Since her effective confirmation as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee, the mainstream media has sought to eradicate previous claims and attacks against Vice President Kamala Harris.
Media outlets have deleted previous reporting on Harris’ left-wing views, descriptions of her as a “border czar” while Politico claimed her anti-fracking stance was an “allegation”.
On Wednesday, July 31, the Associated Press became the latest outlet to attempt to alter history when reporting on Donald Trump’s appearance before the National Association of Black Journalists in Chicago.
After a question regarding whether the Republican candidate believed Harris was the Democratic nominee “because she is a Black woman,” Trump said he “didn’t know” she was Black due to her previous ethnicity claims.
“She was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage,” Trump responded. “I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black.”
“Now she wants to be known as Black,” Trump continued before adding that his presidential rival “obviously doesn’t” respect either race due to her conflicting claims.
Watch his comments below:
The Associated Press claimed the former president “falsely suggested” Harris had misled voters over her race.
However, social media users were quick to find evidence to the contrary.
So poor was the Associated Press’ argument that a guy who goes by the name “Catturd” was able to refute it.
And everyone else could see through their BS too.
Others agreed with Trump’s comments.
Harris is trying to claw back Black American voters who may be tempted by a second Trump presidency. Although not the largest demographic of the American electorate, many Black voters live in highly populated swing states, thus making them crucial in the race for the White House.
