Mexico Caves, Orders 10,000 Troops to Border; Trump Tariff On Hold
President Donald Trump has a knack for making deals.
In another impressive show of diplomatic power, Donald Trump announced on Monday that his 25% tariff on Mexico worked exactly as it was intended.
After a call with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, Mexico will deploy 10,000 troops to the U.S.-Mexico border to combat fentanyl trafficking and illegal immigration.
The 30 day respite from the tariff will allow for high-level negotiations between the two countries on a more robust border plan, with discussions headed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Trump is moving so fast with his repeated wins that Democrats can’t even keep up.
Senator Chuck Schumer tried desperately to put a negative spin on the Trump Tariffs over the weekend, arguing that they’ll ruin Super Bowl Sunday by raising the prices of beer and guacamole.
