A Houston father received an unexpected and deeply unusual DoorDash delivery Monday when the driver who brought food to his home appeared on his Ring camera without any clothing, as reported by The New York Post.
Kiante Matlock said he was inside his home playing video games with his daughter when he received a notification that his DoorDash order had arrived.
Because he regularly uses the delivery service, Matlock initially expected an ordinary drop-off at his front door.
Instead, when he checked his Ring camera, he saw a driver leaving the food on his porch while completely naked.
The footage showed the driver, who had shoulder-length dreadlocks, walking onto the property and placing the order at the front door.
The driver then returned to the vehicle without appearing to react to the unusual nature of the situation.
Matlock said he was stunned by what he saw and initially had trouble believing the footage was real.
After discovering how the food had been delivered, Matlock discarded the order and contacted DoorDash about the incident. The company refunded his money and said it took immediate action against the driver.
“What this consumer experienced was abhorrent, and we’ve reached out directly to offer our support. This man’s behavior was vulgar and completely unacceptable, and as soon as we were made aware, our team permanently removed their access to our platform,” DoorDash said in a statement to Fox 26 Houston.
“We do not tolerate sexual harassment or misconduct of any kind, and we stand ready to assist law enforcement with any investigation.”
DoorDash also advised customers who feel unsafe because of a driver’s conduct to call 911. The company directed Matlock and other customers to additional safety resources available through its website.
The incident comes as delivery services continue to rely on independent drivers to bring meals and other purchases directly to customers’ homes.
DoorDash has rules governing driver conduct, and the company said the behavior captured on Matlock’s security camera violated its standards.
The Houston incident is not the first time a DoorDash driver has been caught on camera engaging in questionable behavior while making a delivery.
In December 2025, a Florida delivery driver was recorded after a chicken wing fell onto a customer’s driveway.
The driver reportedly picked up the wing, placed it back into the takeout container, and licked sauce from his fingers before leaving the property.
Another incident occurred several weeks later when a Dasher was accused of attempting to deceive a customer by immediately marking an order as delivered and submitting an AI-generated photograph purportedly showing the food at the customer’s front step.
While those earlier incidents involved food-handling and delivery concerns, the Houston case prompted a much stronger response from DoorDash because of the driver’s conduct toward the customer.
For Matlock, what should have been a routine food delivery instead became an unsettling experience captured by his home security system.
The Ring footage provided a record of the delivery and allowed him to see what had happened outside his home after receiving the notification that the order had arrived.
DoorDash said it permanently removed the driver’s access to its platform after learning about the incident and indicated that it would cooperate with law enforcement if an investigation takes place.
