‘It’s a Twelve Piece Bucket of Stupid’: Senator John Kennedy Cooks Congress

Sen. John Kennedy criticized the delay in beginning work on a second reconciliation bill and questioned why Congress had not acted sooner.

Kennedy said, “Why have we sat around for five months and not started on the second reconciliation bill? I don’t, I just don’t get it. I don’t get it.”

He described the inaction as “a 12 piece bucket of stupid not to do another reconciliation bill and to waste five months before we even start on a second reconciliation bill, assuming that we get started tomorrow.”

Kennedy added, “Humans are supposed to have evolved as a species. Why would we not do a second reconciliation bill?”

Kennedy pointed to rising costs facing American families as an example of issues the legislation could address.

“Think of what we could do,” he said.

“I mean, moms and dads all across America tonight are going to lie down to sleep and they won’t be able to what are they worried about, well, they’re worried about the cost of housing. For one thing, they’re worried about the cost of home insurance. They’re worried about the cost of flood insurance. They’re worried about the cost of health insurance. We all know that they’re worried about the cost of living.”

Kennedy emphasized that the concerns he listed were affecting households across the country and said they were among the reasons he believed the bill should move forward.

Republicans Positioned to Keep House Majority in 2026, Targets Democrats as ‘Socialists’ in New Ad

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) says the GOP is in a strong position to maintain control of the U.S. House of Representatives heading into the 2026 midterm elections, pointing to a favorable political climate and low approval ratings for Democrats.

The House GOP’s campaign arm released a new 60-second video this week, first obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation, signaling the party’s strategy to frame Democrats as radical and out of touch.

The ad accuses Democrats of embracing socialism, pushing for open borders, and supporting efforts to defund law enforcement.

“Unhinged Democrats want to destroy America,” the narrator says in the ad.

“In one year, we stop them.”

The NRCC argues that 2026 could break from historical patterns, as midterm elections typically favor the party not in power.

Party strategists say this cycle will differ because of what they describe as Democrats’ “historic unpopularity” and the improved political environment for Republicans compared to President Donald Trump’s first term.

Republicans currently hold a narrow majority in the House, but Democrats face an uphill battle in trying to retake control.

According to recent polling, voters only slightly prefer Democrats in a generic congressional ballot, and the party’s overall favorability remains near record lows.

A Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos survey released Sunday found Democrats leading Republicans by just two points among 2,725 respondents.

By comparison, Democrats led by 11 points at the same stage before the 2018 midterms — when they went on to flip 41 seats and regain the House majority.

As of this week, RealClearPolitics’ polling average shows Democrats with a 3.4-point advantage nationwide.

However, a Wall Street Journal survey found that 63 percent of Americans now hold an unfavorable view of the Democratic Party — one of the highest negative ratings recorded.

Only 33 percent of respondents said they view the party favorably.

The Washington Post survey also found that nearly seven in ten Americans believe Democrats are “out of touch,” a higher share than those who said the same about Republicans or President Trump.

That figure has remained unchanged since April.

Republicans also perform competitively when voters are asked which party is better equipped to handle the country’s most pressing issues.

A Gallup poll published in October found Democrats leading Republicans by just two points on that measure.

The NRCC’s ad rollout comes as the committee reports a significant fundraising advantage over its Democratic counterpart.

Between January and September, the NRCC raised $720,000 more than the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC). By comparison, Democrats led Republicans by roughly $9 million at the same point in 2017.

According to NRCC officials, this is the first time since 2015 that the committee has outraised Democrats during the first three quarters of an election cycle.

Republicans went on to win full control of Congress the following year.

“House Republicans are lapping Democrats at every turn,” NRCC spokesman Mike Marinella said in a statement.

“Voters across the country are fired up to build on this momentum and leave Democrats in the dust.”

The NRCC video also attempts to tie Democratic candidates across the country to Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee for New York City mayor and a self-described socialist.

Mamdani appears three times in the ad as part of an effort to frame him as symbolic of the Democratic Party’s leftward shift.

Last week, the NRCC distributed a memo asserting that Mamdani’s candidacy would damage vulnerable House Democrats in swing districts.

The memo described him as the “face of the Democratic Party,” a label Republicans plan to repeat throughout the campaign cycle.

Republicans are also expected to benefit from mid-decade redistricting efforts in several key states, including Texas, Missouri, North Carolina, and Ohio — all of which have seen GOP-led legislatures advance maps expected to favor Republican candidates.

Party officials say additional support from the Republican National Committee and President Trump’s political operation — both of which have amassed large fundraising reserves — could further strengthen their position heading into November 2026.

Jim Jordan Calls Jack Smith to Testify Before the House Judiciary Committee

Former special counsel Jack Smith has been called to testify before the House Judiciary Committee following allegations of prosecutorial misconduct and constitutional violations tied to his investigations of President Donald Trump.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan announced the summons in a formal letter, stating that Smith, who led two prosecutions against President Trump that were dismissed after the 2024 election, is “ultimately responsible for the prosecutorial misconduct and constitutional abuses” that occurred under his leadership.

“Among the disturbing tactics employed in that prosecution, your team sought to silence President Trump by restricting his public statements about the case, conducted an unnecessary and abusive raid of his residence, attempted to improperly pressure defense counsel with the promise of political patronage, and manipulated key evidence in the investigation,” Jordan wrote.

“These actions undermined the integrity of the criminal justice system and violated the core responsibility of federal prosecutors to do justice.”

Jordan’s letter calls on Smith to appear for a transcribed interview before the committee no later than October 28, 2025, to address concerns surrounding his conduct and decision-making.

The committee is also demanding that Smith provide all communications and records tied to his work as special counsel, as well as documents related to his appointment.

In the letter, Jordan said Smith’s testimony “is necessary to understand the full extent to which the Biden-Harris Justice Department weaponized federal law enforcement.”

He emphasized that the committee’s investigation seeks to determine how federal prosecutorial power may have been used to influence political outcomes.

Two senior members of Smith’s team, Jay Bratt and Thomas Windom, previously declined to answer questions from committee investigators, invoking both privileges and their Fifth Amendment rights, according to the correspondence.

Jordan’s letter describes their refusal as a significant obstacle to obtaining a full account of the decision-making processes within Smith’s office.

Jim Jordan Demands Testimony from JACK SMITH by Red Voice News

The committee’s concerns deepened after the release of FBI documents on October 7, which revealed that Smith’s team obtained phone records from eight Republican senators and Republican Rep. Bill Hagerty of Tennessee as part of an operation identified as the “Arctic Frost” investigation.

Additional records made public by Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley earlier in the year indicated that subpoenas were also issued to a number of conservative groups, including Turning Point USA and the Republican Attorneys General Association, in connection with the same probe.

During his interview with the committee, Windom reportedly declined to say “how many other members of Congress were investigated as part of the Arctic Frost investigation and Jack Smith investigation,” according to Jordan’s letter.

Beyond the congressional inquiry, Smith is also the subject of an ethics investigation being conducted by the Office of Special Counsel (OSC), a federal watchdog agency.

The investigation, confirmed in August by Republican Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas, is examining whether Smith violated the Hatch Act, which restricts certain political activities by federal employees.

The Judiciary Committee’s pursuit of testimony and documents from Smith comes amid broader House Republican efforts to examine what they describe as political bias and overreach within the Department of Justice during the previous administration.

If Smith complies with the request, his testimony would mark the first time he has publicly addressed the allegations of misconduct related to his special counsel investigations since the dismissal of the cases against President Trump following the 2024 election outcome.

AOC Fake Almost-Cries Over Illegal Aliens Getting Kicked Off Medicaid

Madonna set the mold for reinventing herself, and generations of women after her have picked up the technique. Show up at the office one day, and Caitlin has a whole new hair color and veneers. Come in the day after that, and Brianna’s wearing Osh Kosh overalls with her hair shaved off and wants you to call her Oliver.

But it’s not just the physical transformations, it’s the apparent personality changes. Women in politics and public life have made a technology out of wild mood and affect changes depending on what they want, and whether men are scrabbling fast enough to get it for them. One minute Senator Elizabeth Warren (Indian name: Shrieks-Alot) is screeching at some conservative man on the Senate floor:

The next minute, she’s pretend-crying in her car because the mean Republican men are trying to kill everyone. Again:

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has this game down pat. First, she reinvented herself as a Sophisticated Lady that everyone knows as “Alexandria,” despite the fact that she was plain old Sandy Cortez right up until she won public office. With leftist women, there’s never a shortage of things to yell and scream about. Or, in AOC’s case, to whimper and whine about. This is a woman for whom manipulation is as instinctive as breathing.  When she gets in front of a crowd she wants to charm, Cortez starts talking in a tiny little girl voice in an obvious effort to make herself appear harmless, small, and cute.

And like Elizabeth Warren, she tries (with limited success) to turn on the tears when a vote on a bill doesn’t go her way. With her usual histrionics, Cortez stood on the steps of the Capitol after Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” was passed and said, “I think this is one of the saddest moments in modern American history.” Here’s Cortez almost-crying about it:

She’s despondent that able-bodied people won’t be allowed to get taxpayer funded healthcare from those who actually work for a living. Oh, the humanity.

Here’s what X/Twitter users had to say in reaction:

Lib Rep From San Diego Not Ready for Pete Hegseth’s Slap-Down

You may have noticed over the past 10 years or so that women in public life aren’t acting very much like women. They’re acting like teenaged girls. Emotional, snotty, and petulant, especially toward men. More than 60 years of feminism, which became girlbossery over the past decade, has convinced sub-par women without much practical knowledge that they know better about everything. The economy, school policy, and military readiness.

Experience doesn’t matter to these women, what matters is “getting theirs back” against men who haven’t done anything to them. Feminism is about resentment and female supremacy, not the “equality” that advocates claim they want. For example, few feminists would quibble with the claim that women are better decision-makers when it comes to childcare and home management. They would see it as right and natural that women dominate the childcare field, and that women come up with policies on how children should be cared for.

But take a man’s domain of expertise, such as military tactics, and Feminist Francine is confident that she knows more than any of the men who’ve been on the battlefield. Take Congresswoman Sara Jacobs, Democrat representing the California district that includes San Diego. Like most leftist women, Jacobs is hellbent on arguing for the existence and inclusion of “transgender women” in everything. She thinks that men who call themselves women are women, or she pretends she believes that.

It’s a convenient belief to pretend to have when your goal is actually to try to score points against competent, masculine, conservative men like  Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. Liberal female politicians loathe him because he doesn’t cower under their school teacher scolding, and he won’t lie and pretend that transgenderism is anything other than a mental illness. Since President Donald Trump signed an executive order disqualifying “trans” people from service in the military, the left has been trying every trick they have to reverse it. Rep. Sara Jacobs believes she’s found the silver bullet: Just claim loudly that trannies are “women,” and then accuse Hegseth of harming women. Check out her self-promoting Tweet:

Jacobs is, of course, lying. Hegseth was not “stunned.” It was Jacobs who lied in Congress and acted like a fool. The congresswoman is sore that Hegseth made her look like a fool with his response. Here’s the exchange:

Let’s see who the public thought won this round.

This guy’s got Rep. Jacobs categorized correctly:

Dem Rep Ilhan Omar Lets It Slip About How She Feels About America

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is facing renewed criticism after denouncing the United States during a public appearance, where she likened current federal law enforcement actions to dictatorship and claimed the U.S. has become “one of the worst countries” in the world. Her comments were made amid President Donald Trump’s ongoing efforts to restore order in Los Angeles following two weeks of violent riots. During a recent appearance on a progressive talk show, Omar objected to the Trump administration’s deployment of California National Guard troops and U.S. Marines in response to riots in the city.

“I grew up in a dictatorship, and I don’t even remember ever witnessing anything like that,” she said. “To have a democracy — a beacon of hope for the world — to now be turned into one of the, you know, one of the worst countries where the military are in our streets without any regard for people’s constitutional rights, while our president is spending millions of dollars propping himself up like a failed dictator.”

Omar, who immigrated to the United States from Somalia in the 1990s and later became a U.S. citizen in 2000, has been vocal in her opposition to federal immigration enforcement and the administration’s efforts to remove violent agitators from American streets. She arrived in the country after fleeing Somalia’s civil war and initially received asylum before obtaining permanent residency.

Her latest remarks drew criticism online, especially in light of a deadly incident in her home state just days prior. Minnesota authorities had recently arrested a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a state lawmaker and her husband, as well as the critical wounding of another lawmaker and his wife. Despite the high-profile nature of the incident, Omar’s public focus remained on federal immigration enforcement and foreign policy, particularly her criticism of the Trump administration’s stance on Iran and Israel.

“It is shocking and it should be a wake-up call to all Americans to say this is not the country we were born in,” Omar added in her interview.

Her comments triggered backlash on social media, with some users calling for her removal from office and others questioning her continued residency in the U.S.

“I’ll pay for her one way ticket home to Somalia,” one user posted on X.

“And yet she’s still here,” another added, including a clown emoji.

“Deport her, problem solved,” a third user wrote.

In March, Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) launched a petition calling on the Trump administration to deport Omar, citing concerns about her past immigration filings. The Department of Justice earlier this year reopened an investigation into long-standing allegations that Omar married her biological brother to assist him in avoiding deportation. The marriage, which ended in divorce, has been the subject of scrutiny for years. A source within the Minnesota Somali community previously claimed that Omar sought out a Christian pastor to officiate the ceremony due to concerns over the relationship’s nature.

While no official charges have been filed in connection to the marriage allegations, DOJ officials confirmed the matter remains under investigation. Rep. Omar’s office has not responded to inquiries regarding her recent comments or the ongoing investigation. The congresswoman has remained active on social media, where she has continued to criticize President Trump’s policies on immigration and foreign affairs.

Congress, Culture War

Hegseth Shuts Down Furious Dem Sen. in Congress: “Your Time’s Up, Senator”

Have you noticed something over, say, the past 10 years about how women in public talk to men in public? It started much farther in the past than 10 years ago, sure, but it’s really ramped up. In the public, political, and professional spheres, women have been taking the most extraordinary liberties when addressing male colleagues. To put it in plain language, they’ve been given cultural permission to be harpies and shrews. They mock men, they condescend to them, they talk to them the way an angry spinster school teacher would dress down a juvenile delinquent.

The same thing goes on in the august halls of Congress. Female representatives and senators regularly try to bully male members of the Trump administration. But since Trump put actual men in his cabinet, the ladies have been having a hard time running their usual social con game. Masculine, competent men like Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth especially irritate them.

Take a look at Senator Jacky Rosen, Democrat of Chicago, losing her composure when Hegseth reminded her that her question time was over.

Rosen accuses Hegseth of being incompetent and “feckless.” At the end of her diatribe, Hegseth says calmly, “Time’s up, Senator.”

Rosen’s “how very dare you” reaction is a delight to watch. Here’s what the public had to say on X/Twitter:

Congress

Indian-born Congressman in a Wig Can’t Name Cities in His District

The “anything goes” and “you do you” attitude that’s prevailed for the last 15 or so years has brought us all sorts of public behavior that no one wanted. The Human Resources dictum to “bring your whole self to work” has given permission for staff to bring their marital and emotional problems to the office so what used to be private business is now everyone’s concern.

Have you noticed how there are also no grooming standards anywhere anymore? If you’re in your late 40s or 50s, you remember a time not long ago when you were expected to comb your hair, tuck in your shirt, and-gasp!-even wear a clean uniform. That’s been replaced by hairy guts hanging out below food-stained T-shirts (men) and literal prostitute-wear (women). People’s faces are full of metal like nose rings and painful lip piercings, and even middle class women are covered with the kinds of tattoos formerly seen only on bikers, prisoners, and psychopaths.

This strange behavior goes on in the elite classes, too. Consider Shri Thanedar, an immigrant from India who represents Michigan’s 13th district in the House of Representatives. There’s no “nice” way around this: the man looks like a creation from Jim Henson’s Muppet Studios. It’s obvious from his photographs over the years that he’s been heavily reliant on makeup and hairpieces.

When you look at his Congressional portrait, you imagine that Thanedar walked into a Baltimore wig emporium and said, “I’ll take the Carol Brady in brunette.”

Then there’s the obviously drawn-on (tattooed?) eyebrows. Recently, they’ve taken on the in-vogue square shape, the kind that looks like they were drawn on with a Sharpie.

Of course, we’re not supposed to comment on how people look, even when they choose their look specifically to get attention, as Thanedar appears to have done. So let’s examine his political actions. Thanedar has a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, and recently put up a video announcing his articles of impeachment against President Trump. Take a look and a listen to this weird dude.

His odd priorities are not a one-off. Recently a citizen reporter interviewed Thanedar and asked him to specifically name prominent cities in the Congressional district he represents. Thanedar couldn’t do it, begging off by saying “I’m not here to answer a quiz.” Take a look.

X/Twitter users did not find Thanedar impressive.

Plenty of people made reference to allegations that Thanedar was involved in mistreatment of animals.

And yeah, they went for his look, too.

RINO Senator Whines About DOGE’s Cost-Cutting: “It’s Traumatizing People”

RINO Senator Whines About DOGE's Cost-Cutting: 'It's Traumatizing People'

Anti-Trump GOP Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) addressed a potential primary challenge funded by DOGE leader Elon Musk during a Juneau, Alaska, conference on Tuesday. Murkowski responded to the potential primary threat in a defiant tone, saying, “It may be that Elon Musk has decided he’s going to take the next billion dollars that he makes off of Starlink and put it directly against Lisa Murkowski.”

She continued:

“And you know what? That may happen. But I’m not giving up one minute, one opportunity, to try to stand up for Alaskans.”

Murkowski also remarked on her GOP colleagues’ reticence to voice opposition to President Donald Trump, asserting that their silence reflects their fears of facing primary challenges.

“They’re looking at how many things are being thrown at me, and it’s like, ‘Maybe I just better duck and cover,’” she remarked.

Murkowski also voiced disapproval of recent DOGE cost-cutting measures, claiming they were a source of undue “anxiety.”

Watch:

She went on to criticize the termination of federal employees in Alaska, claiming they are “traumatizing people” and “leaving holes in our communities.”

Since her write-in defeat of Republican Joe Miller in 2010, Murkowski has faced little political opposition. Alaska’s ranked-choice voting system gave her an additional edge in the state, allowing her to draw support from political moderates and Democrats. However, she acknowledged that Musk’s influence with his super PAC—Ame, America PAC—could have a devastating impact on future primaries aimed at unseating Anti-MAGA Republicans.

Last year, Musk warned Senate RINOs that going against Trump’s agenda and the will of the people will result in them losing “either their Primary or the mid-term election.”

16 Senate Democrats Vote Against Fentanyl Crackdown—Here Are Their Names

16 Senate Democrats Vote Against Fentanyl Crackdown—Here Are Their Names

The United States Senate has overwhelmingly passed the HALT Fentanyl Act (S.331), which designates fentanyl-related substances as Schedule I drugs under the Controlled Substances Act.

The legislation, sponsored by Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA), was backed by 84 senators.

However, 16 Democrats inexplicably voted against the measure.

Their reason? Either blind partisanship or a preference for soft-on-crime policies—I’m leaning toward the latter.

Here is the full list of Democrats who opposed the final passage of the Halt Fentanyl Act:

  • Angela Alsobrooks (D-MD)
  • Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-DE)
  • Cory Booker (D-NJ)
  • Tammy Duckworth (D-IL)
  • Mazie Hirono (D-HI)
  • Ed Markey (D-MA)
  • Jeff Merkley (D-OR)
  • Chris Murphy (D-CT)
  • Alex Padilla (D-CA)
  • Bernie Sanders (D-VT)
  • Adam Schiff (D-CA)
  • Chris Van Hollen (D-MD)
  • Raphael Warnock (D-GA)
  • Elizabeth Warren (D-MA)
  • Peter Welch (D-VT)
  • Ron Wyden (D-OR)

The legislation now heads to the House of Representatives, where it is expected to pass with bipartisan support.

The National Pulse reports:

Sen. Cassidy’s legislation—now on its way to the House of Representatives, where it is expected to also pass with bipartisan support—upgrades punishments for so-called “fentanyl-related substances” and aligns them with the penalties applied to fentanyl analogues.

Notably, offenses involving 100 grams or more of fentanyl analogues carry a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison. The federal mandatory minimum sentence is likely the reason why most of the 16 Democrats opposed the bill—though the influence of Chinese agents cannot be discounted.

Chinese chemical and pharmaceutical companies illicitly export hundreds of kilograms of fentanyl precursor chemicals to the United States every month.

In February, several executives with Wuhan-based Hubei Aoks Bio-Tech Co. Ltd were indicted by U.S. federal prosecutors for illegally importing fentanyl precursors into the United States. In October of last year, eight Chinese companies and their employees were indicted for similar crimes in Florida.
