DNC Doubles Down on Failure, Releases “Deeply Embarrassing and Useless Document”

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has named Ken Martin as its new chair, signaling a continued shift toward progressive leadership following the party’s defeat in the 2024 elections.

Martin, a political leader from Minnesota, previously served as vice chair of the unsuccessful Harris-Walz presidential campaign.

Martin’s appointment on February 1 comes as the Democratic Party looks to rebuild after suffering major losses in November. However, despite the electoral setback, Martin expressed confidence in the party’s direction.

“Notably, Martin said during his campaign for chair that the party already has ‘the right message,’” Politico reported.

Shortly after taking office, Martin unveiled his first major strategic directive, outlining how Democrats intend to challenge President Donald Trump’s economic agenda.

“Today, I released a framework detailing how the Democratic Party will fight against Trump’s war on working people,” Martin announced in a post on X on Wednesday.

The DNC memo, titled “Democrats Will Fight Against Trump’s War on Working People,” lays out a plan to regain political ground by promoting unionization efforts and criticizing the Trump administration’s policies.

According to Powerline’s John Hinderaker, the strategy appears outdated.

“The memo reads like a time capsule from the 1930s. It is all about unions and alleged union-busting by the Trump administration. This might appeal to the Democrats’ core constituency, overpaid government workers. But currently, fewer than 6% of private sector employees in the U.S. are unionized, an all-time low,” Hinderaker noted.

Martin’s memo also warns against Project 2025, a policy framework drafted by conservative groups outlining priorities for a second Trump term. The DNC memo frames the initiative as a threat to working-class Americans.

“To implement his dark Project 2025 vision and deliver handouts for the ultra-wealthy, Donald Trump is assembling the wealthiest U.S. Cabinet in American history, stacked with out-of-touch, special interest billionaires who are looking out for themselves and their balance sheets over working families,” Martin stated.

Democrats are expected to continue attacking Trump’s economic policies, attempting to frame his administration as favoring the wealthy while ignoring working Americans.

As part of the effort to reconnect with blue-collar voters, Martin launched the campaign alongside United Steelworkers International Vice President at Large Roxanne Brown.

The event took place in Pennsylvania, a key battleground state that has been heavily impacted by shifts in energy policy.

https://twitter.com/kenmartin73/status/1891965794319278236

The Biden-Harris administration’s stance on fossil fuels has been widely criticized for hurting industries in states like Pennsylvania.

Despite this, Democrats are now positioning themselves as champions of workers in regions where their own policies have led to economic challenges. The DNC’s strategy suggests that the party will lean heavily on union support and economic populism to regain ground ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

However, with many working-class voters shifting toward Trump in 2024, it remains to be seen whether these efforts will resonate with a base that has increasingly rejected Democratic leadership in recent election cycles.

Joe Biden’s $5 Billion “Aid” Mystery: “The Government Has Been Robbing Us Blind”

Fox News host Jesse Watters took aim at the Biden administration during a recent segment of Fox News Primetime, calling out what he described as massive waste and corruption in the handling of taxpayer funds.

Watters detailed millions of dollars being spent on questionable foreign projects, arguing that the government is misallocating resources while ignoring problems at home.

“The government’s been robbing us blind,” Watters stated.

“We’ve been writing checks—6 million for tourism in Egypt. Like Egypt needs help with that. They have the pyramids. We should be spending money on cleaning up California so that tourists can vacation in California.”

He continued to list expenditures he deemed unnecessary, including $2 million for the BBC to promote diversity coverage in Libya, $20 million for Iraqi Sesame Street, and $1 million for an LGBTQ group in Armenia.

“We’re bribing the BBC to cover Libya better,” Watters said.

“Why a million for a gay group in Armenia? There it is. We paid 20 million for Iraqi Sesame Street. You paid for Bert and Ernie in Baghdad. Weren’t we just bombing these people? Now we’re paying for their Muppet shows. We’re sick. There is something sick with us. You also paid for an Irish DEI musical.”

Watters did not hold back in his criticism of USAID, the agency responsible for administering foreign aid.

He pointed to $2 million spent on transgender surgeries in Guatemala, questioning where the money actually went.

“This is a government theft ring,” Watters said.

“We spent $2 million for trans surgeries in Guatemala. I’m going to go out on a limb—one Guatemalan dude got breast implants, and we probably kicked back the rest of the cash to a crooked Guatemalan politician and the corrupt liberal CEO of the group they laundered the money through.”

Watters went further, arguing that such extravagant spending could have “turned the whole world trans” and questioning the true cost of projects like the $20 million allocated for Iraqi Sesame Street.

“You really think it costs 20 million to produce an episode of Sesame Street? You could hire Tom Cruise to play Oscar the Grouch for that money,” he quipped.

In addition to these projects, Watters accusedJoe Biden of sending $5 billion to unnamed foreign sources, suggesting the funds were being used for political bribes and left-wing subsidies.

“Check this—Biden paid nearly $5 billion to unnamed foreign sources,” Watters said.

“Whoever is getting our money is so shady our government can’t even put it in writing. They just call it aid.”

He speculated that much of this money was used to bribe foreign officials, secure business deals for American companies, or funnel resources into left-wing foundations.

“Most of the people getting money from these grants aren’t in the country. They pump it into overseas organizations and then we never see them,” he said. “Any liberal with an International Women’s Studies degree can launch a 501(c)(3), apply for a government grant, and spin it off into a left-wing piggy bank.”

Watters also took aim at USAID’s $235 million allocation to the National Democratic Institute (NDI), suggesting that much of the money was used for executive salaries rather than democracy programs.

“USAID paid $235 million to the National Democratic Institute. Well, that sounds benign. No. Millions of that money went to executive compensation—meaning salaries for all the Liberals with no skills,” Watters explained.

“I bet most of that money didn’t go to supporting democracy. It went to supporting liberal lifestyles.”

He accused Democrats of profiting off taxpayer dollars, claiming that the USAID system has been a financial pipeline for left-wing operatives for years.

“Democrats have been sucking off the teat of government for decades, and Trump caught them,” Watters said.

“As one Trump insider says, you bring USAID to heel and you end the Democrat gravy train.”

Watters suggested that USAID was just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to government waste, arguing that deeper investigations would uncover massive misallocation of funds across multiple agencies.

“USAID is just the beginning. You start peeling back at the layers of every agency, and all you find out is pork that winds up in the wrong people’s pockets,” he said.

Stacey Abrams-Linked “Voting Rights” Group in Chaos After Massive Ethics Violation Fine

Fair Fight Action, the voting rights organization founded by Stacey Abrams, is facing major financial difficulties following a record-breaking fine imposed by the Georgia State Ethics Commission.

The financial strain has led to mass layoffs and internal restructuring as the group struggles to sustain its operations.

The crisis has also impacted the New Georgia Project (NGP), a grassroots organization launched by Abrams. More than 30 employees were laid off in two rounds between December and January, many with little notice.

According to a GoFundMe campaign launched Wednesday, the organization cited economic challenges and reduced fundraising as key reasons for the downsizing.

The layoffs began on December 27, when 19 staff members were dismissed with less than 12 hours’ notice. Another 12 employees were let go at the end of January, according to FOX5.

Stephanie Ali, NGP’s policy director, set up a crowdfunding campaign to assist those affected, attributing the situation to external financial pressures.

“The organization has stated these reductions in force (RIFs) are due to economic downturns, reductions in fundraising in an ‘off’ election year, and other contributing factors,” Ali wrote.

“No matter the reason, with this, over 30 of some of the most dedicated organizers, door knockers, and field tacticians who dedicated years of their lives to this work are now out of work – some whose insurance will lapse as soon as February 1.”

The financial turmoil follows a ruling from the Georgia State Ethics Commission, which imposed its largest-ever fine on NGP and its affiliated New Georgia Project Action Fund.

The groups admitted to 16 violations of state law, including improperly supporting Abrams’ 2018 gubernatorial campaign and failing to disclose millions in campaign contributions and expenditures.

NGP leadership stated that the layoffs were necessary to align staffing with available resources but maintained that the organization remains committed to voter registration and outreach efforts.

In 2024, NGP reported registering more than 55,000 Georgians, knocking on over 841,000 doors, and deploying more than 200 poll monitors.

“The volunteers, members, and staff of NGP are family, and reductions in staffing are never easy.

Nevertheless, NGP must meet its obligation to align its staffing plan with available resources to accomplish its mission,” the organization said in a statement to FOX5.

NGP, which Abrams founded in 2013, has faced increasing scrutiny over its financial and legal practices.

In January, the Georgia Ethics Commission fined NGP and the New Georgia Project Action Fund $300,000 for violations of state campaign finance laws related to the 2018 elections.

According to The Associated Press, the groups failed to register as independent campaign committees and did not properly report approximately $4.2 million in contributions and $3.2 million in expenditures.

These funds primarily supported Abrams’ gubernatorial campaign, marking one of the largest campaign finance penalties in Georgia history.

Investigators found that NGP engaged in electioneering activities such as canvassing and phone banking in support of Abrams without proper registration and transparency.

Additionally, in 2019, NGP failed to disclose $646,000 in contributions and $174,000 in expenditures related to a public transit referendum in Gwinnett County. Both Abrams and U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA), who previously served as chairman of NGP, have denied any involvement in the violations.

However, the fallout from the investigation and financial penalties has left the organization struggling to maintain operations amid mounting legal and ethical concerns.

Radical Transgender Militant Group Linked to Border Patrol Agent Murder in Vermont

Federal investigators have linked the murder of a U.S. Border Patrol agent near the Canadian border to a radical militant group accused of multiple killings across the country.

Border Patrol agent David Maland was shot and killed on January 20 during a routine traffic stop in Coventry, Vermont.

The suspects, identified as German national Felix “Ophelia” Bauckholt and University of Washington student Teresa “Milo” Consuelo Youngblut, were traveling in a Toyota Prius when they were stopped.

Authorities say Youngblut opened fire on Maland, killing him, before border agents returned fire, killing Bauckholt. Youngblut was taken into custody.

Court documents reveal that federal law enforcement had been monitoring Bauckholt and Youngblut in the days leading up to the shooting. Staff at a Lyndonville, Vermont, motel had reported seeing the pair with firearms and black tactical clothing.

When law enforcement questioned them, they claimed to be scouting property in the area before checking out of the motel on January 14.

Authorities now say that the weapons used in the attack were linked to a larger investigation involving a shadowy extremist group known as the “Zizians.” This group, led by Jack LaSota—also known by the alias “Ziz”—has been connected to at least four homicides.

Bauckholt, a biological male identifying as transgender, had an extensive background in mathematics and finance.

Originally from Freiburg, Germany, he graduated from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, before working as a quantitative trader at Tower Research Capital in New York. Investigators believe he was in the U.S. on an H-1B visa.

Youngblut, a biological female identifying as transgender, was a computer science student at the University of Washington.

Social media records show Youngblut followed multiple far-left, Antifa-aligned accounts and had been reported missing by family members in May 2024. The family told police they believed she was in a controlling relationship and had cut off contact.

The case took another turn last week when authorities arrested Maximilian Bentley Snyder, a Seattle resident and former classmate of Youngblut. Snyder was charged with the murder of 82-year-old Curtis Lind, an elderly man who was set to testify in an upcoming attempted murder trial involving alleged members of the “Ziz” group. Prosecutors say Snyder killed Lind to prevent his testimony.

Lind was the sole witness in a case against two alleged members of the Ziz group—Suri Dao and Alexander “Somni” Leatham—who are accused of attempting to murder him in 2022.

During that attack, Lind was stabbed multiple times and lost an eye but managed to shoot and kill one of his assailants, Amir “Emma” Borhanian. Authorities have also identified bioinformatics researcher Michelle Jacqueline Zajko as a person of interest.

Zajko, a transgender nonbinary individual, was previously linked to the Ziz group and is believed to have supplied firearms to Bauckholt and Youngblut. Zajko has not been charged with a crime but remains under investigation for a double homicide in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

Following the border shooting, investigators searched Bauckholt and Youngblut’s vehicle and discovered a cache of weapons and tactical gear, including:

  • Two pistols and multiple magazines
  • Night-vision goggles
  • Two full-face respirators
  • A ballistic helmet
  • 48 rounds of hollow-point ammunition
  • Interstate lodging records
  • Two-way radios
  • Multiple electronic devices wrapped in foil

Authorities also searched their prior residence in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where they had been living in an Airbnb with other members of the Ziz group. The property owner reported that Youngblut had parked a large box truck on the premises, where group members frequently gathered.

Federal prosecutors have cited Youngblut’s connections to other violent individuals as a reason to deny bail.

In a January 27 court motion, prosecutor Matthew Lasher wrote, “Her associations with other individuals suspected of violent acts also warrants caution.” Meanwhile, online supporters of the Ziz group have attempted to pressure people not to cooperate with authorities.

Following the murder of witness Curtis Lind, one social media account linked to the group posted, “Ladies and gentlemen, we got him.”

As federal agencies continue to investigate the extent of the Ziz group’s operations, questions remain about their broader network and future threats.

Law enforcement officials have not ruled out additional arrests as they work to uncover more connections between the group’s members and recent violent incidents across multiple states.

Trump Launches Task Force 250 to Plan an “Extraordinary Celebration” of America

President Donald Trump will sign an executive order on Wednesday to establish Task Force 250, a White House-led initiative coordinating the national celebration of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026, Fox News Digital has learned.

The executive order outlines plans for a “grand celebration of the semiquincentennial of the ratification of the Declaration of Independence.” The milestone will mark 250 years since the nation’s founding on July 4, 1776.

The newly formed Task Force 250 will be responsible for organizing and overseeing federal agency efforts related to the anniversary celebrations.

The White House stated that the initiative draws inspiration from the U.S. Bicentennial Celebration of 1976, which emphasized national renewal and unity following a period of division.

“The 250th anniversary will afford an opportunity to unite the American people around their shared history and common future as a nation,” a White House official said.

In addition to establishing Task Force 250, the executive order will reinstate Trump-era initiatives originally signed in 2020 and 2021.

Among them is the creation of the National Garden of American Heroes, a statuary park dedicated to honoring 250 historically significant Americans.

The National Garden of American Heroes was first proposed during Trump’s first term in response to monuments and statues being vandalized or destroyed during nationwide protests.

The garden is expected to feature statues of influential figures, with the first 100 statues commissioned under the new order.

Additionally, Trump’s order will reinstate protections for American monuments, memorials, and statues to prevent their destruction or vandalism.

The White House emphasized that the new executive order is part of Trump’s longstanding commitment to celebrating America’s 250th anniversary and preserving the nation’s history.

Trump previously referenced the upcoming semiquincentennial during his first address to a joint session of Congress in February 2017, stating:

“In nine years, the United States will celebrate the 250th anniversary of our founding, 250 years since the day we declared our Independence.”

The executive orders being reinstated were originally signed during Trump’s first term in response to unrest and violence in cities, where monuments of American presidents and Founding Fathers were targeted and, in some cases, never restored.

As the country approaches July 4, 2026, Task Force 250 will work to ensure that the nation’s semiquincentennial is recognized with a historic and patriotic celebration.

Trump 2028?: GOP Lawmaker Proposes Constitutional Amendment for Potential Third Term

A Republican congressman has introduced a proposed amendment to the U.S. Constitution that could pave the way for former President Donald Trump to potentially serve a third term in the White House.

Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN) announced the amendment, stating it would allow a two-term president to serve a third term if the terms were non-consecutive.

Ogles argued the change is necessary to ensure the country can benefit from what he called “bold leadership” during times of crisis.

“President Trump’s decisive leadership stands in stark contrast to the chaos, suffering, and economic decline Americans have endured over the past four years,” Ogles said in a statement on Thursday.

“He has proven himself to be the only figure in modern history capable of reversing our nation’s decay and restoring America to greatness, and he must be given the time necessary to accomplish that goal.”

The proposed amendment reads:

“No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.”

The amendment would create a legal framework to allow a president to serve a third term under certain conditions.

If passed, it would add to the historical precedent of non-consecutive presidencies, a distinction currently held only by President Grover Cleveland, who served as both the 22nd and 24th President of the United States.

The 22nd Amendment, ratified in 1951, currently limits presidents to two terms.

This was established after Franklin Delano Roosevelt served an unprecedented four terms, setting a new precedent for presidential term limits.

While the proposed amendment aligns with Rep. Ogles’ vision for Trump’s leadership, Trump himself has often joked about the idea of a third term.

His remarks, frequently made in jest, have nonetheless drawn strong reactions from his critics.

One of Trump’s notable posts on his Truth Social platform included a meme depicting campaign signs for “Trump 2024, Trump 2028, Trump 2032,” eventually expanding into far-off centuries.

The post was widely circulated and sparked debate across political circles.

Following his victory in the 2024 election, Trump joked during a meeting with Republican lawmakers about the prospect of another term. “I suspect I won’t be running again, unless you do something,” he said. “Unless you say, ‘He’s so good, we have to just figure it out.’”

Republican lawmakers who attended the meeting clarified that the comments were made in jest.

“That was a joke. It was clearly a joke,” said Rep. Tim Burchett (R-OK). Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) reportedly echoed the sentiment, predicting media outlets would mischaracterize the president’s comments as serious.

Despite the proposed amendment and his occasional jokes, Trump has stated that he does not plan to pursue a third term.

“I wouldn’t be in favor of a challenge. Not for me. I wouldn’t be in favor of it at all,” Trump told Time magazine in a prior interview.

“I intend to serve four years and do a great job. And I want to bring our country back. I want to put it back on the right track.”

While the amendment faces significant legal and political hurdles, it underscores the continued influence of Trump’s presidency and the strong support he maintains among Republican lawmakers and voters.

Transgender ACLU Lawyer Makes Up New Term for Women and the Internet Explodes

ACLU lawyer and transgender rights activist Chase Strangio stirred controversy Tuesday during an appearance on the left-wing digital news show Democracy Now!, where she referred to biological women as “non-transgender women” while criticizing President Donald Trump’s executive order on sex and gender.

Strangio, a transgender man, expressed concern over the executive order, which clarifies the U.S. government’s stance on recognizing only two biological sexes, male and female.

Strangio appeared on the show to slam Trump’s executive order, titled “Defending women from gender ideology extremism and restoring biological truth to the federal government.”

The order asserts that biological men and women are distinct and mandates that agencies follow these directives.

One key provision of the order requires the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to create policies protecting women seeking single-sex spaces, such as rape shelters, from being forced to share spaces with individuals of the opposite biological sex.

Strangio objected to this part of the executive order, claiming that it could “exclude trans people from various forms of shelter” under the assumption that transgender individuals pose an inherent threat to “non-transgender women.”

She further argued that the executive order “enhances the risk that transgender people face in society” by treating them as a threat simply because of their existence in certain spaces.

Strangio’s comment referring to biological women as “non-transgender women” sparked a reaction online, with many critics questioning the terminology.

Conservative social media accounts shared clips of Strangio’s remarks, with one prominent account, End Wokeness, highlighting the moment with the caption, “ACLU lawyer Chase Strangio is panicking that Trump banned men from ‘non-trans women’ (women) locker rooms.”

Conservative commentator Paul Szypula also weighed in, criticizing Strangio’s remarks in a post on X. Szypula described Strangio as a “woman pretending to be a man” and mocked the idea that biological women should be referred to as “non-transgender women.” He added, “Chase can whine all she wants. That doesn’t change the fact that she has XX chromosomes and is a woman. So either she stays out of men’s bathrooms, or she goes to a women’s jail.”

Collin Rugg, co-owner of Trending Politics, also commented on Strangio’s terminology, writing, “NEW: Transgender ACLU lawyer Chase Strangio refers to biological women as ‘non-transgender women’ while losing it over Trump’s new executive orders. This voice catches me off guard every time.” Rugg quipped, “Life hack: You can save some time by simply referring to them as ‘women.’”

Strangio’s comments reflect the ongoing debate over gender identity and the rights of transgender individuals in the context of biological sex, particularly in spaces like shelters and bathrooms.

Critics argue that policies supporting single-sex facilities are essential for protecting the rights and safety of biological women, while others like Strangio view such policies as discriminatory toward transgender people.

The debate continues to gain traction as more states and government entities grapple with how to balance transgender rights with protections for women and other groups.

John Bolton is Upset Over Trump Pulling His Security Detail and Clearance

Former National Security Adviser John Bolton has lost both his security clearance and Secret Service protection, as President Donald Trump moves to remove what he describes as “deep-state actors” from positions of influence.

The decision comes amid Trump’s ongoing efforts to reshape the federal government and hold former officials accountable for actions deemed detrimental to national security.

Shortly after Trump assumed office, the Secret Service detail assigned to Bolton was terminated.

Bolton responded on X, formerly Twitter, expressing his dissatisfaction with the decision while contrasting Trump’s actions with those of his successor, Joe Biden.

“I am disappointed but not surprised that President Trump has decided to terminate the protection previously provided by the United States Secret Service,” Bolton wrote.

He noted that Biden extended his protection in 2021 despite Bolton’s public criticisms of Biden’s national-security policies.

Bolton referenced the continuing threats to his safety, citing a 2022 criminal case against an Iranian Revolutionary Guard official accused of attempting to hire a hitman to target him.

“That threat remains today, as also demonstrated by the recent arrest of someone trying to arrange for President Trump’s own assassination,” Bolton stated.

In addition to losing his Secret Service protection, Bolton’s security clearance was revoked following the publication of his 2019 memoir, which detailed his time in the Trump administration.

L.A. City Council Was Warned That Karen Bass’s Budget Cuts Would Lead to Death

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is under intense scrutiny after recent fires devastated Los Angeles County, becoming the costliest natural disaster in American history.

Criticism of her administration has mounted following revelations about significant budget cuts to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) and concerns about her leadership during the crisis.

Months before the fires began, Mayor Bass approved cuts totaling tens of millions of dollars to the LAFD budget.

Video evidence has surfaced showing multiple LAFD officials warning about the potential impact of these cuts on disaster response capabilities.

These warnings were issued just 21 days before the fires erupted, leaving at least 24 people dead—a number expected to rise as recovery efforts continue.

Critics have accused the city’s political leadership of ignoring these warnings, pointing to the devastating consequences for residents and first responders.

The LAFD’s reduced budget left critical resources stretched thin during the fires, exacerbating the disaster’s toll.

Amid the ongoing crisis, Mayor Bass left the country to attend the inauguration of Ghana’s president.

While Los Angeles County burned, Bass was reportedly seen at an embassy cocktail reception.

When questioned about her decision to travel during a disaster, Bass stated she had no regrets, a comment that has further fueled public outrage.

This trip has become a focal point of criticism, with many residents and commentators questioning her priorities.

Bass previously promised not to leave the country while in office, making her actions during this crisis particularly controversial.

Calls for Bass’s recall have intensified as the city grapples with the aftermath of the fires.

Critics argue that the mayor’s decisions, including the LAFD budget cuts, have directly contributed to the scale of the disaster.

Additionally, her administration’s allocation of funds has drawn scrutiny, with significant resources reportedly diverted to programs addressing homelessness, climate initiatives, and services for undocumented immigrants.

The LAFD itself has faced internal turmoil, with Fire Chief Kristin Crowley criticized for pushing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives that many argue distracted from the department’s core mission.

The mounting criticism has led to growing momentum for a recall effort against Mayor Bass.

Residents and political commentators alike have expressed frustration with her leadership during what many see as a preventable disaster.

The fire’s devastation and the perceived mismanagement by city leadership have left Bass politically vulnerable, with some calling for her to step down even if a recall effort does not succeed.

As Los Angeles works to recover from the fires, the focus remains on accountability and preventing similar disasters in the future.

The death toll, economic damage, and widespread criticism of the city’s response have underscored the need for effective leadership and resource allocation.

Mayor Bass has yet to publicly address the calls for her recall or the broader criticism of her handling of the crisis.

However, the political fallout from these events is likely to shape her future in public office.

AOC’s Unhinged Rant in the House: Republicans Want to Examine Little Girls’ Genitals

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) took center stage in the House chamber to rail against the GOP-backed Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2025.

She accused Republicans of hypocrisy and using women’s rights as a smokescreen to push what she called a “bigoted” agenda targeting transgender girls.

“Here we are today, Republicans who have voted against consistently against the Violence Against Women Act, who have taken away the right of all women to choose and have control over their own body, who, as women, are bleeding out in parking lots across the country, standing there allowing us to die. Now want to pretend today that they care about women,” Ocasio-Cortez said, highlighting what she views as glaring contradictions in Republican priorities.

The bill, which seeks to ban transgender girls from participating in girls’ sports, has sparked fierce debate.

Ocasio-Cortez warned that its vague wording could pave the way for harmful enforcement practices. “The majority right now says there’s no place in this bill that says it opens up for gender genital examinations. Well, here’s the thing, there’s no enforcement mechanism in this bill, and when there is no enforcement mechanism, you open the door to every enforcement mechanism.”

Ocasio-Cortez argued that such legislation could lead to invasive scrutiny of young girls based on their appearance or behavior.

“What this also opens the door for is for women to try to perform a very specific kind of femininity, for the very kind of men who are drafting this bill, and to open up questioning of who is a woman because of how we look, how we present ourselves, and yes, what we choose to do with our bodies,” she said.

Her critique didn’t stop there. The congresswoman took aim at the bill’s backers, accusing them of having ulterior motives.

“I know who loves this bill. Yes, bigoted folks love this bill. Assaulters love this bill. But also CEOs love this bill, because Los Angeles is on fire right now, and this is the number one priority this majority has.”

Ocasio-Cortez also expressed frustration with what she sees as misplaced focus in Congress, urging lawmakers to address pressing issues like climate change.

“Los Angeles is on fire right now, and this is the number one priority this majority has,” she repeated, underscoring her belief that the bill distracts from more critical problems.

The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act remains a lightning rod for controversy.

Supporters argue it ensures fairness in women’s sports, while critics, like Ocasio-Cortez, claim it promotes discrimination and infringes on personal autonomy.

With the debate heating up, Ocasio-Cortez’s impassioned speech has further polarized the discussion.
