free of Soviet style, economics went all in on capitalism, and now their economy is as big as Japan, and people there have high wages, low inflation, cars, vacations, homes,” Maher said.

He contrasted that progress with Venezuela’s turn toward socialist rule.

“Meanwhile, Venezuela traded capitalism for Hugo Chavez’s socialism for the 21st Century, which turned out to be like socialism in the last century, or any century, a fucking mess,” he said.

Maher described how that shift drove the country from a leading regional economy to widespread hardship.

“It turned one of Latin America’s richest countries into one of its poorest, low wages, high inflation, shortages, outages, 8 million people fleeing,” he added.

Maher closed the segment by warning that adopting similar policies in the United States would lead to the same results.

He pointed to New York as a state flirting with the types of ideas that contributed to Venezuela’s collapse.

“If you think New York can somehow reinvent this wheel, you’re in for a rude awakening,” he said.

Jasmine Crockett Caught Blowing Donor Cash on Luxury Hotels, Limousines and More

A new campaign spending report filed with the Federal Election Commission shows that Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas spent tens of thousands of dollars on luxury travel and related services during the first part of 2025.

The filing details over $25,000 in expenses for high-end hotels, limousine transportation, and travel to locations outside her Dallas-based 30th Congressional District.

Crockett, who has become a prominent figure on the left for her public criticism of President Donald Trump and her frequent viral outbursts on social media, reported the expenditures as part of her campaign’s operating costs.

The spending covers trips to Martha’s Vineyard, Chicago, New York City, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

The FEC report lists several hotel charges made since January, including:

  • $4,175.01 at the Ritz-Carlton
  • $2,304.79 at the Luxury Collection
  • $5,326.52 at the West Hollywood Edition in Los Angeles
  • $1,173.92 at the Times Square Edition in New York City
  • More than $2,000 combined at the Cosmopolitan and Aria resorts in Las Vegas
  • $2,703.14 at the Edgartown Inn in Martha’s Vineyard
  • $3,160.93 at the Coco in Martha’s Vineyard

In addition to hotel costs, the campaign reported $50,000 in security expenses.

The filings also included limousine services used in multiple cities during Crockett’s travel.

Crockett has publicly suggested she is considering a run for the U.S. Senate following redistricting changes in Texas.

In comments made in October, she referenced the possibility of entering a Senate race if she believes she can broaden the Democratic electorate statewide.

“Because if you want to take my seat of 766,000 away, I feel like there has to be some karma in that to where I take your seat that is for 30 million away,” she said.

“So we are, you know, the primary is the primary. That’s cool, but you got to win the general. So we are doing some testing here shortly to see if I can expand the electorate.”

Crockett also drew recent attention when progressive radio host Stephanie Miller posted photos on social media appearing to kiss Crockett’s sneakers.

The images drew commentary online, with some users suggesting the photos reflected media enthusiasm toward preferred political figures on the left.

The campaign filing does not indicate that any of the listed travel occurred within Crockett’s district.

The FEC report shows that all listed expenses were paid using campaign funds.

The congresswoman has not issued further public comment related to the travel expenditures or the filing.

The report is one of several quarterly filings required by federal law and provides details on how congressional campaigns allocate their funds.

Further filings will be submitted later in the year as Crockett continues to weigh whether to pursue higher office.

Democrat “Furry Homosexual Socialist” Congressional Candidate Wants to Put MAGA Voters in “Hard Labor Camps”

A Democratic congressional candidate in Michigan has come under heavy scrutiny after a series of inflammatory posts on social media surfaced, including remarks celebrating the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and statements calling for violence against political opponents.

Samuel Smeltzer, 36, who is running as a Democrat in Michigan’s 7th Congressional District under the name Elyon Badger, has described himself as a “homosexual socialist” and an advocate for the “furry” subculture.

Smeltzer, who works as an IT contractor, has repeatedly made comments online that have drawn widespread condemnation from both parties.

Smeltzer’s remarks came shortly after Charlie Kirk’s death. Within an hour of news breaking, Smeltzer wrote on the social media platform Bluesky, “Good things can happen.”

Days later, he shared an image of Kirk, a husband and father of two, with the caption, “How can we defeat evil, if evil is mourned when it’s defeated?”

He later issued a campaign statement describing Kirk as “a white supremacist who preached stochastic terrorism,” blaming the shooting on “gun loving Conservative Christians.”

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) denounced Smeltzer’s statements as “dangerous and disgusting,” adding that such remarks reflect a deeper problem within the Democratic Party’s activist base.

The committee cited polling showing that only 38% of Democrats believe it is always unacceptable to feel joy at the death of a public figure they oppose.

Smeltzer has also made a series of other controversial statements in recent years.

In various online posts, he has written that “America deserved 9/11,” called Jesus “a communist,” labeled Israel “an enemy of the United States,” and urged the imprisonment of all U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

Jesus was a communist

— Elyon113 (@elyon113.bsky.social) November 4, 2025 at 4:57 AM

He has also posted messages encouraging the killing of billionaires and calling for political retribution against conservatives.

In one social media post, Smeltzer vowed to “round up EVERY SINGLE red hat wearing MAGA and put them in hard labor camps for the rest of their lives.”

I solemnly swear, when I get to office, we WILL round up EVER SINGLE red hat wearing MAGA and put them in hard labor camps for the rest of their lives. If the Republican party wants to kill free speech, then we WILL have our revenge.

Despite such remarks, his campaign website describes his platform as focused on “compassionate leadership for a just future.”

Speaking to the Washington Free Beacon, Smeltzer said his campaign is centered on “health care and tax-the-rich” policies and that he intends to represent the “furry” community in Congress.

“The furry community is the ultimate form of freedom in America, and that’s why conservatives hate it and the queer community so much,” he said.

In an interview with Between the Lines, an LGBT magazine, Smeltzer claimed he was “leaning into the furry side of things” because of what he described as targeting by conservative organizations.

“The reason I’m leaning into the furry side of things is the Heritage Foundation has targeted the furry community,” he said.

“They’re going after the queer spaces and organizations where we are allowed to express creative freedom.”

Smeltzer has also criticized his Democratic primary opponents, including former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, saying, “They can only trudge along and drag this broken cart through the mud; they can’t fix it.”

Brink reportedly did not respond to a request for comment from the Free Beacon.

NRCC spokesman Zach Bannon responded to Smeltzer’s campaign by saying, “Radical far-left lunatics like Samuel Smeltzer expose the liberal brain rot that is now the current state of the Democrat Party.”

The Michigan Democratic Party has not issued a public statement regarding Smeltzer’s comments.

Republican Rep. Tom Barrett, who currently represents Michigan’s 7th Congressional District and is running for reelection, has also not publicly responded.

Smeltzer’s rise has drawn comparisons to other left-wing candidates who have made controversial statements, including Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner, who faced backlash earlier this year for past social media posts describing himself as a communist and criticizing police and the military.

Both candidates have received attention for comments that have placed their campaigns under national scrutiny.

Smeltzer’s name is expected to appear on the Democratic primary ballot next year, where he faces a crowded field of candidates ahead of the 2026 congressional elections.
