Kamala Harris ‘surprised’ a Pennsylvania family with some late-night canvassing in the swing state on the eve of Election Day.
The Vice President, flanked by an army of media and campaign officials, visited the family in her bid to secure Pennsylvania’s 19 Electoral College votes. If she fails to win the Keystone State, it’s extremely unlikely she will amass the 270 required to win the presidency.
Harris had hoped her visit would demonstrate her commitment to listening to voters, even going as far as visiting them personally once the sun went down.
However, there was a problem. In footage shared by Donald Trump’s campaign, Harris can be seen awkwardly conversing with the family on their front porch.
“I, I… I wanna door knock [sic],” Harris laughed awkwardly as she asked them to go back inside. The family then trudged to the door, went inside, before Harris greeted them as if nothing had ever happened. She then continued the conversation, which was not picked up by recording equipment.
Many on social media were quick to call out the footage as fake – just as everything about Harris and her campaign is.
Others believed it was a little bit late for the Vice President to go Trick or Treating!
