Joe Biden Refers To Defense Secretary As “The Black Man” In TV Interview

In yet another remarkable screw up, President Joe Biden referred to U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin as “the black man.”

Biden was being interviewed on Black Entertainment Television (BET) as part of a segment called Black America Votes when he made the comments.

Attempting to secure a demographic which has slowly shifted towards Republican challenger Donald Trump, Biden highlighted the number of Black appointees within his administration.

“It’s all about treating people with dignity,” he said. “For example, look at the heat I’m getting because I named a, uh, the secretary of defense, the Black man.”

He then appeared to confuse Secretary Austin with Supreme Court appointee Ketanji Brown Jackson. Incredibly, this was a gaffe within a gaffe, as he only referred to the first Black justice of the Supreme Court as “Ketanji Brown”.

The interview aired just hours after Biden’s COVID-19 diagnosis – something which even his staunchest allies will hope brings a period of error-free quiet.

Many saw Biden’s remarks as downright racist.

It’s quite astonishing that Biden is continuing to fight on at this point. Appearing on a Black television network, and then referring one’s Secretary of Defense as “the Black man”, appears incompetent if not insulting. For moderate Whites it’s perhaps equally off-putting. Biden has come under criticism for DEI appointees – something he seemingly tried to deny in the BET interview – but this incident, notwithstanding repeated concerns over his age, is unlikely to win over any voters.

Somehow, Biden remains in the race, and at this point it’s hard to know what the coup de grace to his campaign will be. However, referring to “the Black man” on a Black TV network, and then confusing him with another Black appointee who he couldn’t fully name, could perhaps be the beginning of the end.

Conservatives Score Another Victory as John Deere Announces Changes To DEI Policies

Tractor manufacturer John Deere has announced it will halt its sponsorship of Pride events while scrapping a portion of its so-called diversity, equity and inclusive policies following backlash from conservatives.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, July 16, John Deere announced that it would commit to a number of pledges “based on ongoing conversations.”

“We will no longer participate in or support external social or cultural awareness parades, festivals, or events,” announced the company on social media.

In addition, the company pledged to focus Business Resource Groups on “professional development, networking, mentoring and supporting talent recruitment efforts”, while training materials will be audited to ensure they are devoid of “socially motivated messages”. Finally, John Deere reaffirmed “within the business that the existence of diversity quotas and pronoun identification have never been and are not company policy”.

The statement came amid a conservative campaign led by Robby Starbuck, whose recent exposé on the DEI policies of Tractor Supply forced the company into removing its diversity agenda.

Starbuck claimed the John Deere announcement as a “huge win in our war on wokeness” but expressed doubt over the statement’s “fundamental” belief that “a diverse workforce enables us to best meet our customers’ needs”.

Responding directly to John Deere’s announcement, Starbuck and many others questioned whether the change in policy could have gone further.

Other users demanded the company maintains its U.S.-based manufacturing plants over relocation to Mexico.

What’s your view? Does John Deere’s DEI revocation go far enough? Let us know in the comments.

Men Are Paying Off Their College Loans Way Faster Than Woman – And It’s All Due to Their Choice of Major

A graph pertaining the show the differences in student debt levels between men and women has caused widespread debate on social media.

The graph, shared by X user @eyeslasho, shows how men are paying off their student loans, while women went over a decade without seeing their outstanding loans decline.

Of debt taken out in 2009-2010, for women, the percent of their original loan they still owed outstanding peaked at 110%, only going below their starting loan balance in the post-pandemic era, after interest payments were frozen for years.

Debt levels increased at first for men too, which you’d expect considering few college students are prioritizing paying off student loans, but the level for men continued to decline after 2012 while remaining stagnant for women.

It was only in 2023 when women, on average, who graduated in 2009 saw the percentage of their loan amount remaining fall below 100%. By contrast, men crossed this threshold in 2014 and have now paid off around 30% of their original loan.

The simplest explanation for this is college major, and nothing else. The highest paying majors are dominated by men, while the lowest paying are dominated by women.

Some courses, such as Agriculture and Natural Resources, Social Sciences, Parks/Recreation/Fitness Studies and Business, saw a near 50-50 split.

On the contrary, Family and Consumer Sciences, Health Professions and Related Programs, and Public Administration and Social Services saw a large majority of female participants, while engineering programs were dominated by male uptake.

The graph left many others sharing their own theories as to the reasoning behind the discrepancies.

Why do you think that postgraduates, particularly females, are struggling to pay off student debt? Let us know in the comments below.

Joe Biden Denounced J.D. Vance Faster Than He Denounced the Trump Assassination Attempt

The attempted assassination of former president Donald Trump sent shockwaves across the American political system.

In a rare show of unity in an ever-divided United States, Republicans and Democrats rallied round the GOP presidential nominee; condolences were offered to the victims, condemnation towards the shooter.

By some miracle, Trump survived the attempt on his life, and has since returned to the political atmosphere by attending the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, WI, to confirm his position as the GOP’s presidential candidate for November’s election.

After months – if not years – of speculation, Trump finally named his running mate – Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance. If elected, Vance will become the country’s youngest Vice President since Richard Nixon served under Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1953.

Naturally, Trump’s pick drew the ire of President Joe Biden. Within 23 minutes of the announcement, Biden had already attacked Vance having already created a graphic criticizing the newly announced GOP ticket.

On the contrary, it took Biden one hour and 43 minutes to post about the assassination attempt on Trump.

For sure, Biden may have strongly condemned Thomas Matthew Crooks’ actions on Saturday, July 13, but the rapidness at which he sought to attack Trump’s new appointment perhaps speaks volumes.

There is some uncertainty over whether Biden will even be Trump’s opponent at all in November. His evident decline in his physical and mental ability to run the country has raised doubts among some of his strongest Democratic allies, while the President himself has admitted he is only sharpest during certain times of the day.

Jack Black Cancels Tenacious D Tour After Bandmate’s Donald Trump Comments

Actor and musician Jack Black has been forced to cancel the remainder of his Tenacious D tour after he was “blindsided” by his bandmate’s comments.

Tenacious D, which features Black and Kyle Gass, were touring Australia when former president Donald Trump miraculously survived an assassination attempt.

During a performance in Sydney just one day after the shooting, Gass was presented with a birthday cake during their set. After blowing out the candles and being told to make a wish, Gass said, “don’t miss Trump next time” in reference to the assassination attempt.

The staunchly pro-Joe Biden Black originally thanked Gass for his comments as members of the audience laughed and applauded.

However, following large scale backlash – including a deportation demand by an Australian Senator Ralph Babet – Black later addressed the remarks via Instagram.

“I was blindsided by what was said at the show on Sunday. I would never condone hate speech or encourage political violence in any form,” Black wrote on the social media platform. “After much reflection, I no longer feel it is appropriate to continue the Tenacious D tour, and all future creative plans are on hold.”

Gass subsequently apologized for his comments, expressing that the “improvised” line was “highly inappropriate, dangerous, and a terrible mistake”.

Social media commenters on X were skeptical of Black’s condoning of Gass’ remarks given his initial onstage reaction.

Other users noted the seemingly ironic instance of a left-wing Hollywood star being canceled.

White Men’s Access To Guns Blamed For Donald Trump Assassination Attempt by The View

Donald Trump miraculously survived an assassination attempt on his life on Saturday.

The former president was targeted by Thomas Matthew Crooks – a 20-year-old who had previously donated $15 to progressive causes. His motive remains officially “unclear” (though it’s pretty obvious) and little about his background is known.

Nevertheless, it’s pertinent that he had a long interest in rifles having had a membership at a local shooting club as well as allegedly failing to make his high school rifle team due to poor aim.

So, who did The View choose to blame for this attack with no known motive?

White men, of course!

Specifically, co-hosts Ana Navarro and Joy Behar pointed the accessibility to guns for white men.

“[The assassin] was a 20-year-old, lone wolf, White, whack job with easy access to a gun,” said Navarro. “It wasn’t a drag queen, it wasn’t an immigrant, it wasn’t a pissed off liberal woman – and this keeps happening.”

Behar was equally critical, questioning why a “20-year-old White guy” was not reported for purchasing 50 rounds of ammunition prior to the shooting. This is especially bizarre once you consider that among the male demographic, white men are the second *least* likely to commit gun homicides (after Asians,) with Black men committing such offenses at 20 times the rate of white men in some years.

Neither Navarro nor Behar referenced the hostile political climate which contributed to the first assassination attempt on a U.S. President in 43 years. Arguably, both politicians and the mainstream media have contributed to such a divisive atmosphere, which many were keen to point out on social media platform X.

Others questioned why The View had been permitted to air in the wake of the weekend’s events when Morning Joe had been pulled by MSNBC.

Republican Congressman Blames DEI For Failures Which Led To Donald Trump Assassination Attempt

Republican House Rep. Tim Burchett criticized the head of the Secret Service in the aftermath of the attempted assassination on Donald Trump.

Rep. Burchett of Knoxville, Tennessee, labeled Kimberly Cheatle a “diversity hire” amid heavy criticism of the agency’s handling of security at Trump’s now infamous rally in Butler, PA, on Saturday, July 13. Critics have questioned how shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks was able to access an open rooftop around 400-500 feet away from the former president’s stage, as well as the response to eyewitness concerns before the shooting began.

Furthermore, footage of a female Secret Service agent failing to holster her gun alongside her inability to shield the 6’ 3” Trump has brought increased scrutiny upon the Secret Service.

The agency has an objective to increase the number of female staff to 30% by 2030, while director Cheatle – formerly senior director of global security at PepsiCo – has previously called for more “diverse candidates” to join the agency.

Speaking to Fox News, Rep. Burchett blamed DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) initiatives for the failings at the Trump rally.

“Somebody really dropped the ball. You’ve got a DEI person, a DEI initiative person who heads up our Secret Service,” said Burchett. “You know she was working at Pepsi before this. I know she was a former CIA Secret Service agent, but still, this is what happens when you don’t put the best players in.”

Many on social media were in agreement with Burchett’s remarks about the dangers of DEI hiring.

Others speculated as to whether Cheatle would remain in post should Trump win the presidential election in November.

Black Lives Matter Chapter Slammed For Distasteful Posts In Wake Of Donald Trump Assassination Attempt

The Black Lives Matter chapter of Hartford, CT, has been slammed after a flurry of distasteful posts following the attempted assassination of former president Donald Trump.

For millions across the country, the shooting in Butler, PA, saw political divisions withdrawn as Republicans and Democrats rallied around the injured Trump. Miraculously, Trump survived relatively unscathed, while one attendee was tragically killed during the heinous attack, and others were wounded.

Meanwhile, the Black Lives Matter movement was as vicious as ever, deciding to publicly support violence, which is on brand for them.

Posting on their X account, the Hartford BLM chapter account posted shocking messages within minutes of the attempt on the former president’s life, with its initial reaction being an offer to pay the (now-deceased) shooter’s bond.

Hours later, the BLM account described the attack as a “flesh wound on a coke head,” adding that it was “extremely underwhelming” that the GOP nominee had survived.

The BLM chapter also suggested that Thomas Matthew Crooks, the would-be assassination who was slain by a counter sniper from Secret Service, had bought the rifle from Temu – a Chinese-owned site with a reputation from low-quality products.

On Sunday, July 14, the account continued to spout bile with a picture of a key chain featuring former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe and John F. Kennedy – both victims of assassination attempts – as well as Trump.

Since the weekend’s events, the account has continued to share conspiracy theories over the assassination while repeatedly criticizing Trump for allegedly playing golf – a claim which has been proven false.

When shared to a wider audience by @libsoftitkok, many condemned the account and the actions of BLM.

Others declared BLM to be a terrorist organization.

Democrat Congressman Who Sought To Remove Donald Trump’s Secret Service Detail Slammed For Assassination Response

Democrat Congressman Bennie Thompson, who proposed removing Donald Trump’s Secret Service protection, has come under heavy criticism in the wake of the assassination attempt on the former president.

Trump was hit by sniper fire at a rally in Butler, PA, on Saturday, July 13. Miraculously, the Republican presumptive nominee survived the shooting after the bullet pierced his right ear. The shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, was killed by the Secret Service Counter Assault Team within seconds of his first shots.

Questions have been asked of the Secret Service after Crooks was able to access a rooftop around 450 feet away from the stage where Trump was speaking. Eyewitness reports also suggest that the shooter’s presence on the rooftop was known before Crooks fired his first shot, and police had up to two minutes to react before shots rang out.

An outpouring of support for former president Trump followed with Republicans and Democrats condemning the assassination attempt.

However, when Rep. Bennie Thompson offered his thoughts, social media users were quick to point out that he had previously introduced legislation to remove Trump’s Secret Service detail.

The Mississippi congressman and member of the House Committee on Homeland Security previously introduced a bill which would strip convicted felons who had been sentenced to prison of Secret Service protection. Introduced in April 2024, the bill was introduced as Trump’s hush money trial commenced. While not specified by name, the bill clearly was created for the sole purpose of targeting Trump and putting him in danger.

Not only did Rep. Thompson receive backlash for his previous lawmaking efforts, but he was also forced to fire his field director Jacqueline Marsaw who reportedly posted “don’t miss next time” on Facebook in response to the shooting.

And his boss probably shares those sentiments.

Gay-braham Lincoln? New Documentary Claims Former President Was Homosexual

The Netflixification of reality continues.

A new documentary set to be released later this year claims Abraham Lincoln was a gay man who had “steamy gay sex sessions” with male partners.

Lover of Men, which has a scheduled release date of Friday, September 6, claims to “examine the intimate life of America’s most consequential president” by lying about him.

A two-minute trailer details the background to the film with interviewees from different sides of the political spectrum praising the Civil War president.

Later, it discusses Lincoln’s relationship with Joshua Speed – a lifelong close friend whom the then-president repeatedly offered roles to during his four-year tenure. In addition, the trailer highlights Lincoln’s relationship with Captain David Derickson of the 150th Pennsylvania Infantry, with the two allegedly sharing a bed during the Civil War.

Concluding, the trailer notes Lincoln’s “insistence on equality” and explores hypothetical opinions on the rights of gay people in the 21st century.

According to the film’s synopsis, “Lover of Men widens its lens into the history of human sexual fluidity and focuses on the profound differences between sexual mores of the nineteenth century and those we hold today. The film fills in an important missing piece of American history and challenges the audience to consider why we hold such a limited view of human sexuality.”

When the film’s trailer was shared on social media, many questioned why the documentary makers sought to make “everything gay”.

Others took a more lighthearted view of the documentary.

It’s not the first time that Lincoln’s sexuality has made the limelight, following the release of a novel in 2015 by gay activist Larry Kramer.
