Joe Rogan Breaks Silence on Why He Finally Interviewed Trump

World-renowned podcaster Joe Rogan recently explained why he agreed to interview then-former president Donald J. Trump. Rogan was appearing on the ‘Ultimate Human’ podcast when he spilled the beans.

Trump’s “Joe Rogan Experience interview” shifted the support of a significant number of Americans, particularly younger voters, in the president’s favor. According to Trump, the idea of appearing on Joe Rogan was his youngest son Barron’s idea.

However, Rogan was not keen on interviewing Trump, who was then labeled the greatest threat to Western Democracy, and Trump did not even know the podcaster.

“My son Barron recommended me to go on Joe Rogan and all these podcasters,” Trump said. “He knew all the names. I said ‘who is that?’ He said ‘Dad, I can’t believe you don’t know who this is.”

Trump’s Rogan interview went on to become one of the most-watched videos worldwide, amassing nearly 60 million views on YouTube. It also exposed the hypocrisy of the left after Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris refused to appear for a similar interview.

To save face, Kamala blamed scheduling conflicts. However, Rogan disclosed that the Democratic candidate refused to accept his terms, which included having no campaign staff present during the interview.

It is highly unlikely that Kamala could candidly discuss serious issues like border security as Trump did without reading from a script. Sunny Hostin even admitted that she may have regretfully sabotaged Kamala Harris’s campaign by asking a basic question on Hostin’s show “The View” about which issues the former Vice President would handle differently from Biden.

Rogan talked about why he decided to finally interview Trump:

“Well, there was a bunch of things that happened,” Rogan said. “First of all, there was the lawfare. There was these lawsuits that they were trying to pin on him.”

Rogan explained that the blatant persecution of Trump, cheered on by the lynch mob, and based on made-up charges regarding a “bookkeeping error” that was past the statute of limitations, was not fair.

“They were trying to convict him and turn him into a felon, and they were doing it so blatantly and obviously. The case with the bookkeeping error or the bookkeeping, whatever it was. The misdemeanor that they had charged him with 34 felonies for, which isn’t even a felony. It’s a misdemeanor, and it’s also past the statute of limitations. None of it made any sense. And people were cheering it on. ‘He’s a convicted felon.’”

The attempted assassination of Trump at his Butler, Pennsylvania, rally also weighed heavily in Rogan’s decision to interview the then-former president. Leftist media bias further pushed Rogan to step up and offer a level playing field for all candidates.

“There’s no real conversations with him where you’re just treating him like a human being,” he added. “Like everything, he’s being grilled and then everything’s taken out of context and I’m seeing him being taken out of context on the campaign trail and like it was just gross. It was just so anti-American.”
