Social media was split over a video in which Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz appeared to flip the bird at a pro-Trump supporter.
The Minnesota Gov. attended a college football game on Saturday, Sept. 28 where the Michigan Wolverines beat the Minnesota Golden Gophers 27-24. The matchup marked Walz’s home state taking on Michigan – a swing state him and Kamala Harris must win if they are to stand any chance of winning the presidential election.
Walz enjoyed the corporate hospitality for much of the game, although he also took the opportunity to fraternize with local supporters.
However, footage from Saturday’s fixture suggested a hostile reception for Walz. The Minnesota Gov. was reportedly booed for his support of the Wolverines’ rivals, with video footage quickly being taken offline.
Another video appeared to show Walz given one Michigan fan the middle finger after he shouted, “Trump 2024 baby!” as the Democrat was passing by.
One attendee spoke out to confirm that Walz was in fact booed – and that he partook.
You may have noticed one minor problem with that top left photo, by the way….
Some on social media were not convinced by the weather-affected footage.
The poster defended the attacks from pro-Democrats concerning the liberal Ann Arbor.
Many, though, were supportive of those who had been flipped off.
